Waller steps into a dark room with five cells all barely lit by a dim lamp. "Listen up you wastes of space, it's mission time!" Waller screams, waking up the five inmates.
"Aw come on Mandy, just give us five more minutes" Harley Quinn says snuggling up to her pillow. Waller walks up to her cell and grabs onto the bars, "THAT WASN'T A REQUEST QUINN!" she demands as the collar around Harley's neck begins to beep causing her to sit up quick.
"Good I see you're a little more cooperative now." Waller says with a smirk.
"Bloody hell Waller waking us up at this hour… wait what time is it?" Captain Boomerang asks groggily.
"TIME FOR YOU TO GET OFF YOUR ASSES, ROLE CALL EVERYONE!" Waller yells, pulling out a clipboard.
"Bronze Tiger?"
"Here" he answers, stepping out of bed.
"Captain Cold?"
"Yep" he says monotonously sitting up out of bed.
"Deadshot?"
"Yeah I'm awake, now can you tell us why the fuck we're being woken up and screamed at first thing?"
"So glad you asked, remember that initiative you were all brought in for? Well you finally have your first mission which is in Bludhaven. Bane and Killer Croc have been smuggling weapons, drugs and most importantly venom formula into Bludhaven in an effort to completely take over the city. It is gonna be your mission to stop them, destroy the weapons and drugs and secure the venom shipments. It will all be overseen by the man behind me Rick Flag. If anything happens to him your collars will be destroyed immediately and I will be finding a new band of lowlife scum. Any questions?"
"What if I refuse?" Bronze Tiger asks.
"Then I kill you here and now, like I said you're all lowlife scum, your lives aren't worth anything."
"Why are we securing this venom and not destroying it?" Captain Cold asks skeptically.
"That's classified Cold, now if we could finish our round of 20 questions then get your asses ready, you leave in 10."
"Oooooo a group mission, I am so excited! Aren't you guys excited?" Harley says with enthusiasm looking out of her cell towards the others.
"Come on, Boomerang, Tiger? Cold? Or what about you Floydy, don't you wanna spend more time with your favorite girl Harley!" Harley asks with a smile. Deadshot rolls his eyes and crosses his arms before turning around in his cell.
After 10 minutes pass the 5 of them are let out of their cells and loaded onto a helicopter.
"I wonder if I'll see Mr. J on this mission, I sure do miss him lots. All the wonderful things we did together." Harley says looking into the sky.
"Didn't he leave you for dead against Batman?" Captain Boomerang asked.
"He does have a point." Captain Cold says dryly.
"Mr. J would never do that, and besides-"
"Shut up back there, save your strength for the fighting instead of the talking." Rick Flag calls to them.
"Dammit, they're just using us for their own gain, we shouldn't be helping these assholes!" Bronze Tiger says frustrated.
"Well it's either that or we die, and I don't know about y'all but I got a little girl I gotta get back home to." Deadshot says.
"We're at the LZ, everyone brace yourselves for the landing" Flag calls back to them.
The helicopter lands and they make their way onto the rooftop. "Alright so here's the plan, Bane's been working out of the St. Eustace Church. The ground team consisting of Cold, Boomerang and Tiger will infiltrate the church, take out whatever security they have stationed there and destroy all the weapons and drugs stored in there whilst leaving the titan formula intact."
"You got it" Boomerang says as Cold nods to Flag and Tiger crosses his arms and groans.
"Deadshot you cover them and make sure they're clear on the way in and make sure no one else follows them in."
"You got it" he says, giving Flag a nod.
"What about me Ricky? Surely a woman with talents like mine could be plenty of use." Harley says, giving Flag a little wink.
"You're sticking with me Quinn, you're too loud and obnoxious. You go in with the ground team and you'll give them away immediately."
Harley pouts, "this is no fair!"
The teams get themselves into position. Deadshot overlooks the church as Boomerang, Tiger and Cold position themselves in the alley across from the church. Rick Flag and Harley wait behind at the helicopter ready to move in for evac whenever the other teams are done.
"How's it looking Deadshot?" Flag asks through the comes.
"I'm not seeing any movement inside or around the church." he says confused.
"Good, then maybe this'll be easy." Boomerang says with confidence in his voice.
