What is up my fellow Dragonborn brothers and sisters, this is your ever humble host, King here and today is my 20th Skyrim build SPECIAL, last time was "The Aetherial guardian" a defensive MONSTER combined with Shield-staff combat and elemental damage output, but now is a unique mixed build that makes use of a combination of Vampire and Werewolf benefits and the use of a trick I learned to be both species at the same time

But before that, I wanna say that I hope you guys who are going to school that are reading this to have a great school year and be sure to keep your wits about you, my advice, look out for the little guys and girls and try your hardest but back to business

This build was inspired from the "Blade" and "Underworld" movie series which are great by the way

So, without further delay, time to present my 20th Skyrim special

"The hybrid"

Description:

The Dark elf known as the hybrid is the ultimate hunter, born over a hundred of years ago from the forbidden union of a werewolf male and a vampire female, born as an abomination against nature as a child born from the conception of a vampire and werewolf, both Hircine and Molag Bal, the hybrid possesses the combined strengths of both Vampire and Werewolf such as overwhelming strength and speed, boundless stamina, accelerated healing, blood magic, night magic and the blessings of Hircine which when combined together, it makes for one of if not the most dangerous living being in all of Tamriel, nothing escapes this deadly crossbreed between two of the most powerful and dangerous, supernatural beings in the world of fiction and when playing as this character you will for SURE feel like you're an unstoppable force of nature more than anything else

Backstory:

For thousands of years, unseen to the world was war that ragged for as long as humans have been alive, a vicious blood feud between Vampires the cunning and magic empowered spawns of the lord of rape, Molag Bal and Werewolves the vicious and beastly spawns of the master of the hunt, Hircine two creatures of the night, both powerful, both immortal and both eternally hating the other, they wagged an endless war of carnage and blood for thousands of years, countless loses on either side of the spectrum but it wasn't until one fateful day when things would change, a couple of years before the vampire Serana was sealed away with the Elder scroll to prevent her father Harkon from bringing the "Prophecy of the black sun" to fruition, her mother had a loyal servant that Harkon had captured and forced into slavery, a Dark Elf by the name of Gallon, he faithfully served Valerica for several years but unknown to Harkon, his wife and Gallon had an affair with each other which resulted in her secretly falling pregnant, when Harkon found out about the affair he murdered Gallon, the only man who ever treated Valerica with true love and kindness, in pain and rage Valerica with Serana fled that night to Dimhallow crypt and Serana was sealed away before she sealed herself into the Soul Carin, she gave birth to the first ever half Vampire, half Werewolf hybrid, this child, the half-brother of Serana was left at the Riften orphanage where he was raised by a kind man who always treated him like a son, however it was only a couple of years before the other children and Riften noticed that the child was rapidly growing and exhibiting traits similar to that of a Vampire and a Werewolf, they were shocked to see that he had reached full maturity in just seven years, the child was then chased out of Riften as a monster but with the help of the man who raised him, he managed to get away with the man offering one last bit of advice before the hybrid took off "People fear what they do not understand, but do not judge them as harshly and quickly as they have with you treat others as you wish to be treated" those words alone stuck with the hybrid for the last one hundred years which leads up to the events of Skyrim in an attempt to leave the land and thus he is carted off to Helgen to be executed

How to become a Vampire, Werewolf hybrid: (So make sure to pay attention if you've never done this trick before) (Though as a cautionary warning, I've only done this trick on X-Box 360 and not any other consuls, so I don't know if it works on PlayStation or later X-Box consuls)

Step 1-Join the Volkihar vampire clan and be turned by Harkon, continue on they're questline until you get to the part where you have to either find a Moth priest or search for Valerica

Step 2-While Serana is a follower of yours during said quests for a Moth priest or Valerica, make sure you have gone through the Companion's questline until the quest where your offered a chance to become a Werewolf, Serana can go into the Under forge with you during this quest

Step 3-When you are required to drink the blood of Aela the huntress to become a Werewolf make sure to save your game before interacting with the fountain of blood, next make sure to have "Vampire lord form" selected as your current power, then count down from 3 and on the count of 1 press BOTH the RB button and the A button to interact with the blood in the fountain and transform into a Vampire lord at EXACTLY the same time

Step 4-Once your screen turns black and you end up outside you will first appear to become a Werewolf but then the animation will change to Vampire lord and here is where you have to act quickly and I mean almost LIGHTNING fast, go to your power menu while in Vampire lord form and select "Revert form" quickly change back to human then go to powers again and select Beast form and change into a Werewolf after that wait until the screen turns black again and the current Companions quest, once you change back to human you may or may not have this Werewolf animation on your character, just wait and change into Beast form again to fix it

