The breeze blew through the hair of this blond haired boy sitting in the park located at the base of the mountain, route twenty three, that leads to Furon City at the top of the mountain. Sitting on a bench and feeding his Pikachu berries. Seeing trainers enter the mountain to scale to the top got him pumped to do the same. Knowing his friend was waiting in Furon for him. The blond haired boy saw a few guys with blue haired, silver shirts with a large G plastered on them, hassling a kid for his Zigzigoon as they entered the mountain. Knowing that they were up to no good he decided to follow them into the entrance of route twenty three. By the time he had entered the cave it was pitch black in there. Luckily he had his trusty pikachu with him using its tail as a flashlight. Now able to see most of the other trainers in the cave had similar ideas. He caught a glimpse of the guys in silver shirts further up the path. After having to battle a few Zunbats and a couple trainers that were littered along the way. He finally caught up to them.

"Just hand over that Zigzagoon, kid and things won't go badly for you. All we want is your pokemon and we will leave you alone." Said one of the guys in silver shirts. The kid didn't even flinch. He ran further up the route. Stopping them in their tracks the blond haired boy yelled at them to stop. The two looked at him before looking at each other. One ran off ahead giving chase to the boy. While the other stayed behind.

"You guys better leave that kid alone. How bout you battle me, the next upcoming champion." Said the blond boy. Having Pikachu step out in front of him ready for a fight.

"Alright then, I guess I'll just mop the floor with you. No one messes with Team Galactic and gets away with it."Said the The Team Galactic grunt as he threw his Pokeball releasing a Gulbat.

Smirking, the blond haired boy ran his hand through his hair and told his Pikachu to use Volt Tackle. Charging itself with electricity the Pikachu dashed at the Gulbat. Using Air slash stopped the Pikachu in its tracks doing moderate damage but Pikachu wasn't down nor out. Giving it another go Pikachu charged up again and dashed at Gulbat. This time hit it directly and doing massive amounts of damage. Leaving the Gulbat barely able to stand. Then the Gulbat used a twister hitting Pikachu hard, almost knocking him clean out. Although, that didn't stop him from using Iron tail and taking out the Gulbat. The grunt sighed before admitting defeat then running away.

"That'll teach him…Oh wait wasn't there another one. I've got to help that kid." The blond haired boy said as he went further up the route searching for the boy and his assailant. Healing Pikachu with his remaining potions.

Making past the slue of Trainers that were lying in wait for him was a slog as he finally made it out of the mountain's cave. Now in the beautiful city of Furon, lots of vibrant streamers of red and fire displays littered around the town giving it life in this bright sunny day at the top of the mountain. Spotting the lad with the Team Galactic grunt still barking him down. He was on his way to confront him when a familiar face stepped in front of him. It was his dark haired friend from before, Xavier.

"Yo Allen, You made it. Isn't this place awesome? There are so many cool fire themed places to get food and there is a path that leads to a hotsprings at the top. This place is amazing. Not to mention the Gym Leader Karry is holding the Pokecatch event later tonight. Where we could possibly get a super strong Arcanine or Even a strong ninetails." Said Xavier as he put his arm around the blond haired boy's shoulder.

"Yeah Yeah, that's cool and all. I was kinda in the middle of something. There was this kid that needed my help, if you don't mind." Allen said as he removed his friend's arm from his shoulders.

Allen pointed to the kid that was being harassed by The Team Galactic grunt and began to walk over to them. Xavier followed ready for a battle. Allen tapped the Team Galactic grunt of the shoulder as he was yelling at the kid to give him the Zigzagoon. The Grunt turned around and pushed Allen back before saying.

"Why are you in my space? Go mind your business. This has nothing to do with you. So run along."

"Woah you better recognize who you're messing with. This is the future Champion right here.: Xavier said stepping between the two of them.

"I don't care who he is he better get out of here or I'll take his pokemon next." Said the Grunt.

"Well, you'll have to battle me for it. So lets go." Said Allen as he his pikachu jumped in front and got ready for a battle.

"You asked for it, kid. Don't say I didn't warn you." The grunt said throwing a Pokeball releasing a Glameow.

Pikachu used volt tackle with no avail as it missed the glameow and was hit with a confused ray. Confusing Pikachu causing him to hurt himself before snapping out of it. Going in for an iron tale instead. Landing a critical hit caused Glameow to reel back but stood firm. Calling Glameow back and sending out Stunky the Grunt to Stunky to use poison mist. Luckily Pikachu dodged it and hit Stunky with an iron tail, nearly knocking it out. Although, Stucky used Slashed hitting pikachu hitting hard. Pikachu still got off another iron tail taking out Stunky. Bringing out Glameow again he used a feint attack causing Pikachu to flinch. Then almost hit Pikachu with a slash but missed. Pikachu used Volt tackle and hit, knocking out the Glameow. The Grunt then retreated back into the cave.

"Good one Allen. You're free to go, kid." Said Xavier as the kid smiling then disappeared into the town.

"That was a close one. I almost lost that one. Pikachu held in there though. Anyway you wanna hit the hotspring before we take on the gym?" Allen said letting out a sigh of relief as they began walking to the pokecenter nearby.

"Yeah, let's hit it before it gets crowded. Also have you seen the dodongo here? I heard its all the rage."

As the two walked into the pokecenter a young boy with Raven colored hair watched their battle and smiled before saying to himself,"Seems I might have more competition than I thought. Alyssa isn't the only strong one around these parts." His Quilava roared loudly in excitement.
