Back at the Gummi Ship, Kairi glanced at Twilight Town, and soon caught a glimpse of what Barret pointed out to her: A kind of little green mist seemed to connect this world with many others like a chain. Determined to investigate, she turned to the nearest world by following the fog, coming to see a world that consisted of a large city on a huge desert. Kairi looked at the panel of the ship and could see what world it was: Agrabah.
Kairi landed outside the walls of the huge city she found, making sure no one saw her for safety. She soon entered the huge city gates, amazed at the size of the city and its architecture. She was so in awe of the place, that she couldn't see in front of her, and she tripped over a person, causing her to fall to the ground.
This man turned around. Kairi could see that he was a huge man in a black suit with a yellow band, really wide white pants at the legs, slippers that ended in a rising peak, and a white turban, armed with a sword. His face was that of someone tough with a kind of short beard with sideburns, and a face of very few friends.
"And who you are?" The man asked, showing that he was missing a tooth in his mouth.
"My name is Kairi," She said, getting up off the ground and brushing off the sand. "And who are you?"
"That's none of your business, brat!" The man replied. Apparently, he was angry. "I must say that you are not from around here, so I must make sure you are not a danger to the city."
"What do you mean by danger?" Kairi asked. "Is it for the Fallen?"
"Fallen? What's that? A bunch of clumsy people who can't stand up?" He said, almost losing patience.
"Let's see, how would I put it..." She said thoughtfully. "Think of them, as creatures that are supposed to be dead, but are not."
"Ah, so that's what they're called," The man said thoughtfully, affirming to Kairi what she thought, but suddenly shook his hands and head. "No no no! Those things aren't the problem! Strange machines have been popping up! Every time those things appear, those monsters do too! "
"I see," She said thoughtfully. Suddenly there was a great commotion in a nearby street as if something was destroying something. Kairi then ran to where the noise came from, as the man tried to stop her from continuing.
Soon she reached a street that was already quite destroyed, and those responsible were three strange robots in the shape of a beetle that destroyed everything. When she prepared to attack, a group of Skeletons landed in front of her threateningly. "Of course, why not?"
Kairi did not take long to destroy three of the skeletons with a single sword blow, but at the same time she had to deal with several Ignis Specter, and an electric version, Cicero Specter, but she did not take long to dispatch part of them. When she focused on one of the beetle robots, it moved like normal beetles, but these were armed with stake cannons and flamethrowers, as well as being tough for being made of metal, but she was soon able to destroy one of the robots.
She didn't know if it was by chance or not, but as one of the robots was destroyed, more Skeletons and Specter Ignis and Cicero appeared, while another robot beetle leaped to hunt her. After evading and dodging several attacks, she was able to eliminate the Fallen and focus on the robot beetle, until it was destroyed.
Suddenly, a group of Axe Armors leaped out onto the street, surrounding her, while the third robot positioned itself in the center of the street, digging its legs into the ground. Suddenly a pair of stone arms appeared at the sides, and from there arose a huge stone monster so huge, bearing a crystal on its chest, and the robot beetle on its back, letting out a deafening roar. The Stone Giant advanced towards Kairi as the armor surrounded her, but Kairi was faster and was able to evade the encirclement, soon dispatching one of the armor.
She wondered what this new monster was capable of, but she was surprised when he got on all fours, with the robot beetle on her back pointing at her, and without warning, he fired a burst of stakes that almost hit her. Following this attack, she decided that it was time to take the Chocobo form, but she soon saw that the Stone Giant was trying to remove something from her back, confusing her. When he turned around, she saw a small monkey perched on the beetle, where the stone monster could not reach it, leaving him distracted.
Without warning a pair of feet landed on one of the armors, causing it to fall to the ground, being in the middle of two others. Kairi saw that he was a slim but slightly muscular young man with black hair and brown eyes, and he was dressed in a purple vest and white pants with a yellow patch part of it. The two armors threw their axes simultaneously but the boy somersaulted backward and both weapons hit the two armors, destroying each other.
"Need help?" The kid asked after landing.
"That would be fine," Kairi said, finishing off the armor that lay on the ground.
The Stone Giant kept moving madly trying to get the monkey off him.
"Abu, get off!" Said the kid and soon the monkey jumped off the beetle.
After he stopped pacing, he found Kairi and headed towards her, but something got in the way of her. In front of the Stone Giant was a muscular man with totally blue skin, pointed ears, black beard, black hair, and he wore two gold bracelets on his wrists and a pair of indigo pants. This guy had one hand in front of him to stop.
"Freeze! I suggest you get out of here before it gets worse! " She warned the strange being.
"Are you crazy?! You can't reason with that! " Kairi alerted.
"Quiet. Genie will take care of him with ease." Said the boy.
"Genie?" Kairi said, remembering that name from a Sora story.
The Stone Giant blond to Genie, menacing. He only smiled raising his eyebrows, as if looking at the reader (Which is a bit strange here), and suddenly he became a huge being with excess muscles and dressed only in huge torn purple pants. "GENIE SMASH ROCK!" This caught Kairi off guard, not expecting that.
Then Genie and the Stone Giant began to deal head and chest punches without stopping for a moment. The scene itself was really weird and even the kid put his hand on the side of his face as if he could already see that coming, while Kairi looked puzzled at what was happening. Soon Genie hits him on the head, beheading him, but he just acted as if he was blind. "GENIE ANGRY!" Genie shouted with a false tone of anger and a powerful punch hit his chest, breaking the crystal there, and throwing the Stone Giant against a house, causing a lot of dust with the collision. "Genie overdoing it, right?" He asked him now feeling guilty.
"Yes, you were a bit over the top this time," Said the boy and the smoke vanished as a heart and a soul left the place, leaving only a crushed and shattered beetle robot.
