Hi. It's me again.
While writing this story, someone posted a review that questioned the logic of a poison that could rot a piece of meat without blood flow. He asked, "Is there really a poison that can directly rot a piece of meat? How does poison migrate to a piece of meat without blood flow?"
I was taken aback by this comment. After all, this is a fantasy story! The protagonist is a reincarnated person in to DxD world, and he knows that he is in a fantasy world. He doesn't want to be a doctor here, It is enough for him to know that someone is trying to kill him and it's definitely not a human.
In the story, there is no human who wants to kill Issei. So, it is reasonable for him to assume that the poison was not man-made. However, I may have made a mistake by not explicitly stating this. I will add this kind of logic detail to the story in the future. And I am certain that the poison used by the fallen angel to kill issei was not man-made and not purchased from a shop in Japan.
I hope this addresses your concerns. Thank you for your feedback!
He also said that the first chapter was a complete disaster. I am willing to accept that and I will work to improve my story in the future.
Well I don't have much to say, so let's get into the story.

Talking " "
Boosted Gear [ ]
22. Visitor and Date
It was well past 11pm. I was in my room, doing my daily strength routine. "1681, 1682..." I was trying to beat my previous push-up record. But it was hard. I had spent a lot of my stamina in my battle with Dohnaseek.
"Issei, can I come in?" Huh? It was Asia. What was she doing here?
"Yes, come in."
I wiped my sweat and sat on the chair next to the table. Asia entered the room. She was wearing her usual pajamas.
"Issei, can we talk for a bit?"
"Of course," After I said that, Asia silently went and sat down on the edge of my bed. There were two chairs in my room, so I wondered why she didn't sit on empty one.
"Issei, something strange happened while I was healing Tsubaki-senpai," she said, looking at me with concern.
"What kind of strange thing?" I asked curiously.
Asia activated her Sacred Gear, and two rings studded with green stones appeared on her hands. Her Sacred Gear, Twilight Healing, had the power to heal anyone. I thought it was a fitting Sacred Gear for someone as innocent and kind as Asia.
"Wait, what is this?" I asked, as my eyes were drawn to a necklace studded with three green gemstones that had appeared around her neck. It wasn't very long, but it caught my attention.
"That's what I came to tell you, Issei," she said, touching the necklace with her fingers. "When I was healing Tsubaki-senpai, this necklace appeared out of nowhere."
"Out of nowhere?!"
I stared at the necklace around Asia's neck, mystified. I had never seen it before, not in the anime or the light novels. Carefully, I examined the three green magic stones at the end. They were glowing with a soft green light, and the chain of the necklace had a silver colour. Could this be... Asia's True Balance Breaker?
"Maybe a Balance Breaker?" I muttered, the words coming out without my conscious thought.
"What's a Balance Breaker, Issei?" Asia asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.
I sighed and shook my head. "It's a form of Sacred Gear that can only be accessed by those who have reached a certain level of power. It's a much more powerful form of the Sacred Gear, but it also comes with a risk. Just like my scale mail"
Asia's eyes widened in amazement. "Really? I can do that?"
"May I touch the necklace?" I asked. She shook her head. I approached her and brushed my fingertips along the necklace's smooth surface. As I did, a bright light flared from the gems. But the most surprising thing happened next. As my fingers neared the green gemstones, I felt my demonic energy being drawn into the necklace. 'It's sucking my demonic power,' I thought, and looked at Asia again. Well she is beet red. Maybe it's because I came to close? I distance myself from her.
"Asia, can you explain to me exactly what happened while you were there with Tsubaki? I'm sorry I was so focused on the battle that I couldn't see you."
She waved her hand. "It's not your fault, Issei. No matter how hard I tried, the wound on Tsubaki-senpai's stomach wouldn't heal. I felt like the energy in her wound was draining my power. At that time, I had only one thing in my mind: 'God, please cleanse this wound for me. Give me the strength to do it.'
