DokiDoki Prety Cure: Trump Cards of Hope
Despite the area being a desert, the temperature was not hot. Rather, it was a bit chilly, but not unbearable. Slabs of stone can be seen sticking out from the sand. Over the horizon was the figure of what seemed to be a kingdom as a giant shadow loomed over. This shadow belong to a large black figure covered in thorns and with a kind of helmet with horns on his head. His eyes are red and he appears laughing cruelly.
Walking across the sandy plains, this is what our hero, Kennou Yuuki sees.
Yuuki is a young boy of 16 years. His dark chocolate brown hair was slightly long, reaching just past his neck as his bangs were parted to the left. He wore a grey coat over a black shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers with the solves being white. For accessories, he wore two silver rings, one on each hand of his middle finger, and a silver pendent around his neck.
"Just what is this place?" Yuuki thought out loud as he looked around. He had been dropped here by Tsukasa who only told him, 'Find the Pretty Cures.'
Pretty Cures. When he had first arrived in this world, he had learned about one of Earth's greatest heroes. A group of girls that has helped save the world time and time again, with a new team seemingly being born every year. They had started out as a myth only to be confirmed by a live broadcast some time in 2008. Following this was the discovery of another type of hero.
The Kamen Riders. To Yuuki's surprise, there have been sightings of Kamen Riders all over the world, though they were mostly seen in Japan. He was quite surprised that he had senpai's out there in the world, and that they all had teamed up with a Pretty Cure team.
'Did a new team get formed and I have to team up with them?' Yuuki thought as he climbed over a hill and looked out towards the horizon.
There was nothing, but miles upon miles of sand and ruins. The only thing in the horizon was what appeared to be a kingdom and even that appeared to be in ruins. Judging by the giant looming figure over it, Yuuki could guess why said kingdom was in ruins. But seeing as it was the only place he has seen since being dropped in this strange world, he pressed on towards the kingdom in the distance.
'Why the heck did you send me here, Tsukasa?' Yuuki thought as he greatly wished he was back at B.O.A.R.D. and in his room. He may not trust the corporation, but he didn't have anywhere else to go and the place was providing him money so he couldn't complain.
After about two hours and a half of walking, Yuuki finally made it to kingdom and like he had seen from afar, it was in ruins. Only it was worse than he thought.
"What the heck happened here?" Yuuki wondered out loud, looking around at the state of everything.
Buildings were broken down while others have completely fallen apart. Bridges either looked ready to fall apart, or already have. Fruits and items from store stands littered the ground with the former being either squashed, rotten from time, or both. The dark, gloomy skies certainly didn't help the atmosphere of the place. But the strangest thing Yuuki found was that there was no sign of people.
"All this ruin, yet there's no sign of people here." Yuuki said, picking up a discarded doll covered in dirt before looking around again. It was obvious by the giant figure above that this place had been attacked. But Yuuki had expected to see the corpses of people here. Instead, it was only barren streets.
"Is there even anyone still here?" Tossing the doll away, Yuuki cupped his hands over his mouth and shouted, "Oi~! Is anyone here?"
"Jikochu!"
"Huh?" Hearing a strange cry, Yuuki blinked before looking towards the source which was up in the sky.
"Jikochu!" Flying down from the sky was some sort of vulture creature. It had the wings, legs, and head of a vulture, but its body was weird, dark, and shaped like a heart. In fact, right on its chest was a pure black heart with bat wings.
"What the heck is that?" Yuuki wondered only to soon realize that the vulture creature was diving straight towards him!
"Whoa!" The young man cried out as he dodged to the left and barely escaped being snatched up by the creature. Rolling back to his feet, Yuuki wasted no time running away.
"Jikochu!"
"What!?" Yuuki cried out in alarm when rising from the water was a giant squid with eyes and the same bat winged heart on its forehead. It cried out as it swung one of its tentacles, almost hitting him as he was sent flying backwards and fell on his butt.
"Ite(Ow)..." Yuuki groaned, rubbing his behind as he got up before looking up to see both creatures staring down at him. He gulped nervously before quickly gathering his courage and reached for something in his coat.
"Jikochu!"
