Megaman Lyrical

(Old Calendar Date: Unknown, Saint's Cradle)

*ALARM-ALARM-ALARM!*

The sounds of the alarm echoed everywhere throughout the Saint's Cradle. The entire ship shook as explosions from outside rocked the ship. The sound of metal bending and breaking was heard before something dropped into the ship, its form obscured by smoke and steam. Many Knights gathered together and attacked whatever was hidden within the smoke but in the blink of an eye, arms were torn off, weapons were destroyed, and the sounds of screams echoed through the many halls of the Cradle as blood was spilled.

Robots known as Gadget Drones were deployed to stop the intruder of the Cradle but they too stood no chance. A flash of light was seen as whatever slaughtered the Knights from before moved faster than the enhanced eye can track and before the Drones could process anything, they were already in pieces.

Amongst all this chaos, a small group of Knights were escorting a woman with heterochromia eyes, her right eye bring green with her left eye being red. Well, the Knights were trying to escort the woman but said woman resisted, insisting she stay and help everyone. The Knights begged the woman to get into the pod that would allow her and others to escape the danger but the woman was persistent. She would not leave while everyone else stayed and died. This part of her was why her followers all loved her greatly. Unfortunately, the incoming danger could care less what they all felt.

The sound of metal bending and breaking was heard, making everyone stop what they were doing and stare as the metal doors were forcibly pried open by a pair of hands. The sight was unbelievable yet here it was happening right before their eyes. Once the doors were open wide enough did the cause to all the chaos on the ship reveal itself.

Machine. Mechanical. Incomplete. Not human. Those thoughts passed through the minds of everyone gazing upon the one that stood before them. The intruder was donned in armor that was machine-like in nature and design yet the way it looked made people think that the armor was incomplete, like it was only half-way finished. But seeing as this very same armor deflected every kind of magic thrown at it, they wished to not know what the armor was capable of if finished. The intruder's face was also covered, with the mouth and nose covered by a white face plate and the eyes hidden behind a visor. Both the most eye catching thing besides the intruder's hidden face is the blue triangular crystal situated at the forehead of the helmet and the long, flowing golden blond hair coming from the back of the helmet.

The intruder moved its head around, its movement machine like yet it's manner was like a preying beast. It unnerved everyone at this strange combination but when the intruder's eyes fell upon them, orbs of blue light could be made out from behind the visor as faster than anyone could blink, the mysterious intruder closed the distance between them and soon, blood was spilled.

From outside the Saint's Cradle, in outer space, another ship, this one even bigger than the royal treasure, hovered right above the ship. From within, a man who's form was hidden by shadows watched the ongoing destruction with glee in his eyes. Besides him were four other figures, also hidden by the shadows, as the only things that could be made out were the glow of their eyes, and small, blocky objects in their hands.

And so, by the hands of a God of Destruction, the death of Olivie Sägebrecht, the last Saint King, marked the end of the Saint King Unification War.

(Many Years Later)

*Pop-Pop-Pop!*

"Happy Birthday, Nanoha!"

Young Takamachi Nanoha, now six years old, smiled happily as confetti's were sent flying everywhere before her family and friends all cheered and clapped for the birthday girl.

"Make a wish, sweety." Nanoha's mother, Takamachi Momoko, said as she finished lighting up all of the candles on the cake in front of the birthday girl.

Nanoha's eyes seem to sparkle as she gazed down at her cake before she closed her eyes, made a wish in her head, and blew all of the candles in one go, getting another round of applause from the people around her.

"Here, Nanoha. A gift from both me and Suzuka." Alisa Bannings, one of Nanoha's best friends, smiled along with Suzuka Tsukimura, another one of Nanoha's friends, as they gave their friend her present.

"Alisa-chan! Suzuka-chan! Arigato(Thank you)!" Nanoha said as she happily took her present from her friends. Undoing the ribbon, she opened the box and let out a surprised gasp.

"A cell phone!?" Inside the box was a pink phone along with a charger to charge said phone whenever it would be low on battery.

"It's the latest model. It was easy to get thanks to, well you know." Alisa bragged a little. Phones were expensive but coming from a rich family, they were easy to get.

"Do you like it? Alisa and I talked with one another on what to get you for your birthday." Suzuka said.