She said this and started to pray. At that time, the necklace around her neck began to shine, emitting another beautiful light. I quickly closed the curtains on the windows because I couldn't let people see the light in my room.
"Just as I thought," I said, turning to her. A questioning expression appeared on her face.
"Well, I'll explain," I sat down in the nearby chair and started to explain again. "Listen, Asia, when I touched the necklace around your neck, I felt as demonic power in my body was absorbed into the necklace. So I think that your new ability can absorb impure energies and send them away. That's just a conclusion I thought."
"Wow," she smiled out of the corner of her mouth with a look of surprise on her face. "So I've found enough power to stay close to you, haven't I?" she asked.
"Like me...ah, did you say you're stronger than before? But first you need to know how to control gear properly" The happiness on her face disappeared slowly. I know that Asia doesn't want to do a another training session.
Suddenly, the Boosted Gear appeared in my left hand. (Partner, someone is trying to stole my power. Get ready for battle now.)
"Woah, Ddraig, don't scare me like that," I said and jumped back. Seeing our behavior, Asia started laughing. "Ddraig, you are weird."
"I already knew that." I said while laughing.
Meanwhile with Sona…
"Are you afraid of him?" Tiamat asked, watching Sona from where she sat on the edge of the bed.
Sona turned to look at her, her eyebrows raised in surprise. "Are you talking about Issei?" she asked. "Why would you think I was scared when I saw him?"
Tiamat shrugged. "You looked nervous," she said. "I know you're a high-class devil, but you can't even be compared to the power of the Red Dragon Emperor."
Sona smiled wryly. "You're right," she said. "I was a little nervous. But I'm not afraid of Issei. He's my pawn, and I know he would never hurt me and my peerage."
Tiamat nodded. "I'm glad to hear that," she said. "But you should be careful. My master is a powerful being, and he could easily lose control of his power. If that happens, he could be a danger to himself and others."
Sona nodded. "I understand," she said. "I'll keep an eye on him."
Tiamat smiled. "Good," she said. "Now, let's get back to business."
Sona and Tiamat turned their attention back to the matter at hand, but Sona couldn't help but think about Issei. She knew he was powerful, but she had never seen him use his power like that before. She was both impressed and a little bit scared. She knew that Issei was a good person, but she also knew that he was capable of great destruction. She would have to be careful in the future.
During the conversation between the two, Tsubaki regained consciousness. She had received several fatal blows from Dohnaseek, but she had been healed by Asia. She opened her eyes and found herself in Sona's house.
"I'm alive!" she said to herself in surprise. She sat up and looked around. Her body was still sore, but she was alive. She got out of bed and went to the mirror. She looked at her reflection and saw that there was a big hole in her school uniform where Dohnaseek had hit her.
She sighed. She was glad to be alive, but she knew that she would have to be careful.
"Issei!"
She pressed her hand to her chest. She didn't understand why her heart was beating fast when she remembered Issei. She saw Issei finally come to where they were. This is not the first time that Issei has come to save them. "Important things to me, do you think I am an important thing to you?" she said and went to sleep again. "Tomorrow will be a good day" she closed her eyes with great happiness in her heart.
Next day…
"Today is a good day," I said, opening my arms wide. Asia was on my right side, and she looked a bit sleepy.
"Issei, you're so mean! You fell asleep early while telling me to train," she pouted.
"Sorry, sorry. I'm tired too, that's why I slept."
We both started walking to school. Several unexpected events had happened in my life since I first met Asia. Before Riser's arc, I never thought I would have to fight a fallen angel. But as Dohnaseek said, the story of this world is different. I have to choose my path very precisely, or else this world will be doomed because of me.
As always, I successfully completed my studies today. "Good, then it's time to go to the student council office." I said goodbye to my classmates and headed towards the council office. Asia was not with me. I was a bit nervous. After yesterday's incident, even thinking about seeing Sona and the others again made me feel a little nervous. I had hidden my true form from all of them. 'Who would have thought that I would be caught so soon?' I sighed and entered the council office.
