So my dumb ass forgot to put the poll I made on my profile, it's there now if y'all want to vote on what Naruto finds next. Now unfortunately I will not be updating any of my stories after November till around May of next year, but fear not I will still be pushing out new chapters and will post them all at once when I am able. I have also realized I have been spelling Mandalore incorrectly, I will go back and fix that. So now on some reviews.
So as a few people have asked will the empire still be a thing in this fic? So as a blanket statement, Order sixty-six will still happen, events will be a bit different, but the Empire will come to exist.
To Otsutsuki no Yami, Naruto has his suspicions about Palpatine, but without concrete evidence, he can really do nothing as everything he currently has is circumstantial, and just attacking Palpatine on instinct will cause him to become enemy number one and possibly jumpstart order sixty-six. Pretty much what happened when Fisto, Mace, and the others went to arrest Palpatine. Except Naruto will most likely slaughter Palpatine and be labeled a traitor. So outing Palpatine will be going slow.

Ch. 12 Mandalore
-Venator Clarity-
As soon as he received the report of Mandalorians boarding one of his ships, Naruto ordered all personnel to defend all critical points of the ship, kill the intruders if necessary but to at the very least capture one of the intruders alive for questioning. Naruto had ordered his Padawan back to the Hailstorm as he knew she wasn't trained for skilled warriors such as these, she complied but was not happy about it.
Naruto was currently tracking the group of intruders to the engine room, he had received scattered intel that there were around ten to twenty Mandalorians trying to disable his ship. Naruto of course was in his black cloak along with his plain white mask, which put together made him look like emissary of death itself.
He currently had one of the little punks in a chokehold while he had another one suspended in the air unable to move.
"I would advise you to lay down your arms and surrender as there is no way off my vessel. If you refuse, I will break all of you, one way or another." Said Naruto flinging the suspended Mandalorian down the hallway which ended with said unfortunate soul to crash into one of the closed blast doors. He was then immediately snatched by a group if clones.
"Well?" said Naruto dropping the one he had in a headlock who was now taking an involuntary nap.
He got his answer as a barrage of blaster fire which he weaved in and out of walking closer to the panicking group who were trapped between the closed door to the engine room and the literal walking emissary of death that was Naruto Uzumaki.
Naruto reached out with the force and ripped their weapons from their hands. They of course were far from disarmed but Naruto was too close for comfort to use some of their more destructive ranged equipment so they readied whatever melee weapons they had.
Naruto counted the remaining hostiles, which amounted to thirteen. He pulled the closest warrior towards himself and then flung him back towards his comrades taking out two more. By then Naruto was close enough to reach out and grab the next closest one, but the opposite was true as well, so Naruto had to dodge a swipe from a vibro-knife before he disarmed the poor man by breaking his wrist followed by a debilitating blow to the head which cracked the helmet visor and caused the man to fall like a sack of potatoes.
Naruto snatched a knife that was thrown at him out of the air and returned it to its sender, which caused one of the foolish idiots to emit a strangled yelp. He didn't stop there as he grabbed two of the bolder fools who charged at him, and threw them back towards the engine room blast doors hard enough to leave dents.
Naruto unsealed his staff and beckoned the last six to come at him, which four of them were happy to oblige Naruto, but almost as soon as it began the four Mandalorians were on the ground with multiple limbs twisted at odd angles and some of their armor was shattered.
"And then there were two." Said Naruto staring at the last two which Naruto could tell were female. "I would advise you two to surrender, but in my experience fighting your very distant ancestors, they would always prefer to fight until death." Said Naruto to the now fearful women, he could tell they both knew who he was at that point.
The shorter of the two females released a war cry and charged Naruto, which was a mistake as he grabbed her by the front of her helmet and flung her to the ground hard enough for the woman to become heavily concussed.
"You now have a choice young lady, surrender and your remaining comrades will be spared, continue to fight and you along with your friends will be interrogated by me. Choose carefully child as I am not in a forgiving mood right now." Said Naruto yanking the dazed woman up and removing her helmet and putting her in a chokehold.
"Hmmm… Ursa Wren, next in line to lead clan Wren, married and has a child." said Naruto pulling the information from the captive woman's mind. Naruto paused for a second and then flung the woman towards the wall causing the woman to lose consciousness upon impact.