"Don't get cocky Boomerang, I have a bad feeling about this." Cold says as the three of them approach the church.
"I knew I smelled something was off" Harley and Flag hear a voice call from behind them.
"OH SHIT!" Rick Flag yells as Croc grabs their helicopter and launches it at them. Harley grabs Flag and jumps off the roof with both of them landing in a dumpster.
"Thanks Quinn, I guess you were useful for something." Flag says crawling out of the dumpster with Quinn shooting him a dirty look, "you owe me one, and you can start by-"
"LOOK OUT!" he yells tackling Harley to the ground as a car is launched at the two.
"Looks like we're even," Flag says slyly.
"Deadshot if you're available we need back up right now, Killer Croc is on us."
"I don't know if that's a good idea, someone just-"
"NOW'S NOT THE TIME, GET BACK OVER HERE NOW!" Flag cuts off Deadshot before going radio silent.
"I'm gonna rip the flesh from your bones" Croc says, holding Flag in his hand. A gunshot to the back interrupts Croc as Harley keeps firing her pistol at him. "That;s right you big scaly freak, and there's plenty more where that came from!" Harley yells to Croc. Croc lifts up his other hands blocking the bullets and then throws Flag at Harley sending them both tumbling over onto the ground.
"Maybe I'll start with you then!" Killer Croc says lifting Harley off the ground. He opens his mouth to bite her head off.
"Please don't, your breath smells really bad and clowns don't taste good!" Harley pleads trying to hold herself out of his mouth. Another gunshot hits the back of Croc's head this time causing him to drop to his knees and release Harley.
"Gotcha you son of a bitch" Deadshot says reloading his rifle. Harley pulls out her baseball bat and begins wailing on Croc's face with it. On instinct alone Croc grabs Harley and throws her into the brick wall beside them. Deadshot jumps down from the roof he's on and stabs Croc in the back with a knife. Croc grabs him and throws him forward but he lands on his feet. He runs towards Croc and slides under him slashing the back of his legs with a knife before shooting him with his wrist cannons. He is once again slapped away by Croc who stands over him and puts his foot on him slowly crushing his torso.
"You tried you foolish human, now I am going to eat you alive."
Rick Flag grabs out a small chip and throws it onto Killer Croc which shocks him unconscious. Deadshot stands back over him and loads his rifle before aiming it at his head, "nighty night you creepy motherfucker."
"WAIT!" Flag yells stopping Deadshot from shooting him in the head. He walks over to Killer Croc's body and straps an explosive collar onto Croc. "He could be a useful asset in the future, let's not kill him quite yet."
At the Church
"Alright I got the crates of weapons over here, how are you doing over there?" Captain Cold calls Boomerang.
"Alright mate, just finished up destroying these drugs, now we wait for Tiger to locate the Venom."
"I've already found it, it's just upstairs" Bronze Tiger calls, throwing the crates of Venom down to the floor below.
"Good shit, now we can get out of here easy as hell." Captain Boomerang calls.
"Oh no, I know it wouldn't be that easy" Captain Cold says.
"What the hell are you on about?" Bronze Tiger asks.
"He's here." Captain Cold says before the door explodes in his face sending him flying back.
"Well well, more fools who have come to die." Bane says, cracking his knuckles. A few of Bane's henchmen pile into the door behind him.
"Shit wasn't Deadshot supposed to warn us of this?" Boomerang asks getting prepared to fight.
"Flag called him away, looks like we are all on our own Bronze Tiger says transforming into a tiger. He rushes towards Bane as Boomerang throws a boomerang taking out Bane's henchmen. Bronze Tiger throws a punch at Bane but it is caught and his hand is promptly crushed. Bronze Tiger lets out a scream before being grabbed by the face and slammed multiple times into the floor of the church. Bane holds up his bloody body and throws him outside where he lays barely moving on the street. Bane looks around to see his weapons and drugs stache's completely destroyed.
"Ah so not only did you break in, but you destroyed all my stuff. Guess I'll kill the two of you left slowly."
Bronze Tiger slowly gets back to his feet, blood trickling down his face.
"Get back in there and fight Tiger." Waller demands in his ear.