"Good work today!"
The council office was busy as always. Sona and Tsubaki were checking some files. Reya was cleaning the whole room. Ruruko and Tomoe were reorganizing the files on the shelves inside the council office. I didn't see two people: Momo and Tsubasa.
"Issei!" Tsubaki suddenly called out. "Why are you sitting there? Come in and help us," said the vice president, Tsubaki Shinra.
I entered the council office because of her order. I was entrusted to make coffee for everyone. 'What kind of people would order their savior to make coffee?' I thought to myself as I left to make coffee.
A few minutes passed. I finished making the coffee and came over to give everyone a cup each. They all seemed to enjoy it as they drank and continued their work.
"Thank you," Tsubaki said first. "It's delicious."
"You're welcome, Senpai," I replied.
I went back to my work. At the same time, Momo and Tsubasa entered the council office. They both had serious expressions on their faces.
Tsubasa approached me, but she seemed to be having trouble speaking. I couldn't imagine why.
"Is something wrong?" I asked.
Momo came over and said, "Issei, Tsubasa wants to talk to you." Then she left and sat down on the sofa nearby.
"What did you want to talk about?" I turned back to Tsubasa.
The others in the peerage were listening in on our conversation. Sona, however, didn't seem to be paying much attention. Maybe she already knew what Tsubasa was going to say.
"Issei," Tsubasa said, "I...I want to go on a date with you."
The others in the room looked at me in surprise. Tsubasa was a very serious character, so it was quite surprising to hear that she wanted to go on a date with a boy.
"I don't mind. When would you like to go?" I asked.
"How about this coming Saturday? Are you free then?" she asked.
"Yes, I'm free then," I said is without a hesitation.
"Great! I'll meet you up at your house at 9:00 AM," she said.
"Okay," I said.
Tsubasa smiled and turned to Momo. "I'm glad for you, Tsubasa." she replied. So she gave courage to her. After that I went back to my classroom, feeling a little bit nervous but also excited about my upcoming date with Tsubasa. 'I can find new informations about them'
That night, I was sitting in my room reading a book. It was 10:00 PM. I didn't have to meet clients that day, so I thought I'd have a little chat with Tiamat.
I called her into the room using our pact. "Hello, Master!" She greeted me with a smile.
"What's up, Tiamat?" I asked. "Sorry to bother you at this time. So, what's going on? Are Raynare and the others okay?" I asked because I hadn't heard from them since the battle.
"It's okay, Issei," she said, sitting down quietly on the side of my bed. "They're fine. Actually, they were surprised to hear about your battle with Dohnaseek,"
She looked down. I could tell she had something to say. We were silent for a few minutes. Finally, Tiamat spoke.
"Issei, I have something to tell you about Sona." her sound was serious.
Meanwhile, Sona and Tsubaki were eating dinner at Sona's house. Tsubaki looked sad, so Sona asked her what was wrong.
"I'm fine, Kaichou," Tsubaki said.
"Are you sure?" Sona asked. "You seem a little down."
"It's nothing, kaichou" Tsubaki said. "I'm just tired."
"Hmm," Sona said. "I thought maybe you were upset about the date between Issei and Tsubasa."
Tsubaki looked up in surprise. "What? No, of course not."
"Really?" Sona said. "I know you pretty well, Tsubaki. I can tell when you're lying."
Tsubaki smiled faintly. "No, Kaichou, I don't see Issei as a romantic partner. I treat him as a peerage member, just like the others. I haven't had a chance to thank him yet, though. I also want to thank Asia."
Sona raised her head and looked at Tsubaki again. "I see. You want to take tomorrow afternoon off, don't you?"
"Yes," Tsubaki said softly.
