A couple of hours after entering the forest, DJ, Dawn, Geoff, and Bridgette's group were camped out in a small clearing.
"It sure is dark out there," said DJ.
"Wish we could light a fire," said Bridgette as Geoff hugged her so they both could stay a little bit warmer.
"But not only would that hurt the environment, it would give up our location to the enemy," said Dawn. Suddenly, they heard a twig snap from nearby in the darkness of the night.
"What was that?" asked DJ as he grabbed his paintball gun. The next thing he knew, he had been hit in the middle of the forehead with a green paintball.
"How did they hit him so precisely?!" asked Geoff as they laid all the way down for some cover.
"Chris said there was stuff for us to use out here, we just had to find them, turns out that included night vision goggles to help see in the dark," said Mal from the cover of darkness.
"I just had to fight off a raccoon to get them," he said.
"That's not fair, dude!" said Geoff. Next thing the three knew, they had been shot in their backs.
"That was easier than I thought it would be," said Mal as he came out into sight.
"Now to take some of your equipment," said Mal while grabbing some stuff from the four of them. He then went to walk away but stopped in his tracks.
"By the way, I never knew surfboards are so fragile, all it took was a little bit of pressure and pop, these came right off," said Mal as he dropped the fins of Bridgette and Geoff's boards in front of them.
"And pictures sure are flammable," he said before showing a picture of Bunny to DJ which he burnt.
"No!" said the three.
"You monster, how could you do this?!" asked Dawn.
"Oh it's really easy, and don't think I've forgotten about you Dawn, once everything is over this whole forest will go up," said Mal while lighting a leaf on fire which he dropped to the ground before stomping the flames out.
"You wouldn't," said Dawn who looked ready to cry.
"I would," said Mal. He then walked off into the darkness of the night while laughing at the misery of the four people he left behind.