Step 5-Now you are a hybrid of Vampire and Werewolf but until you feed on someone you will not have access to your Vampiric powers, a simple fix, go to castle Valkahar and feed on one of the many thralls they have in their dungeon to regain your vampiric powers after that you can switch between Vampire and Werewolf form without any more problems

Roleplay:

When roleplaying as the hybrid, it's a little difficult to imagine him already as a half Vampire, Werewolf at the beginning of the game, so it would make sense to roleplay that he hasn't used his hybrid powers in the last hundred years and other than his immortality, they are severely weakened, so just roleplay that until you get the chances to become both Vampire and Werewolf and do the hybridization trick I just explained to you up top, as for the hybrid himself, despite his terrifying origins and power, he is a benevolent, chaotic good man who is what Shakespeare would call a tragic character, born from a forbidden love into a world where anyone who was different from anyone else is discriminated and hunted down to be killed since the moment he could crawl, forced on the run and to defend himself in an unforgiving world, he belonged to both worlds but is an outsiders to both, but unlike others who would turn hateful and vengeful, thanks to the man who raised him at the orphanage he instilled in the hybrid a sense of right and wrong and taught him honor, honesty which developed into a deep desire to live up to the last words of the man who raised him and the only man who ever truly cared for him, to protect those he is close to, to do this he decides to fully master his powers, both vampire and werewolf half in order to find true balance and even evolve to a much more powerful version of both and become a being MUCH stronger than any other vampire or werewolf not just in Skyrim but the world, truly becoming the bane of enemies and a powerful guardian against those who threaten the land he calls home

Quest lines:

Main quest (Skyrim is the hybrids home and after discovering that he is Dragonborn, he is stunned beyond belief, how could a monster even among other monsters be chosen to a hero destined to destroy the world eater Alduin, while he tries to make sense of this the Graybeards offer him training and wisdom and thanks to said wisdom he truly looks inside of himself for the first time and sees something that is worthy to be a hero to the world and he fully embraces the position as Dragonborn and he very much enjoys the talks and meditation that he does with Paarthurnax and therefore refuses to kill him as he takes what the old dragon says to heart "What is better to be born good or to overcome your own nature through great effort")

Dragonborn (Being a Dragonborn is one thing but meeting the first Dragonborn was something that even the hybrid thought would never happen not in even a thousand years, but yet he eventually comes face to face with Miraak the first Dragonborn and who is just as powerful as he is but with none of the morality, if he conquers Skyrim then none will be safe, the hybrid will travel to Apocrypha to not only learn useful black book abilities and harness the powers of the Maker stones scattered about Solstiem but also of course, kill Miraak and end his reign of terror over the island also you will want to collect all of the Werewolf rings from the Frostmoon Werewolf pack, each giving a unique added ability to the Werewolf form)

Dawnguard (Of course, we'll want to go with the Volkihar vampire clan in order to perform the trick I showed you to become a vampire, werewolf hybrid, because I tried it without joining the Volkihar clan and it didn't work, plus this is a way to roleplay the hybrid reuniting with his mother, Valerica and meeting his half-sister Serana who for some unknown reason fells an undeniable connection with them akin to that of family and he grows to love unconditionally and will do anything for them and to protect them, he will also want to collect the Amulet of bats, Amulet of gargoyles, the Ring of the beast and Ring of the Erudite and eventually he will take control of the clan itself, he cares not for Harkon only Serana and Valerica)

Companions (The Companions are the first real taste of brotherhood the hybrid has had in the last 100 years and he can't deny that he finds these rough but incredibly close warriors somewhat of an extended family, especially that some of them are werewolves and sees Kodlak White-Mane as something as a grandfather figure but is nearly ripped apart beyond repair at his death, in the end he takes up his "grandfather's" mantel and becomes the new Harbinger and make sure to NEVER lose another one of his brothers or sisters in arms again and collect the totems of Hircine to gain more power)

College of Winterhold (The hybrid being half vampire has access to powerful magics, but he was not trained as a mage, so he goes to the College in fact it's one of his first stops to not only learn how to harness his magical aptitude but also learn some extremely useful spells)

Thieves guild (The hybrid while not exactly the thieving type what we want here is the amount of influence that the guild has, having friends THIS influential under your control can certainly tip the scales of power, plus we also want one of the powers that Nocturnal grants us at the end of her questline)

Daedric quests (I leave it up to you to decide which quests are morally gray enough for the hybrid can take part in, but Boethiah and Molag Bal's quests are strict no goes)

