Fate Grand Order: Over Quartzer
The world...is dead. There was no other way to describe it. The lands, once filled with life, was no more. Scorched earth and ruins long since destroyed was all that remained with flames lapping the earth as if to lick away any remains of life itself. The sky, once a beautiful blue, now a dull grey to the point one couldn't even tell if it was cloudy or not. It was as if life itself had been destroyed...and that is exactly what happened.
Gaia, the will of the Earth itself, was no more. The fact that the planet was in the state it is in now was proof of this impossible truth. And as for Alaya, the collective unconscious will of mankind? Weakened to the point it was barely worth mentioning. Of course, with Gaia now gone, so too was her influence over the world. This, of course, means Magus from all over the world should be able to utilize their Magecraft to the extent one should be capable of performing arts bordering on True Magic. And with Gaia's influence gone, the secret of Magecraft should no longer have to be kept secret. So then, why is the world still like this?
That answer lies, believe it or not, in one man.
*Crunch-Crunch-Crunch*
With footsteps that seem to echo throughout the wasteland, the one responsible for all of this stood before a set of statues all gathered around in a circle surrounding one bigger monument. Each statue except the center one depicted a masked hero with each being different from the other. But even with their differences, there was one thing they all had in common amongst them; they all wore belts around their waists, each one different yet serving the same purpose. As for the center statue the others were surrounding, it was a monument depicting two young teenagers, a male, and a female. Like the masked heroes, the male too wore a belt around his waist as he posed about to transform. As for the female, she was dressed like a knight as she held a massive shield bigger than herself, raising the shield as if to protect the male beside her. Down below, a plaque read:
Commemorating The First Transformation Of Fujimaru Ritsuka Alongside His Most Trusted Ally Ma—light
The rest of the plague could not be made out due to what appears to be a bullet hole. It could be noted that the man standing before the monument seems to grow angry at the sight of this, not because it had been ruined, but because of where the bullet hole was at. Taking a deep breath, the man then looks up at the statue depicting him during his younger years and his beloved kohai—
*BANG!*
It seems even after he choked the life from Gaia, the world still somehow found the guts to test his patience. Perhaps it was Alaya's doing? A form of rebellion against him? It would seem he needed to teach it a lesson once again that such actions were futile.
"Shi—!" The sniper that had tried to shoot him couldn't even finish his curse as the bullet which hadn't even reached a meter to him was sent back, blowing out the brains of the sniper. Soon after the sniper was shot did all hell break loose.
"CHARGE!"
A huge, almost deafening cry was nearly drowned out by the sounds of vehicles as behind the man was a massive army of one million, consisting of both men and women. Some chose to run on foot, others riding jeeps, motorbikes, tanks, or flying through the skies in jets and battleships. Some looked like they knew what they were doing, others not so much yet they still fought. Equipped with guns and explosives, it was painfully obvious what the massive army was after; his head.
The man showed no sign of turning around. He was too busy staring up at the statue before him. The small, inconvenience behind him did not require his attention. He'll address them when he'll feel like it. So until then...
*snap*
*SHINE!*
With a snap of a finger, eleven pillars of light suddenly shined down from above, piercing through the grey sky as if coming down from Heaven itself as the massive army was forced to a stop as the lights died down, revealing eleven figures standing in between the man and the army. Instantly, one could tell that the eleven figures standing before everyone was not human.
Suddenly, the man, while still turning his back to the army, speaks.
"Artoria Alter." A jet black sword is gripped firmly, ready to be used.
"Emiya Alter." A pair of guns were cocked, readied to be fired.
"Nagao Kagetora." Spears and swords were stabbed into the ground, ready to be wielded.
"Medusa." The cry of a neighing horse is heard before a pair of hands calms the winged beast.
"Nitocris." A scepter slams down on the ground as the gates of the underworld open up, ready to claim souls.
"Shuten Dōji." A cup of sake is brought to a pair of lips as gleeful eyes send chills down the armies backs.
"Lu Bu Fengxian." An indescribable growl is heard as a halberd is swung around.
"Jeanne Alter." A flag bearing the image of a dragon flaps in the wind.
"Sesshōin Kiara." A sultry giggle echoes through the wind, causing something to change within the army.
"Abigail Williams." A giant key is held at the ready as tentacles are heard moving from behind.
Finally, after addressing all his Servants was the final verdict declared.
"...Deal with them."
"Yes, Master!" As one, all the Servants minus the Berserker spoke. Magic flared, the eleven Servants faced the army attempting to harm their Master...and true hell broke loose.
*BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!*
In less than a second, guns were fired which soon turned to screams. Vehicles were flipped over, jets and planes were shot down, men and women were either sliced, shot, incinerated, vaporized, and/or crushed. It was a slaughter. Despite outnumbering them 100000 to 1, the army, the Resistance, found themselves on the losing end. It didn't matter what was thrown; bullets, knives, rockets. Magic soon came into play and even then it was in vain. Fire, wind, water, earth, magic took on different forms and in this age where Gaia's influence was no more, the power should have been staggering. But in the end, that too was futile against the likes of Heroic Spirits.
[TIME MAZINE]
Suddenly, stepping into the fray was what could only be described as robots. Standing over 7 meters tall, these mechs towered over the Servants. In this age of strife, technology had advanced even further...but even that was useless in the face of overwhelming power.
With a grunt, the jet black sword of a knight erupted into dark energy, becoming as big as the mechs over her before the altered King of Knights swung her sword down, sending forth what could only be described as a giant sword beam, destroying anything in the knight's path.
The sound of gunfire was heard as bullets pierced the hull of the mechs. Seconds later, swords of all shapes and sizes exploded from within the mechs, killing the pilot from the inside. Not even batting an eye, the gunman continued to fire, shooting down the enemies before him.
The sound of a horse cry was heard as the self-proclaimed avatar of Bishamonten mounted her trusty steed and faced the opposition in front of her. Wielding all eight of her great weapons, she struck down both men and mechas around her, all the while smiling as she did so.
From up in the air, another hose cry was heard as the flapping of wings was the only warning anyone got as what could only be described as a star descended upon the earth and proceeded to run down anything in its path.
Muttering words of power, what appears to be a giant mirror carried by the guardian of the underworld, Anubis, seemingly manifests behind the pharaoh. With a wave of her sceptre, a wave of ghosts bursts from the mirror, passing through anyone and anything. Soon after, both man and machine fell to the ground, their souls stripped from their body.
With an innocent giggle, the oni tips her sake cup over, letting a drop spill onto the land. Soon after did that single drop become a poisonous wave that washed away and killed anything it touched. The oni herself watched this all with a smile as she drank her own cup of poison.
With a roar akin go thunder, a giant bow was slammed down before the halberd was loaded, acting as an arrow. Pulling back the bow with great strength, the string was released, sending the halberd flying as it flew through the air, arced back down to the ground, and proceeded to explode with the force of god itself.
A vicious smile sends dread done the many spines of people as the fearsome Dragon Witch drew her sword out and swung it. A wave of flame surged forth, incinerating those the flames caught. And those that somehow survived found themselves skewered by spears of darkness before being set ablaze. It was like a scene out of hell.
A sultry laugh echoes throughout the battlefield as white hands slither up from the ground, grabbing anyone it could touch. Struggle as they might, men and women could only scream as they forcibly dragged into Heaven's Hole, forever lost.
From the keyhole, an eye is seen staring through it. A 'gate' is soon opened and thousands of tentacles burst out from it, slithering out as it grabbed anyone and anything it could reach. By the time the people found themselves dead, it was already too late.
In this age of strife, both magic and science has reached a whole new level, evolved to the point enacting miracles was as easy as turning on a light switch...and even then, it was all useless before those that killed miracles. After all, just because humans were now stronger due to Gaia's influence being no more, doesn't mean it wasn't the same for the Servants. They too benefitted from Gaia's death, not to mention that they had been properly trained and groomed by their Master over the years. Let's not even mention how being contracted to their Master was increasing their parameters through the roof.
Finally finished with looking at the monument, the ruler of this world turns around to the slaughter happening behind him and soon flicks his hand out.
The effect was instant. Everyone and everything, to the people and the very wind itself, had frozen still. Time had been stopped. The only thing not frozen were the Servants as they all retreated back to their Master where everyone could finally see him in all his regal glory.
Garbed in a black bodysuit, a silver wristwatch strap went down from beneath his neck, over his chest and down stopping right above the knees. Another strap, this one golden, was wrapped around him starting from his left shoulder and wrapped all the way around. On his back were two silver clock hands pointed downward and acting as some sort of cape. To his right was the hour hand and to his left was the minute hand. Black and golden armor covered his upper torso and shoulders with grey metal pocket watch-like devices attached to the right side, acting as if they were medals. Wrapped around his arms were golden bands as on his forearms were golden strap holders with two circular slots in each of them. Golden kneepads protected his knees as his lower legs were donned in armor boots with golden steel toes with the boots themselves being mostly black and gold. Covering his entire head was a clock-like helmet. Small diamonds were embedded into a golden frame which surrounded a black faceplate. Three small subdials were located right above the forehead with two gold clock hands pointed out on the front of the helmet with the hour hand pointed to the left while the minute hand was pointed to the right. A white logo located on the forehead read 'Kamen' in katakana while the visor read in red, flaming letters 'Rider' in katakana. Finally, around the man's waist was a golden belt buckle device with a digital screen in the center as the year '2018' was displayed in red.