Sona smiled. "Why didn't you just ask me that earlier? Of course you can have tomorrow afternoon off. Go meet Issei and Asia."
"Thank you, Kaichou," Tsubaki said gratefully.
Meanwhile Issei and Tiamat
"What? Tiamat, are you telling the truth? Are Sona's powers really sealed away?" I asked, incredulous.
Tiamat shook her head. "I am telling the truth," she said. "Sona's powers were sealed away by the Devil Council."
I was stunned. "But why?" I asked. "What reason could they have for doing that? and who are they?"
"I do not know the reason," Tiamat said. "But I can tell you that it was a decision that was made by the highest levels of the Devil Council."
I was silent for a moment, trying to process this information. "This is… a lot to take in," I said finally.
"I know," Tiamat said. "But it is the truth"
I was surprised when Tiamat told me that Sona's powers had been sealed by the Devil Council. She explained that she had been ordered to do so by the council, which controls a part of the underworld. I was also surprised to learn that Sona's sister, Sarafall Leviathan, had not objected to the council's decision. According to the anime and the novel, Leviathan is very close to Sona, so her lack of opposition was puzzling and most importantly this devil council doesn't exist in the light novel.
"I need to know more about this world," I said to Tiamat. 'As Dohnaseek said, there's a lot I don't understand'
Tiamat nodded. "I understand," she said. "I will tell you what I can."
Our conversation lasted until midnight. We discussed everything that needed to be done in the future, such as training Sona's peerage. The night before, Sona had asked Tiamat to help with this. Tiamat had asked my permission first, and of course I gave it. To be honest, I was planning to talk to Tiamat about this myself earlier, but I'm glad that Sona was quick to ask for her help instead. Tiamat then returned to her cave.
After Tiamat left, I felt my dragon instincts kicking in. The Boosted Gear was about to burst out of my hand.
(Partner, she's here,) Ddraig said.
"I know, Ddraig," I said. "But don't come out yet."
I quickly left the room and went to the kitchen. I came back a few minutes later with a glass of hot milk and a plate of biscuits. I set them down on the table and opened the balcony doors.
I sensed Ophis hiding in the shadows.
"Ophis," I called out. "If you want to talk to me, you'd better come out." Ophis stepped out of the shadows. Her face was expressionless.
"Come in," I said, inviting her into my room.
I made sure to keep the Boosted Gear in sleep mode, just in case. Because if ophis felt any kill intent from me, I'm done. Ophis entered the room and sat down at the table. I poured her a glass of hot milk and gave her a plate of biscuits.
"So," I said. "It's about your invitation?"
Ophis took a sip of her milk and a bite of a biscuit. "I've come to get the answer," she said.
"Oh Yes?" I asked. "Are you ready to listen to it?"
"My answer is no," I said, my voice barely audible.
Ophis's eyes widened, and I could see the anger rising in her. "You dare to refuse me?" she hissed. I felt the air in my bedroom thicken as Ophis's aura intensified. Her eyes narrowed, and I could feel the power radiating off of her. I tried to breathe, but it felt like there was no air in my lungs. I felt the pressure in the room increase. Well I need to calm her down. So I told a lie
"The taste of those biscuits might change if you didn't stop your anger" I said, pointing to the milk and biscuits she was holding.
Ophis's eyes followed my finger, and I could see the realization dawn on her face. She knew that I was right. If she didn't calm down, the biscuits would taste horrible, and she wouldn't enjoy them. Because Ophis really like sweets.
Ophis took a deep breath, and the pressure in the room eased. "Very well," she said. "I'll leave you alone."
She turned and walked out of the room, leaving me standing there. I found Ophis on the balcony, looking out at the night sky. "Don't you want to know why I don't want to join your team?" she asked.
I was surprised to see a different expression on her face. She looked...sad. "I don't care about the reasons of someone who can't join me," she said.
