Hello dudes, possibly dudettes, and other things. This will be the chapter before the Mandalorian arc in the clone wars. Now I would like to introduce another ship from time of the old republic, possibly a Centurion-class battlecruiser, if anyone has played kotor 2 think of the Ravager, maybe an Interdictor-class cruiser, a CR-12 which is the precursor to the CR-90, the larger Old Republic Hammerhead, or another Harrower. If anyone has any other suggestions of any old republic ships they would like to see please send me a message or write a review. I'll put up a poll later, now on to some of the few reviews I got from the last chapter.

M1stymix pretty much stated that I missed a few senators, one being Garm Bel Iblis, someone I forgot about but was in the force unleashed and a few of the old 'legends' comics. To be blunt I was not going to list off every senator that isn't corrupt as there are probably a few hundred of them. Plus, there are more than two thousand senators, but weirdly there are only one thousand and twenty-four repulsion pods. Maybe some senators have to double up? As for the Hiraishin, who is to say Naruto didn't mark Aurra? Plus she was the only one Naruto actually touched.

No Stonepotrice, Naruto will not be training the younglings, and there is still a record of Naruto's banishment from Pantora.

Otsutsuki no Yami, I do agree that Palpatine does not compare to many of the old Sith Lords, but he isn't the worst. Now, why the Jedi couldn't sense the Sith Lord is that the 'Sith temple' underneath the Jedi Temple which was really a shrine, wasn't fully cleansed of the dark side and was radiating dark side energy. I'm pretty sure in legends Palpatine used that to cloud their minds. I could be very wrong.

Ch.11 Old Relics.

-Krayiss System, Krayiss II, Four Days later-

Naruto sat in an isolated meditation chamber in the Hailstorm recalling the past. His sabers were deconstructed and the pieces were orbiting him like planets would a star. He and his men had been called to rescue a young captain and his men who had gotten in over their heads hunting pirates and criminals. Though Naruto wasn't focused on his mission, he was remembering his early years as a Jedi.

-Flashback, Ossus 4,127 BBY, Three years after Naruto became a Jedi.-

"Be patient young Uzumaki, for if you assemble your saber incorrectly, it may explode in your hand." Said Ood Bnar watching the young man struggle to piece together his saber.

"Yes Master." Naruto replied as he slowed down.

"Your crystal is the heart of your saber and is an extension of yourself, reach out and feel it. Listen to what it has to say and you will succeed."

Naruto followed his Master's instruction and reached out to his Pontite crystal and after a few minutes he felt the peaceful aura of the crystal. It was the first time in three years that he felt truly at peace.

"Ah I see you feel the calming effects of the Pontite crystal, continue to listen to it and this process will become easier." Said Bnar.

Naruto slowly pieced together his saber, which was a simple single bladed hilt that had a wooden grip. It took a few more minutes but his saber was finally complete. Naruto switched on his saber showing a silver blade.

"Huh, it's been many years since I have seen a saber with a silver blade. Now go and get ready for our mission to Alderaan."

"What's the mission Master?" asked Naruto switching off his saber and clipping it to his belt.

"There seems to be a diplomatic issue between the ruling party and a corporation, we have been requested to arbitrate the talks they have. Please do your best to not cause any trouble."

"I make no promises Master, trouble seems to find me wherever I go." Said Naruto.

-End flashback-

-Sir, we've arrived at Captain Tarkin's last known location.-

"Any distress beacons?"

-Yes sir, there are multiple beacons on the planet below.-

"Tell Markus and Gaz to assemble the First Assault Battalion and the Third Armor Company. See if you can make contact with anyone from Captain Tarkin's group."

-Yes Sir.-

Naruto opened his eyes and reassembled his sabers. Naruto switched them on bathing the surrounding area in a golden light. Satisfied, Naruto switched them off and walked out of the meditation chamber. Almost immediately after he stepped out alarms started blaring. Naruto vanished in a flash of light and appeared in the bridge.

"What is the situation?" Naruto asked.

"We are being swarmed by pirates, small crafts and medium to small freighters sir." Answered the bridge officer.

"Launch all fighters, have them protect the fleet, and send a message to the closest fleet to report our location." Said Naruto.

