194days before the incident .

I still can't believe that I am here, sitting in this cafe enjoying my milkshake and cinamon rolls with Sasuke as a companion.

I notice he doesn't like sweets. He ordered a sandwich and a can of soda. Weird things to order in a cafe as fabulous as this. Also it's been almost an hour since we arrived here but I haven't heard him speak a single word except when he asked me for my order. Even when we're inside his car, he drove in silence.

Since both us don't want to start unnecessary rumors, he picked me two streets away from school.

"This is a nice place." I said after taking a sip of my milkshake. "How did you know about this?"

"During one of my trips with Naruto. He was the the one driving and we got lost."

"Lost? All cars now have a built in navigation system."

"The idiot doesn't know how to follow directions."

"So you ended up here because you got lost?"

"Uhm, yeah. Since we're both hungry and this was the only cafe near us."

Sure enough, this cafe is located in a secluded area of town. I honestly wouldn't know that a place such this existed on this part. Maybe that's the reason why few people know about this and it is safe to dine here. No students from our school will go here except of course by accident.

"I see. Thank you for inviting me here. I really do enjoy the place."

"Consider this as a payment for letting me hide in your club room."

"Sakura seems to be so persistent. "

"Nah, she gave up after three days."

"Then why are you still hiding?"

"Hmm, to be honest I'm starting to like the place. I feel comfortable there without people staring or trying to know what I am doing."

I smiled at his answer.I perfectly understand what he means. I also enjoy the silence that my little club room can offer.

I looked around again appreciating the place. The retro theme makes the place look laid back. Aside from us, there are only three more people inside. The two are couple and the other one is a white haired man with glasses. He seems to be enjoying his coffee.

"Hey, I'll just go to the loo." Sasuke told me.

"Ok. I have nothing else to go so you'll definitely find me here." I said trying to sound smart.

"Idiot." He said and left me.

As I watched him walked away, I realize that Sasuke, although he has everything anyone could ask for, might be lonely. Sure he is the son of one of the wealthiest men in the country, he has hundreds of admirers and a circle of people he hangs out with, but he is lacking friends. The only person, I think he consider as a friend is Naruto. But having a friend as cheerful as Naruto when you're an introvert might be really exhausting.

"Hey Miss," a male voice called me.

"Yes?" I asked the white haired man with eye glasses looking at me. "How may I help you?"

"I'm just curious about your eyes. Are they natural?" He asked with a smiling face.

"Yes." I said and I looked down. I don't really like it when some stranger are asking me about my eyes.

"They're beautiful." He added. "That boy isn't your boyfriend right?"

"No!" I said looking back at him with red face.

"I thought so. I've been watching you two since you walked in and I never seen two people so awkwardly sitting together. "He still had his smile on his face and I suddenly felt uncomfortable talking with this man.

"He's just in the loo and will be back in any minute now." I said trying not to sound scared.

"Don't be scared. I meant you no harm. I am just curious. I am a good judge of character and based at looking at him, he's the type of boy that will never ask a girl out. He will, probably but not the likes of you."

I got offended on what he said. Given, I am not beautiful. My eyes are freaky and I am boring. I sometimes stutter when I speak. I know Sasuke doesn't like me like that and I don't care about that, but it is just plain offensive when a stranger say it loud.

"I think, you are also not the type of girl who will date someone like him. So, I am just curious what are you to him?" He said again with his smile growing bigger. It reminds me of a snake, ready to strike. The other couple and the waitress are looking at us. But none of them attempt to stop this man.

"We're friends. And I think it is none of your business." I heard Sasuke's intimidating voice.

Seeing him walking back to our table is a relief. He walks unafraid and so confident. He looks at the man as though he's just some dirt in the alley.

"Hahahaha. Friends I see." He laughed and smile with malice.

"Kabuto, stop already or I'll ban you in coming here." The old manager who just came out of the kitchen said to the man.

So his name is Kabuto. He gave the manager an apologetic smile before he speaks again.

"I'm sorry, I am just a curious man with a big mouth." He finally said and return in drinking his coffee.

"Can we leave already?" I asked Sasuke.

"Yeah. I am about to suggest that."

And we quietly leave the place. It feels so awkward walking beside him in the parking lot. It makes me happy when he said I am his friend. But it is real? Did he really consider me as a friend?

"Hey Sasuke, thank you for what you did back there." I said before he opened the door of his car.

"I am the one who invited you there. You are my responsibility." He said and opened the car door. "Just get in."

As usual we are both quiet while driving. Sasuke seems satisfied about something. I don't bother to ask. I also don't know if he really thinks of me as a friend but I wanted him to be my friend.
