Chapter 10
Whilst Jack was fixing Roxy, Mark was at the hospital. He walked up to the receptionist and said: "I'm here to see my niece." "What's the patient's name sir?" "Cassie." The receptionist looks on her computer and tells Mark which room she was in. "Thank you," says Mark. He walked down a hallway, until he reached the room with Cassie inside it.
He walked inside and looked at the bed. Cassie was asleep on the bed, Mark got a chair and sat next to her. He held one of her hands and said: "Your dad wants to be here, but he's working right now. And he told me, to tell you, that you're going to love what he's working on." As Mark held onto her hand, Cassie's eyes slowly opened. She looked over and said: "Uncle Mark?"
Mark looked up at Cassie and said: "Cassie? You're awake!" Cassie places a hand on her head and says: "Where am I?" "You're in a hospital. I found you in the Pizzaplex, and I got you out." "Where's my dad?" "Your dad is working, unfortunately. But don't worry, I'm sure he'll come and see you." A few hours later, Jack was nearly done fixing Roxy.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Oh shoot." Jack grabs a blanket and covers Roxy with it. He walks up to the door and opens it; Mark was standing outside. "Hey, how is Cassie?" says Jack. "She's doing ok. She asked for you though," says Mark. "Damn it. Listen, I'm so close to finishing Roxy. When I'm done, then I'll go and see her."
"Ok then. Can I come in?" "Sure." Mark walks inside and sits down on the sofa. "Can I ask you something?" says Mark. "Of course. What is it?" says Jack. "Why are you fixing Roxy?" Jack took a deep breath before saying: "Because she's Cassie's favourite animatronic." "I already know that, is there another reason?" Jack looks away before saying: "Well, do you remember when we celebrated Cassie's birthday at the Pizzaplex?"
"Yes, I do." "Well, since Roxy was the only one to come and celebrate her birthday. And since her mom left, so I could raise her on my own." "Yes?" "I was thinking of fixing Roxy so she could help me raise Cassie." "What?" "I know it sounds insane, but when I saw her happy on her birthday, I didn't want Cassie to be sad ever again."
"So what happened to her mom?" "She told me that she would rather be with someone that hates Fazbear Entertainment, just as much as she does. But what she didn't realize, was the fact that this was the only job that I could find that pays fair." "Why didn't you tell her that? "I did, but she wouldn't listen. When people think of this company, most of them are like Cassie's mom."
"What do you mean?" "When they think of Fazbear Entertainment, they think of William Afton. And what he did." "I see. He was a nasty piece of work." "What I don't understand, is why they can't just forget about him and move on?" "Well, maybe it's not just about what he did. But maybe it's also what the animatronics did as well. Do you remember The Bite of 83, and 87?"
"Yes. First it was a kid who got his face chomped, then a security guard." "Exactly. Sometimes even the animatronics can turn bad."