"Yes sir!" Naruto walked up to the viewport to see the incoming pirates.

To the pirate's credit, they had an absurd amount of small craft and around thirty freighters.

"I can see why Tarkin had some trouble, but we are not in an Arquitens-Light Cruiser." Said Naruto as watched his ships deploy their complement of V-19s, which his two Venators each carried one hundred and ninety-two, and his Harrower carried around ninety-four. So, in total he had four hundred- and seventy-eight-star fighters streaming out of his ships, and that wasn't even counting the bombers and landing craft.

Naruto was joined on the bridge by his younger Padawan Rem, who looked nervous.

"Calm yourself Rem, if you are not of sound mind when facing a problem, you will tend to make mistakes." Said Naruto as he watched his men start to decimate the poorly trained pirates.

"Yes Master, though you sound like you are talking from experience." Said Rem

"Indeed I am, there were many a times that I rushed into a fight or problem full of emotions and to be honest I should have died many times because of that. Many times after said mistakes, I was scolded and disciplined by my teachers and Masters." Said Naruto, fondly remembering his old teachers, though he was interrupted by the bridge officer.

"Sir, we are getting a comms signal from the surface, it seems like Captain Tarkin stirred up a hornet's nest."

"Put him through."

-You have my thanks for drawing away their air support, may I know the name of the person who has come to me and my men's rescue?-

"Well, Captain I am Naruto Uzumaki, what is the status of your forces?"

-My ships are destroyed and half of my men are either dead or injured and the remaining pirates have faltered now that they have no air cover.-

"Lieutenant, send some fighters down to cover Captain Tarkin and prepare the landing force. I will join you on the ground soon Captain." Said Naruto switching off his commlink while turning away from the viewport, and walked off the bridge with Rem following close behind.

-Hailstorm's forward hanger bay-

Naruto stepped on to a gunship with a scantily clad woman riding a tornado painted on the side. He shook his head slightly amused at his men's choice of fuselage decoration.

Rem stepped on as the doors closed and sent a questioning look her Master's way.

"It's nothing Rem, my troops during the old republic had something similar painted on their ships." Said Naruto while signaling the pilot to take off.

"Ok….Master I have a question about the attack on your planet." Said Rem watching the smile vanish from her Master's face.

"What do you want to know?"

"You said the Sith attacked your planet, but when I looked into the history around the time of the attack, the only mention of any notable Sith around that time was Freedon Nadd. Even then he was long dead before your home was attacked. How is that possible?"

"Well…. The reason is that the Jedi at the time simply thought the attacking force was a rouge group of dark siders, and I believed that as well until I found out otherwise many years later. Apparently Valkorion had become aware of my people's existence and had dispatched a few Sith Lords plus their followers to eradicate my people. It ended poorly for both them and my people as only a handful of the Sith escaped, and I was the only survivor of my race. I learned later from a captured Sith Lord that Valkorion had punished the survivors of the assault harshly, but did not kill them as he had lost enough of his forces." Said Naruto.

"Why isn't that in the archives Master?"

"A lot of things were lost when the Library on Ossus was destroyed, and many who remembered the events were lost when the Jedi were almost wiped out by Revan, Malak, and the Sith Triumvirate. I also assume that when the temple was sacked, what little we had recovered had been lost again."

"Why haven't you restored what has been lost to the temple?"

"I have brought back some lost knowledge, but some things are best left lost and forgotten."

"Sir, we are thirty seconds out." radioed the pilot.

Naruto unclipped his saber from his belt and held it at the ready, Rem mirrored her Master and when the doors of the gunship opened, she ignited her green bladed saber.

As soon as the gunship landed on the cold desolate planet she was immediately on the defensive, blocking and redirecting blaster bolts back at the pirates who shot at her. When all the clones from her gunship were into cover, she dashed towards the nearest pirate and disarmed him quite literally with a quick slash while flipping over him. She used the now screaming pirate as a springboard and launched herself towards another pirate who she bisected with a wide upper slash. She landed and did a quick half spin while flicking her saber up killing the last pirate near her. She looked around for her Master and saw him in the middle of a group of pirates manhandling all of them. He was not using his saber at all, but he was tearing them apart with his bare hands and that was slightly terrifying to her. She had never seen anyone dispatch armored enemies with their bare hands with such speed and ease.