I didn't want to see her like this, so I told her the truth. "I don't want the most powerful being in the universe to be harmed. The Chaos Brigade is using you. You're the leader in name only. Everyone there is controlled by someone else."
Ophis wasn't a fool. She knew what I was saying was true. But she didn't want to believe it. "Using me? How do you say that?" she asked.
"Ophis, you don't understand now," I said. "But they just want to get your power and do what they want. I know you give them your blessing. But soon you will understand. I am waiting for you."
She looked at me for a long moment, then asked, "What do you mean by 'close'?"
I put my hand on my chin and thought for a moment. "I just said...ah, I remembered that day. The leaders of all three factions will meet and hold a peace meeting."
As soon as I said that, Ophis disappeared. I wasn't surprised. She didn't want to hear the truth. I lay on the bed, Boosted Gear in my hand. Ddraig spoke to me through my mind.
(She left, didn't she?)
"Yeah, it would be a surprise if she didn't."
(What do you mean, Issei?)
"The Chaos Brigade, Ddraig They're a terrorist group. Your friend is with them."
(You mean white one!?)
I laughed. 'I wonder what kind of person is my rival Vanishing dragon Vali' I thought in my mind.
"So, as soon as I mentioned the peace meeting, she disappeared. She knows that the Chaos Brigade will attack that day, she knew this because she's the leader. So, as soon as she heard about it, she must have been surprised and disappeared from here."
(But partner, she could send people to kill you.)
I shook my head. "No, Ddraig, because I planted a problem in her mind. So I'm sure she won't kill me until she gets an answer."
(Are you thinking of putting her in your harem?)
I laughed again. "No, she doesn't have a proper gender. and she wasn't in my list"
(That's what you say.) Ddraig was silent.
"Wait a minute."
I got out of bed and looked for the plate of biscuits on the table. But even after searching the whole room, it was gone.
(Maybe Ophis ate it with the biscuits?) Sometimes this Ddraig says stupid things.
"She must have come back to the room and taken the biscuits." I said, and went back to the kitchen to quench my hunger
I knew this wouldn't be the end. Ophis would come to me again. Even if I had told Ddraig in confidence, if she told others about me, it could be a big problem. That's why I had to make myself stronger. I had to be prepared for anything. I had to be able to protect myself and those I cared about. I had to be strong enough to defeat vali if he came after me. I didn't know how long it would take, but I was determined to get stronger. I would train day and night, if I had to. I would do whatever it took to protect the ones I loved and my survival.
Ophis flew through the skies of an unknown region, a biscuit in one hand and more in her coat pocket. "Mmm, people's food is really tasty," she said as she finished the last of her biscuits.
She landed in a deserted forest and slowly made her way to a stone building. She entered silently and found the members of her group talking among themselves. No one paid her any attention. In fact, no one even respected her as the leader of the group. They only spoke to her when they needed the power of her serpents.
Ophis quietly avoided them and made her way to the second floor. Her room was on the fourth floor. As she was walking, someone called out to her.
"Ophis, stop."
She turned around and saw a man calling her name. "Where have you been all this time?" he asked. Ophis glared at him.
"It's not your duty to know where I'm going, you need anything from me?" Ophis asked without any hesitation. The man bowed his head.
"I apologize, Ophis. I didn't mean to offend you. but we want your help to cure some members" Ophis sighed. "Go, and I'll be back." The man smiled and saluted before leaving. Ophis shook her head.
'As always, all they want is my power. But this is just a small payment to get my home back'
I have finished writing the new chapter for my story. I have made a few changes, including changing the personality of Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God. In the original novel, Ophis is a character who is like a sweets without feelings. However, in my story, Ophis is a more complex character with a range of emotions.
well I changed Asia's balance breaker form. It will be different from what you saw in the LN series.
I would also like to clarify that Ophis will not be joining Issei's harem. The next chapter will focus on Tsubasa and Issei's date. It's will be the final chapter of this arc.
I hope you enjoy the new chapter!