"Oh what now?" A bit irritated at this point, Yuuki looks behind him and sees a gorilla the size of a two-story house. Like the squid and the vulture, there was a black, bat-winged heart located at the stomach area. Seeing the new monster, Yuuki had only one thing to say
"...George?"
"JIKOCHU!"
"Wah!" Yuuki cried out as he jumped out of the way, avoiding the gorilla's fist. In his mind, Yuuki felt that that joke was totally worth it as he was now running away from the three giant animals. Still, there was still one thing Yuuki had to question.
"What the heck are these things!?" Yuuki cried out as he greatly wished he had his Blue Spader right about now.
*BOOM!*
"Huh?" Yuuki blinked before turning his head to see a cloud of smoke rising in the distance. Then, currents of thunder were seen dancing in the air followed by a group of screams. Yuuki wasn't the only one to notice this as all three creatures chasing him stopped and looked. Taking this chance, Yuuki quickly slipped away, hiding inside one of many abandoned houses. Calming his breath down as well as his heartbeat, Yuuki waited for the creatures chasing him to pass by him, having realized that he had escaped during their moment of pause.
After a minute or two, Yuuki stuck his head out and breathed a sigh of relief.
*BOOM!*
"Aaaaaaaaaaah!" Yuuki jumped a little when more lightning occurred followed by the sound of screams.
"Shit, this is no time to be sitting on my ass!" Getting up quickly, Yuuki ran towards where the lightning was. Judging by those screams, it was obvious someone was in trouble.
*BOOM!*
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" All four fairies screamed as they barely avoided another thunderbolt aimed at them.
"What is that thing-sharu!?"
"Is it a Jikochu-quel!?"
"Why is it attacking us-de lance!?"
"Just keep running-dabyi!"
*BOOM!*
Another thunderbolt too close for comfort sent the fairies flying and screaming. They all rolled roughly on the ground before coming to a stop. Groaning, they all looked up to see the monster that had been attacking them.
Just by looking at it, the fairies could tell that it was no Jikochu. No matter how bad a Jikochu is, they wouldn't hold a candle to the monster before them. It's height was comparable to a full grown man with arms and legs like one. But that's where the comparisons stopped as characteristics of a deer could be faintly seen. The only clue that made this known was the head that looked similar to a deer, it even had antlers. But it also had antlers around his arms with fur covering most of its arms.
The unknown monster roared, scaring the four fairies as they all huddled up, trying to stick together. But then, electricity appeared around the monster's antlers before with another roar, a bolt of lightning was sent at the fairies. They all closed their eyes for they knew that this time, they could not dodge it.
"Abunai(Watch out)!"
*BOOM!*
The lightning bolt seemingly stuck the fairies. But rolling out of the smoke, the fairies were in the protective arms of Yuuki who coughed a little before looking down at the small creatures in his arms.
"Are you all alright?"
"Yeah, thanks to you-sharu." One of the fairies said.
"That's good." Yuuki said, getting up and releasing the small creatures. "So, what are you all?"
"What do you mean-quel? We're fairies-quel."
Yuuki blinked at them. "Fairies?"
"Yeah. I'm Sharuru." A pearl pink rabbit with a large fluffy tail introduced herself. Her ears have a large hot pink heart on the bottom to match her big eyes, which have pink wing-like lashes. She also has a button nose and pink cheeks. Around her neck is a pink collar resembling a flower, and a large pink bow with with a heart shape on each side surrounding a heart medallion was wrapped around her ears.
"I'm Raquel." Next was a similar looking creature to Sharuru, except this one has soft blue fur with a large puffed tail and drooping dog ears, each with a blue diamond on the bottom. He has blue eyes with light blue curling wing-like lashes and soft pink cheeks. Around his neck was a ribbon with the tails hanging from the front, and on his head is a large blue bow with a heart medallion.
"I'm Lance." The third to introduce themselves is a pastel gold bear-like fairy with large rounded ears that have a goldenrod club shape on them, a big puffed tail, a button nose, white muzzle, and pink blushed cheeks. His vibrant orange eyes have goldenrod, downward slanted lash markings reminiscent of wings. He wears a goldenrod scalloped fabric around his neck and a headband made from four orange flowers with a silver heart medallion in the middle.