Rem rejoined the fight quickly cutting down a nearby pirate who was about to execute a downed trooper. She stood defensively over the clone who was weakly reaching for his blaster. She and the trooper were surrounded by a few pirates who all had a mixture of blasters and melee weapons. She reflected blaster bolts and cut down pirates who dared to get too close, while the injured clone fired off a shot every once and a while taking out a pirate. This went on until the remaining pirates were gunned down by a group of clones who had just arrived in a gunship.

With the danger averted for the moment Rem turned her attention to the injured trooper that she had been defending and started to give him first aid. She regrettably didn't know how to heal though the use of the force yet and she was kicking herself for not listening about it back when she was still a youngling. She stayed with the trooper until a medic arrived and took over. She then followed a group of clones, who had just arrived, to where she guessed her Master had gone.

When she found her Master, she saw that he was holding a republic officer off the ground by the front of his uniform and from the yelling she was hearing Naruto was verbally tearing the officer apart. She also saw that the republic security forces that she guessed that were with the officer were aiming their weapons at her Master while Markus, Mouse, Gaz, and a few other clones had their weapons aimed at the security force. When Rem got closer to Naruto, she could start to hear what her Master was saying to the defiant looking officer.

"So you put your men in danger and lost all of your ships because you didn't want to retreat and plan a better attack or request reinforcements, is that correct Captain Tarkin?"

"If you want to see it that way, then yes, I didn't want to retreat because if I had, the pirates would have left the system to set up a new base of operations. So I decided to strike the pirates hard and fast. I miscalculated how many ships and personnel that they had."

"Your Pride and stupidity will be the end of you someday, you could have easily dropped out of hyperspace behind the planet's moon away from any sensors that the pirates had and observed their movements until backup arrived." Naruto took a deep breath and then continued. "You are lucky that your punishment for your major fuckup is not up to me, otherwise, I would strip you of your rank for incompetence and assign you to the lowest position possible that the republic has."

"Duly noted General Uzumaki, though I would like to inform you that I am on a mission under the direct authority of the Supreme Chancellor. Perhaps you could assist me while my crew is sent away for medical treatment?" said Tarkin not showing any fear about being manhandled by the tall Jedi.

Naruto was silent for a second, all around were anxious to see what would happen next.

Naruto slowly lowered Tarkin back to the ground and released him. "Possibly, what was your mission?"

"There have been reports of a strange structure on this planet that interests Chancellor Palpatine. Many of these reports are of people going missing in this strange structure. I was dispatched to investigate and report my findings. On the way here I received reports of pirates in the system and decided to hunt them down so they would not be a nuisance in my investigation. The rest you already know." Said Tarkin while straightening his uniform.

"Very well, I will help you, but you are to follow my instructions to the letter, note this isn't anything to do with rank. This is about survival as we are in the system ruled by the Sith in what they called their 'Golden Age', and have been in every Sith faction since then. This structure may be one of theirs and if it is it will be deadly."

"Understood General Uzumaki." Said Tarkin not looking too pleased.

Naruto began barking orders to his men to gather their dead and wounded. Tarkin looked questioningly at Naruto but Naruto waved the much younger captain off and also called for transport for himself, Tarkin, Rem, Markus, Gaz, and six other troopers.

"If I may general, why are we only taking a small group to this structure?"

"As I said before, this was a Sith controlled planet and if this is one of their structures, you better believe that they would have built some nasty traps to keep out unwanted guests. So it's best to have a small controllable group rather than have my whole legion of troopers bumbling around setting off traps and getting killed in large numbers." Said Naruto as the group loaded onto the gunship that Naruto called for.

"Master, why is Mouse staying behind?" asked Rem as the gunship lifted off.

"Scans show that the Structure is mostly underground, and she is slightly claustrophobic due to an incident during one of our raids against the Sith three and a half thousand years ago." Said Naruto catching Tarkin's attention.

"Excuse me, but you said three and a half thousand years ago?" asked Tarkin.

"Give or take a few decades, yes." Said Naruto having an idea where this conversation was going.

"How?"

"Cryotubes" said Naruto not wanting to give away how he had arrived in this time.

