Running through the trees as the pokemon dash through the leaves. The human kept pace on route 15 as he followed the path. Heart racing, his brown backpack moving back and forth. His spikey blond hair blowing in the wind. After a few minutes of running he ended up in a small town Carthrone with people moving about. Heading to the market in town the boy opened the door to see a small line at the register. Seeing a guy with short black hair in the back near the drinks. The blond haired boy walked over to the black haired boy wearing blue jeans and a rainbow tank top.
"Allen what's everyone's deal? There is usually never a line this long." Said the blond haired boy to his dark haired friend.
"Oh hey Xavier, there is a sale on special pokeballs today. The professor in Startone three towns over made them. Supposedly they help catch water pokemon easily." Said the dark haired boy as he grabbed a drink and walked to the back of the line.
"That's pretty sweet. I might grab a few. Right now I'm on my way to get my second gym badge. What are you up to?" The blond haired boy said, grabbing some potions and getting in line as well.
"I've gotta do some training before I take the gym on. I also heard there is a bike shop in Furon city. Tom and I are gonna check it out. There's a bike route that connects Defrina city to Tourconna city. Saving so much time." Allen said as they finally made it to the checkout
The two paid for their items and Allen bought a few of the new dive balls everyone was talking about. Xavier bought a few himself and they were headed out the store when a scientist was being chased by a team Aqua grunt. Allen and Xavier looked at each other before following them. They were led to the cave outside route 15. The team Aqua grunt had the scientist cornered and was shaking him down.
"Hey, leave him alone!" Xavier said, pulling out a pokeball.
"You kids stay outta this. This doesn't concern you. Otherwise I'll have to take your items from you." The team Aqua grunt said turning to Allen and Xavier. He wore a blue bandana covering his hair and blue sailor shorts dawning a striped white and red shirt.
"You'll have to battle us for them." Allen said, pulling out a pokeball of his own off his belt.
"Fine then…" the team Aqua grunt threw two pokeballs which released a Zuebat and Carvanha.
Allen released Tom his pikachu and Xavier released his Aron from their respective pokeballs.
The Zuebat used hypnosis and confused Tom the pikachu. Aron used metal claw on the Carvanha doing a ton of damage. Carvanha retaliated with surf hitting both Pikachu and Aron. It barely scratched pikachu but was super effective against Aron. Pikachu attempted to thundershock Zubat but ended up hitting himself due to confusion. Zubat hit pikachu with bite doing a bit of damage. Aron barely able to stand got out another metal claw knocking out Carvanha. Pikachu snapped out of confusion and thunderstruck the Zuebat taking it out in one hit.
"Yes we did it. Now run along before we zap ya." Allen said to the Team Aqua grunt as his pikachu returned to its pokeball.
"This won't be the last you kids hear from me. Team Aqua will got big plans in the works so watch your backs…." The Team aqua grunt said as his pokemon returned to their respective pokeballs. Then dashing away deeper into the cave.
"Great Allen, now we've got Team Aqua gunning for us. Way to go." Xavier said walking up to the scientist,"Are you alright sr?"
The scientist dusted himself off before thanking the two and telling them about how this is the third member of Team Aqua to attack him. For he was working on a new submarine and they wanted the blue prints.
After thanking them once more they left the cave and went their separate ways.
"Well I'm gonna go take on that gym. That was a nice little warm up. After I hit the pokecenter in town."
"Why don't I join you. I think I'm ready to take it on myself." Allen said, patting Xavier on the shoulder.
