The next day, everyone was taken to a large hole in the ground that had been dug out in the middle of the forest.
"Oh boy, are we going to be buried alive?" asked Ennui.
"Ennui, are you okay, you have been showing signs of being very emotional lately which is unlike you," said Crimson.
"It's just a hope of our lifelong dream coming true," said Ennui.
"True, it would be amazing to know what it is like," said Crimson.
"No one is getting buried you weirdos," said Don.
"Aw," said Crimson and Ennui, making their teammates step away from the two of them.
"Soon this hole in the ground will be filled with a substance that two people from each team will have to swim relay style through for your next challenge," said Chris.
"What kind of substance?" asked Gwen.
"Canada's number one export, maple syrup!" said Don as Chef opened a channel which flowed syrup into the hole.
"Now then, who's going to swim?" asked Chris.
"I say we send Geoff and Bridgett, they're like seals in water so it shouldn't be any trouble for them in that gunk," said Duncan.
"Bridgette had to swim yesterday for the key, someone else needs to go," said Brody.
"I will," said Gwen.
"You sure?" asked a surprised Courtney.
"It was our idea to send her out yesterday, so I'm willing to do it for the team," said Gwen.
"That's my girl," said Courtney before kissing the goth.
"Alright, these two are starting to really gross me out," said Duncan, earning him a double kick to the crotch.
"Yep, should have seen that one coming," he said before falling to the ground. Meanwhile, the other team had already decided on who was going for them.
"We're all agreed that Brick and Mike go, right?" asked Cameron.
"Agreed," said the others. A few minutes later, Brick and Geoff were on one side of the syrup pool while Mike and Gwen on the other.
"Brick and Geoff, get ready," said Chris before shooting a starting gun. The two then jumped into the pool and tried to swim their way through the syrup.
"This is so weird," said Brick.
"Tell me about it, dude," said Geoff. The two then reached the others, tagging their partners at the same time.
"They're right, this is weird," said Gwen as she overtook Mike with ease.
"How can she be moving better than Mike, he has all of Svetlana's training!" said Cameron.
"Something's happening, I can't feel Svetlana's strength anymore," said Mike while struggling against the syrup.
"Gwen wins it for Team Chris!" said Chris as she reached the end of the pool.
"Oh, and we forgot to mention that tonight is a double elimination!" said Don, which worried Cameron and Mike.