Destroy the Dark brotherhood

Miscellaneous quests (Other quests this guy can take part in are "Amulets of night power", "Ring's of blood magic", "Ancient power", "Ill meet by moonlight", "Unearthed" and any other quest that deals with the supernatural or paranormal)

State spread and standing stone:

When leveling with this character you will want to put 3 points in Magicka, 2 in Health and 1 in Stamina, since we will be using very powerful spells we will want to get as much Magicka as we can for this build, as for the standing stone there is no better standing stone than the Lady stone for vampires which will make them much more reliable in the daytime with extra Health and Stamina regeneration

Weapons and armor:

Vampire royal armor

Stormcloak officer's helmet "Hybrid visage" (Fortify Restoration and Fortify Magicka regeneration)

Wolf gauntlets "Hybrid claws" (Fortify Archery and Fortify Magicka)

Wolf boots "Hybrid stalkers" (Fortify Stamina regeneration and Resist fire)

Silver ruby ring "Bloodlust band" (Fortify Conjuration and Fortify Archery)

Silver sapphire necklace "Full moon amulet" (Fortify Health regeneration and Resist fire)

Daedric bow "Blood eclipse" (Fiery soul trap and Silent moon enchantment)

Stalhrim bow "Winter's breath" (Frost damage and Damage Stamina)

Ebony bow "Shadow of Magnus" (Shock damage and Chaos damage)

Elven bow "Auriel's corruption" (Absorb health and Absorb Stamina)

Amulet of gargoyles

Ring of the Erudite

Ring of Hircine

Ring of instinct

Ring of the moon

Auriel's bow

Bloodcursed arrows

The mixture of armor pieces resembles both the vampire and werewolf side of the hybrids personality, the chest piece has a 125% Magicka regeneration speed which is better than the Arch-Mage robes along with coverage enchantments like Restoration, Magicka regeneration, Archery, Magicka, Archery, Conjuration, Stamina regeneration, Health regeneration and of course the BIGGEST part, two fire resistance enchantments combined with the fire resistance on the character himself, you will be pretty well protected against one of the vampires BIGGEST weaknesses and along with the boost to both Magicka and Magicka regeneration but if you need more Magicka regeneration you can switch over to the Ring of the Erudite combined with the other Magicka regeneration enchantments and Restoration perks then you will hardly EVER have to worry about Magicka management issues, the Amulet of the gargoyles is to be put on you when you opt to transform into the Vampire lord form because summoning TWO gargoyles that can drain health from foes with each strike of their claws is always the way to go for vampires to me, as for the werewolf form you will want to either go for the Ring of the moon to extend the duration of werewolf roar abilities or the Ring of instinct to slow down time when you go for the werewolf form, as for the four bows, use "Blood eclipse" as your main weapon during the night because of the Silent moon enchantment, "Winter's breath" is for warrior type enemies and Stalhrim weapons boost the effectiveness of frost enchantments placed on them, "Shadow of Magnus" is for enemies that use magic like mages and dragons and "Auriel's corruption" it's used for getting health and stamina when you have to fight in the daytime as for Auriel's bow, use it to turn day into night with Bloodcursed arrows shot at the sun

Skill spread: 69 perks needed

Alteration (Novice Alteration, Apprentice Alteration, Adept Alteration, Expert Alteration, Master Alteration, Alteration dual casting, Mage armor 3/3, Stability)

Alteration is here because of the fact that when we change into either our vampire or werewolf forms we lose all our armor and thus with the additions of Alteration dual casting, Mage armor and Stability we can add armor ratings to our two powerful forms for a limited time that way we still have the power of these forms and extra layers of defense seeing as how flesh spells can carry over into vampire and werewolf forms

Archery (Overdraw 5/5, Eagle eye, Steady hand 1/2)

We will need to be able to rely on more than just werewolf claws and vampiric magics, so we will need a way to damage enemies from a distance and though we don't have the more useful perks in this tree, with the powerful, enchanted bows listed above you'll still be able to pack one HELL of a punch, with the stealth and vampire boost to stealth you can easily pull off shots like a stealth archer build with these powerful bows and benefits

Conjuration (Novice Conjuration, Apprentice Conjuration, Adept Conjuration, Summoner 1/2, Necromancy, Atromancy, Elemental potency, Twin souls)

Every vampire needs to be able to summon allies to aid them in tough scraps, flame Atronach's are perfect for long-ranged fighting, frost Atronach's are great for close-ranged attacks and storm Atronach's are a combination of both, pick your poison and go for it but if you really wanna stick to the theme of being a half werewolf character, I would go for the normal or flaming familiars

