The Last Element
It didn't take long for Link, Yugi, Joey, and Kaiba to start coming around. They all started to regain consciousness after resting for about an hour. Yugi was the first to come to. He looked and realized that he was lying in a bed and Emily was at his bedside.
"Yugi, you're awake," she said happily. "How do you feel?"
He still felt a little groggy, and he was also trying to remember what happened before he passed out. "Where are we?"
"Inside the Palace of Winds," the blonde girl answered.
Joey sat up in his bed and rubbed his eyes. "What happened? Last I remember, we were in the sky battling a monster."
Max nodded. "And we beat it. Then after the fight, you guys began to lose consciousness. Then the Wind Tribe came to help us and they brought us inside the Palace of Winds."
After getting their bearings, the boys looked and saw the people of the Wind Tribe surrounding them. "Good to see that you're all awake," the elder said happily. "The air up here is too think for people from the ground, but we've adjusted to it."
"Then you must be the Wind Tribe," said Link.
"Indeed, we are," a woman said. "Though when that fellow Vaati came and stopped the wind, we were in trouble. But thanks to you, the wind blows again."
"And since you were able to find us, I'm guessing you met King Gustaf," the elder presumed.
In response, Emily shows them the gold Kinstone piece. "It's amazing that even as a spirit, he continues to protect the peace of Hyrule."
"Yes, King Gustaf was a great king," the elder said proudly.
"Excuse me," Kaiba interrupted, "but for Vaati to have come here, that can only mean that he thought that you and your people had the Light Force."
"Yet another mistake on Vaati's part," said Max.
"You are correct," the elder said to Max. She explained the story, saying that a long time ago, King Gustaf used the power of the Light Force to produce plentiful harvests and cure diseases, bringing peace and prosperity to Hyrule. The Wind Tribe helped the king by sharing their knowledge on what kinds of crops to grow and when the best times of harvesting were. And the golden Kinstone pieces symbolized the king's friendship with the Wind Tribe.
But one day, a royal aide betrayed the royal family and assassinated King Gustaf, wanting to seize the Light Force and use it for his own selfish desires. With his dying breath, the King asked the Wind Tribe to ensure that the Light Force would never fall into the wrong hands. Then man who betrayed the royal family gathered his forces, but the Palace of Winds and the Wind Tribe were already gone; up in the sky, where they would stay forever.
As fascinating as the story was, it led back to the same question: Where was the Light Force? The answer to that was about to be revealed. The Wind Tribe elder informed the heroes of a place called the Elemental Sanctuary. To find the Elemental Sanctuary, the heroes had to acquire all four Element Crystals. And now they would, for the elder was bestowing upon them the Wind Element.
Now that the heroes had all four Elements, they could return to Mt. Crenel and consult with Master Melari about restoring the Picori Blade. No longer feeling weary, Yugi and his friends unfold their wings and being flying back to Mt. Crenel while carrying Link and Ezlo.
