Chapter 2 - The News, for the Third Time
Two weeks after the U.A World Sports Festival had concluded, all of the foreign teams, save for the American students in Class 1-A and 1-B, went back to their home countries. However, those of the foreign teams who had made friends with each other, traded their phone numbers and contact information with each other, so they could keep in touch. Now that the Sports Festival was over, things were going to back to normal. Or rather, abnormal, if you were Aizawa.
Speaking of Aizawa, he had recently gotten married to Ms. Joke, and was on a honeymoon with her during the Sports Festival. Many people, including the student of U.A and Ketsubutsu, were shocked at the marriage arrangement between them. But the logical conclusion, which Aizawa stuck to whenever somebody asked him about it, was that his foster daughter, Eri, needed a mother, and someone who could make her laugh.
Of course, there was the fact that they both were teachers, and their teaching jobs were at separate schools. But when the three of them were together, that's when Ms. Joke could care for her, and she did promise not to use her 'Outburst' quirk on Eri, so that any laughter the little girl gave would be genuine. During that time when they were away, and Eri needed to be watched over, the members of the Big Three volunteered to do that. Still, there were a number of things that needed to be taken care of, like if Aizawa and Ms. Joke decided to move in to a house with Eri, which meant he would be leaving the Class 1-A dorms, and that someone would have to move in to manage things.
But the first thing he had to do, was get back to teaching Class 1-A.
The students of Class 1-A, along with their six American counterparts, were all gathered in the classrooms and in their own groups. Matthew, Milo, and Murdock were sitting at a group of desks with Kirishima, Kaminari, Ashido, Ojiro, and Koda. At the moment, the eight were having a very important and interesting discussion.
"Okay, I have a question," said Matthew. "If you had to fight an Xenomorph or a Yautja, what would you fight?"

Matthew was a sixteen-year-old young man, and he had short, dark brown hair, brown eyes, and fair skin. His clothing at the moment consisted of the U.A school uniform, with slight modifications: a light gray blazer jacket, a white dress shirt, black dress pants, and his white running shoes.
"A what and what?" Kaminari asked, his tone confused.
"An Alien, like in that movie Alien, or a Predator, like in that movie Predator," Milo replied. "If you had to fight one of those two, which you fight?"

Milo was sixteen years old. He had brown hair cut into a spiky mid-fade haircut, blue eyes, and fair skin. His clothing at the moment consisted of the U.A school uniform: a light gray blazer jacket, a white dress shirt, black dress pants, a red tie, and brown dress shoes. He also wore a silver 'Star of David' necklace around his neck.
"I wouldn't even have to fight the alien," Ashido spoke up cheerfully. "We both have acid, which would make us best buds!"
"Uh, hate to burst your bubble there, Ashido, but the alien is like animal, meaning it has no idea of right and wrong; everything's purely instinctual," Murdock replied. "However, with your charming sweetness, and energetic personality, I'm pretty sure you would be able to make it into a pet."

Love Interest: Setsuna Tokage
Murdock was a lanky looking young man, about sixteen years of age. He had blonde, somewhat long hair, icy green eyes, a clean-cut face, tanned skin, a smile with a tooth missing, and a toothpick hanging out of his mouth. His clothing at the moment consisted of the U.A school uniform, with slight modifications: his white cowboy hat on his head, a gray vest, a white dress shirt, black dress pants, a red tie, and his brown cowboy boots.
"Kirishima, I think you would be more inclined to fight the Predator," said Matthew. "They aren't like animals, meaning they're sentient, and they have an honor system, meaning they don't fight unless provoked. Also, they don't attack unarmed people, women, or children, meaning if you don't want to fight them, they'll leave you alone. Since you like an honorable fight, and you have a code of honor like they do, you guys would be the perfect combatants."
"Yeah, but who would win?" Ojiro asked. "Kirishima or the Predator?"
"I never asked who would win," Matthew replied, his tone humorous. "I'm just asking who you would fight."
"Wait a minute," said Ashido. "If the aliens are like animals, does that mean Koda could talk to them?"
"I don't know if I would be able to talk to them," said Koda, his tone somewhat sheepish. "Those aliens are scary, and I would hate to hear what kind of thoughts are going through their minds."
Matthew, Milo, and Murdock all stood there with surprised looks on their faces, much to the confusion of Kirishima, Kaminari, Ashido, Ojiro, and Koda.
"What?" Koda asked, his tone confused.
"Koda, we've been here for a couple of months now, and that's the first time we've ever heard you talk," Murdock replied, his tone surprised. "You sound just like a little kid!"
"Yeah, I was kind of expecting you to have a gravelly voice," Milo added, his tone equally surprised. "You know, since you kind of look like a rock monster. But, to my surprise, you sound like an eight-year-old!"
"Easy, you two," said Matthew, having shaken off the surprise. "What they're trying to so delicately say, is that we've never heard you talk before, so it's kind of surprising that you sound like that."
"Yeah, I don't really talk much," Koda replied, his tone still somewhat sheepish. "I was hoping to go through the entire school year without talking, but the final exams broke that hope for me."
