The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)

They have been on Planet Kut'y'ae now for days.

During this time, she was still hoping not to run into any of her captors and at one point hoped they have left. But Than-guan and her came upon a heard of what he called suty'ae.

And to say it looked like someone took them and put them in a blender was an understatement. They were all slaughtered.

That's when they knew that the bad bloods were still definitely around this area. Because no honorable warrior slaughters whole groups of animals like this that consisted of females and young.

Kayla thought at one point she was going to throw up at the sight. Blood, guts and entrails littered the ground, completely saturated by the animals' strange orange colored blood.

The more she talked with Than-guan about the bad bloods, particularly the leader, the more she thought that maybe her hunter had a personal vendetta against him.

And the young woman was curious to know why that is.

They were currently walking along a wooded path, pretty close to a cliff that dropped off into a river below. When she decided to start asking him more about the bad blood leader.

"Hey, Midnight? I have a question. If it's too personal, you don't have to answer. But it's just something that's kind of been on my mind." She says.

"Nope, for the last time, I didn't put those tiny furry creatures in your shoes. They made their way in there on their own and fell asleep in them." He somewhat teased.

The other morning, Kayla woke up and went to go put her slip-on sneakers on. Only to get a lovely surprised when she saw to tiny furry heads pop out of the shoes opening and stare at her.

It was hard for him not to laugh at her when she let out a yelp and threw the sneaker.

The two furry creatures that looked like large mice but with bushy tails like squirrels let out little squeaky sounds as they darted out from the sneakers' openings and into the brush.

Then she turned and glared at the dark navy colored yautja who was hunched over with his hands over his abdomen, laughing his ass off.

Kayla was quick to accuse him of putting those furry little rodents in her sneakers. But he swore to her that he didn't and that at some point during the night while she slept, they must've scurried into them for shelter and a place to sleep.

Though she felt like she didn't believe him and called him out on bullshit. Because why else would he have been laughing so hard?

After that, she never slept with her sneakers off again. And he teased her for the rest of the day after it happened. Commenting he never seen someone so small jump that high in the air.

It's only when she threatened to tie his tresses in knots, did he finally shut up.

His response to make her chuckle a little though. Apparently, he still thought she found him to be guilty of putting them in her shoes. Despite the fact it was the truth, he didn't put them in there.

Still, he didn't tell her that he saw the little furry rodents at some point in the middle of the night scurry into them. He was curious to see her reaction to them the next morning when she tried putting her shoes back on.

And her reaction didn't disappoint. He can't recall the last time he laughed that hard. It had definitely been a long time though.

"No, it's not that. Though I still think your guilty of it. Even as you denied it. It has something to do with you and this bad blood leader. Did you...know him? The way you speak about him sometimes, it almost sounds like he did something to you. So, did he?" She asks.

Than-guan tensed up a bit. He wasn't expecting this kind of question. And was a bit guarded with it.

"I do not wish to talk about this, Kayla. It's too personal." He told her.

"Sorry." She said.

His gaze swept to her.

"He's very bad. That's all you need to know. And once he's gone from this life, the better off everyone is. If I can stop him here and now, everyone else will be safe." The hunter stated.

"But you said it yourself. This world is huge. Plenty of places for him to hide. We're unsure if we're even on the right track with finding him." Kayla said.

"I don't believe we are far off. The heard he and his comrades slaughtered not that long ago has given us an idea that he's somewhere around this general area." Than-guan surmised.

He just hopes he can get Kayla somewhere safe before he engages Lar'nix'va and his group.

The young woman opened her mouth to say something. But let out a startled yelp as she was forced to the ground and a tree right next to them exploded into pieces.

Than-guan felt his skin prickle and knew someone was nearby then he heard the distinct sound of a plasma cannon being fired. It was headed right for them.

So, he grabbed the small female and pushed her to the ground and positioned his body over her for protection.

He turned his head in time to see another shot being fired off at them. And Than-guan quickly picked her up and dodged the blast again. The hunter found a large hollowed out dip beneath the roots of a large tree and shoved her in it.

Then he stood back up and scanned his surroundings.

As soon as he spotted the form of another yautja in a tree several yards to his left, the same one fired off a third shot at Than-guan. The dark colored hunter growled in irritation and ducked out of the way of that blast too.

"S'yuit-de! Come out and face me!" He yelled at the hunter in the tree.

But instead of coming down, the hunter just started leaping from one tree to another for cover. Which only pissed off Than-guan even more. The one he was dealing with was a huge coward indeed.

