Fireworks went off from the stadium, ending in a massive smoke bomb. Once the smoke cleared, it revealed Tails standing on a podium. A hesitant look became plastered onto the young fox's face. He looked around and gulped lightly, biting his tongue. Tens of thousands of spectators at the event surround him. All those people were cheering and excited after watching the obstacle course throughout Spring Yard Casino's stadium and on-screen.

"I did it, Sonic! I brought my head into the game and did what you told me to try and be." Tails thought as he looked around nervously. "It's too bad he couldn't be in the race to see me accomplish something for once in my life. I hope that I'll find Sonic around here somewhere."

Just then, Breezie began to approach the young fox with a golden trophy cup full of bundles of money and a purple Chaos Emerald. Tails could only get a little bashful as he tried to show some belief in himself, cracking a small smile while T-Pup yipped around his creator.

"Now it gives me great pleasure to present this beautiful trophy bounded with the cash prize, as well as the Chaos Emerald..." Breezie said on the microphone as she handed each of them over to the young winner of the event. "...to Turbo Tails!"

The crowd hollered again, yelling their lungs out because of what happened this evening. Tails could feel the audience's cheers were thunderous, watching them shoot up from their seats and pump their fists in the air for the winner.

"Congratulations on winning the obstacle course, Turbo Tails!" Breezie exclaimed, throwing her hand in the air with a smile as she glanced at Tails. "It was the most challenging racecourse we could devise, and we doubted if any racer would be able to conquer the Crush Cubes. But you proved us wrong! Your performance throughout the competition has been remarkable, and I commend you for it."

"Oh! Uh, t-thank you so much!" Tails answered the businesswoman with his usual stutter but had a thoughtful expression. "If it wasn't for my friend Sonic, I wouldn't be here because of my bad memories. But he showed me that my two tails are mine alone as it is my body after all. I showed great skill to everyone here, and I'll keep this in mind whenever there's room to improve. I'm sure I'll go far and hope to be cool like Sonic one day."

First, there was only silence, so much that one could probably hear a pin drop. But then, Tails' nervous expression became replaced with happiness and appreciation as everyone in the stadium began clapping. They gave their round of applause to Tails, showing the respect and admiration they now had for such meaningful words. Tails smiled at the realization that the applause was directed at himself, a feeling one would have when one achieved something extraordinary.

"Very touching, Turbo Tails," Breezie's voice resonated through her microphone, her tone dripping with fascination and amusement. Drawing closer to the blinking fox boy, she extended a slender finger, emphasizing her point. "But wait, if you read the fine print, you would know that only the losers get to leave!"

A mixture of surprise and concern washed over Tails, his mind grappling with the newfound information. But before Tails could fully process the implications, Breezie closed the physical gap between them, her presence captivating and beguiling. She gently caressed Tails' blushing cheek, eliciting a soft, involuntary squeak from the young fox. A flirtatious smirk danced upon her lips.

"However," Breezie purred, her voice laced with allure and mischief, "there's an enticing alternative. The winner, fortunate in claiming the ultimate victory, shall become my newest assistant!" Her words hung in the air, laced with a tormenting promise that intrigued and unsettled Tails simultaneously.

A surge of emotions flooded Tails' being, uncertainty, curiosity, and a hint of apprehension. While daunting, the prospect of becoming Breezie's assistant held a strange allure. Tails couldn't help but ponder the implications, his mind swirling with thoughts and emotions.

However, Tails' attention became abruptly diverted when he noticed a large, gray, bulbous hover unit descending toward a distant hill. It was a familiar sight, one associated with the forces of Snively. Fear gripped him, causing his body to tense up, and his breath grew shallow. He stood frozen for a moment. His mind was racing to assess the situation before him.

As he observed, Swat-Bots emerged on sight, making their way through the crowd at Spring Yard Casino, pushing aside visitors with little regard. Tails quickly snapped out of his initial shock, his determination rekindling within him. Despite his fear welling up, he couldn't let Snively and the Swat-Bots force him and T-Pup back to Robotropolis.

Tails knew that finding Sonic was his top priority because it was evident that Breezie had no intention of revealing his blue idol's whereabouts. But before anything else, Tails needed to confront Snively regarding the Badniks being empowered by critters. Tails found himself burdened with too many things in his hands and ignored Breezie.

"What...?" Breezie glanced at Tails, her eyes widening as if caught off guard.

Giving her a sidelong glance, Tails responded firmly, "Thanks, but no thanks, ma'am."

The unexpected turn of events left Breezie dumbfounded, her calculated composure momentarily shattered by the young fox's refusal. Tails hastily thrust his hard-earned trophy, containing the prize money, into the paws of a familiar mobian dog amidst the bustling crowd. As he prepared to take off with the purple Chaos Emerald, Tails signaled for T-Pup to join him, ensuring the loyal companion was not left behind.

