Days Later

Brooke carefully got out of bed. Slipping his shirt on her small frame.

She as much as she loved take out and ordering in. She found herself with the urge and curiosity to learn how to cook and bake.

When her parents heard about her relationship with Clay they reached out to to repair the damage and start fresh.

Which to Brooke 's surprise. She was open too. And these past couple of years she had her parents back in a real way. And she found herself really enjoying that.

Brooke went into the shower. Got dressed. Then went downstairs to make breakfast.

While she waited for him to wake up. Brooke went to her office.

And scanned her desk for the copy of Lucas 's newest novel.

She carefully skimmed the pages.

When she bought it she read it right away. The story was fiction.

But the situation had been what her and Lucas went through.

The stuff no one in their friend group knew about.

...

(I just wanted to check in with you. And make sure it's okay that Brooke is not only going to the wedding but apart of it. Like you being one of my groomsmen.) Mouth brought up.

Lucas looked back at one of his oldest and closest friends.

(That day will be about you and Rachel. Nothing else.) Lucas replied.

...

(You aren't supposed to upstage the bride at the wedding.) Clay said.

Brooke smiled as she kissed him.

Clay seated her on his lap.

(You haven't even seen me in the dress yet.) Brooke said. When they pulled apart.

(You are perfect. You look beautiful in everything and nothing.) Clay stated matter of fact

Brooke felt herself blush. (Clay. What am I going to do with you.) Brooke replied.

(Let give you the world and we'll figure it out from there.) Clay replied.

The expression on Brooke's face softened.

She loved him he was everything she was supposed to want.

...

Later on that night

(What's going on with you? We haven't had sex in months.) Peyton questioned.

Gazing over at Lucas.

(We have so much going on. Our sons. Our work.) Lucas replied.

(Let's go on a trip somewhere. Leave the kids with you're mom.)

(And let us have some time to reconnect. I miss you.) Peyton Admitted.

(I'm right here what is there to miss. My mom has the cafe to run. She can't just have the boys whenever we want.) Lucas replied.

(It's not like she has much of a life outside of there.) Peyton said.

(You spend more time at Red Bedroom then at home here.)

(I have a job but make this family a priority.) Lucas replied.

(Oh honey. You're a one hit wonder. I read that new book of yours.)

(I bought this house. You want praise for doing the bare minimum.)

(You wanted two Scott boys I gave you that.) Peyton stated matter of fact.

(What if I want more. Then whatever this is?) Lucas asked.

(You want me to leave me. I wouldn't try that.)

(You're career. The boys. This is my family I refuse to let you're feeling of never living up to Keith or the man you want to be. Get in the way.) Peyton proclaimed.

(Now stop talking and take you're clothes off.) Peyton said.