"And I'm Dabyi." The last one to introduce themselves is a lavender cat fairy with a long tail and big ears with slightly darker coloring in them. Her big amethyst eyes have purple lash-like markings that resemble Sharuru's and Raquel's but more pointed with two small bumps. Her nose is tiny and she has light violet blushed cheeks. She wears a frilly amethyst ribbon on her head with a heart medallion in the center, and a purple ruffled cloth on her neck.
"Okay." Yuuki nodded at all of their names before introducing himself. "I'm Kennou Yuuki, in case you were wondering."
"It's nice to meet you, Yuuki-de lance." Lance said.
*BOOM!*
"Whoa!" Yuuki and the four fairies all screamed in surprise, reminding them that they weren't alone. Turning to see the monster that had been attacking them, Yuuki's eyes widen when he sees who it is.
"Thunder Deer!?"
"You know that thing-dabyi?" Dabyi asked.
"Sort of." Yuuki said before his whole demeanor changed to one of seriousness. The change was so sudden that the fairies couldn't help, but jump a little.
"Stay back, all of you." Yuuki told them, moving an arm over them to protect them as he got back up to his feet, never taking his eyes off of the monster before him. Said monster must have noticed Yuuki's changed demeanor for it was looking at him cautiously.
"Category Spade Six: Thunder Deer." Yuuki identified the monster as he took out from his coat a bulky looking buckle. It was mostly silver and metallic in color with a lever on the right side of it and a clear slot in the middle. Then, he took out a card that depicted a blue rhinoceros beetle with a red spade on its back. The spade symbol was seen on two corners with a letter A symbolizing Ace under the spades. Finally, the words 'CHANGE' is seen on the side of picture while under it were the words 'Change Beetle' along with a box of text written in an ancient, unknown language.
"I don't know how you got here, but prepare to get sealed!" Yuuki said as he then slipped in the card into the lot of the buckle before letting go of said buckle.
Dabyi and the rest of the fairies watching expected the buckle to fall when Yuuki let go of it, but to their surprise, a row of red cards appeared from the buckle, wrapping around Yuuki's waist until it reached the other end of the buckle and formed a belt, securing the buckle around Yuuki's waist. Then, a pulsing sound came from the buckle as Yuuki did various movements. His left hand was by his waist, facing upward while his right hand was slowly raised over his left shoulder. He then flicked his right hand around, curling in his middle, ring, and pinkie fingers while sticking out his index finger and thumb. After that, he shouted.
"Henshin!"
Quickly, his right hand went down to pull the lever of the buckle while his left hand was raised at the same spot where his right hand was, mirroring its previous position. Once his right hand pulled the lever, the card in the buckle was flipped over, revealing a red rectangle and the golden spade suit symbol in it.
TURN UP
When the belt sudden announced that did a blue rectangle of energy come out of the buckle, depicting the same beetle that was on the card, but from Yuuki's side, he and the fairies don't see this. The energy projection surprises the four fairies behind Yuuki before they cried out in surprise when the now identified Thunder Deer suddenly attacked with more lightning. But to the fairy's surprise, the blue rectangle of energy protected them from the attack. Once Thunder Deer had ceased attacking did Yuuki run forward, entering the rectangle as if entering through a portal. Once crossing over, the fairies were once again surprised when Yuuki came out donned in armor.
Yuuki now wore a pure blue bodysuit. Covering his upper body is torso armor that was silver in color with a suit of spade at the center as the shoulder pads were flat with golden decorations on the arms and spade on the top. Gold bands were wrapped around his wrists and crisscrossed strips of metal were on the boots. Around his waist, the buckle had remained unchanged, except now, hanging on Yuuki's left side was a sword with the blade being as long as his own arm and what appeared to be some sort of storage unit built in front of the handle. Finally, his helmet was blue with a silver face and a single horn rising up, emulating a rhino beetle.
"EH~!?" All four fairies exclaimed in shock at Yuuki's transformation as the young teen continued running towards Thunder Deer who appeared stunned at Yuuki's transformation. The transformed teen did not waste this chance as he got close and delivered a strong punch to the monster's chest, sending it flying back and crashing into one of the many ruined buildings.