"No, I'm not gonna be your pawn anymore." Tiger says with a shake in his voice before running away from the church.
"Last chance, turn back and fight NOW!" Waller demands once again which is refused again by Tiger.
"Okay then, you leave me no choice." She says before flipping a switch. His collar instantly explodes causing his head to burst and his body to lifelessly fall over.
Bane runs towards Captain Boomerang who throws a Boomerang at Bane which completely misses. Bane picks him up and begins laughing, "pitiful, I expected more from you Boomerang." he says mockingly before squeezing him.
"You….sure…"
"What's that?" Bane asks mockingly, releasing some of the tension on his grip.
"You sure I missed?" Captain Boomerang says as the boomerang comes back and slices off one of his venom tubes. Bane drops Boomerang and tries to grab at the loose venom tube.
"QUICK COLD!" Boomerang yells at Captain cold who freezes Bane's other venom tube stopping the venom from entering his body at all, weakening him.
"Nice try fools, but you still failed" Bane says pulling out a venom shot that he injects into his neck and causes him to grow much bigger.
"Holy shit" Captain Boomerang mutters, staring at the much bigger adversary in awe.
Bane roars at Boomerang and Cold but is hit in the head with 3 explosives.
"Let's get out of here!" Captain Cold yells, grabbing a crate of venom. Boomerang does the same as Bane is kept occupied. Outside the church they are met by Rick Flag, Harley and Deadshot who have an unconscious Killer Croc in tow.
"I see you've completed your task, but not without at least one casualty." Rick Flag says standing over Bronze Tiger's body. "We have an evac chopper on the way, but with Bane still alive he might now allow us to-"
"He's not still alive, I just took care of him." a voice calls from the church. A man in a Red Hood with a red mask over his face exits the church.
"Who the hell are you? I've never heard of anyone like you at Bludhaven." Rick Flag says.
"Oh I remember you, you're that little boy me and Mr. J tried to kill." Harley says with a laugh.
"Harley Quinn, I see Batman was too soft to kill you, but I'll make sure you don't leave Bludhaven alive." he says holding a pistol up to her.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you!" Rick Flag says raising his pistol. Deadshot raises his rifle, Cold raises his ice gun and Boomerang pulls out a boomerang.
"Aww you guys are seriously sticking up for little ole me?" Harley says.
"Flag stand down, that's the Red Hood. He's said to have skills that rival that of Batman's and just a few months ago he was able to take down Roman Sionis' entire drug trade." Waller says over the headset.
"Everyone stand down" Flag says standing in front of Harley. "We want no trouble, we just wanted to take down Bane, we were just about to leave."
"I best not ever see you here again, this is my city now. Next time your little squad shows up I'll show no mercy." Red Hood says before throwing down a smoke bomb and disappearing.
The helicopter arrives a few minutes later and evacuates them from the city. They arrive back at headquarters and are debriefed by Waller.
"Congratulations on a successful mission everyone." Waller says. "We unfortunately lost Bronze Tiger, but that's a small price to pay for everything else we accomplished today."
"Does this mean we get to go free?" Deadshot asks.
"Not quite yet"
"Hey this is bullshit after all we did!" Captain Cold says quickly cutting her off.
"Let me finish next time, asshole. I will be granting you guys a month of parol where you will be escorted around with a member of my task force. Feel free to meet with family or whatever you do. However, if the member of my task force with you dies or you step too far out of line."
"Boom we die, we get it LET US CELEBRATE!" Harley says trying to rally everyone successfully.
"Idiots," Waller says facepalming as she enters the next room.
"So Waller, what exactly did we need the venom formula for?" Rick Flag asks, following her into the next room. A man lays strapped to a table with scientists surrounding him.
'This man is Dr. Kirk Langstrom, he's a bad man who turned himself into a bat and accidentally killed his wife and child. Batman caught him 2 years ago and branded him. However instead of letting him die in prison I decided to run experiments on him, and this venom will help further our research."
"What exactly are we researching?" Rick Flag asks with unease in his voice.
"I'm going to make my own super soldier army, and then we will be an unstoppable force!" Waller says maniacally, causing severe doubt and unease to enter Rick Flag's mind.
"Now come on Flag, we still have a lot of work to do."