"Here, you can take this!" Tails managed to convey, his words rushed yet sincere, before departing swiftly.

Tails leaped into the air, accompanied by T-Pup. They aimed for the spring launchers, propelling themselves upwards with incredible force. Soaring high into the sky, Tails gracefully spread his two namesakes, utilizing them as spinning propellers, and began to glide away, leaving Breezie and the awed spectators behind.

The mobian dog, bewildered by the unexpected turn of events, gazed in astonishment at the trophy clasped in his hands, containing the valuable cash prize. Realization dawned upon him, revealing the potential significance of this unexpected gift, a chance to reclaim his family's lost home. Overwhelmed with gratitude for Tails' selflessness, the mobian dog gestured with a wave, a heartfelt expression of thanks, as he watched the young fox and his canine robot fly off.

For the first time in her illustrious career, Breezie felt a twinge of insult, an unfamiliar sensation that ruffled the quills of her unshakable confidence. Her flirtatious smirk faltered, replaced by a subtle hint of bewilderment. Even the unexpected kindness of bestowing the means for a stranger to reclaim their home only added to Breezie's perplexity.

Regaining her composure, Breezie masked her surprise with a tight-lipped smile, though a glint of annoyance flickered in her eyes. She quickly recalibrated, slipping back into her polished demeanor. A mask of professionalism that concealed any personal indignity.

"Very well, kid," Breezie muttered, her voice calm and composed, masking the slight edge of irritation. "It seems you possess a resilience and independence that I had not anticipated. A rare quality indeed."

With a swift motion, the hatch swung open, allowing Snively to step out of the sleek hover unit. His demeanor became marked by a palpable sense of bitterness, evident in the tightness of his jaw and the furrowed lines on his forehead.

Snively's mind had become fueled by his uncle's incessant ramblings, left with no option but to ensure that Miles was not engaging in any activities that deviated from the mission entrusted to him. Snively became accompanied by the Commando-Bot, as well as a duo of Swat-Bots.

These robotic enforcers, designed for efficiency and precision, marched in lockstep beside him, their mechanical limbs moving with calculated precision. Their purpose was clear: to track down Miles and bring him back to the imposing Scrap Brain Factory for questioning.

"Where is that little tryhard!" Snively grumbled to himself until somebody interrupted his brooding, calling out to him.

"I'm right here, Dr. Snively."

As Tails emerged from the bushes, holding a Chaos Emerald in his hand, the short human could practically sense his headache decreasing upon seeing the purple gemstone. When the two Swat-Bots moved forward to apprehend Tails, Snively raised a single hand, signaling them to halt and return to their original positions with a note of caution.

Snively smirked as he approached, his gaze fixed on the Chaos Emerald, intending to seize it himself. "Well, well, I must say I'm impressed," he sneered. "I was just on my way to track you down. But it appears you have exceeded my expectations. Continue down this path, and you might become a trusted ally for once."

"And by a trusted ally, you mean helping you turn innocent animals into robot slaves?" Tails stood his ground, his grip tightening around the precious Chaos Emerald, preventing Snively from getting his hands on it.

Snively's reaction was swift, his previously composed demeanor crumbling as his eyes widened in surprise. His scowl deepened, betraying a mix of annoyance and introspection. Finally, he mustered the courage to respond, his voice laced with curiosity and hardheadedness.

"Why are you interested in that?" Snively questioned, his words tinged with a hint of defensiveness.

"I've always understood the mechanics of the robots Dr. Robotnik instructs me to build," Tails, his ears drooping slightly, met Snively's gaze with determination and vulnerability. His response was measured yet heartfelt, revealing a longing for understanding. "But you never told me where their energy source comes from."

"That's classified information, defect," Snively's reaction was immediate, a flicker of tension manifesting in his posture. "Dr. Robotnik feared that if you were to learn the truth, you would become a target. Besides, your role here is to support and scavenge for his interests, not waste time with a miserable hedgehog who undermines our work."

Memories flooded back to when Tails had worked tirelessly to enhance the Badniks, making them appear more innocent and programming them to blend into their surroundings. However, the recent events during the race had made him realize that each of these seemingly harmless robots held the potential to cause harm or even kill Sonic or himself.

The mere thought of one of his creations taking a life was utterly loathing to Tails. Yet, somehow, Dr. Robotnik and Snively had continually modified their programming, transforming them into deadly weapons. Tails found himself growing increasingly irritated by Snively's proclamations.