"I love it! Thank you so much, you two!" Nanoha said as she hugged her two best friends before showing her new phone to her parents. "Otou-san! Okaa-san! Look! I got a cell phone!"

"Really now?" Nanoha's father, Takamachi Shiro, looked down and saw the phone in his daughter's hand. "Well look at that. Good for you, Nanoha. You take good care of that now, okay?"

"Hai(Yes)!" Nanoha said before going back to her friends to exchange numbers.

Hours soon flew by and soon, the party was coming to an end. At the doorsteps of her house, Nanoha and her family were saying goodbye to those that came over.

"We'll text you before bed, okay?" Suzuka said as she and Alisa were about to leave.

"Yeah! I'll text you two as well before bed!" Nanoha said.

"So, what did you wish for?" Alisa asked, talking about when the pigtailed brunette blew out the candles of her cake.

"It's a secret."

"Oh come on, you can tell us!" Alisa insisted, now even more curious.

"Well, I guess it's okay if its you two." Nanohsa said, motioning the two girls to come closer before whispering what she wished for when she blew out the candles.

...

...

...

"That's it?" Alisa said once Nanoha finished telling her and Suzuka her wish. "Nanoha, your wish is pretty vague."

"I have to agree with Alisa." Suzuka said. "Why did you wish for that exactly?"

"Well..." Nanoha rubbed the back of her head, thinking why did she make that wish. "I guess, since I'm so ordinary compared to you two is the reason why I made that wish? I feel like that's the reason."

"Oh please! We're not that different from you." Alisa insisted with Suzuka agreeing with a nod of a her head.

"Maybe," Nanoha said. "Well, anyway, thanks for coming. I'll see you two at school tomor-"

*ding!*

"Huh?" Nanoha stopped her sentence before it could finish as she looked up.

"Nanoha?" Suzuka spoke the girl's name, wondering why her friend suddenly stopped talking.

Then, for the third time today, Nanoha's eyes sparkled and widen as she pointed up into the night sky.

"Look! A shooting star!"

Hearing the girl, everyone looked up and indeed, in the distant there was a shooting star.

"Whoa~!" All three girls said as one as they looked up at the falling star in the distance.

"Hey! Make a wish! Make a wish!" Alisa prompted Nanoha. "It's not everyday you get to make two wishes on your birthday!"

Snapping out of her awe stupor, Nanoha clasped her hands together in a praying gesture and thought about what to wish for. But before she could come up with one...

"Hey," Takamachi Kyoya, Nanoha's older brother, spoke up. "Isn't that thing kind of close?"

"Huh?" Opening her eyes, Nanoha looked back up at the shooting star and noticed how it appeared bigger than it was before.

"Um, is it me, or is that thing getting closer?" Takamachi Miyuki, Nanoha's older sister, noted as the trail the falling star was leaving behind disappeared yet the bright light kept getting bigger as if heading their way.

It took a few seconds for everyone to realize that the falling star was, indeed, getting closer to them. Nanoha's father was the first to react.

"Everyone, get down!"

At that command did everyone drop to the ground as the shooting star flew right over the Takamachi house and passed it. The sound akin to a hundred missiles flying assaulted everyone's ears as the falling star flew passed them before finally, a crash followed by an explosion rocked the entire neighborhood. With ringing ears, everyone got up and checked one another to see if anyone was unhurt. Seeing as there were no problems, everyone got up to their feet and turned to where the shooting star flew towards. In the distance, one could see a pillar of smoke rising from the nearby woods.

Curiosity shot through everyone present and the first to speak was Shiro once again.

"Everyone, get in the car!"

With everyone getting into their own respective vehicles, they all drove towards where the star had fallen to. And all the while, one thought passed through young Nanoha's mind.

'My wish came true!'

As the thought kept repeating in the young girl's mind, she didn't realize that they had already arrived at the woods until Miyuki shook her out of her thoughts. Getting out and seeing that everyone else was here, they all hurried over to where the star was at, the pillar of smoke being their guiding point. In no time, they made it and what greeted them was a giant crater big enough to be a basement for a high class mansion.

"Whoa~!" Nanoha and her friends all couldn't help but say as one as they gazed at the the biggest crater they've ever laid eyes on.

"That's a big crater." Kyoya commented.