Naruto was in front of the last Mandalorian standing with a second and grabbed her by the neck causing the shorter woman to claw at his arm.
"Bo-katan Kryze, Sister to Satine Kryze, very distant granddaughter to Kya Kryze,…. Part of the terrorist group known as deathwatch….. too bad little Ursa didn't know who the leader was, maybe you will be more inclined to share who that is?" said Naruto removing the young woman's helmet to see a pale freckled face framed by short red hair and completed by piercing green eyes filled with fear and confusion.
"H-How?" gasped Bo as she struggled to get out of Naruto's ironclad grip.
"An old technique that a clan of chatty blondes perfected, I hate using it as it always gives me a migraine." Said Naruto as he slammed her into the same wall that he threw Ursa at. He let the young woman go as she crumpled to the ground.
"Sweet dreams granddaughter." Said Naruto, not that anyone heard what he said.
Naruto sighed and looked around at the bodies splayed around in uncomfortable positions. "They are all are still alive….. I must be going soft." Said Naruto to no one in particular.
"General." Naruto turned around to see a group of clones waiting for what he guessed were his orders.
"Strip them of their weapons and armor, then throw the less injured in cells. Make sure that they all are heavily restrained. Take the injured to the medical bay to be patched up. Deposit all weapons and armor in the armory on the Hailstorm, that is all." Said Naruto turning away from the unconscious body of his criminal granddaughter and stalking away towards the bridge to make his report to the Jedi council.
-Hailstorm in orbit around Mandalore, two days later-
Naruto was disgusted at the sight he saw from the bridge, Mandalore that he remembered was once a beautiful planet, full of jungles, forests, grassy plains, and vast oceans. The planet now was a desert wasteland, though if legends were to believed, something similar happened to Tatooine.
Naruto had been requested to join Kenobi in his investigation into Mandalore, as there had been another attack by a single Mandalorian that had been far more damaging and Kenobi had volunteered to go on the mission. The council was hesitant to let Naruto go as he had a violent past with the Mandalorians, but Kenobi was able to convince them to let Naruto join him on the mission if only to turn over the prisoners that Naruto had captured.
Naruto was waiting for Kenobi to arrive in the system so they both could meet the Duchess and her retinue at the same time, and eventually discuss the transfer of his captives. The Duchess was making a big stink about his warship being anywhere near her planet and every time she called to gripe about it, he pretty much delicately told her to fuck off or straight up ended the call. He was annoyed enough to go down to the planet and prank the hell out of his other granddaughter…. Maybe he should have brought Rai with him to fuck with the uptight woman some more. He was brought out of his musings by a rapid beeping.
"Yes?" said Naruto as he activated his commlink.
-I do believe that you are attempting to give the Duchess an aneurism by bringing that war machine to her planet. She has contacted the republic and demanded that you remove your ship from her system. You are becoming quite the handful Master Uzumaki.- Said Obi-Wan.
"I don't care what that uptight little girl thinks, I am here to turn over prisoners and I will not make the mistake of coming in a ship that was not capable of holding such crafty warriors. Now I will meet you on the surface in a few minutes, over and out." said Naruto cutting the commlink off.
"Captain, go retrieve our redheaded prisoner, gag and blindfold her, and meet me in the hanger bay."
"Yes general, will I be accompanying you to the surface?" asked Gaz.
"Do you want to?"
"No, I don't think I will get along with the locals."
"Very well, I await my prisoner, please don't take too long." Said Naruto exiting the bridge.
It took around ten minutes for Gaz to retrieve Bo-Katan and hand her off to Naruto as he boarded a gunship. The young woman was struggling to get out of Naruto's grip but he was having none of it. He forced her to her knees by raising her cuffed arms, which were behind her back, up quite a bit. To her credit, Bo didn't make a single noise, but she complied as she didn't want her arms to be popped out of their sockets.
The doors to the gunship closed and they took off towards the capitol city. Naruto still had his mask on as well as the black cloak. He kept these on as he wanted to fuck with every Mandalorian he came across. They had given him a name that literally meant walking death in their language, and he was going to make sure that they knew he was still around. He could feel the fear coming off of Bo-Katan and the was trembling a little bit. Maybe he went a little overboard….. Nah, she deserved it as she had joined a terrorist organization.
"Calm yourself girl, you will not be harmed. Though do know that I am very disappointed in you." said Naruto, now feeling confusion from the girl.