Suddenly, the doors to the classroom opened, and Aizawa entered. Upon seeing him enter, Iida quickly got to his feet.
"Mr. Aizawa has arrived!" Iida announced, waving his arms like a robot. "Everyone get to their seats!"
Some students smiled and rolled their eyes, as they sat down at their usual desks. Aizawa stepped up to the teacher's desk, while Iida sat down at his desk.
"Good morning." said Aizawa, his tone bored and grumpy-sounding as usual.
"Good morning, Mr. Aizawa," all of Class 1-A said in unison. "We're all in our places, with bright, shining faces."
An expression of confusion came over Aizawa's face, upon hearing his students say the phrase like they were back in elementary school. But upon realizing what they were doing, he went back to his normal expression.
"For a second, I thought I was in the wrong class," Aizawa replied. "But if you think that's going to get you out of extra training, you'd be dead wrong."
A collective groan emerged from Class 1-A, as their plan of trying to get out of extra training went down the drain. Aizawa then cleared his throat, straightened up, and continued with what he had to say.
"Okay, I have four items on the list," said Aizawa. "First off, I am back from my honeymoon, and if you want to see the photos, ask my wife. I hope all of you didn't get comfortable on me, 'cause there's going to be some extra training. And by extra, I mean extra painful, and extra hard."
Class 1-A let out another collective groan, as Aizawa continued, "Second order of business, I want to congratulate you all on a job well done; you all proved yourselves during the World Sports Festival, and you even impressed those from the foreign countries. Ashido, Shiloh, excellent job on making it to the final five, and Noble, I'm very impressed at how you, a quirkless, won the Sports Festival. Just goes to show that with determination, hard-work, and somebody upstairs who's looking out for you, you can do anything someone with a quirk can do."
Ashido and Milo looked at each other and smiled brightly, while Matthew nodded his head in reply, both out of proudness and respectfulness. A small smile briefly formed over Aizawa's lips, before it faded and he went back to his usual expression.
"Third, now that the U.A Sports Festival is out of the way, work-study internships are coming up again," Aizawa continued, which caused the class to break out into cheers, and he had to wait a few seconds for the cheering to die down. "A lot of heroes were scouting out during the Sports Festival, and there are many that want to pick you for interning at their agency, especially you American students. At the end of school today, you'll get to pick out who you want to intern under. Choose wisely, 'cause you'll be stuck with that person until the end of the school year, which brings me to my fourth and final.
"Final exams will be coming up again soon, and while you all did good on the written exam last year, performances on the physical exam left a lot to be desired. Namely, five students failed the physical exam, and had it not been that they did well on the written exam, they would've failed completely. The five students in question are Kirishima, Sato, Kaminari, Ashido, and Sero - I hope that we will not have a repeat of last year."
A collective and annoyed groan came up from the students who Aizawa mentioned, and they all remembered what they went through when they failed - extra classes, extra training, and while the other members of their class got to do a night event, they were dragged back to the main office for more studying. Although, to be fair, they would've been caught in the crossfire of the training camp attack, had they passed.
"As for what the final physical exam shall be, Principal Nezu has informed me that it is a surprise," Aizawa continued. "In the meantime, study for the written exam when you can. Any questions?"
Midoriya held his hand up and asked, "When we complete the exams, will we be going to the training camp again?"
"No, we are going somewhere different, and that is also a surprise," Aizawa replied. "Before the final exams, I will inform you of where you'll be heading, if you make it through the exams. Alright, now take out your textbooks and-"
"Read page three hundred, or read page one hundred and fifty twice," Kaminari and Mineta said at the same time, both with annoyed tones of voice.
"Yes, and then you two are going to the principal's office," Aizawa replied, before cracking one of his rarely-seen grins. "Just kidding!"
After homeroom, language arts, and math, it was lunchtime, and the students gathered in the 'LUNCH RUSH' cafeteria to eat. As Murdock was waiting in line to get some lunch, Setsuna Tokage came up to join him.
"Hi!" Tokage greeted cheerfully, a bright smile on her face.
"Well howdy, little lady," Murdock replied, his tone now equally cheerful. "Care to join me for rustling up some vittles?"
"What?" Tokage asked, her tone confused, yet still cheerful.
"Sorry, cowboy-talk," Murdock replied, his tone a little sheepish. "What I meant to ask, was if you wanted to join me for lunch?"
"Oh that's what you meant - I gotta learn more of this cowboy-talk!"
"You're doing pretty good, though - ladies first."
Murdock moved out of the way, and Tokage went in front of him in the line, so that she could get lunch first. After they both got their lunch, they went to find a table, and as they walked through the cafeteria, they chatted about the internships and final exams coming up.
"You should've seen what we did to get into Aizawa's good graces," said Murdock, his tone comical. "We all sat up straight, and said in unison 'we're all in our places with bright shining faces!'"
Both Murdock and Tokage laughed, and then Tokage asked, "Did it work?"
"Unfortunately, no," Murdock replied, his tone suddenly dark. "You would think that with him getting married and all, it would make him a little nicer."
