As the other leading members of Stigma sat back, sulking in a sea of nerves, Elizabeth moved towards her mother, the Supreme Deity.
"Mother," Elizabeth softly said. Her mother barely took one look at her before she decided to move away from her daughter, quite a rude gesture.
"No, don't "mother" me," replied the Supreme Deity, in front of her daughter, with a disdainful look on her face.
'Woah, that's cold,' thought Nerobasta, her eyebrows raised slightly, looking downwards. Mael even gasped from outside, but not loud, he'd rather not be hurt by the Supreme Deity.
Elizabeth's eyes began to express disbelief and confusion at her mother's response.
"Mot-"
"Did you not just hear me, hun?" the Supreme Deity paused then casually waved her hand as she said "Trust me, now is not the time for any of that crap. Don't try to get all emotional now, if you didn't care before, then don't pretend that you do now."
Elizabeth's mouth widened in awe at the fact that her mother was speaking to her in such a matter so casually.
"Mother can-"
"Uh, no! I don't even know why you bother anymore?! I don't care to hear an apology or any of that shit. You keep putting on this facade like you give a fuck about ANYTHING I may say to you when it's obvious with your actions you don't. WHY BOTHER TO PRETEND? Listen, if you want to run away or rebel go," replied the Supreme Deity angrily yet with underlying hurt in her voice.
Appalled, Elizabeth stepped back, nearly on the verge of crying.
"Go!" her mother replied while her voice began to break down.
"Mother! You want that?!" Elizabeth desperately asked, crying.
The Supreme Deity quickly took a deep breath and replied "lord-, Elizabeth! Just stop! Since when do you care about ANYTHING I WANT FOR YOU? HUH? Honey, that time passed ages ago, didn't it?"
"Supreme Deity!" Sariel interjected, perturbed.
"Sariel this doesn't concern you!" Elizabeth's mother warned
"Well, I'm standing right here and I can hear you speaking to your daughter so yes, it does!" he replied upset defensively.
"No-" Elizabeth attempted to interject.
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING TO?" the Supreme Deity hollered in response, moving towards him as to inflict some type of pain on him.
"Will the both of you quit it?!" Tarmiel interjected.
Surprisingly, the Supreme Deity only gave a death stare, yet said nothing, suggesting she was willing to listen to Tarmiel.
There was silence for a moment as Tarmiel did not know what else to say. It wasn't until Nerobasta quickly came over to the scene, trying to avoid any more chaos breaking out, said
"Your Highness, it is clear you are deeply emotional about something, and- I know it was probably concerning our decisions in the last battle, but, we've made some decisions previously that have had more severe consequences than this and-,"
She paused for a second as the Supreme Deity began to open her mouth then she quickly replied "-not saying you're not justified in your anger but perhaps we'd understand better if you were more... calm." Nerobasta stepped back as she was kind of scared to witness or even feel what the Supreme Deity would do next.
"Nerobasta, this is between my mother and me, stop trying to interject!" Elizabeth replied, practically yelling, with tears in her eyes.
Confused and slightly offended by Elizabeth's response, Nerobasta thought to say or do something in response as she felt disrespected and looked to her superiors as she thought she may be defended. But to her shock, everyone was silent. As she looked at Elizabeth with hostility as well as those around her, she just ended up biting her tongue, and backed away, laughing in disbelief.
"What are you laughing about, do you think this is a joke," Elizabeth asked, quite upset.
Nerobasta's eyebrows raised as she violently turned around to walk towards and reply to Elizabeth "The hell do you mean I think this is some type of joke! I'M THE ONE OVER HERE TRYING TO DEFEND YOU," she hollered back at Elizabeth.
"NO, YOU'RE NOT! MY MOTHER JUST TOLD ME TO GO CRAWL UP SOMEWHERE AND DIE AND ALL YOU CAN DO IS LAUGH?"
Nerobasta put one hand on her hip as the Supreme Deity interrupted.
"Wait, I did not tell you to crawl up somewhere and die, Elizabeth," the Supreme Deity, discountenanced.
"You're joking right now," Nerobasta frustrated, replied.
"Not at all-" Elizabeth replied although she was somewhat cut off by Nerobasta saying
"I'M LAUGHING BECAUSE I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW DAMN RUDE AND UNGRATEFUL YOU ARE."
"I BEG YOUR PARDON?" Elizabeth furiously replied.
"DID I STUTTER? Goodness, sometimes I can't believe you," Nerobasta continued.
"BELIEVE WHAT?"
"HOW BOLD YOU ARE IN YOUR REBELLION," Nerobasta replied.
"REBELLION? I DID NOTHING WRONG," Elizabeth complained.
"Oh really is that what you think?" the Supreme Deity replied.
"Yes! THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN TRYING TO EXPLAIN EVERYONE BUT NO ONE EVER TAKES THE TIME TO HEAR ME OUT, ESPECIALLY YOU, MOTHER," Elizabeth yelled.
Nerobasta began to cross her arms and just shook her head, quite pissed.
"Nerobasta," Ludociel said.
"What, what do you want!" she spat, not caring for a lecture from him.
He laughed sarcastically "I don't want anything from you, miss thing," Ludociel replied.
"He's lying," Sariel replied, trying to hint at something, nagging at Ludociel.
"You know what, I'm sick of you and your little snarky comments no one asked for-"
"And I'm sick of you!" Nerobasta yelled back at Ludociel.
"You skank, no one was talking to you," Ludociel bluntly stated.
"Well, I'm talking to you, you self-important cunt!" Nerobasta replied disgustedly.
Ludociel began to charge in Nerobasta's direction to appear intimidating.
"Hey, Hey!" Sariel said as he flew after Ludociel.
'Oh no' Tarmiel thought, following.
"What?" Nerobasta stated with her hands out as to fight someone. "I wish you would come over here and lay one of those dirty hands of yours on me!" Nerobasta yelled.
Ludociel found himself practically in front of Nerobasta, although Tarmiel was slightly in front holding him back.
"No, Sir Tarmiel, it's fine. If he lays a finger on me it will be his shame. So let him," Nerobasta stated, tempting Ludociel.
"Oh I see, so you'll address him as sir but not your direct superior," Ludociel stated moving slightly closer to her.
"Well, it's simple. I don't have as much respect for you as I do him, and you better back the hell away from me," she threatened.
"Or what, you'll do what," Ludociel replied mockingly.
"Alright you two!" the Supreme Deity exclaimed.
Nerobasta and Ludociel then backed away from each other.
She then continued, "And Ludociel, don't tempt her, women have the capability of making one's life a living hell as you all have made mine."
Ludociel began to open his mouth but he couldn't say something before the Supreme Deity began to speak.
"Now, Listen, bottom line you all are getting sloppy and you better get it together. I'm determined to win this war and should that not happen, I'll just say the higher your rank and responsibility are, the worse the punishment you will receive from me. Now, you all and everyone in your ranks are to train until midnight. Don't let me catch any of you slacking," the Goddess Race's leader stated, letting her threat hang.