"General, we are about to land, it looks like General Kenobi is waiting for you."
"Thank you Frost, please open the doors, and as soon as I get off, return to the ship. I do not need any more of a headache from the blonde brat bitching about having a heavily armed transport sitting at her docks." Said Naruto hearing a choked laugh from Bo.
"Yes sir." Said Frost chuckling a little bit as the blast doors opened bathing the inside of the gunship in light. They soon landed and Naruto helped Bo up to her feet. He led her to the transport that was waiting for both Kenobi and himself.
"Who might this be?" asked Kenobi.
"The leader of the group who attacked my ship." Said Naruto, this time more gently making Bo kneel on the transport.
"Any reason why you only brought her?" asked Kenobi
"To fuck with the Duchess."
"Ah, perhaps bringing you along was a mistake, your violent old history with these people and all that." Sighed Kenobi
"I have no problem with these people as the ones who wronged me are long dead and forgotten." Said Naruto noticing that their escort was now radiating fear.
"You have nothing to fear from me boy, unless you try to attack me or my companion."
"Noted, sir." Said the guard shakily.
"Now, I will stay silent until addressed by blondie or anyone else."
"You seem agitated at the duchess, any reason why?" asked Kenobi.
"You will see in time. Now let us be off, I have people to scare the shit out of." said Naruto as the transport landed in front of the palace.
"This will not go well."
"You expected it to?" asked Naruto, his voice dripping with sarcasm .
-Palace main hall-
"General Kenobi, welcome." Said a middle-aged man.
"Thank you for meeting with us Prime Mister Almec."
"I greet you as a servant of the people, but I am troubled by the false rumors that brought you here. Mandalore would never turn against the republic, the Duchess Satine values peace, more than her own life." Said Almec, with Naruto rolling his eyes at the statement, not that anyone could see.
"Oh, I'm aware of the Duchess' views."
"Master Kenobi, Mandalore's violent past is behind us. All of our warriors were exiled to our moon, Concordia. They died out years ago." This caused Naruto to let out a loud snort which gained the attention of Almec.
"And who might you be?"
"You know who I am Prime Minister, your people must still have horror stories about me." Said Naruto seeing the recognition in the man's eyes.
Though before the man could say anything the Duchess walked into the hall. "Well, Master Kenobi, my shining Jedi Knight to the rescue once again." This caught Naruto's attention as he could feel attraction between the two. This would be quite fun, well for him anyways.
The Duchess sat down in her very fancy chair, that Naruto very much disliked.
"After all these years, you're more beautiful than ever." Yep, Naruto had a new mission, he had to get these two together as it may help both parties to mellow out a bit more.
"Kind words coming from a man who accuses me of treachery." Said the Duchess.
"I would never accuse you of personal wrongdoing, Duchess. However two groups of separatist saboteurs attacked multiple of our cruisers, Mandalorian saboteurs." Said Kenobi as he held up a holo disk showing a recording of a Mandalorian fighting. All parties watched the recording until it stopped playing.
"You must be mistaken. No Mandalorian would engage in such violence, not anymore." Said Almec, which again made Naruto snort.
"Where is this prisoner now?" asked Almec staring warily at Naruto.
"He took his own life rather than submit to questioning." Said Kenobi.
"What of the other saboteurs?"
Naruto spoke before Kenobi could answer. "I have them in my custody, alive, but broken, minus two who only have mild concussions." Said Naruto.
Kenobi interrupted Naruto to keep the conversation civil as he saw the anger in the Duchess' eyes. "I know these commandos fought in many wars, often against the Jedi."
"Every one of my people are as trustworthy as I am." Said Satine.
"I know we sound defensive, but-" the man beside Satine was interrupted by her.
"Clearly your investigation was ordered because the Senate is eager to intervene in our affairs."
"Child, our investigation was ordered by the Jedi Council." Said Naruto, more agitated by his very distantly related granddaughter.
"And who might you be?"
"I believe your ancestors gave me a name in your language that translates to Living Death, though I go by Naruto Uzumaki." This made everyone in the room, minus Naruto and Obi-Wan, go pale.
"Now, what happened to the annoying woman that bitched at me to remove my ship from her system? What's wrong, the boogeyman of your legends come back and scare the words out of you?" said Naruto, hearing a muffled chuckle from behind him.
