Chapter 4
Officer Mark parked his car outside of the abandoned Pizzaplex. He turned on the radio and said: "Dispatch? You there?" At the police station, in the radio room, the dispatcher says: "Mark? Didn't the boss give you a week off?" "Yes, but this is a family emergency. I'm at the old Pizzaplex building, and my niece is inside. If you don't hear from me in about... six hours, send everyone over here."
Officer Mark turned off the radio and stepped out of the car. He stared at the Pizzaplex, there was a scaffolding leading up to a hole above the main entrance. "I bet Cassie got in that way." He climbed up to the hole and looked inside. "Cassie? It's Uncle Mark! Are you in here?" Officer Mark took a breath before stepping inside. He climbed a ladder down and looked around.
"Oh my. This place has seen better days. I hope Cassie's ok." He turned on his flashlight and walked through a small gate. He then walked through the gift shop and stopped in front of the elevators. One of them was open, so he looked inside. He saw a hatch in the roof and climbed on top of it. He saw a ladder, so he climbed up to the top of it.
There was a small vent, Officer Mark took a deep breath before entering it. He slowly climbed through the vents, some of it broke and it led down into one of the kitchens. Officer Mark stood up and walked through the kitchen. He walked through a door and entered a utility tunnel. After walking through it, he crawled under a shelf and entered a stairway.
Officer Mark walked to the bottom of the stairway and entered another tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, there was a pipe, and he decided to enter it. He crawled up the pipe and after a while, he opened a vent and climbed out. He looked around and realized, he was in the main atrium of the Pizzaplex. "This is the center of the whole place. But where is Cassie?"
Officer Mark looked on the ground and picked up a map of the Pizzaplex. He looked at the different areas, so he could figure out where Cassie was. After a few minutes, he said: "Wait a minute, Roxy Raceway? Of course. Roxy was Cassie's friend. She must be trying to find Roxy."
