Years after that event, Gwen and Courtney were in a coffee shop.
"Can't believe it's been seven years since that night on the island already," said Gwen before taking a sip of her drink. She had been reading a news article about Chris being arrested for the death of a contestant on his new show.
"Yeah, and we haven't seen any of the others since then either, I've heard a few things but that's it," said Courtney.
"Well it looks like you spoke too soon," said Gwen as she noticed Mike and Zoey heading toward the door, which they were sitting next to.
"Hey Mike," said Courtney after the two had walked into the shop.
"Oh, hey Courtney, Gwen," said Mike who was nervous to see them and just stood there with Zoey.
"How have you been?" asked Gwen.
"Good, Mal hasn't made another appearance and Zoey does her best when the others do since they are back again," said Mike as he smiled at her.
"They're part of you and what makes you special, no matter how annoying they can be at times," said Zoey.
"Well if you ever find yourself in trouble because of them then give me a call," said Courtney as she handed him a business card for her law office.
"I should give this to Cody, he got arrested a few weeks back and still needs a lawyer for his case," said Mike.
"You're still in contact with the others?" asked Gwen.
"Yeah, I keep up to date with them every so often to see how they are doing and to let them know that Mal is still not around," said Mike.
"It's actually part of the help I was getting shortly after leaving the island," he said.
"Any clue at how Duncan is doing?" asked Courtney.
"We haven't heard anything about him since the surgery to fix his arms a couple of months after," she said.
"He's doing good too, he won the lawsuit against Chris and we're actually hanging out later today at his place," said Mike.
"After what happened he has really changed," he said. He and Zoey then sat down to continue talking with them about how everyone else is doing including themselves.
The End.