"Yeah, even us in Class 1-B don't know what's up with him." Tokage added, her tone confused.
Murdock and Tokage then located a table to sit at, and came over to where Yaoyaorozu, Jiro, Joshua, and Awase were sitting.
"Ladies, Joshua, Awase, mind if we sit here?" Murdock asked.
"Sure, have a seat," Joshua replied. "We were just talking about you."
Name: Joshua Graham
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Place of Birth: UNKNOWN
Nationality: American
Quirk: Assault - When angered, transforms into a feral and animalistic state. When transformed, appearance becomes animalistic: Ears become pointier, teeth and fingernails become sharper, and eyes become fierce. Transformed state also gives extreme strength, extreme agility, extreme ferocity, extreme durability, and a healing factor. Only drawback is that if in feral form for too long, can lose all sense of control.
Hero Name: Feral Unleashed
Hero License: Provisional
Original Place of Education: Justice High - Queens, New York
Love Interest: Kyoka Jiro
Joshua was a young man of sixteen years of age. He had short black hair, blue eyes, and somewhat pale skin. His clothing at the moment consisted of the U.A school uniform: a light gray blazer jacket, a white dress shirt, black dress pants, a red tie, and brown dress shoes.
"What do you mean?" Murdock asked, his tone confused, as he and Tokage sat down.
"We heard some news about you, and we were wondering if it is true," Jiro replied, her tone cool and unenthusiastic. "Yaomomo was the one who heard the news, so she should be the one to ask you about it."
"Yaomomo?" Tokage asked, her tone playful. "Cute nickname."
"What news did you hear about me?" Murdock asked.
"You know how my father is a businessman, right?" Yaoyaorozu asked, her tone inquisitive. "Well, he was at a meeting about oil stocks, and he met a man there named H.R Jenkins, who is a very rich oil baron. You last name also happens to be Jenkins; are you related to him?"
"Yeah, he's my father," Murdock replied nonchalantly. "And we're filthy, stinking rich."
"You're rich?!" Tokage asked, her tone shocked. "How rich?!"
"Very," Murdock replied nonchalantly. "My father's quirk allows him to produce oil, and he was able to make a lot of money selling the oil he produced, which is how we got so rich. I don't have the quirk, and neither does my older sister, since we inherited our mother's quirk, which is elasticity. My older brother has the quirk, and so do my younger twin brothers - little brats used to grease the floor whenever I was in the bathroom, and I would come out slipping and sliding. However, when my father found out what they were up to, he had our mom punish them - she gave them an elastic whipping like you wouldn't believe. I tell you, I was grinning like a madman on that day."
Murdock then noticed that everyone was looking at him with confused and bewildered expressions, so he cleared his throat and said, "But yes, H.R Jenkins is my father, and we are rich. We own a mansion, a ranch, animals, acres of land, you know, all the good stuff you find down in Texas territory."
"And why have you never told any of us?" Awase asked.
"None of you asked, and I don't like to flaunt my wealth," Murdock replied. "Besides, it's more fun to see people's reactions, when they find out what family I'm from, and how rich I am."
Jiro chuckled and said, "Wait till Uraraka finds out; she's gonna lose her mind."
"Attention, students!" Principal Nezu's cheerful voice suddenly came over the loudspeakers. "This is your benevolent principal, Principal Nezu, making an announcement: will Matthew Noble please report to my office after lunch? Thank you!"
"Huh, that's weird," said Joshua. "I wonder what Nezu want with Matthew?"
Author's Notes: Since I was making a returning introduction on the first chapter, I forgot to mention that this is a sequel story to my first two MHA FanFictions "Culture Clash! - Students from America!" and "Matthew Noble Versus The World", which I highly recommend you read before reading this, if you haven't already.
Also, I am taking some plot-lines out of the story, just so that it doesn't get too confusing. So if you read the PREVIEW section in my last MHA FanFiction, and then you read this, and wonder why a storyline from the preview isn't there, this is the reason. However, there are some scenes that I'll still keep, but you'll have to keep reading to find out which ones.
Finally, on another note, I was play the MHA iPhone Game "My Hero Ultra Impact". For those who don't know what it is, It's a dungeon-crawler game based of the MHA Story, where you get and upgrade Characters, along with these pictures called 'Memories'. Anyway, a terrible injustice occurred - they had a new event, a summer-themed event, and they showed these two memories of the girls of Class 1-A hanging out. One showed Uraraka and Yaoyaorozu, and the other showed the rest of the girls of Class 1-A.
HOWEVER, FOR SOME REASON, Ashido had been swapped out! FOR HADO INSTEAD! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?! My favorite character, and they pull this on me! I'm furious! What kind of agenda do they have against my favorite character, and why did have to make her the only girl in Class 1-A NOT TO APPEAR IN THE PICTURE?! I FEEL LIKE I'M ABOUT TO GO FULL-ON "FANBOY RAGE" HERE!
*Stops, takes a couple of breaths, clears throat, and goes back to normal*
Sorry, lost my head for a minute there - wanted to write a message about that, and it turns into a full-blown rant.
Make sure to stay tuned for more chapters!
