These characters don't belong to me, they belong to Martin Walls and his video called The Mysterious House. The only characters that I own are characters that aren't in The Mysterious House or the unnamed character's headcanon names.
Somewhere in an unknown reality, an apocalypse happened. Not much is known about what caused it, but it is believed that before all the chaos, the land where many once lived was a place of peace. Many remember it as a prosperous time to be alive. Friendly folks, good food, many career opportunities, and so much more. But what once was a promising future for the generations to come, had become nothing but a reality that never came to be.
Across Brighton, many went to the fallout shelters as the air raid sirens went off. It was quite the chaotic site, especially since nothing significant had happened in Brighton for years up to that point. Whatever the cause for this was, it didn't matter. What mattered was everyone went to safety. Once a majority had gone underground, a large explosion could be seen in distance.
Everything was black and a muffled voice could be heard. Tammy's eyes opened as Duckie said, "Tammy!" She looked at him, seeing him in some kind of one piece outfit and even saw herself wearing one too. She was quite confused on what was going on. "Duckie?" Tammy said unsurely. "Sorry, you looked like you were drifting off or something," said Duckie. Tammy was still confused as she looked around to see Brighton destroyed.
"Thank goodness we took shelter," Duckie explained, "I don't know how long we've been down there, but it looks like we may have been down in the shelter for longer than we thought. Brighton looks like it aged terribly fast. Though, that might have been because of the explosion days or weeks ago. It doesn't look too toxic out here." Tammy didn't know how she got here or why, but she just decided to agree with Duckie. "Right..." she replied, "So uhh, what do we do now?" "We're gonna see if we can find anyone or if there are further civilizations after the blast," said Duckie, "But we have to be careful as it could be dangerous out there."
Duckie and Tammy set off through a destroyed Brighton. Most homes and buildings were either completely damaged, partially damaged, or left abandoned after the explosion. The atmosphere was quite eerie as there didn't seem to be a person in sight. "This doesn't feel real," Tammy thought, "For one moment, I was doing something, then I am suddenly here? What was it I was doing anyway?"
Her thoughts were interrupted when something dropped right next to them. It looked like a can of soda, but there was some glowing red on it. It turned out to be a fast blinking light that made a beeping noise. Duckie and Tammy were quick to move out of the way. The can then exploded as laughing could be heard from above them. The two hid in an alleyway as two others came out of the building they are adjacent to. One was an owl, while the other was a crow.
"Where did they go?" asked the crow. "I don't know Al, but whoever those 2 were are walking on our terf!" replied the owl. Duckie and Tammy looked at each other. "How long were we underground for again?" asked Tammy.
Suddenly, a ray of green light almost hit her. Tammy looked to see both the owl with her weapon out. "I found em Al!" she said. The owl began shooting as rays of green light nearly hit Tammy and Duckie who were running. Eventually, the two were out of sight. The crow came over with his weapon. "Well Terri, at leasf you tried," said Al, "They won't make it far on our terf."
Duckie and Tammy continued to run. They ran through the alleyways until they came out onto another street. Other folks who saw Duckie and Tammy and glared at them. "What?" asked Tammy. Nobody responded to them, just staring in silence. Duckie then noticed everyone wearing similar outfits to the owl and crow. "I think whoever these guys are, clearly aren't from around here and more than likely took over Brighton," said Duckie.
Just then, everyone took out their weapons as Duckie and Tammy ran back into the alleyways. "I don't know where we are going, but as long as we can stay away from THOSE faces, that's all that matters," said Duckie. "I don't recognize any of them, so your probably right Duckie," said Tammy, "But can we talk about what they're wearing? Now that's cheap and basic if I've ever-"
They then hit a dead end, with there only being a door. "Darn it!" Tammy said. "We aren't doomed just yet," said Duckie as he tried opening the door. It wouldn't budge at all. "Well, I guess we can't go in there," said Duckie. "Well, I ain't going back there," said Tammy, "I mean, did you see how everyone reacted to us?"
Just then, a slot from the door opened up. "Who knocking on my door?!" yelled a voice, that sounded awfully familiar. Duckie and Tammy turned back to the door. "Oh hey," said Duckie, "Sorry for disturbing you, but we were-" "Duckie? Tammy?" asked the voice. "Johnny?" asked Tammy. It was indeed Johnny, when his eyes aimed towards Tammy and moved his eyebrows up and down. Tammy just gave him an annoyed look.
The door opened and Johnny's outfit looked like mostly armor as he had a blue stuffed bear on his chest and wore a very light green scarf or handkerchief of some kind. Johnny then saw Duckie and Tammy's one piece suits that were mostly blue with a little bit of yellow or gold. "I hope nobody saw you wearing those outfits," he said, "They don't take too kindly to those from the fallout shelters around Brighton." Once Duckie and Tammy were in, Johnny closed and locked the door.
"Can you expand further on your statement?" asked Duckie. "While you two were hiding after the blast, some of us didn't," Johnny explained, "After the blast, Brighton has been in ruins for the most part. But then this large group of people came in 4 days later and may have made civilization in Brighton better, but at a cost. You see, those who survived the blast were very quickly to fall under their rules, or else." "How did you survive then?" asked Tammy, "And does this explain why you aren't in the same outfits we are in?" "Me and my family did take shelter, but it was more of a scenario where we found one at the last minute," Johnny said, "How did these guys not get me or my family? Well, it's simple, I didn't take the shelters like you guys did. And the reason to why they hate the ones from the shelters, aside from their outfits, is because there is this weird theory that the government set up the bunkers and that they were labs to make anyone go rouge?"
Duckie and Tammy looked at each other, getting weird vibes off of it. "Uhh, well that's pretty freakin weird," said Duckie, "Not sure who came up with that, but I imagine they must've had a pretty weird imagination to come up with something of that nature." "Now that we have to hide here, what are we gonna do in the meantime?" "I'm glad you ask!" said Johnny, "Follow me."
The two followed Johnny into this room of the building. His mother Patricia was in there and so was his older brother, Max. There was 3 beds, lots of cans of food, and lazer guns. There was also a map on the table of Brighton. "Duckie and Tammy?" said Max in surprise, "Didn't expect to see you guys pop in. You've been good to Johnny, right?" "It's fine Max," said Johnny, "They're gonna help us." "Help you with what?" asked Tammy.
Patricia walked over to the map. "Here's the plan," she explained as her sons, as well as Duckie and Tammy came over, "Those people who are currently running Brighton are no good and may turn this town into a place of dictatorship. They already have been hostile to those who dared to come out of the fallout shelters. We are going to make sure we put an end to it and drive those crazy people out of here! So what we are gonna do is go to city hall in stealth, and once we take out the leader and his two second in commands, we'll get his remaining crew and slowly but surely, those in the shelters will come out and fight back against them!"
"Hmm," said Duckie, "Interesting choice of plan." "And how do we know they won't be expecting an attack?" asked Tammy, "How do we know that we are fully prepared for this?" "I don't know, but risks are going to have to be made, if we wanna keep Brighton from falling into the hands of some hostile strangers we've never seen before," replied Max. "No matter what, we'll come at them with all our power!" said Johnny, "We'll do it tonight when the sun goes down."
"Though I have to admit, not all of them are strangers," said Patricia. Duckie, Tammy, Johnny, and Max gave her confused looks. "What are you talking about?" asked Tammy. "Some of our own people turned to their side out of desperation," Patricia sighed, "I know none of their names, but I have seen them before."