Destruction (Novice Destruction, Dual Destruction casting)

Destruction dual casting is only here for an extra buff to out Vampiric drain Destruction spell which will come into play with a special move I will touch on down the road also when you transform into the werewolf form you can add an elemental cloak spell like fire, frost or shock to further increase the damage output and versatility of the transformed form

Enchanting (Enchanter 5/5, Fire Enchanter, Frost Enchanter, Storm Enchanter, Insightful Enchanter, Corpus Enchanter, Extra effect)

Enchanting is here to add much needed utility for vampires in the daylight, seeing as how they lose a BUNCH of benefits in daylight and with the added bonus of fire resistance and the powerful bows you'll be crafting this skill is a MUST for the hybrid

Illusion (Novice Illusion, Apprentice Illusion, Adept Illusion, Expert Illusion, Master Illusion, Animage, Kindred mage, Quiet casting, Hypnotic gaze, Aspect of terror, Rage, Master of the mind, Illusion dual casting)

Thanks to the benefits of being a vampire, Illusion will be boosted making it even stronger than normally and with the Necromage perk giving even MORE needless to say you can make summoned allies IMMENSLY powerful

Restoration (Novice Restoration, Apprentice Restoration, Adept Restoration, Regeneration, Recovery 2/2, Respite, Necromage)

Not only will this give us healing spells but also the IMMENSLY important Necromage perk making all the enchantments and boosts to our abilities MUCH stronger seeing as how we ARE undead, Necromage is a must have perk for ANY vampire build

Sneak (Stealth 5/5, Muffled movement, Light foot, Silent roll, Silence, Shadow warrior)

Unlike werewolves, vampires are MASTERS of stealth and shadows therefore it would make sense to have this skill, make the shadows your allies with this skill tree

Blink (Quiet casting + Whirlwind sprint) (When sneaking and needing to get around fast without being detected, the hybrid can swiftly "teleport" through the shadows, the hybrid learned this move from another vampire called "The shadow Harbinger")

Blood moon call (Ring of the moon + Totem of brotherhood) (A move the hybrid learned from a sister of the wolf blood "The beast of Sithis" who taught him how to do this move enabling him to call upon two of his fallen, Werewolf brothers from Hircine's hunting ground and thus adds an advantage in combat)

Hybrid calvery (Two of any of the three Atronach's + Call to arms + Courage + Rally + Bardic knowledge) (With two allies that are heavily boosted with Call to arms, Courage on one and Rally on the other, you will be leading two IMMENSLY powerful allies into battle especially when they're amp them up even more with the Bardic knowledge power)

Vampiric embrace (Frost breath + Dragonborn frost + Dual cast Vampiric drain + Blood of the ancients) (A move that slows down enemies with an upgraded Frost breath shout then followed up with Vampiric drain boosted from the Blood stone chalice and Destruction dual casting, this way you can drain foes of Health, Magicka and Stamina all at once as they're in a weakened and slowed state)

Hircine's champion (Dragon aspect + Dual cast Dragon hide + Dual cast elemental cloak depending on the enemy) (Through his unique connection to the Daedric prince Hircine, the hybrid can transform into a MUCH more powerful werebeast with added protection and more combat versatility with an elemental cloak that will harm any enemy around you and with the added protection from both Dragon hide and Dragon aspect, you are a TERROR to all who face you)

Chaos storm (Auriel's bow + Bloodcursed arrows + Storm call + Shadowcloak of Nocturnal + Shadow of Magnus + Shadow warrior) (As the sun darkens and a whirling storm of wind and lightning clouds the skies, the hybrid then "becomes one" with the storm itself thanks to Shadowcloak of Nocturnal and Shadow warrior from the Sneak tree, you can dart in and out of sneak mode and land powerful shots on your opponents with Shadow of Magnus which thanks to its enchantments being the strongest, raw damage output in the game, you can become one with the storm you created and sow absolute chaos)

And with THAT…this ends "The hybrid" build one of the strongest builds I have made if I'm being completely honest, I made this for all those out there who know how to hybridize vampire and werewolf and couldn't decide which to pick vampire or werewolf, so I made this highly satisfying compromise, if you decide to give this a try let me know how it goes

I'm taking a small break from my Skyrim builds and focusing more on a new series and a continuation of an old series of mine, next time, I'm working on the next story in my "Cooper's creed" series and posting a new series, one I've been ITCHING to put on but have been working on for…SUCH A LONG-ASS TIME that I've lost count, "Brave heart" so be on the lookout

But until that time comes, I hope you guys have a good one and make sure to come back for more

It's been my pleasure my fellow Dragonborn's, see ya next time