This man right here is known as Oma Zi-O, the Demon King of space and time, and the Overlord who ruled over the world with an iron fist.
With a gesture the eleven Servants he had called upon took their leave, vanishing as if they had never been there.
The man's red 'eyes' then scanned the scene before him. What had once been an army of one million, about half the world's current population the last time he checked, had been reduced to a measly number ranging in the hundreds. Despite the chaos, his Servants had been thorough and to his pleasure, not a single thing, from a bullet to an explosion, had so much as gotten close to either him or the monument behind him. Compared to the ruined and charred ground around him, the area around Oma Zi-O was left untouched and undisturbed.
Finally, he decided to grace the people with his voice.
"You fools cannot possibly defeat me. Do you know why?" His voice was powerful and baritone, sending chills down everyone's spine. He then clenched his hand into a fist, sending out a wave that struck everything around him. Anything touched by the wave disintegrated into nothing, machines and people alike.
"Tsukuyomi!" Reacting quickly, a man pushed a girl no older than 17 into a nearby ditch, just barely saving her before the man was struck by the wave and disintegrate into nothing right before the girl's eyes. Many more shared his fate as any survivors were only saved due to either being in a lucky position or through the aid of friends and families. Whatever had been left of the army after fighting his Servants had been reduced to an amount numbering in the double digits now. To those that survived, Oma Zi-O spoke up again, finishing what he had been saying.
"Because I was born to be king!"
*Beep!*
With a single touch of the screen, the video recording paused. The girl who had been saved earlier, Tsukuyomi, was now dressed in a white dress with a cape of the same color over it, black stockings, and white shoes.
Rewinding back until the video showed a closeup of Oma Zi-O's face, she turned to the people with her, showing them the recording.
The first as a young man of age 18. He has black, unkempt hair and blue eyes, wearing a black shirt and pants with a white blazer over the shirt. Over his right hand were three red Command Seals, depicting his status as a Master.
Next to him was a girl, seemingly two years younger than the male next to her, with lilac hair and wearing rectangular framed glasses over lavender colored eyes. She is also wearing a grey hoodie over a black shirt over a white-collar shirt, a red tie, a black skirt and tights, and brown shoes.
With the two teens were two adults, a man with light orange hair and dressed like a doctor and a woman who bears a striking resemblance to the famous Mona Lisa painting.
"This is..." Romani Archaman stared in disbelief at what they had been shown while Da Vinci next to him merely covers her mouth, deep in thought.
"Senpai..." Meanwhile, Mashu Kyrielight looks at the teen next to her in worry, wondering what he was thinking as Tsukuyomi spoke up.
"This is Oma Zi-O, the most evilest and sinister Demon King who rules over Space and Time," Tsukuyomi said before adding in, "Fujimaru Ritsuka, this is you in 50 years."
Young Fujimaru Ritsuka looks at the screen in front of him in disbelief, staring at the man the woman in white claimed he would become in the future. His response?
"Huh?"
And...done! Sorry about that, forgot to put in my afterthoughts. Anyway, this turned out better than I hoped. There wasn't much Oma Zi-O action in this, but then again, I'm sure all of you, or at least most of you, know just how powerful strong the Overlord is. And this Overlord has Servants at his beck and call, making him even more dangerous than the canon Oma Zi-O. And on to the matter of Zi-O...
Personally, I'm gonna miss Zi-O. It wasn't the best show, I'll admit that considering the number of plot holes and changes made to the show, but it had a lot of potential(one I plan not to waste with this crossover idea) and what I really enjoyed were the characters. The actors themselves all got better as the show progressed, Tsukasa was just a badass all the way till the end, and who can forget about hype man Woz? Really, I think it was the characters themselves that kept me invested.
Now as for the reason why I picked Fate Grand Order for this crossover idea, I was actually inspired by another author's Zi-O idea and it got me thinking, 'What would it be like if Oma Zi-O had Servants?' Safe to say, such an idea just made the Demon King even scarier. Really, with the way I've written this guy, he's practically unbeatable. But anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this little idea I put together. With Zi-O having recently ended, we now step into the Reiwa era of Kamen Riders. I don't about you, but I'm excited to see just what Zero-One brings to the table.
But until then, this has been Ashbel Longhart here, signing out.