"That is impossible, the Living Death died thousands of years ago. You can't be him." said Satine.
"He is who he says he is, Satine." Said Kenobi with a sigh, now regretting bringing the old Jedi.
"If I were to say I believed you, how?" was all she could muster up.
"Stupid amounts of luck." Was all Naruto said, which caused all of the people in the room, minus Bo and Obi-Wan, to stare at him disbelievingly.
"Now, I have a few things to talk to you about, one being that I have something for you to see, and we have the fates of the prisoners that I have in my custody to discuss." Said Naruto removing his hood and mask.
The Duchess was stunned to see that the young-looking man looked so much like her father and grandfather did when they were young.
"I also have something of yours." Said Naruto bringing Bo out from behind him while taking off her gag and blindfold.
"Bo?" asked Satine weakly.
"Sister." Said Bo.
"She was among the group that boarded my cruiser, and I am just showing you that she is alive and well." Said Naruto before Bo vanished in a flash of light that confused everyone in the room.
"What have you done with my sister?" demanded Satine, not showing any fear now.
"Oh, there's the woman that harassed me for the past few hours, I was beginning to think that she turned into a meek little girl. Good you will need that fire in the future." Said Naruto, getting the Duchess even more riled up.
"Your sister is safe on my ship, and she will stay there until our discussion is completed." Said Naruto.
"What is it you want?" said Satine.
"Well, I am here with a proposition of sorts. You see, I remember Mandalore being a vibrant green planet, not this wasteland. I believe that I can restore some life to the planet. Enough for your people to live outside your domed city and grow their own food." This shocked everyone, even Kenobi.
"Y-You lie." Said Almec, to which Naruto stamped his foot and every plant in the room grew larger than what anyone though possible.
"I am many things, Prime Minister, but I am not a liar." Said Naruto.
"I know you wouldn't do this for free for your old enemies. What do you want?" asked Satine flabbergasted.
"I would like for you to keep the prisoners I have alive and well, and I would like to have a place to stay on this planet, preferably outside the city once I am done with my work."
"Why do you want to stay here of all places?" asked Satine, now very curious.
"We can discuss that in private along with the details of my proposition. Now I do believe you were thinking about asking your sarcastic friend to walk with you through the city?" said Naruto smiling at the shocked face of the young woman.
"How did you know that?"
"You don't hide your surface thoughts very well. Now I would like to see this city that Peaceful Mandalorians built. The thought still boggles my mind that many proud warriors would lay down their arms." Said Naruto as he spun around to walk out the door and into the city not even waiting for Kenobi or the Duchess.
"Come on, we better follow him so he doesn't get into any trouble." Said Kenobi holding out his arm for the Duchess to take.
"Should that be something for me to worry about while he is in my city?" asked Satine while taking Obi-Wan's hand.
"Unfortunately, yes. Trouble follows him around where ever he goes, and the interesting thing is that he doesn't go looking for it. Trouble just finds him."
-Later after the bombing-
"May I ask why you think I shouldn't go with you two to Concordia?" asked Naruto.
"Well since you had a large hand in killing the man, the Duchess believes that if you were to step foot on Concordia, you may cause more harm than good."
"Please, the man jumped to his own death, I merely relieved him of his weapon and hands." Said Naruto rolling his eyes at the Duchess' nonsense.
"Be that as it may, trouble seems to follow you around, so I have to agree that it may be for the best that you stay away for now." Said Obi-Wan.
"No, I will not stay away, but I will not travel with you. I will search around the mining regions, and I promise that I will stay out of trouble as much as I can."
"Well that's probably the best I am going to get, I will not tell Satine, but please don't do anything that will cause a political incident."
"Fine." Said Naruto.
Naruto stayed silent as he watched the Duchess and Kenobi board a shuttle and eventually take off.
He eventually noticed that there were a few dozen guards surrounding him but keeping their distance.
"I suppose the young Duchess ordered you all to watch me?" asked Naruto not really expecting an answer. "Well good luck." With that said Naruto vanished in a puff of smoke leaving many befuddled guards in his wake. Once they all dispersed to search for him, Naruto reappeared in the exact spot that he was in another puff of smoke with a Cheshire smile on his face. "Heh, suckers." Said Naruto before he radioed for Frost to pick him up and take him to the moon where he suspected the 'Death Watch' were located.