Tails pretended to avoid direct eye contact with the short human's intense gaze. "Well, I guess when you put it that way..."

"That's what I thought," Snively's smirk widened as he anticipated compliance, but his expression abruptly transformed into a deep frown. He extended his hand toward Tails, demanding, "Now, hand over the Emerald, and perhaps I'll spare you further interrogation on the way back-! ARGH!"

Snively's arrogant face quickly transformed into one of agony and surprise. The pain gripping him was not of Tails' doing but a mischievous act carried out by T-Pup, who had silently approached the scene. Snively's outstretched hand froze mid-gesture as his undergarments had gotten swiftly yanked up and over his head. The fabric of his underwear stretched to its limits by T-Pup's teeth, inflicting a painful atomic wedgie that elicited a sharp cry of discomfort from the short human.

"HOW DARE YOU-!" Snively's enraged scream was abruptly cut off, his words muffled by the unexpected entanglement of his voice with a rather unconventional prison of underwear.

As Snively struggled to free himself from his makeshift blindfold and rectify the unfortunate situation, Tails extended his leg, strategically tripping Snively. The short human tumbled forcefully to the ground. A surge of pain coursed through Snively's face upon impact.

"Wow, doing the right thing has never felt so dumb!" Tails exclaimed, his frustration evident. He twirled his twin namesakes like propellers, thrusting himself away, and swiftly descended the hill toward Spring Yard Casino. Sensing the urgency, T-Pup joined in at the last moment.

"ARGH! GET HIM!" Tails heard Snively's furious shout echoing from behind, the unmistakable rage in his voice reverberating through the air.

Tails swiftly darted from ledge to ledge, but in his haste, he struggled to maintain his momentum. As a result, both he and T-Pup clumsily collided with unsuspecting visitors within the bustling courtyard of Spring Yard Casino. With a sense of urgency, the young fox quickly rose to his feet and hurriedly maneuvered past the groaning pile, mouthing a sincere apology as he went. T-Pup followed closely behind him, both determined to find Sonic without further interruption.

But as Tails made his way, he unexpectedly collided with the Commando-Bot, causing him to stumble back in surprise. The military Badnik loomed before him, advancing with purpose, its intent to capture him evident. Sensing the imminent danger, Tails quickly retreated, trying to create some distance between himself and the Swat-Bot.

The military Badnik raised its arm, revealing a built-in wrist blaster pointed directly at Tails. Its cold robotic voice echoed, "Miles Prower, you have been charged with treason and are deemed an enemy of the Robotnik Empire. Surrender yourself or face utter and complete destruction."

"Hey, wait, listen, I can explain...!" Tails pleaded, urgently trying to get his message across. "Better yet...!"

As the Commando-Bot unleashed a barrage of laser blasts at Tails, the fox boy narrowly evaded the searing beams, his heart pounding. It became pure luck or fate that one of the shots struck a jumbo slot machine. The slot machine shuddered violently, emitting a cacophony of clanging noises before erupting into cascading coins. Mountains of shimmering currency tumbled an avalanche that engulfed the unsuspecting Commando-Bot.

Tails took advantage of the diversion and swiftly dashed past the temporarily disabled Commando-Bot, making his escape with T-Pup up a pile of barrels. Tails kicked one barrel down, causing it to topple onto three more Swat-Bots, hindering them.

Each Swat-Bot pursued one by one as they were on the ground. Laser beams streaked through the air, narrowly missing their agile targets. Thinking quickly, Tails dashed toward a wooden post, seeking cover from the onslaught. T-Pup, perched on the platform above with his creator, instinctively turned away, avoiding the lasers that zipped past.

Undeterred, the Swat-Bots changed tactics, realizing that a direct hit was proving difficult. They coordinated their efforts, shaking the platform where Tails and T-Pup stood. The foundation beneath them trembled, threatening to waver their footing and knock them off balance.

Tails leaped from the platform, seemingly heading toward his demise. But he swiftly caught hold of T-Pup's paws with acrobatic precision. The daring duo somersaulted through the air and gracefully landed on a narrow window ledge.

As Tails took a moment to catch his breath, he affectionately stroked T-Pup's head. "Whew, that was a close one, T-Pup! Thanks for the save back there-!"

"Well, well, look who decided to pay us a visit. Don't worry, little fox, we won't bite...! Unless you want us to."

Looking upward, Tails realized they had inadvertently entered a brothel, a place he usually steered clear of due to the giggling nature of the harem girls. Strangely enough, they seemed to take pleasure in teasing Tails.

A faint blush tinged the cheeks of the young fox, adding a subtle warmth to his features. "Uh, no thanks. I think we'll be on our way."

"Oh, come on, don't be shy. We're just having a little fun." One of the harem girls teased.