The display of strength surprised the four fairies again before Sharuru found her voice back and spoke in a stutter.
"W-W-W-W-What are you-sharu!?"
"Me?" Yuuki kept his eyes on where Thunder Deer crashed as he drew out from his holster the sword that had come with his transformation, the Blay Rouzer. He then turned to face the fairies and said, "I'm Blade, Kamen Rider Blade."
"Kamen Rider..." Sharuru, Raquel, and lance said at the same time.
"Blade..." Daybi finished, her eyes widening in surprise as she looked at the newly introduced Blade.
'A Kamen Rider? As in the legendary Kamen Rider? Warriors who have helped Pretty Cure battle evil time and time again?' Dabyi thought, having heard the stories from the other fairy worlds. She then found her eyes wandering to the Spade suit on Yuuki's armor and thoughts of her partner entered her mind.
"All of you, find some place to hide." Yuuki said, turning around to see Thunder Deer emerging from the rubble, roaring angrily. "It's not over yet."
Seeing the monster, Daybi nodded. "Right. Guys, this way-daybi."
Yuuki watches from the corner of his eyes the fairies hiding behind a pile of rubble. Satisfied, he turns back to Thunder Deer and takes a stance. He crotches down a little and positions his weapon in front of him before placing his left hand over the blade. Seeing this, Thunder Deer reaches behind it before pulling out two swords shaped like antlers. Now armed, Thunder Deer charges towards Yuuki who does the same, swinging his sword away form him as he charges to meet his enemy, the Undead.
Thunder Deer makes the first move, swing his right sword downward towards Yuuki's head, but the Rider ducks and moves under the attack while at the same time, slashing the Undead across his side. Thunder Deer staggers a bit form the blow to his side while Yuuki turns around and slashes the Undead across the back, sending it stumbling forward. Thunder Deer staggers a bit before it turns around, now even more angry at Yuuki. Gripping both its swords, Thunder Deer closes the distance and swings both its swords down, but Yuuki raises his own and blocks both blades. But this is what the Undead wants as from his antlers, sparks of electricity form before they travel down to his swords, coating them with electricity before they start to shock Yuuki, making him cry out in pain as sparks fly off his armor, making him stumble back.
With electricity still coating his swords, Thunder Deer attacks again, swings his swords at Yuuki who now has to avoid touching them lest he suffer his previous experience. He ducks under the first swing before quickly jumping back to avoid the second sword. Taking a chance, Yuuki goes in and swings his Rouzer at the Undead, aiming for its chest, only for the blade to be stopped by Thunder Deer crossing both its swords together, catching the blade before it could hit him while at the same time, send another current of electricity that shocked Yuuki painfully. Sparks flew off of Yuuki's armor again before the Undead kicked him away, sending him down to the ground.
The fairies watching the fight gasped.
"Oh no! He's hurt-lance!" Lance said, greatly worried for Yuuki.
"We've got to help him-sharu!" Sharuru said, going out to help, but was pulled back by Daybi.
"Idiot! It's too dangerous-daybi!"
"But he's getting really hurt out there-sharu!"
"Don't worry about me!" Yuuki, having heard the fairies, shouted over to them as he gets back up. "This is nothing." He then turns his Blay Rouzer around into his left hand, holding it in reverse before grabbing the side and fans out a deck of cards. Most of them were black, depicting a picture of chains. The only ones that weren't blank were three cards: Spade 2-Slash Lizard, Spade 4-Tackle Boar, and Spade 5-Kick Locust. Picking the second one out of the three, Yuuki then slashes it across the scanner of his Rouzer.
TACKLE
After that announcement, a hologram image of the Tackle Boar appeared from the card before said card seemingly vanished when in actuality, it went back into the Rouzer. The hologram was then absorbed into Yuuki and he takes the same stance he assumed in the beginning. Then, suddenly, his entire form starts to steam before he charges straight towards Thunder Deer. Seeing this, the Undead sends a bolt of thunder at him, but it does little to slow Yuuki down as he charges through the bolt, gritting his teeth until he rams right into Thunder Deer, sending it flying back.