-Concordia, mine tunnel, a few hours later-
Naruto once again was shaking his head at the situation that he saw before him. While he was cloaked in shadow in a high corner of the mine, he saw Kenobi suspended upside down on an ore processer. Apparently the youngish Jedi Master had a tendency to get captured. Instead of going down an helping his fellow Jedi, Naruto decided to wait and see how it would all play out.
He didn't have to wait long as the two Mandalorians turned the machine on and were drawn away by an alarm a few seconds later. A second later the Duchess appeared.
"Well it certainly took you long enough." Snarked Kenobi.
"You know, I haven't saved you yet." The Duchess snarked right back.
"Yes, no need to remind me of that." Oh there was absolutely something going on between these two, and Naruto was definitely going to poke that bear with a stick later.
"Be patient." The Duchess said curtly.
"I happen to be a bit short on patience right now." Said Kenobi as he was slowly moved to the crusher.
"Satine! Turn the machine off!" shouted Kenobi as the poor woman started to push random buttons. "I'm Trying!"
"SATINE!"
"There!" said the woman as she pressed the correct button to turn the crusher off but not the entire machine.
Kenobi flinched as the crusher turned off just as it was about to flatten him.
It was around this time that the two guards came back and grabbed Satine, but not before she kicked a barrel into the grinder for Obi-Wan to use as a way to escape.
In the end both of the commandos were laid out and the two lovebirds were arguing again. As they entered a lift, which Naruto entered as well, but not that ether of them noticed.
"You know for a man sworn to peace, you take an unseemly pleasure in the injuries of others." Said the Duchess.
"For a woman sworn to non-violence, you didn't seem troubled that I could have been killed back there."
"But you weren't, and I still haven't heard any thanks."
"Well, you certainly haven't changed much."
Oh Naruto couldn't help himself and spoke up startling Kenobi and scaring the shit out of the Duchess. "You know Kenobi, when a woman saves your life like that, it's best to take her to dinner or do something… more…. Oh what's the word for it… carnal." Said Naruto with a shit eating grin on his face, though not that ether of them could tell. "And it would do you both good to get laid. Would probably ease that sexual tension between you and with the way you two argue, the sex theoretically should be phenomenal."
Both of them were blushing and Naruto could have sworn that he could see Kenobi's blush through his beard.
"The code states that we are not-" Kenobi was suddenly and abruptly interrupted by Naruto. "The code that you follow states that you should not attach yourself to anything, which you, your Padawan, his Padawan, and most of the order has failed in. From what I have read your code never says specifically that you are forbidden to have sex. Now, let us table this interesting conversation until after I pull your danger prone asses out of the fire." Said Naruto as the door to the lift opened revealing a member of Death Watch, who had heard the door open, but was too slow to react, which ended with Naruto snapping his neck.
"This is not the way we came in." said Kenobi.
"Gee, you think lover boy?" said Naruto igniting his saber to redirect the blaster fire from the now alerted terrorist camp.
Satine and Kenobi ducked behind a nearby outcropping of rock.
Naruto leapt down to engage the Mandalorians that were not retreating to their ships. These armored warriors were not the same as the ones he fought a few thousand years ago, it felt like they had gotten weaker, and their armor was too easy to break. It still felt like beskar, but maybe it was a weaker alloy?
Those were questions for later as Naruto ducked under a missile from one of the terrorist's jet pack and cut the offending party in two.
Yup definitely an alloy.
Naruto threw his saber at another warrior, which went straight through their armor with ease, which got Naruto thinking. There was a mine full of beskar behind him, why did these Mandalorians have subpar armor?
He called his saber back to him and severed the arm of a Mando that had tried to sneak up behind him. The man didn't even scream and tried to attack Naruto again, only to have his head removed. Naruto then saw that the camp was empty and his two companions were not there.
Naruto leapt up to where the lift used to be but found that it had been damaged enough for it to fall all the way to the bottom of the shaft. Naruto looked down to see that there were a few small fires at the bottom.
Naruto let himself fall down the shaft and land at the bottom in a roll. The first thing he saw was Obi-Wan laying on top of Satine. "Wow Kenobi, I didn't know you had it in you, though I do have to judge you on the location. Bedding a high-class lady in a rinky dink mine isn't really tasteful, but hey, maybe she is into that."
Their embarrassed faces and the speed they both flung themselves away from each other caused Naruto to start hysterically laughing.