Another harem girl approached him, extending their hands to lift him, and began a playful dance around him while stroking him. "Dance with us, foxy!"

"S-Sorry, ladies, but I need to find a way out of here." Tails gulped nervously.

Slightly flustered and seeking an escape route, Tails anxiously scanned the room for an exit. Unfortunately, another of the harem girls swiftly wrapped her scarf around him, impeding his movement. "Not so fast, foxy. Let's have some more fun!"

"Hey, let me go! I really don't have time for this." The young fox's hands fumbled as he tried to free himself from the scarf.

With a mischievous grin, the harem girl spun Tails around, causing him to inadvertently collide with the Massage Parlor manager, a plump woman of substantial girth. "Get out of here, you little pervert!" she shouted.

Reacting angrily, the manager swung her broom in an attempt to strike Tails, but his nimble reflexes allowed him to evade the attack as T-Pup growled protectively. Realizing that retracing his steps was the only viable option, Tails began to edge backward. T-Pup faithfully followed suit, sticking close by his side. They made it to the window until one of the harem girls smirked as she pushed them out of it. Luckily Tails and T-Pup bounced off a window tarp and landed on the ground on their feet.

"Remind me to make sure we avoid places like that," Tails says while brushing off the dust from his hoodie, eliciting an approving bark from the robotic canine.

Inside the bustling venue filled with entertainment, a crowd gathered around a street performer showcasing his muscularity. The audience marveled at his flexing display while Tails and T-Pup sought refuge, using the performer as a shield, imitating his movements. They blended seamlessly with the performance, mirroring the actions of the muscleman.

However, a misstep betrayed their presence, drawing the attention of the Swat-Bots, who swiftly identified their hiding spot. The duo soared effortlessly over a crowd of tourists. Tails glanced back and couldn't help but chuckle at the Swat-Bots struggling to get through the bewildered pack.

Bounding through the chaos, Tails and T-Pup deftly leaped over a street performer lying on a bed of nails. However, their escape took an unexpected turn when one of the Swat-Bots inadvertently crashed into the performer, eliciting a sharp cry of pain from him.

Tails and T-Pup leaped over another street performer walking harmlessly across hot coals. As they chased their target, the Swat-Bots barged through the coals, slipping and stumbling over each other. Running past the next street performer swallowing a sword, Tails swiftly snatched the sword from the swallower's mouth, causing him to gag in pain.

Tails then advanced a few Swat-Bots, who retreated cautiously. "Stay back! I've got a sword-!"

Out of nowhere, the sword in the hands of the fox boy gets shot off by none other than Snively and his trusty ray gun. Snively rolls his eyes at the uncoordinated Swat-Bots.

"You buckets of bolts!" Snively snapped. "We've ALL got blasters!"

As if responding to a command, the Swat-Bots raised their built-in wrist blasters and aimed them at the surprised Tails.

"Hehe... uh, bye!" Tails chuckled nervously before bolting off.

Tails and T-Pup became encircled by the encroaching Swat-Bots, closing in from both sides. Thinking quickly, Tails leaped into the air, grabbing hold of a rope manipulated by a street performer. As he and T-Pup ascended, the Swat-Bots collided with one another in a messy heap. The Swat-Bots chased Tails and T-Pup up a staircase in a tense pursuit. With their laser beams closing in, the duo leaped through a nearby window.

Tails revved up his two namesakes, propelling himself with T-Pup into the air as they burst through yet another window. The Swat-Bots foolishly attempted to imitate such a maneuver, only to plummet straight down and land unceremoniously in a bustling swimming pool resort below, where they short-circuit and are destroyed.

Tails and T-Pup touched down safely with a smooth landing, successfully evading the pursuing danger. The two celebrated their triumph with a well-deserved high-five after they touched the ground. "That was a close call, T-Pup. Good thing they can't fly like we can."

As the robot dog joyfully barked, an unexpected turn of events unfolded. The colossal Robotnik statue suffered a dramatic fate as its head exploded, obliterating the master computer. The statue's head popped out in black smoke with a cartoony broken teeth expression. Adding to the chaos, a torrential shower of money and coins erupted from the sky, cascading down and captivating the attention of countless mobians who eagerly scrambled to collect the unexpected windfall.

The sudden sound startled the fox boy, causing him to spin around and fix his gaze on the source of the disturbance. The Marxio Brothers were attempting to quell the chaos. But they were overrun by a mass of mobians. The trio ended up looking flattened and covered in footprints on the ground.

Somewhere nearby, Breezie's expression turned icy, her eyes becoming cold stones set in a stern face as she surveyed her scattered money. Though this setback might hinder her plans to become a formidable businesswoman, Breezie knew that this unexpected turn of events would bring the attention her business deserved.