"He got it-quel!" Raquel cheered.
"Yeah, but I think he just made it even angrier-de lance." Lance pointed out with a bit of nervousness.
Like Lance had said, while damaged, Thunder Deer got back up, glaring angrily at Yuuki. He throws away his swords in a fit of rage and roars before suddenly, sparks of lightning erupted from his antlers, sending thunderbolts everywhere. Surprised, Yuuki hurriedly dodged as best he could while using his sword to deflect any bolts, but ended up getting hit a few times.
"Wah!" All the fairies cried out when a couple of thunderbolts hit a bit too close to them.
"Oh no!" Seeing them, Yuuki quickly runs over to them and uses his body to cover them and just in time as three thunderbolts ended up hitting him.
The fairies cry each time a thunderbolt struck Yuuki, but he gritted through the pain until Thunder Deer finally calm down. Looking up, the fairies saw Yuuki panting a little, but still held up.
"You protected us-quel?" Raquel said.
"Why-dabyi?" Dabyi asked, surprised at Yuuki's selflessness.
Under his helmet, Yuuki smiles before saying, "Do I need a reason to save a life?" This response surprises the fairies as Yuuki gets back up to his feet, and turns to glare at the Undead.
(BGM: Kamen Rider Blade OST-Kakusei)
"Now you've done it." Yuuki said, pointing his Rouzer at Thunder Deer. "You shouldn't have gotten them involved. Because now...my power is at its peak!"
Brandishing his Rouzer, Yuuki charges at the Undead. Seeing him coming, Thunder Deer sends out more thunderbolts. Despite moving so fast, Yuuki leaps into the air before the first bolt could hit him, causing everyone to look up at him as he comes down towards Thunder Deer and swings his sword downward.
*SLASH!*
The Category Spade Undead cries out in pain when Yuuki manages to slice off one of its antlers, making it unable to conduct any more electricity. The fairies cry out in surprise at this as Yuuki continues his attack, somehow stronger than he was before. He slashes Thunder Deer across the chest twice before he blocks a punch from the Undead and quickly uses the guard of his Rouzer to punch Thunder Deer back. Staggering back, Thunder Deer stumbles to one of his discarded antler swords and picks it up before using it to block another attack from Yuuki. It pushes the Rider back before slashing downward, using both hands to generate more power, but its attack gets easily blocked by Yuuki's Rouzer as he uses his free hand to punch Thunder Deer's exposed chest, sending it stumbling back before swinging its sword again. Yuuki counters being swinging his own sword upward, knocking the antler sword out of Thunder Deer's hands. Yuuki then slashes the Undead once across the chest before he spins around and kicks it back, sending it to the ground.
With the Undead knocked back, Yuuki quickly fans out his card holder with one Blank Card flashing. He ignores it and goes for the Kick Locust, taking it and slashing it across the scanner.
KICK
The hologram of Kick Locust was absorbed by Yuuki while the card returns back to the Rouzer. Yuuki's body steams again with power as he swings his arms from side-to-side before slowly raising his Blay Rouzer upwards and then stabbing it down into the ground. Thunder Deer gets back up, but Yuuki's already on the move as he leaps high into the air for all to see. Flipping over, he tucks his left leg in and extends his right foot out. An invisible aura of power surrounds his right foot and he kicks down towards Thunder Deer who was too late to block the kick as it connects with its chest and sends it flying back. It then exploded...literally.
*BOOM!*
The fairies cry out in surprise when the Undead explodes before looking back up to see Yuuki land safely on the ground.
(BGM End)
"He won-sharu!" Sharuru and the others cheered happily.
"That was so cool-quel/lance!" Both male fairies cry out, their inner boy screaming as their eyes sparkle at Yuuki. Both Sharuru and Dabyi look at them and mutter, "Boys."
"It's not over yet." Yuuki said, getting the fairies to stop cheering. Looking towards the flames, they can see the body of Thunder Deer, still intact and from the groan it let out, still very much alive.
"It's still alive after that-dabyi!?" Dabyi said, shocked that such a monster survived exploding.