He followed his movements until he came to a stop behind a tree to his right.

Once the hunter peaked out from behind that tree and took aim again, Than-guan was ready for it. He quickly whipped out his chakt-ra and whipped it at the other hunter.

The smart disc made its mark and destroyed the other hunter's shoulder cannon. It cut through it and the cannon part separated from the rest of it in a huge display of sparks.

The other hunter clicked and growled in irritation as he quickly removed the now destroyed shoulder cannon and threw it to the ground.

By the time Than-guan's chakt-ra returned to him, the hunter finally jumped down to the ground several feet away in front of him. And once he landed, he quickly pulled out his net gun and fired it at Than-guan.

Once again, the blooded warrior had to quickly dive out of the way as the deadly net flew past him and missed him by inches.

"Enough! You will fight me now! You pauking little coward! Or do you not have the balls to do so?" Than-guan snapped.

Those remarks finally got to the other hunter, and he growled in anger. He then finally let his cloaking device melt away and revealed himself to Than-guan.

Kayla could see them from her hiding place beneath the roots. It was the green colored yautja in the group. She watched as he pulled out a metallic spear, lengthen it, and hold it in front of him.

Than-guan did the same and pulled his out from behind his back. He gave it a couple twirls before poising it in front of him.

"Your move, S'yuit-de Ic'jit." Than-guan growled.

The other hunter bellowed at him and charged him. Something that made Than-guan smirk.

'The hot-headed ones fall for it every time.' He thought.

The seasoned warrior waited until the bad blood was close enough, then he twirled out of the way at the last second and slammed his combi stick into his back.

The other hunter grunted and whirled around to face him with a snarl. He then tried to jab Than-guan with his own combi stick.

Each jab he threw though, Than-guan parried with ease. This bad blood really wasn't all that good and his hits were becoming sloppier as they went.

This fight barely lasted five minutes before Than-guan swung his combi stick out at the other's head. There was a loud clanging sound as it made contact with his mask, and it came lose and flew off his face.

The moved stunned him briefly and gave Than-guan the time to kick his leg out and kick him in his gut. The move sent him stumbling back and he fell on the ground.

He went to get up but the seasoned warrior placed the end of his sharp combi stick at his jaw and held it there. That's when the hunter looked up with fearful eyes.

"H'chak!" The green one pleaded.

But Than-guan would hear none of it.

"H'ko. M-di H'chak, Ic'jit." Than-guan growled.

In a last-ditch effort, the bad blood quickly extended his wrist blades and made to swipe at the warrior above him. But Than-guan saw his move and quickly drove the sharp end of his combi stick into the bad bloods face, right between his eyes.

The body jerked and spasmed as the combi stick went right through the skull and brain of the bad blood.

When it stopped spasming, Than-guan roughly ripped it free from the bad blood's skull. Making small chunks of brain matter and blood fly out from the harsh retraction of the spear.

Than-guan knew it wasn't over. He could sense he was being watched about halfway through the fight with this bad blood.

He kept his combi stick in hand and turned around when he sensed someone come in behind him. And he quickly whirled around to face him.

Standing before him, was none other than Lar'nix'va. The very bad blood that framed him back on Yautja Prime a few months back. His brother Mar'cte stood to his right.

And to Than-guan's horror, Mar'cte had Kayla in his grip. She was struggling hard to get out of the steely grip of the one arm that held her pressed back into his front.

"Well, I must say. This is quite the surprise. Who would've thought out of any hunter that could've been here, it be you Than-guan?" The large red yautja taunted.

The seasoned blooded warrior narrowed his eyes at the bad blood.

"What did you expect? Did you honestly think I'd let you get away with that crime back on home world, Lar'nix'va?" Than-guan spat.

Lar'nix'va chuckled, "No, I should've known you'd be too stubborn to let it go. I don't know what I enjoyed more. The young female you caught me raping and killing or destroying your honor. Both were quite pleasurable either way."

Than-guan snarled in disgust and anger.

"You truly are a vile creature. I almost pity Cetanu when he comes to receive you upon your death." He snapped.

Than-guan's attention snapped to Mar'cte when he heard Kayla cry out. The bad blood had his hand around part of her throat and lower jaw. Fear was ever present in her eyes as he squeezed her.

Lar'nix'va grinned and followed the other hunter's gaze to his brother standing next to him with the small ooman female.

"I can't thank you for at least keeping my pet safe for me. Here, I thought she may have met her demise to one of the many carnivorous beasts here. Instead, we find her in your presence.