She intended to maintain the current state of affairs, using it to her advantage.

Racing away from the demolished statue of Dr. Robotnik, Sonic grabbed Rotor by the arm, swiftly guiding him to a halt so they could assess the scene filled with jubilant mobians. The walrus handyman had regained his footing and wiped the sweat off his forehead with his cap.

"It looks like everyone hit the jackpot after seeing the best bit! Am I right, Rotor?" Sonic grinned, playfully nudging Rotor with his elbow. "Gotta admit, dude, I'm pretty impressed!"

"Hehe! Thanks, Sonic." Rotor sheepishly scratched the back of his head, a blush coloring his face.

A smile of relief spread across Tails' face as he spotted Sonic from a distance. The fear and uncertainty that had plagued Tails since he left Dr. Robotnik's empire seemed to dissipate completely. The degrading experience had been enough to make Tails determined to keep himself free from the influence of Dr. Robotnik.

The fox boy was on the verge of catching up to his idol, about to call out to Sonic when he suddenly felt a sharp prick in his back. The world around him started to spin, and his energy drained rapidly as dangerous neurotoxins coursed through his body. He heard several steps behind him, struggling to maintain his balance, only to come face to face with Snively, who switched his ray gun to tranquilizer mode.

T-Pup barked fiercely at Snively, showing his anger and determination to protect his creator. The robotic canine rushed toward the short man, but his defiance was short-lived as a nearby Swat-Bot swiftly struck him, causing him to crash to the ground with a yelp.

The sound of T-Pup's distress sent waves of panic and fear through Tails' mind. Despite the overwhelming odds, he knew he had to make an attempt to escape. His eyes fell upon two more Swat-Bots, and he lunged at the nearest one, only to be swatted away like a pesky fly by the Commando-Bot, leaving Tails sprawled on the ground. This time, Tails couldn't get up. The fox boy tried reaching a hand out for help but failed.

"Commando-Bot, take the brat into the hover unit and set a course back to the Scrap Brain Factory," Snively commanded, instructing one of the robotic foot soldiers to transport Tails into the hovercraft. Meanwhile, Snively approached Tails and swiftly reached into the fox boy's hoodie, snatching the purple Chaos Emerald. A sneer formed on Snively's face as he taunted Tails, "Dr. Robotnik is going to be deeply concerned about this, you little freak."

As a final resort, Tails screamed as loud as he could, for as long as he could, before two more tranquilizer bullets were shot into his neck, and he was gone.

The piercing scream of the young fox reached Sonic's ears, causing him to abruptly halt his conversation. His eyes widened as he caught sight of the familiar two-tailed fox being carried into a hovercraft, and his attention was drawn to the purple Chaos Emerald clutched in Snively's hand as he boarded the vehicle. Sonic and Rotor stood in utter shock, witnessing the Commando-Bot whisking away their defenseless friend. The sound of Snively's laughter at Tails' distress ignited a fiery rage within Sonic.

"HEY! LET GO OF MY FRIEND, YOU JERK!" Sonic erupted, his voice filled with anger and determination as he propelled himself forward, dashing toward the hover unit.

As the hover unit lifted off, its windshield met with a spinning blue ball, causing the glass to crack. Snively shrieked in fright and jolted in his passenger seat, his scowl returning to his face as he regarded the persistent hedgehog. Below, Rotor's attention was drawn to the robot dog sprawled on the ground, struggling to stand.

"I said let him go!" Sonic yelled, exerting force against the hood of the hover unit in an attempt to halt its progress.

"Get off the vessel, you filthy animal!" Snively retorted, pulling a lever that sent a taser shock coursing through Sonic's body, causing him to fall to the side.

"WHOA-AGH!" Sonic hit the ground, his face meeting the dirt as he struggled to regain himself. However, the hover unit swiftly resumed its flight, carrying Tails away from him.

"NO!" Sonic shouted, his frustration evident as he slammed his fist onto the dusty ground. He quickly regained his composure and boosted himself back onto his feet. "We have to go get him back-!"

"Wait, Sonic! Look what I found!" Rotor called out, drawing Sonic's attention as he crouched over the whimpering T-Pup. "This little guy seems to have been hurt by one of Snively's Swat-Bots. And the design resembles your friend!"

"Maybe it can give us some answers about what happened here and why Snively was after Tails," Sonic replied, his impatience evident as he crossed his arms. He dashed over to inspect the alarmed T-Pup alongside Rotor.

However, their approach triggered a defensive response from the canine robot. Without warning, T-Pup launched himself, aiming to charge at Sonic's head. But the quick and experienced hedgehog effortlessly dodged the attack, fully prepared for it. Sonic and Rotor attempted to calm down the hostile robot.

