Hey there, so I got a new Chapter for you so I hope you enjoy it! Have fun!

Chapter 2

The great hall was slowly filling with vikings since their chief called a meeting. When everybody filled in the doors were closed with a loud bang. Around a circular fire place stood Stoick, looking over a map.

"Either we finish them, or they'll finish us! it's the only way we'll be rid of them! If we find the nest and destroy it, the dragons will leave. They'll find another home!" Stoicks says and plunges a knife in the map. "One more search before the ice sets in." he declares. One viking points out "Those ships never come back.". Stoicks only response was "We're Vikings. It's an occupational hazard. Now whos with me?!" All surrounding vikings mumble excuses to not go on this journey because all of them now how dangerous it is.

The Chief straightens up and answers "All right. Those who stay will look after Hiccup and clean up his messes." Instantly all hands rose up voicing there agreement to go with him.

"You're really gonna use your son like that?" asks Gobber a bit angrily after the villagers left. "At least then he will be usefull for once. What else am I supposed to do with him?" Stoick replies frustrated.

"Put him in Dragon training. maybe he'll learn a thing or two."

"He'll be killed before you even let the dragon out. or will endanger the live of the other recruits."

"You don't know that."

"Yes I do. He can't do anything right. You know he always was like this and I doubt that will change anytime soon."

"You always look at his mistakes but you never even try to help him get better!"

"It just seem's so hopeless..."

"You won't always be around to prtect him Stoick. He's probably out there again. Look, just let him try."

"But what if it doesn't get better? The village already asks for his banishment! If they see that he can't fight dragons they want him gone. But maybe thats better for the tribe..."

"You can't seriously think about banishing him, can you?! Just let me try, please?"

"Fine you can try but if he doesn't manage to do good I think it's best if he goes."

With that Stoick stood and left an angry Gobber behind. 'If you do that Stoick, it will be your biggest mistake.' Gobber made his way home to get some sleep so he can start training the recruits in the morning.

(With Hiccup)

Hiccup wanders through the forest lost to his own thoughts 'Why does everybody hate me? I never did anything wrong to them. Is it to much to ask for to be treated like a person?' While lost in thoughts he gets smacked in the face by a tree branch. "OW!" As he looks at the tree he notices that it is split down about 2 meters above the ground and has fallen over. Lokking over to the fallen tree, he notices a deep trench going downhill like something big crashed there.

Deciding to investigate he goes down the hill and looks looks over a smaller hill infront of him he jumps back down after seeing a dragon laying there. Slowly lokking over it again he notices that it's not moving so he pulls out his knife (Best weapon of choice in this scenario, right?) and tumbles down the hill behind a boulder. Creeping around it he sees that the Nightfury is trapped in a bola. HIS bola! "Oh I did it.. I did it! YES! I have brought down this mighty beast!" Hiccup declares putting a foot on the dragons leg.

As the dragon shifts he stumbles back and holds up his knife. Overlooking the dragon he sees that it was looking at him with hate, anger, sorrow and most importantly, fear. Trying to steel himself Hiccup looks away and starts talking to himself.

"I'm gonna... I'm gonna cut out your heart and take it to my father. I'm a Viking. I'm a VIKING!" lifting up the knife he starts breathing heavily. Taking one last look at the dragon he sees something he knows all to well. Loneliness. 'Is the dragon just as lonely as I am? Is he not respected for his power?' Closing his eyes he trys to put these thoughts away but they just keep coming.

The Nightfury closes his eyes and drops his head with defeat and acceptance. 'No way out of this. That's how I'm going to die. At least I won't have to be lonely and can join my family.' the dragon thought.

Hearing the dragon droping its head was the last straw for Hiccup. He lowers the knife and looks at him with saddness, regret and guilt. "I did this.." Looking at the bola he comes to a decision. 'I must be suicidal. We'll maybe I'am, it's not like I never thought about it. Here goes nothing.' with his mind made up he starts cutting through the ropes.

The Nightfury snaps his eyes open as he hears ropes being cut and the tightness around him fade. With the last rope cut he jumps on the boy and pins him down against the boulder with his front paw. Looking in the eyes of the child he can see the same loneliness he feels and the fear he just had mere secons ago. When he saw that the boy accepted his faith something inside him told him to not kill the viking. so he decides to leave the child a warning by giving him a ear deafning roar before flying of. Or well, at least try to fly off until he falls down into a cove.

Recovering from his shock Hiccup stand up and looks after the Nightfury just after it sparred his life. Picking up his knife he turns around and begins the walk back home. But he faints after five steps and hits the ground with a small 'thumb'.

(At Stoicks House)

Walking in through the front door, Hiccup looks up and sees his father sitting in a chair at the fireplace stoking a bit into the fire. Deciding not to confront his father he tries to sneak upstairs without getting noticed. Unfortunately his father hears him. "Hiccup" said person stops and goes back down to stand infront of his father while avoiding eye contact.

"Son, I think that it's time you prove your worth for the tribe. You will join dragon training tomorrow morning and will train and fight dragons. No more of your inventions. And if Gobber gives you an order you will follow it, alright? I'm sick of running around cleaning up your mess. This is your final chance to show that you deserve to be on Berk." Stoick told his son with a commanding voice that left no room for arguments.

Hiccup looks slowly up at his father. "What do you mean final chance, dad? Am I gonna be put in the forge forever if I am not good enough?" he asks in a sad tone. Stoick looks at him sternly and says "What I mean is, that if you do not good enough the village will command your banishment reasoning that it will be better without you. And with how things look I slowly start to think they are right.". Hiccup shocked looks at him "But dad..." but Stoicks cuts him off "No, son! This is your last chance so you better don't dissapoint. I will be back." Not waiting for an answer the chief turns and leaves the house leaving a shocked and broken boy behind.

Walking up to his bedroom, Hiccup thinks about what he's just been told. Lying in his bed he thinks 'They can't banish me just because I can't, no , won't fight dragons, can they? I need to talk to Gobber maybe he can help me prepare for banishment because we all know that I won't be good in training.'

Turning around he goes to sleep but with his last thoughts being on a certain Nifghtury in the woods wondering if it would be still there tomorrow since it appeared to be injured. Maybe he will check it out after training.

So, there you go my next chapter. Hope you liked it! I don't know when the next chapter will come maybe tomorrow or not depends how my mood is. With that said, till we meet again!
