The early morning sun filtered through the sheer curtains, bringing warmth to Emma's cheeks. Her eyes fluttered open as she yawned, stretching her arm out in search of Killian. The mattress was cool to the touch. Puzzled by the emptiness, Emma propped herself up on her elbow to look around the bedroom of their villa, and Killian was nowhere to be found. Emma pulled back the comforter and got out of bed, pulling her robe tight around her waist as she went in search of her pirate.

Emma searched the entire villa for him but still had not stumbled upon him. When she was about to give up and return to bed, she noticed the side door propped open. She laughed and walked over, looking out at the beautiful view of the beach, and spotted him. Emma looked down at her robe and opted to change before joining him on the beach, so she ran back to their bedroom and slipped in a pair of shorts and a tank top before making her way outside.

"Missing your days at sea?"

The sound of her voice startled him. Killian turned to see his beautiful wife crossing the sand toward him, and he smiled. The sunshine illuminated her skin as she walked, making her look so at peace, something he didn't see very often in Storybrooke. As she approached, he opened his arms to embrace her and kissed the top of her head as she wrapped her arms around his waist.

"Aye, more so, just missed watching the sunrise on the horizon," Killian replied, resting his chin on the top of her head. "It's a little difficult to see in Storybrooke, and I wasn't expecting you to be awake so early."

"I wasn't planning on it, but when I rolled over, you weren't there, so I got up to find where you went," Emma replied, snuggling close to his chest. She took a deep breath, inhaling his cologne mixing with the ocean air. "What do you want to do today?"

"We could go explore the rock formations at Kolymbithres Beach and then head into town for some lunch and a little shopping," Killian suggested, tilting his head back a bit to warm his face with the sun. "Then come back here to drop off anything we buy before heading out to Piso Livadi."

Emma pulled back to look up at him, cocking her brow. "What's in Piso Livadi?"

"Erm," Killian said, pulling back from her a moment. He nervously carded a hand through his hair as he offered a half smile. "It's a small fishing port and harbor, and there's swimming and taverns, and…."

"And you can rent boats to take out to sea?" Emma asked, chuckling softly. She crossed her arms over her chest and thought about his idea for a moment. "I suppose that sounds like a good way to spend the day, as long as you buy me a snow cone to eat aboard your ship."

"A snow cone?" Killian asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Shaved ice with flavored syrup all over it; usually, it's striped," Emma replied, laughing at the confused look on Killian's face. "You've never had it before?"

"Love, why would someone be willing to eat ice? All ice is good for is watering down rum which is never any good," Killian said, grimacing with a shake of his head.

"So, we have to add that to the list too," Emma said, taking his hand. "Let's return to the villa and prepare for the day."

Killian squeezed her hand as she led them back to the villa. He watched as she sorted through their luggage, laying out an outfit for the day and an array of other items he had learned the names of but couldn't think of at the moment. Then she made her way to the en suite, and he heard the shower turn on.

"Are you coming?" her voice echoed through the room.

Killian jumped up from the chair he was sitting in and made quick work of his shirt before crossing into the en suite, where he was met with a wall of steam. He noticed Emma about to step into the shower. Unfastening his pants, Killian slipped out of them as he crossed the space between them and wrapped his arms around her waist, eliciting a giggle as the water cascaded around them.

. . . . . . . . .

After a few hours and several rock formations climbed, Emma and Killian settled down to take in the sights of Kolymbithres while soaking in the sun. The sounds of other tourists enjoying the beach echoed around them, interspersed with the waves crashing against the rocks.

"How did you know so much about Kolymbithres and things to do here?" Emma asked, propping herself up on her elbow to turn and block the sun from her face as she looked up at Killian. "Adventures of another life outside the Enchanted Forest that I didn't know about?"

Killian laughed, shaking his head. "No, I did a little research before we left."

Emma cocked her brow and tilted her head in concern. "You used the computer at the station by choice? I thought you hated modern technology."

"I do, but it has its uses sometimes," he said with a shrug.

Emma looked at him for a few moments taking note of his carefree attitude when usually the computer at the station infuriates him. She moved, sitting next to him and resting her head on his shoulder, taking a few deep breaths. "Henry helped you, didn't he?"

Killian pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "If I told you, I'd give away all of my secrets."

"Fine," Emma sighed, rolling her eyes as she lifted her head from his shoulders and pressed a kiss to his lips. "What time do you have a ship reserved?"

"In time for sunset," he replied, reaching up to tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ear and brushing his thumb against her cheek. "Did you have something in mind?"

Emma leaned in, brushing her lips against his ear as she spoke. "I was thinking we could sail out to sea and enjoy a little extra peace," she whispered, pressing a kiss to his ear.

A wicked grin pulled at Killian's lips as he pushed himself up from the rock and offered her a hand, pulling her to his chest. He captured her lips with his own in a passionate kiss as his hook found purchase against the small of her back. "Let's go get ourselves a ship," he whispered against her lips, kissing her once more before grabbing her hand.

. . . . . . . . .

"I can't believe we paid money for this," Killian said, shaking his head as he lifted his spoon full of snow cone to his mouth. "It's just ice."

"Flavored ice," Emma corrected cheerfully as she slipped her spoon into her mouth and kicked her feet back and forth like a small child. Her eyes went wide as she noticed the size of Killian's next bite. "Be careful-"

Killian let out a growl, dropping his spoon as he reached for his head. "What the bloody hell? Why does my head hurt?"

"Brain freeze," Emma replied, offering a smile. "It will fade soon."

She reached over, placing a gentle hand on the back of his neck, and rubbed a few small circles against his skin. "Try putting your tongue to the roof of your mouth, which usually helps. At least a little."

Killian looked at her out of the corner of his eye with an eyebrow raised but didn't say anything. He followed her advice and held his tongue to the roof of his mouth until the pain subsided. He reached up to massage his jaw as he turned to face Emma. She had a brilliant smile beaming from her face, and the setting sun behind her added a glow around her.

He leaned forward and pressed a cautious kiss to her lips, only to pull away enough to rest his forehead against hers. "Can I tell you a secret, Emma?"

"Of course, you can," Emma replied, furrowing her brow as she studied his face. "You know you can tell me anything."

Killian smiled, reaching up to cup her cheek once again, brushing his thumb along her cheek. "I love you, Emma Swan, more than I have ever loved anyone. I know it hasn't been easy for you to open up and let me love you, but I am grateful you did."

"I love you too, Killian," Emma said, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. "I don't think that really counts as a secret."

"Aye, maybe not," Killian replied with a shrug, "but I'm happy to have this stolen secret hideaway aboard this ship with you."