"Whoa! Easy there, little guy. We're not here to harm you. We want to help find your owner," Rotor reassured, raising his hands in a calming gesture.

Still wary and mistrustful, the robot dog continued its aggressive behavior, persistently attacking the two mobians. Sonic knew he had the skills to defeat T-Pup, having faced countless robots more dangerous than the canine robot. However, he couldn't bring himself to harm this particular one. After a while, T-Pup managed to bite Sonic's hand, causing the blue hedgehog to yelp in pain and accidentally send the robot dog tumbling to the ground. Realizing his mistake, Sonic approached T-Pup, observing that he was still functioning and growling.

"Don't worry, little guy. I'm sorry for scaring you earlier. We told you we're not here to hurt you. We want to help you find your master and track down the one who took him," Sonic tried to convey his intentions to T-Pup once more until the robot dog warily assented and allowed Sonic to help.

"Huh, you managed to change his mind, Sonic?" Rotor asked with relief, rubbing his temples.

"Guess so," Sonic shrugged, his voice tinged with a hint of sadness. He then turned back to T-Pup, a faint smile forming. "Look, I don't know if you can understand me, but do you know where we can find that hovercraft?"

Sonic gazed into T-Pup's bright eyes, uncertain if the robot dog comprehended his words.

With a light shake of his head and a sigh, Sonic chuckled. "Of course, I'm talking to a robot dog."

"Snively could be taking your friend back to one of Robotnik's factories!" Rotor grabbed Sonic's attention as he suggested. "Sally told me it's called the Scrap Brain Factory. It's crawling with Swat-Bots. Those things are all over the place, waiting for you to come to town so they can robotize you."

"Robotize, huh?" Sonic spoke up with a finger on his chin, showing a determined scowl. "Well, if any Badnik gets real mad and tries to gobble us up, you can bet we'll do absolutely anything to stop Butt-Nik from being able to carry out his plans."

Sonic shifted his attention to T-Pup, flashing a warm smile as he gently patted the robot dog's head. "For a darn cute robot, unlike the scraps I have had to put up with, you should stick around with us. We're going to find Sally and Bunnie in Jungle Labyrinth. You think you can do that until we get you back with your master?"

Surprisingly, despite being completely mechanical, T-Pup displayed affection toward Sonic and Rotor, resembling a lovestruck puppy. They observed his tail wagging vigorously, his tongue sticking out, and his eyes fixated on Sonic as he emitted approving yips.

"Alright then! Hold onto me tight because we're about to hit warp speed!" Sonic chuckled, patting his newfound robotic companion before rising to his feet, poised and ready.

Agreeing with a nod, Rotor firmly gripped Sonic's left arm while the blue hero cradled the robot dog in his other arm. Sonic surged forward with a burst of energy, propelling himself out of the center of Spring Yard as his momentum kicked in. Rotor and T-Pup clung on, enjoying the exhilarating ride akin to a joyous car journey, especially as a trail of dirt sprayed in their wake.

In a groggy awakening, Tails weakly opened his eyes, only to find himself in a bleak and unfamiliar environment. The dripping of water and the clamor of machinery filled the background as Tails gradually took in his surroundings. He discovered he was confined within a grim holding cell.

"W-What...?" Tails murmured, his eyes widening in fear.

Tails struggled to rise to his feet, only to find his body firmly restrained against one of the cold, concrete walls. His leg got held in place by a metal brace, rendering him immobile. As he explored his predicament further, Tails realized he was tightly chained to the floor, with his legs secured in braces and his wrists attached to a central point by short chains. Every attempt to break free proved futile, as the restraints were securely locked, leaving no room for escape. To his dismay, Tails also discovered a collar encircling his neck.

Nervously, Tails reached one of his chained hands up to his neck and felt the smooth surface of the collar, instantly recognizing it as an electric shock collar. There was no time to ponder the implications further as something from downstairs caught his attention, the sound of the main doors opening. Suddenly, lights illuminated the area, revealing a cluster of computer terminals and counters, with a portable glass tube positioned in the center of the room.

"P-Please, let me go! I'll give you anything! I have a family!"

Startled by the desperate cries of another prisoner, Tails pressed his ears against his head, leaning back against the wall. Soon enough, the distressed fox could hear more voices echoing from various cells in the prison block. Dr. Robotnik and Snively emerged, accompanied by two Swat-Bots restraining a male mobian cat.

"You think you can silence us, human scum!" the male cat shouted defiantly. "The Freedom Fighters won't rest until you pay for your crimes!"

