Chapter 8
Brooke went through the hospital doors. And searched for Lucas.
But she didn't find him. Instead she found Haley. Nathan. Mouth. Skills. And Larry Sawyer.
(How are Peyton and the baby?) Brooke asked. To all of them.
They had no answers to give. Lucas went with Peyton through the emergency doors and hadn't been seen or heard since. That was hours ago.
Brooke went to the reception desk and asked for Peyton Sawyer.
All she was told was that Lucas Scott and Peyton Sawyer. Were in labor and delivery.
Brooke wanted him burst through the doors and find them.
But instead it was Lucas who found her.
Lucas expression on his face raw and emotional.
Brooke ran over to him. (What happened?)
(I'm a dad. We have a son.) Lucas announced.
Brooke smiled happily. Engulfing him into a hug.
He made it clear that everyone would meet the newest member of the family. But first he wanted Brooke to meet him.
Brooke followed Lucas as they made their way to Peyton 's hospital room.
Brooke followed Lucas as they entered the room together.
Peyton looked beautiful and tired but she was glowing as new moms did.
(Daddy 's here Sawyer.) Peyton said.
(I wanted Brooke to meet him.) Lucas explained.
The two hadn't heard or seen each other in weeks.
(Meet Sawyer Keith Scott.) Peyton said.
Brooke eyes welled with tears as she held him in her arms.
He had curly blond hair. Blue eyes. And Lucas 's squint.
(He's perfect. Nice to meet you Sawyer. I'm aunt Brooke.)
(I love you just as much as you're mom and dad.)
(I'm going to spoil you and we're going to have sleepovers. And you are going the most important boy in our world.) Brooke proclaimed.
Peyton scowled at glared at Lucas.
(We need some family time alone.) Peyton announced.
Brooke felt like she was intruding. Lucas thanked her for coming.
Peyton was furious. As they hugged goodbye in the entryway before she left.
(Peyton isn't in the mood for more visitors until they get home.) Brooke announced in the waiting room.