But my brother and I will be taking her back with us now. Tell me though, you think her pussy will be even tighter and more delectable than the young female I raped and killed back on home world?" The red yautja taunted.

Mar'cte just cackled at his brother's remark.

'Sick pauk!' Than-guan's mind screamed.

He wanted nothing more than to take this despicable Ic'jit's head off. But he was dealing with a bit of a difficult situation here. If he were to try and make a move, they may kill Kayla right there in front of him.

Just like Lar'nix'va did to poor young Nk'mecci.

"Let her go. This fight is between you and me." Than-guan said.

Lar'nix'va cocked his head to the side.

"Now, why would I do that? She's my pet, I found her." He replied.

"She is not pet! And you kidnapped her!" The blooded warrior argued.

The large blood red yautja just looked at him.

"Please Than-guan you know as well as I that yautja have kept oomans as pets before. Though it is extremely rare. It was considered exotic having ones for pets." He stated.

"You really need to brush up on your history then. Because that was outlawed a good couple centuries ago. Not that you ever gave a cjit about our laws and code. Your nothing but a disgrace. Always have been and always will be." Than-guan retorted.

It was then he heard wrist blades being extracted. And he looked over in time to see Mar'cte hold the blades threateningly in front of Kayla's face.

Than-guan growled a warning to him.

"Watch how you speak of my brother. He's one of the best warriors in our clan and you and I both know it." Mar'cte growled.

The seasoned warrior would've laughed at that remark and said something back. But he didn't want to continue to endanger Kayla.

"There is no shame in this you know. I'm sure even you'll agree she's quite the cute little thing. I'm even willing to share her with you if you'd like." Lar'nix'va said with a sneer.

"Ki'cte! You will cease this disgusting banter and fight me. If I win, she goes free." Than-guan said.

Kayla was scared as hell right now. The leader she learned was Lar'nix'va and Than-guan were going back and forth with their strange language.

It was pretty clear by the large red yautja's tone that he was taunting the other warrior. And for the most part, Than-guan was keeping himself under control enough so not to do anything stupid or rash.

She felt the one holding her, his hand was sliding a little closer to her mouth. She was unsure whether he realized this or not. But she refused to be restrained any longer with this creep waving around wrist blades in front of her face.

Something told her Than-guan was hesitant to try anything because they had her.

But this stand still was getting them nowhere. It wasn't the best idea and it could end up getting her killed. But she had to do something that could distract them.

Than-guan still had his combi stick clutched in his hand. And she saw Lar'nix'va reach behind him to pull a weapon from his back.

That's when Kayla opened her mouth and bit down as hard as she could on the bad blood's hand.

He howled in pain and Kayla could taste an odd metallic yet sweet taste as she broke through skin and made him bleed. The other two warriors snapped their gaze in Mar'cte's direction.

Only to see his hand begin to bleed as the ooman female bit into it.

Mar'cte let her go with a snarl. Then he pulled his arm back and slammed it into her. Kayla let out a pained grunt as his arm made impact on her torso and threw her back several feet.

She hit the ground hard and began to roll down a small steep hill next to the path.

Then the steep ground beneath her disappeared and she found herself freefalling into the raging river below.

"KAYLA!" Than-guan roared.

He had Lar'nix'va right here where he wanted him. But now, he would have to make the choice to stay and fight or jump in after her.

As badly as he wanted this though, he quickly gave in and sprinted to the steep side of the cliff. He quickly retracted his combi stick and shoved it back onto his back. The others didn't stop him as he jumped off and started falling into the river several meters down.

Lar'nix'va and Mar'cte approached the side of the cliff and scanned the water down below.

The rapids were quite rough and even with their masks, they quickly lost sight of Than-guan and the ooman female as they were quickly swept downstream.

"Shall we go down and see if we can intercept him by the river's edge?" Mar'cte inquired.

Lar'nix'va snorted.

"Sure, be my guest. With how fast that water is moving, we won't make it down there in time. They are probably already at least a good two miles away. Unless you wish to jump in after them, don't ask stupid questions, Mar'cte." The large red yautja said to his brother.

Mar'cte grunted, "They probably drowned anyway."

The leader shook his head, "No, it takes more than that to take down Than-guan. Believe me I know. He's still alive somewhere down there. And we will find him.

Now that we know that it's him here hunting us, I wish to draw this out a little longer. So, I can savor my victory over him once I kill him and take his head for my trophy."

The two bad bloods stood there a little longer. Before they turned around and left. They didn't bother retrieving Ka'Torag's body. But they did take his weapons and armor with them.