Dr. Robotnik responded with a smug smirk. "Oh, I'm sure I will, just like everyone who came before you," he retorted.

With brute force, the Swat-Bots shoved the male cat into the cramped tube, sealing it shut while he continued to strike at the casing, desperate to escape the nightmare. Tails recoiled in shock and horror when he noticed Snively standing only a few feet away. A quick scan of the room confirmed the dire situation he was in.

"Well, well, it seems our former companion is finally awake, sir," Snively informed with a slight chuckle.

"Let me go!" Tails demanded, his eyes now adjusted to Snively's presence. "I haven't done anything to harm anyone. Even after creating all those Badniks, I've more than paid any debt I owed you."

Approaching the frightened fox, Dr. Robotnik wore a twisted sneer on his face. "I think not. The reports I've received about you don't please me, Miles. Are you willing to surrender and let this blue demon do as he pleases? How could you be so heartless?"

"I'm heartless for speaking my mind?! And now, because of that foolish choice, I'm chained up, waiting for someone merciless to either harm me greatly or finish me off! Tell me, what are we fighting for?!"

"I've explained it to you before! A world without pain, loss, or death!" Dr. Robotnik shook his head, staring at the restrained fox with profound disappointment.

"At what cost?!" Tails yelled angrily at the two evil humans. "How far are you willing to go?!"

For once, Dr. Robotnik seemed at a loss for words, and the room fell into complete silence, leaving Snively to interject with irritation. "Listen here, you brat! Let's put an end to this nonsense, shall we? I know you think you've got it all figured out. But if you listen-!"

"I'm not listening to you anymore! I've had enough of that. I wanted to be your friend, doctor, and this is what I get for trusting you?" Tails growled, his anger boiling over.

"Oh, but you can trust me, Miles," Dr. Robotnik whispered, his voice filled with a sinister undertone. "You truly stand out, don't you know that? Your intelligence surpasses that of all these foolish rodents around here. If you had chosen to cooperate, we could have accomplished remarkable feats together."

"Can I?" Tails retorted, skepticism evident in his voice.

"Miles, I don't want to hurt you," Dr. Robotnik scowled, realizing he could no longer persuade the fox to stay.

"You already have, doctor," Tails sighed, his expression became serious. "I don't want to assist a fat slob like you anymore."

"You will remain and assist me, Miles," Dr. Robotnik grumbled at the fox, pulling a small remote control designed for the collar from his pocket. "Now, when you do something I don't like, I get to do this...!"

A brief silence hung before Dr. Robotnik pressed his finger down. Tails made an agonizing scream as the two metal plates in the collar surged with an overwhelming electric shock. The excruciating current surged through his body, sending shockwaves of pain along his nerves, causing his body to convulse uncontrollably. Collapsing to the ground, Tails slipped into an uncomfortable unconsciousness, his body still spasming from the shock.

Frowning, Dr. Robotnik glared at the convulsing fox. "I'll teach you not to fall asleep when I'm talking to you!" he muttered, lowering the voltage on the remote control.

"GAH!" Tails screamed as the second jolt of electricity jolted him awake.

His body reacted instinctively, thrashing against the restraints in a futile attempt to escape the discomfort. However, the shock subsided, and Tails slowly lifted his gaze, fear evident in his trembling body. He glanced at the menacing figure of the bloated tyrant, dreading the prospect of more pain. Suddenly, the chains restraining him began to loosen, and he struggled to his feet, confusion evident in his eyes.

The evil genius chuckled before adopting a punishing tone. "Get up, fox."

Snively's foot struck Tails' ribs, causing him to flinch in pain. Anxious about further punishment, Tails managed to stand before his captor, his body swaying as he struggled to maintain balance in his weakened state. A Swat-Bot's metallic hand firmly gripped his shoulder, guiding his feeble form through the center of the room. As they walked through the prison block, Tails glanced sideways at the other prisoners still trapped in their cells, most of them still asleep.

"Here's the deal, I make a living offering such benefits to people. And with the Freedom Fighters doing their own thing like little pissants? Feh, they do it for free!" Dr. Robotnik explained bluntly, gesturing toward the captured male cat. "So when I hear people talking about them, I consider these tree-huggers a threat to my business."

With a mere snap of his fingers, the Robotizer sprung to life, casting a brilliant beam of light that surged within the machine, steadily rising upward. As it ascended, Dr. Robotnik's twisted grin remained firmly fixed on his face, mirroring Snively's smug expression. The unfortunate male cat felt his feet and legs transforming into solid steel.