"Is it safe to say your youngling came with you?"

"No, she isn't from my time." Said Naruto now getting annoyed at the officer's questions.

"How different are the Jedi from your time from the Jedi today?"

"When I joined, they were more like scholars and diplomats who were trained to defend themselves, but when I was frozen, they were more like warrior monks. The Jedi now are more uptight bureaucrats, thought some are still the same as the Jedi of my time. Now, enough with your questions, prepare your equipment." Said Naruto turning to his padawan to help her prepare everything she needed to explore an underground space.

The group prepared in silence until the gunship landed a few hundred yards from what Naruto would call an obelisk. The group offloaded from the transport and were stopped by Naruto from going any further.

"This is not a structure from the Sith organization, but from the Sith species… this is going to be a bit more worrisome." Said Naruto.

"There is a difference?" asked Tarkin.

"Yes, but it's a conversation I am not willing to go into right now." Said Naruto.

"So what dangers do you suppose we will encounter in this 'Sith building'?" asked Tarkin slightly sarcastic.

"Anything from basic pitfalls, Sith abominations, old Sith magic which is similar to those Dathomir witches, Sith Phantoms, and quite possibly an old Sith Spirit."

"Master, what is the difference between the Sith Phantom and Sith Spirit?"

"Well, a Sith Phantom once a Sith who has lost who he was and has become a… feral entity of the Dark side which will kill you on site, while a Sith Spirit has retained what he was and may be inclined to listen to you rather than just kill you. Though make no mistake, both entities will most likely kill you in the end." Said Naruto.

"Well it seems that you are quite knowledgeable on the subject, so if I may ask, is there a way to destroy these entities?" asked Tarkin.

"Yes."

"Are you willing to share how?"

"No. The methods I know will not work for you." said Naruto as they reached the obelisk to find that there was an opening that led to a way down into the structure.

"Ok from here on out do not get separated from the group, watch your step, and do not touch anything." Said Naruto as he stepped though the opening.

"Yes sir/Master" said the group minus Tarkin as they turned on their lamps and followed the old Jedi into darkness.

-Sith structure, lower levels-

The group had explored the upper part of the obelisk and were now delving deeper into the structure below. They had thankfully avoided a few old traps, but they had found nothing of note in any of the rooms and open areas. So they decided to go down further. Their first obstacle was that the stairway down was destroyed, not that it bothered Naruto as he jumped of and stuck to the closest wall, but the rest of his group had to repel down. The more the descended the more the air smelled of death and decay. Halfway down the structure opened up into a vast open area which Naruto recognized.

This wasn't a temple but a library. A very old library that Naruto wanted nothing to do with as he felt like the dark side of the force had permeated every object in this place, and he felt the echoes of fear that this library held. Naruto dropped to the floor and gazed at the surroundings that he could see.

In the dim light of the lamp he was carrying, he saw that he was surrounded by many decaying bodies, some looked older than the rest, and a few looked mummified, but he also saw a few fresh corpses of pirates not too far away. He looked up and saw that the rest of his group had caught up with him so he looked around some more while he waited for his companions.

He stopped as something caught his eye. A corpse in old Jedi robes holding a corroded lightsaber. Naruto took the saber from the long dead Jedi's hand and flipped the switch. A green blade appeared for a second and then fizzled out. Naruto unsealed a shroud and covered the body, which he then sealed in a separate scroll. He found a few more long dead Jedi and did the same.

He eventually was joined by the rest of his group while he was kneeling before the mummified remains of an ancient female Jedi who he recognized.

"This was Vara Nreem, a foolish woman who went looking for Sith artifacts believing that she could learn from the dark side without falling." Said Naruto as he also covered Vara in a shroud and sealed her within a scroll.

"Master, this place… I feel so cold." Said Rem slightly shivering.

Perhaps it was a mistake to bring her along, but she would have needed to face the dark side one day.

"That would be the dark side you are feeling Rem, do not fear it, but be weary as it will try to tempt you." said Naruto.

"Wise words coming from a Jedi." Said a ghostly voice. Immediately the whole group minus Naruto had their weapons raised.

"Why have you come here Jedi?" Said a now seen formless spirit with glowing yellow eyes.

