Ow..Ow...OWWWWW...I HATE you stupid cat...
This is what I heard as I arrived at one of the most hilarious scenes of my life. Tora the Cat had scratched up Naruto and now Sasuke was wrestling it for dominance. Wow, Sasuke looks pretty cute wrestling. What, where did that come from. As my mind was in inner turmoil I was broken out by Kakashi picking up the cat walking back to me. "Good job team we should go report back to the Hokage" he said trying his hardest not to laugh at Sasuke and Naruto's conditions. "Well Hinata I really don't want to have to restrain this thing any longer so I am giving it to you". I nervously backed off, even I knew I was going to get scratched up. As Kakashi handed me the cat I started panicking, but the cat just snuggled up to me hoping for a cuddle. "WHAT!!! That's not fair, it's literally sticking up to Hinata" He said pouting , even the ever brooding Sasuke looked annoyed. "Well team I guess we should head back to the Hokage tower".
Over the past month all Kakashi had done was teach them teamwork exercises. He wasn't being useful at all. At least she was making slight progress with the Kekkei Genkai. Though it still wouldn't be ready for transplant anytime soon. Hinata felt many glares bring sent their way. Subtly observing she noticed they were all transfixed on Naruto. Well that makes sense as he is a jinchuriki. Though they still were distracting her from thinking of new ways to inject the blood and make the DNA merge. Though it seemed no one else seemed to notice all seeming to be transfixed on their book or brooding. I wonder what is even so good about that book Kakashi-sensei is reading. Oh, she would definitely not want to find out. Her last teammate seemed to be a little less energetic then usual, though she didn't really care for him she felt slightly bad so she pat him on the back. When he turned she gave him a warm smile of reassurance. At this he seemed to lighten up a bit. Though she noticed a weird air about him, and for a brief moment she could she the eyes of a veteran in him. I quickly shook my head and found us standing at the front of the Hokage tower.
As we opened the door to the Hokage's office I saw Iruka-sensei behind the Hokage doing paperwork. "Jiji I HATE YOU SO MUCH" I heard a loud voice behind me scream, it was so loud I was visually wincing. "Now now Naruto-kun please reduce your volume" I heard the Hokage say calmly. I quickly remembered what we came here to do handing Iruka the cat. "Now team 7 we have painting fences, babysitting, or moving boxes as your next D rank". "NOOOOOOO, I can't take anymore of these stupid D ranks" Naruto screamed out. "Naruto behave yourself in front of the Hokage, and you guys are fresh Genin with little to no experience. Everyone has to do these missions so suck it up". "Now now Iruka please let Kakashi decide whether or not they are ready". "I think they are ready"Kakashi said not even looking up. "Ok, Iruka go get Tazuna". "H-Hai Hokage-sama".
After a few minutes I heard stomping come up the stairs. With a large slam the door opened for a really old man to enter holding sake and chugging it down every few sentences. "Well this is Tazuna, he is a bridge builder and needs you to protect him while he is building his bridge in Nami no Kuni". However the Hokage was interrupted as Tazuna started at us condescendingly and said "These brats are gonna protect me". "Why You". Naruto said lunging at Tazuna to slug him in the face ". "However he was stopped by Kakashi. "Now Tazuna I assure you we can deal with all threats on our way". "Fine". "Now team met me at the north gate at 9 tomorrow". "Hai".
Later that day...
Sasuke POV...
I was annoyed, my face was very scratched up. That stupid cat tora could have easily been eliminated. However they got a better mission so that could wait for later. I would have to prepare for this mission. I could tell Tazuna was lying about something about the mission premises. I quickly made a shadow clone to go get knowledge on Nami no kuni. While he knew he could definitely handle everything, I am not too sure about Naruto and Hinata. As I entered my lab I found scrolls everywhere. He has found this place 5 years ago yet he still hadn't gone through all of these scrolls. There were scrolls on Genjutsu, Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, Kenjutsu, History, Law, and Emotional Control. However the prized possession he had found in this lab a sword. This sword is called the Hi no Tora. It is said to be one of the ten weapons the Sage of six paths owned. It was my prized possession but I didn't really know what was going to happen on this mission so I might as well bring it. It seemed I was running low on rats to test jutsu on so might as well go out to search for them.