Strange and eerie sounds reverberated throughout the room. But amidst the discordance, the agonized screams of the male cat drowned out all else. Unable to bear the harrowing cries, the young fox shut his eyes tightly and covered his ears, attempting to block out the torment. However, at Snively's command, a Swat-Bot forcibly held Tails' head upright, ensuring his eyes remained wide open while his arms were securely bound.

Gradually, the screams subsided, leaving a haunting void to permeate the atmosphere. The ascending light completed its ascent, and the creature once known as the male cat emerged from the confining platform, transformed into a robotic worker, and stripped of his former identity. The newly minted robian took steps toward Dr. Robotnik, who savored the moment with a lick of his lips and a contented sigh.

"No longer so defiant, are you?" Dr. Robotnik sneered triumphantly. "Today marks the end of your humiliation. This magnificent invention shall catapult me into the destiny I am meant to fulfill: MASTER OF ALL! Soon, all shall fear and submit to me!"

The robian, now acting autonomously, departed from the scene. And in its wake, the Swat-Bots returned, herding in a fresh batch of captive mobians. The gruesome process continued for hours, with Tails forced to watch countless innocent civilians become transmuted into lifeless steel. Each victim pleaded and begged for mercy from Dr. Robotnik. But it seemed to only amplify the sadistic pleasure he and Snively derived from their suffering. The anguished cries of the mobians would forever haunt the traumatized fox, etching themselves into his mind.

Some mobians attempted to reason and negotiate, while many were threats and intimidation. Others silently accepted their grim fates, resigned to becoming nothing more than enslaved beings devoid of hope.

Amidst the desolation, another piercing scream pierced through the air, reaching Tails' ears, a sound that belonged to a child. Overwhelmed by the cruelty unfolding before his eyes, Tails trembled uncontrollably, tears streaming down his cheeks incessantly. Helpless and trapped within the vice-like grip of the Swat-Bot, he could only watch in horror as the heart-wrenching spectacle unfolded. The portable tube finally powered down, and Dr. Robotnik, placing a hand on the distraught fox boy's shoulder, emitted a chilling squeeze, his touch oozing with spitefulness.

"Did you enjoy the spectacle?" the sadistic torturer sneered, wasting no time as his fingers toyed with the remote control. "Well, let's get straight to the rules, shall we? You will do as I say when I say it. There will be no questioning my orders. If I command you to create a device capable of obliterating cities, you will do so. If I demand the construction of a ruthless killing machine, it better annihilate its targets without fail."

"I couldn't care less if you think you have a better idea!" Dr. Robotnik declared in a chilling voice, his smile unnerving as he gestured toward the ominous portable tube before them. "I am in control here, and if you want to avoid me pressing this button again, you will obey my every command. Or perhaps I'll toss you into that Robotizer, as you've undoubtedly learned how unsafe it can be by now."

"Remember this well! I am your MASTER, and you are my SLAVE," the sadistic tyrant sneered, his tone dripping with malice. "Any deviation from my instructions, any unauthorized actions, or the slightest irritation caused to me will result in severe punishment! I had hoped it wouldn't come to this, but your insatiable curiosity has brought you to this point." His sinister smirk fixated on the trembling fox while Snively listened intently. "Do you understand?"

Miles slowly raised his gaze to his new master. "Y-Yes, M-Master...! I-I will not fail you," Tails stammered, his fear rendering him unable to speak with composure.

"Good! You shall assist in preparing my ultimate weapon against that meddling hedgehog. And I expect it to be completed within a few hours. Am I clear?" Dr. Robotnik asserted as one of his robotic minions ushered Tails along the water-filled caverns beneath the Scrap Brain Factory.

"Crystal clear," Tails muttered, uncertain how he would accomplish such a daunting task within the given time frame.

Dr. Robotnik wasted no time in entertaining any complaints from the young fox. He snapped his fingers to signal the Swat-Bot to push Tails forward. Any objections would only invite more pain and a tighter deadline, so Tails refrained from uttering a word. He was guided to a location where various mechanical components were provided. Snively barked orders to one of the Swat-Bots, ensuring constant surveillance of the young fox.

"With this weakling's assistance," Dr. Robotnik chuckled, holding a purple Chaos Emerald in his hand, "I will finally possess the means to defeat any foe that threatens the Robotnik Empire, especially that vexing blue rodent!"

And with those sinister parting words, Dr. Robotnik turned his attention to his captive, flicking the remote controls once again. A maniacal grin stretched across the round tyrant's face as Tails cried out in agony, the high voltage coursing through his body. The shock propelled the fox into a frenzied state, compelling his weary body to ignore its exhaustion and focus on the task. The reverberating echoes of Dr. Robotnik's maniacal laughter seeped through the Scrap Brain Factory, leaving an indelible mark on Tails' psyche, forever associating the laboratory with pure evil.