"I have come here to investigate an unknown structure that has many missing persons cases attached to it." Said Naruto unsealing a single edged blade that had a faint blue glow to it.

"So you are not here to plunder the knowledge of my library?"

"No, I am not. Though from one librarian to another, this structure is impressive."

"You host a library of your own?"

"I do. I must ask, why did you kill all of these people?"

"They thought they could take my knowledge, yet they were unworthy, so I ripped their souls from them to be tortured for all eternity." Said the spirit.

"And what do you plan for us?"

"Death." Said the spirit as he approached the group, who all minus Naruto started to back away slowly.

"How about a trade for our safe passage and the release of the souls of the Jedi you killed?" asked Naruto as the spirit was inches away from him.

"What do you have in mind little Jedi?" Asked the spirit now slightly intrigued.

"What would you say to the three Sith holocrons I have in my possession along with two ancient Sith war swords?" said Naruto as he unsealed said objects.

"Leave them here and you may leave unimpeded. The souls of your Jedi brethren will be freed in time. Do return Jedi librarian, you are a strange being, and I would enjoy the conversations we could have." Said the spirit as he vanished.

Naruto placed the holocrons and swords down at his feet and turned around. He was about to speak but he suddenly twirled the sword he had and performed a quick backwards stab which caught the spirit center mass.

The spirit shrieked in pain as bright orbs of light spilled from the stab wound as Naruto pulled his sword out of the now dying Sith spirit.

"How?" the spirit whined.

"Well, you are not the first Sith spirit to try to pull a fast one on me. Now as a fellow librarian do know that your collection will be well taken care of." said Naruto as he slashed at the downed spirit dispersing it as it wailed. He sealed the swords and holocrons back up and faced his speechless companions.

"Alright, you lot are now out of your league here, so everyone minus Rem is to exit the library." Said Naruto as he shook Rem out of her stupor.

"Absolutely not, I am here to investigate this building and retrieve any objects of importance for the chancellor. I will not fail my mission because some Jedi got cold feet facing a long dead cultist." Said Tarkin.

"These objects are cursed, and are too dangerous for you or that old coot to posses as they may kill both of you. Now this is not up for debate as I have ordered you to the surface. You can go of your own power, or I will have you restrained and dragged out. What will it be Captain Tarkin?" said Naruto getting directly into Tarkin's face.

"I will leave, but do know that the Chancellor will hear about this." Said Tarkin as he stormed away.

"Gaz, Markus, make sure that he doesn't get himself killed." Said Naruto.

"Yes General." Said the two as they and the other clones followed Tarkin.

"Master, how did you kill that spirit with just a sword?" asked Rem.

"First, quit calling me Master, I dislike that title. Call me teacher, or Sensei. Second this is no mere sword but a Force-imbued blade the Jedi of old used. These blades have the ability to damage and destroy dark side spirits. I will be making you one like I have Sira. But before that I will be teaching you how to use the ability called Force Light. I will explain all this to you later, for now start placing explosives all around while I gather all the artifacts I can find."

"Yes Mas-Sensei." Said Rem as she started flinging explosives at all the supports she could find.

Naruto made a few hundred clones and scattered them. He too began to place his own brand of explosives. Over charged explosive seals, his own design, would vaporize the enire bottom half of the structure causing the whole upper half to cave in on itself along with the surrounding area, in turn making it look like the whole library was never there. Naruto started to have his clones return to him with many scrolls that he in turn sealed all into one scroll. He motioned for Rem to come to him, and they both vanished in a swirl of leaves as soon as Rem took his hand.

-Far outside the Library-

Naruto and Rem appeared a few yards away from the others in their group who were all on the transport waiting for the two of them. The two Jedi boarded the transport and Naruto ordered the pilot to take them back to the Hailstorm. The gunship took off, but before the doors closed Naruto triggered both his and Rems explosives. The group heard the sound and felt the shockwave of the explosion and watched as the obelisk was swallowed up by the ground.

Naruto sighed a breath of relief as this clusterfuck was over.

"Sir, we are getting reports that one of our Venators have been boarded by armored individuals." Said the pilot.

"More pirates?"

"Negative sir, they look like Mandalorians."

Naruto groaned, once again lady luck shits in his dinner once again.