I really hope I don't run into Ryu or Tori I am not in the mood today. He probably just jinxed it there, but it's fine. As he kept running through the tunnels searching for new test experiments he thought of who owned the man before him. His name was Orochimaru, he felt kinda like a sensei as he helped him train all these years. Though he seemed a bit too bloodthirsty from what he could tell. Where are these mice they are just nonexistent. While I didn't have a strong enough sensing ability to sense animals it still shouldn't be this hard. As I continued through the tunnel there was a strong chakra signature coming closer. It was basically as big as Naruto's, maybe Tori or Ryu. I'll be honest right now I'm frustrated and it is not the right time to get into a fight. "Well Neko we met again"I heard Ryu say next to me. "Hello Ryu yes it seems so". Well it seems his thoughts earlier did come true, as he felt Ryu lunge at him to punch me. I got in my modified Orochi style, jabbing a quick stab at Naruto. Though he seemed to be using a fusion of the Goken and Hummungbird styles. Though I wonder where he learned the hummingbird style considering it was the fourth Hokage's. He quickly dodged my strike trying to get in my guard to land a punch to my chest. I put my arm up deflecting the attack and I caught his hand with my other and swung him around sending him flying. He did a flip mid air landing without a scratch. He quickly reengaged the fight flying at me at full speed. I sent out a kick to stop him, but he was able to avoid it. Flying straight towards me he punched me and kicked me. Though I was able to go in a basic stance and deflect most of the attacks. I saw him racing through hand signs , activating my Sharingan I copied the hand seals so both of us yelled. Futon: Daitoppa. I had a much weaker version though meaning it mostly just delayed the other wind. Though this allowed me to side step the wind. Both of us jumped back towards each other exchanging punches and kicks until I decided to break the exchange off. Going through hand signs I yelled Katon: Hosenka. This let a powerful fire out of my mouth. However Naruto was already speedily moving through hand signs. Suiton: Suigenhiki. He let of a beam of water stopping the fire. Due to the clash steam was let out everywhere. I decided to take this advantage aiming a kick to where I thought Ryu was. Though I saw him racing at me to aiming a punch for my mask. Putting all my power in my kick, it reached Ryu and I heard two large shatters. Both of our masks broke, I took a good look at Ryu's face I recognized it to be Naruto. Not even caring that my mask broke I asked "Naruto your Ryu"? "Umm yeah". "What do you mean umm yeah, your Ryu"? "Are your eyes ok yes I'm Ryu". Sasuke was annoyed at his insult, and his personality is so different. He probably put a mask on like himself. "Well do you know the identity of Tori". "Nope no clue". "Well anyway I gotta go back to my lab"I heard him say. I watched him leave, will at least he won't hold me back on missions. As I thought back to Tori, I thought that it would be rather funny if Hinata was Tori. Though she is way too shy and definitely could not fake it. He didn't know how wrong he was.
1 day later...
Hinata POV...
I have been waiting at this stupid meeting place for hours. While I get that Kakashi can be late even my patience was wearing thin. This whole time I had been just sitting here. What I noticed that was really weird were that Sasuke and Naruto were an hour late and arrived with the other. Even the client was late like come on just arrive. We're they all in some plan to about her. Ok deep breaths Hinata, deep breaths. As I opened my eyes back up I finally saw Kakashi and the client walking towards the gate. Finally they were here I was so bored. I got up walking over to Kakashi sensei. "Ok team we are going to set off to Nami no Kuni. "Hai" I heard Naruto shout. I winced at the volume when Kakashi motioned us to follow him.
The trip was mostly uneventful, out of all people Naruto and Sasuke seemed to be silently communicating. I wonder when they had met before as they seemed to be rivals in the academy. Though it seems Kakashi didn't pick the communication up. Feeling a foreign chakra signature enter the radius I looked to the ground seeing a puddle. It was clearly a Genjutsu, and not a good one at that. It seemed Kakashi had also noticed it, so I acted like I didn't see anything. As we crossed the puddle, two men that carried gauntlets jumped out. Wrapping their chains around Kakashi they squished him, though he clearly substituted. I turned around getting in the gentle fist. As one approached Tazuna I quickly jabbed in the shoulder closing one chakra point. On the other side of the battlefield I saw Sasuke firing off a fireball to break the chains. Naruto making shadow clones to surround the enemies blocking their sight. Using this opportunity I activated my Byakugan, I found where his heart was and stabbed through a few clones hitting him. He seemed to fall unconscious, with Sasuke also finishing his opponent off. Kakashi dropped down from the tree clapping. "Good job team, your teamwork was impeccable". I saw Sasuke and Naruto for the first time with my Byakugan and I was shocked. They had incredibly developed chakra networks. I know Naruto has a giant network, but this was even bigger. They both were for sure hiding something. "Now, Tazuna why are two missing nin targeting you" Kakashi asked with an eye smile. Tazuna was sweating bullets, clearly nervous. "W-well my country has been taken over by a man named Gato, taking all the money and forcing people to live on the streets. I have to build a bridge to let more traders in to help Waves economy. However this will hinder Gato and he is trying to kill me". "You know you could have asked for more teams. You know this could put my cute little Genin in danger right" Kakashi asked menacingly. "I know but we don't have enough money, please continue the mission" clearly trying to guilt trip us. "Hmm I will let my cute Genin decide". Sasuke and Naruto exchanged a glance before Baruto said " Me and Sasuke would like to continue ". Kakashi turned towards me and I had already considered this knowing my answer. "I-I would l-like to continue". "Ok, since it was a unanimous vote we will continue" At this Tazuna looked very relieved. As we continued our trek.
