6. Chapter 6 Outburst and Realizations

In the bustling atmosphere of the Konoha University cafeteria, Tenten spotted Neji sitting with his friends Naruto, Sasuke, Kiba, Lee, and Shikamaru. Fuelled by frustration, she approached him with a challenging look.

"You, Hyuga! What do you think you were doing last night? Who told you that you can just dupe me while I was sleeping?" Tenten's voice was sharp, catching the attention of Neji's friends.

Kiba couldn't resist making a playful comment, wolf-whistling and teasing, "I never pegged Neji to be a pervert, taking advantage of Tenten while she was asleep!" Laughter echoed through the group, causing Neji to shoot them a disapproving glare.

In response to Tenten's accusation, Neji calmly said, "A thank you would have been nice. And you didn't have to embarrass me like that."

Feeling slightly embarrassed herself now, Tenten clarified to Neji's friends that she was angry because he had intervened in her lab work. She then stormed out of the cafeteria, leaving Neji and his friends to wonder what had really transpired.

Neji's friends didn't waste the opportunity to tease him further. Naruto chuckled, "Looks like our genius Neji has a soft spot for cute, smart, and fiery girls, huh?" Kiba playfully added, "And girls with assets!"

Shikamaru, as always, found it troublesome. "The tension between them is such a drag," he muttered, suggesting they should talk it out.

Lee, ever the optimist, encouraged Neji, "You should definitely talk to Tenten, my friend!"

Sasuke, the cool and composed one, asked, "What really made Tenten angry, Neji?"

Pausing for a moment, Neji's mind raced back to the incident with Shion. He realized that Tenten must have misunderstood his intentions when she saw them talking. His voice softened as he admitted, "She was already angry with me even before that."

Meanwhile, outside the cafeteria, Tenten found herself still feeling a mix of emotions. She knew she might have overreacted but couldn't deny the hurt she felt when she saw Neji with Shion. As she leaned against a tree, trying to collect her thoughts, she didn't notice Neji approaching her.
