Everyone in the room was silent after the Supreme Deity's last comment but unfortunately, she was not done.

"What a pity, my own elite troops, some of you are truly such disappointments," she spat coldly.

"Sounds like you, Nerobasta," Ludociel rudely commented. "Ludociel, that was not necessary," Sariel sternly commented as everyone in the room gasped in reaction to Ludociel's comment. "And?" Ludociel uncaringly replied, turning his body towards Sariel. As Ludociel's head was turned, Nerobasta walked up to him and violently slapped him in the face. He was taken back, and the other two Archangels in the room thought it wise to move toward them to hopefully prevent any further conflict. Despite that, Nerobasta due to her rage and callous state at the moment, quickly grabbed him by his hair, pulled him down, and managed to grab one of her white heels and began to beat him with it and punch him a few solid times. He began to bleed and Tarmiel had to pull her away so Ludociel could get up.

Mael and Jelamet had been listening from outside and were practically flabbergasted. Jelamet had made her way to the area of the Supreme Deity's throne room due to Elizabeth's request after having completed what she offered to do for Nerobasta. The two eavesdropped outside and listened to the heated discussion their comrades had. Although the Supreme Deity did not permit it, Mael decided to barge into the room as he could tell things were getting fairly heated and Jelamet decided to follow. They walked into Ludociel on the floor, trying to heal the slight wounds on his face, and Nerobasta standing over him with coldness in her eyes. Putting the heel she pulled off back on, Nerobasta kicked him in the head, knocking Ludociel to the ground. "Nerobasta, that's enough!" Mael yelled while running to attend to his brother who was now just about unconscious as he was worried for his well-being. Annoyed by the presence of her creations and their quarreling, the Supreme Deity began to say "Oh god," in a sighing, quiet manner yet with aggravation before yelling "You fucking grunts, GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE, NOW!"

Sure enough, everyone headed for the exit, except Elizabeth. Nerobasta was closest and opened one of the doors first and without care for anyone behind her, slammed it. Sariel and Tarmiel happened to be behind her. Sariel, not expecting such asperity, looked back with widened eyes at Tarmiel before reaching for the doorknob and leaving commented "Good God, does she need an exorcism?"

"I don't know, it does seem like it though," Tarmiel replied, following him. Jelamet, stunned by what she just witnessed, chose to leave the palace for the day to go do what she heard the Supreme Deity desired. Furthermore, Mael managed to pick up his older brother so he could tend to him elsewhere. The door shut behind him, and Elizabeth and her mother were left alone.

"You just can't get enough, can you?" the Supreme Deity questioned, standing at a distance from her daughter.
"Mother you're wrong, I've had enough, and believe me, if I could run away, I would! But the Demon Race is after Meliodas and me so there is practically no place in existence for us to peacefully rest. And yes, you totally make that fact known and worse for me every time I'm around you or any member of our race," Elizabeth boldly stated miserably.

"Evidently," her mother replied, backing away, as she walked toward a tall and wide window in her vast throne room, looking out on the rest of the Celestial Realm visible from her view. Elizabeth's facial expression softened as she was trying to see what her mother was getting at.

"I suppose if everyone did what they desired, it would be chaos. But for the sake of the ones and things we care for, we all make sacrifices," the Supreme Deity continued.
"What are you saying, mother?" Elizabeth inquired, moving closer to her mother.
"Hell, do you think I started this war or that I wanted this conflict? The world might as well have been a paradise prior to this mess."
Elizabeth practically was next to her mother, yet slightly behind her, and stated "I don't know how to explain this, but, it's not my fault that I fell in love with someone you don't view as valuable".
"Oh no, I completely understand, you can't help it. There was someone I wanted to rule and spend eternity with but for the sake of my creations I had to give up," the Supreme Deity said in response to her daughter, looking her way.

"So why take it out on me, your own daughter, especially if you understand?!" Elizabeth yelled in response, crying.
The Supreme Deity sighed at the sight of her daughter and her last question. "I don't understand why he had to run away from the Demon Race with you. That initiated a major imbalance of power and instigated this war. His father is out for blood and I don't have a clue how to satiate his fury other than kill him," she replied calmly yet conflicted.
"Why not make a treaty with him?" Elizabeth earnestly questioned.
"Sweetheart, that does not fix the imbalance," she replied.
"But Mother, why are you acting as if you're scared of the Demon King? Aren't you two equal in power?"

The Supreme Deity looked down and away from her daughter, remaining silent as Elizabeth moved closer to her.
"Do the two of you have some sort of history? Did he abuse..." Elizabeth stepped back, realizing what her mother was communicating.
There was silence for a few moments before the Supreme Deity spoke once more.

"He and I were together at one time but he eventually began to take advantage of and manipulate me. I allowed him to abuse me and because of my stupidity I even have scars and bruises that even my own healing magic could not take care of instantaneously. Nevertheless, I withstood it as there were times he was very loving. I fell for his persuasion and even was foolish enough to through the abuse make love to him. Hence, he impregnated me. I ended up with twins and some time after having given birth to you and another one of his sons, we had a very violent encounter and I knew I had to get away. I could only grab you before I managed to get away from him and I don't know what happened to the other child I gave birth to. Thankfully, you didn't receive demonic powers from him but unfortunately, you and Meliodas are half-siblings. Which is why I didn't and still don't think it wise for you to be with him."

Elizabeth was aghast. She wanted to ask why she wasn't told sooner but couldn't. She then ran out of her mother's throne room, not knowing what to feel or what to do. She just wanted to get away. Away from this. Everyone wanted to. Everyone had it all wrong. Why should this be called "life" when what was mostly experienced felt the exact opposite of that word?