We had been walking for a while, completely in silence. While their had been a bit of small talk along the way it had been minuscule. I suddenly sensed a chakra signature coming from the bush and a fairly strong one at that. It was a bit smaller then Kakashi's. Seeing Kakashi throw a kunai down it seemed to be a white rabbit. That was definitely a substitution though. "Everybody get down"I heard Kakashi scream even though I was already on the ground. Seeing a giant sword for over us embedding itself in the tree. If my knowledge was correct this was the kurikirobocho of Zabuza. "Well it seems I have met Kakashi of the Sharingan, no wonder the demon brothers failed" I heard Zabuza say while releasing killing intent. I mean it was average killing intent I could deal with fairly easily, but for an average Genin without any experience this would be hell so I would have to pretend. "Well Kakashi it seems your Genin can't take my killing intent well enough". "Guys calm down I'll protect you". "Wow what a cute speech". Suddenly a mist rolled in that obscured most of your right. "I can aim for 9 points on your bodies..." he went on this boring speech on all 9 points he could kill is with, it was pretty boring and even my facade was falling. Suddenly he went to attack Kakashi with them both fighting while balancing on the water. They punched and kicked each other using their clones to their advantage. Kakashi activated his Sharingan exchanging punches and kicks. Looking over to Sasuke he looked unimpressed, however seemed to slip on a mask of surprise. He had done these tiny slip ups to let on that he knew a lot more then we thought. As Zabuza made a clone, but Kakashi copied the jutsu. Making another clone putting a kunai on Zabuza's neck. Though Zabuza made another clone, making one handed hand seals which I admit is impressive he trapped Kakashi in a water prison. It seemed everyone else was paralyzed out of fear. "Well now it's just your little Genin which are easy to take out". "RUN, I can escape take Tazuna and leave". "Ha, you think I'll let them leave". At this everyone seemed to unfreeze as the clones approached. I got in the basic Jyuken coming palm strikes at clones. As Sasuke arrived we both started deflecting and dodging strikes. It felt even easier with Sasuke though I quickly shot that thought away. As we defeated all the clones and regrouped we whispered to think of a plan. "How about Hinata distracts Zabuza by water walking and destroying the clone, while Naruto henges into a Shuriken and I throw him"I heard Sasuke whisper as we all nodded. As we put our plan in action, I quickly ran onto the water hitting a Zabuza clone straight in the chest. While I was using more power than usual, this wasn't the time to go easy. I quickly ran towards Zabuza, but he kept spawning clones. Though as I took a look behind me Sasuke and Naruto were ready. So I defeated the last clone and leaped to the left out of harms reach. Sasuke threw a Fuma Shuriken and in the shadow of it through disguised Naruto. "Ha ha ha brats you think one of these Shuriken can beat me". What he want expecting was a second one so he batted the first one and barely dodged the second while keeping his hand on the water prison. Though as it flew passed it puffed into Naruto. He quickly threw a rain off of Shuriken and kunai before puffing away. Zabuza had to let go to dodge and Kakashi was free. Quickly getting out of the water here leaped away. As all three of us watched this fight continue they threw jutsu after jutsu towards each other. Before Kakashi and Zabuza both made water dragons and sent them at each other. "Ugh I know you have the Sharingan..."Zabuza tried to say but was interrupted. "Copy your exact movements". Zabuza looked shocked that Kakashi read his mind. "How" He said. However Kakashi quickly made another water dragon and it hit Zabuza. Zabuza was sent into a tree, coughing up blood. Before Kakashi could kill him off a senbon came out of a tree and hit Zabuza. I knew he wasn't dead, that Hunter nin had been there the whole time. Most likely he was Zabuza's colleague. However I just couldn't care less if the mission continued if worst came to worst I could just kill Zabuza. Though Kakashi in his tired state just checked his pulse before the Hunter nin took him away. A careless move on his part. As soon as he got back the Hunter nin had left. "Well I'm exhausted" he said before fainting.