"Nobody move." Yuuki said, his demeanor still serious which causes the fairies to be still and alert.
Looking into the flames, Yuuki looks at the Undead's body, more specifically, its Ouroboros Buckle. Literally a second later, it splits open, revealing a 6 and what category the Undead belongs to. Seeing this, Yuuki goes over to his Rouzer and removes it from the ground. Fanning out his cards once more, he pulls out a Proper Blank Card and flicks it towards the Undead. Once it touches the body, the Undead was then sucked into the card completely before the card flies back into Yuuki's waiting hand. Looking at his newly sealed Undead, Yuuki can't help, but smile as his demeanor finally relaxes.
"At least now I can do combos." Yuuki says to himself before putting the card into his Rouzer.
Seeing that the danger was now over, the fairies moved out from the hiding place and approach the Rider cautiously. Yuuki sees this and does his best to look harmless.
"Hey, come on now. I don't bite." Yuuki said, putting his Blay Rouzer back in its holster. He then reaches down to his belt buckle and pulls the lever, flipping the center around to reveal the 'Change Beetle' card before he removes it. Once he does, the same blue rectangle from before appears and passes through him, revealing Yuuki without his armor.
"See? Harmless."
"How did you do that-quel? I've never seen anything like that-quel." Raquel asked.
"It's thanks to these bad boys." Yuuki said, displaying his Blay Buckle and Change Beetle card before stashing them away in his coat. "Anyway, are any of you hurt?"
"We're fine, thanks to you-de lance." Lance said, expressing his gratitude.
"That's good." Yuuki said with a smile.
"Hey." Suddenly, Dabyi speaks up, getting Yuuki's attention. "Are you really a Kamen Rider-dabyi?"
"You know what I am?" Yuuki raised an eyebrow, surprised that the fairy knew what he is.
"Of course I do! Every fairy from all worlds know about the legendary warriors that help Pretty Cure-dabyi!" Dabyi said, a bit excited, but can you blame her? She was meeting with a real live Kamen Rider! She and Makoto had heard the stories, but to think one would appear before her!
"Uh, Dabyi?" Sharuru spoke up as she and the other fairies looked confused. "What's a Kamen Rider-sharu?"
"Right, you three never got to learn since you guys were just recently born-dabyi." Daybi said. "Then allow me to explain-"
"Um, I'm sorry for interrupting, but I don't think this is a good place to talk." Yuuki said.
"Right." Dabyi said, wanting to smack herself for being careless. "We better move before any Jikochu show up. No doubt they heard the commotion from your fight-dabyi."
"Do you have any place in mind?" Yuuki asked as he picked up the four fairies and soon started moving, his pace similar to jogging.
"We were heading towards the Trump Kingdom palace before that monster attacked us-sharu." Sharuru said.
"Trump Kingdom?" Yuuki raised an eyebrow at that before looking around. "Is that what this place is called?"
"That's right-quel." Raquel said before asking, "You didn't know-quel?"
"I was kind of dropped here by...someone I know." Yuuki really didn't know what to think of Tsukasa so he just settled for that. "What happened here anyway?"
"Well, since you saved us, it's only right that you know-dabyi. And since you're a Kamen Rider, that means you really need to know this-daybi." Daybi said.
And so as Yuuki took the fairies to the palace, they told him everything. About the Trump Kingdom and what happened to it. About King Jikochu and how he was encased in stone by the kingdom's rulder, Queen Marie Ange. And about their partners, the DokiDoki Pretty Cure.
And done! This turned out longer than I expected, but I'm not complaining. Merry Christmas fellow readers and authors! I hope you all enjoyed this special preview of my crossover idea of Dokidoki Pretty Cure and Kamen Rider Blade. This is one of many crossovers I have planned for and something a few of you have been requesting me of. So for this Christmas, I decided to write up this small preview. There might be changes when I finally get to the actual story, but it'll mostly look like this. The only problem I have with this is my character, Kennou Yuuki. His personality was a bit bland for my taste so hopefully, I think of something better for him once I get to this story. Also, if you didn't figure it out, Yuuki's name is literally spelled: 'Ken no Yuki' which means Sword of Courage. Guess where that came from.