"Whatever must have fallen must be big!" Miyuki added in her own comment.

Wanting to see through the dark and smoke, Shiro turned on a flashlight he had grabbed from his car and waved it around in hopes of seeing what had crashed landed. It was at that moment did a gust of wind choose to fly through the woods and blow away some of the smoke, allowing everyone to see the shooting star is. To their surprise, a figure could be made out until a few moments later, when all the smoke finally subsided, did everyone gaze down upon a young boy.

A door was slid open as young Nanoha walked in with a bouquet of flowers. Closing the door behind her, she looked towards the boy sitting up from his hospital bed. Said boy had turned to her when he heard the door opening.

Hair as white as pure snow and eyes as deep as the ocean floor. When I gazed upon that mysterious shooting star boy, I couldn't help but think that he was very...beautiful.

Young 9 year old Nanoha and magical ferret Yuuno both stared in awe as the shooting star boy in front of them, donned in bright blue armor, was holding back the jaws of the mechanical snake that had came from the sky and attacked them. Pushing back the robot snake, the boy's left arm turned into a buster and he used it to fire back at the mechanical monster before him.

As power unlike anyone's ever seen before awakened from within that boy, did the lives of many others change forever.

Nanoha could only stand there frozen as the blond girl in front of her held her scythe up at her neck. Behind her, her friend laid their frozen on the ground as a blade of energy was held right above his neck, held by hands belonging to another blond, this one male and donned in red armor.

A power that was not magic yet held unlimited potential sat at the palms of that very boy. This power that, like him, came from the stars had the power to save many lives. Yet at the same time, it also had the power to take life as well.

Nanoha could only cover her mouth with her hands as she stared in horror and disbelief. In front of her was the blond girl crying in the rain as she held the body of her dead brother, killed by none other than her dear friend, the shooting star boy, who could only look at his shaking hands.

Emotions both touch and clash with one another. Tears are shed, blood is spilled, wills are passed on, bonds are formed, and promises are made.

Nanoha and everyone around her stares in awe at the shooting star boy at the center of the light, donned in new armor as wings of gold appear behind him. The boy makes a fist and that fist is soon covered in light as well. And once that fist struck the very ground did everything become enveloped by light.

Such a story will soon be written. New life that was never there before will effect the lives of many. Introductions, both old and new, familiar and unfamiliar, will be made. And so, the original story is changed.

Nanoha, wearing her Barrier Jacket and holding Raising Heart, stands back to back with the shooting star boy, donned in his blue armor as Model X floats around the two. The two young kids smile at one another before they both turn to the readers and smile.

"Coming Soon to Fanfiction: Megaman Lyrical."

And...done! Now the coming soon part is up for debate. I do want to do this story but to tell you truth, at the time of this chapter being written, I'm still fairly new to the Nanoha series as I just started getting into it. I know that Nanoha is one of the oldest and most popular animes out there so if it comes to a surprise that I'm just now watching the series, know that I had different tastes back when I was a kid. To be honest, the only reason I'm watching the series now is because the fact that everyone of the original cast eventually grows up caught my interest enough to give the series a shot. It's gonna take a while for me to watch everything and read some of the mangas to fill in some holes.

Now as to why I'm crossing this series with Megaman of all series is due to how young Nanoha and the others are in the beginning and power scaling. When I tried to think of what other series made little kids badasses, Megaman was the first thing to pop into my head. If we're talking about young protagonists, let's look at characters such as Lan Hikari and Geo Stelar, or Netto Hikari and Subaru Hoshikawa in Japan. Hell, even Rock, the classic Megaman, looks hella young.

As for power scaling, look no further than to Megaman X, Zero, and ZX, the latter which I'm mostly pulling from. Nanoha and the gang has magic spells in the form of lasers and bombardments. So when I thought which Megaman character could pull off similar feats or maybe even surpass it, Zero and his many techniques such as the Rekkoha instantly came into my mind. And thus, the Megaman Lyrical idea was made.

The only reason I'm even writing this is because this idea has been bothering my for a while and I needed it to get out of my head, but I still want to write this story as it is both interesting and the first of its kind. So I hope you all look forward to this story as I might just do it once I free up some space. Until then, this has been Ashbel Longhart here, signing out.