Soon Genie regained his normal form. "Sorry, I got carried away. I'll fix it later."
"You better do it!" Said the man from before, approaching them really angry. "Do you have the slightest idea of the damage you cause? You are more destructive than those things! "
"Come on, Razoul, calm down. It does not do with bad intentions. " Said the boy.
"Don't try to defend him, Street Rat!" Said the man, Razoul, very furious. "I'm getting tired of the trouble you and your Genie are causing!" He said and saw Kairi, soon noticing her Keyblade. "You wield that too?!" He asked, making the others look as well.
"Well yes, if you mean I know how to use a Keyblade," Kairi said.
"Then you must meet Sora, right?" Asked the boy.
"Do you know him?"
"Yes, he is a good friend of mine," The boy said and extended his hand. "My name is Aladdin, but you can call me Al."
"I am Kairi," She said and shook her hand with his. "Sora has told me about you, but I thought she was exaggerating a bit about the Genie," She said looking at Genie.
"Well, you don't know what I'm capable of with words," he said to her and suddenly became a magician with a top hat and all, pulling a rabbit out of it. "You have to see me in action!"
"I see!" She said smiling.
"Wait, Kairi? That name sounds familiar to me," Al said, thinking.
"Maybe Jasmine told you about me."
"That's it!" Al said while Razoul had already lost himself in the conversation. "Jasmine told me about you! According to her, you are also one of the Princesses of the Heart. "
"Correct."
"H-h-h-h-h-how ?!" Razoul asked in surprise. "Is she one of them too?"
"Indeed," Al said and noticed that he was a little nervous. "What happens?"
"We had a disagreement in the back streets. You have treated me like a criminal. " Kairi said and he got more nervous. "But it's okay. After all, I think she was trying to protect the city. "
"True, he is one of the Sultan's guards, although not very clever, shall we say," Genie said, and soon found himself with Razoul's angry face against hers. "I heard you, dumb genie!" Now it was Genius who was smiling nervously.
"Come on, come on, let's all calm down. I don't think this is the time for this. " Aladdin said. "I suggest we go to the palace. I think we will be calmer there. "
"Yes, it will be the best for our health!" Genius said as he appeared next to him dressed as a doctor with a notepad as if he were writing something.
"Is he always like this?" Kairi asked Aladdin, pointing at Genie.
"All day," He answered.
"And don't see how annoying it can be!" Razoul said.
They soon arrived at the palace, and while Razoul was left by his side, probably not to put up with the group anymore, the others went to the throne room, where Kairi met the Sultan, an elderly man of short stature, fully dressed in white like a king, sitting on the throne with Jasmine nearby. Soon the Sultan learned the whole story of what happened last year from Kairi.
"I see. I hope this trip isn't full of setbacks. And I hope you can find those answers," Said the Sultan.
"Thank you, Your Highness. At least I do everything I can. "
"I'm very sorry for what happened to Sora," Aladdin replied, sadness on his face. "Sora is a good friend, and I hope Riku can find him."
"I hope so too," Kairi replied.
"And to think that my dear daughter was also part of the same group of princesses of pure light. You have no idea how proud that makes me," Said the Sultan happily.
Kairi blushed a little for that comment until soon a red parrot appeared flying nearby, and when he saw Kairi, he let out a cry and flew away from where he came, although soon Abu followed him.
"What happens?" Kairi asked.
"Oh, that's Iago, Jafar's ex-buddy, a member of the group of villains who kidnapped you a year ago and caused a lot of trouble around here," Genie said and Kairi was shocked. "He must have known you before, and seeing you here frightened him into thinking that you would hold a grudge towards him."
Kairi reminded the group of villains that was under Maleficent's orders. But unfortunately, she didn't know all the members.
"Well, the truth is that I don't remember anything of my captivity, so I have no reason to hold a grudge," She said with a shrug.
"Well, in any case, I wish you to stay here as the guest of honor," Said the Sultan.
"Oh, very kind, Sultan," Kairi said, knowing that he was already getting late and that he needed to get some rest since the Gummi Ship was not one of the most comfortable vehicles in the world to sleep on. Also, she believed that she had gotten the scent of the Fallen, and she should wash up a bit.
"And if something happens, or someone tries to attack you, you can be sure that Genie will scare him away in a moment," Aladdin said.
"Oh, that doesn't worry me," Kairi said, keeping in mind the mark on the back of her neck, though she remembered that she only repelled Death in her physical form. But then he remembered something. Now that I think about it, what are those strange beetle-shaped machines?
"Don't tell me that lunatic is in on this!" The Sultan said, almost angry.
"It seems," Aladdin said. And he turned to Kairi. "These machines are the creations of a mad genius named Mechanicles."
"A mad genius?"
"A scientist, a man who builds and creates things," Genie said, translating for Kairi. "A man who believed in the power of technology, in addition to having a mania for keeping everything clean as a whistle."
"Plus he is determined to conquer the world, including Agrabah," Jasmine said.
"Yes, and he will stop at nothing to get it. It wouldn't surprise me if he allied with whoever he controls those things. After all, it wouldn't be the first time," Aladdin explained
"I understand," Kairi said, thoughtful at this information.
In the private room given to Kairi, she was currently in the bathtub of her room, with only her head above the water full of bubbles, while she was thinking about everything that happened so far. The recent appearance of the Fallen, that threat from the mysterious Succubus, the strange feeling that these creatures were mainly after her, and the fact that this Mechanicles' machines were cooperating with the Fallen, and even joining forces to these, as in the case of the Stone Giant. Despite everything, there was a figure that remained in the center despite everything: The mysterious woman in the red robe. Who was she? Why did she put that strange protective seal on the back of her neck? And if she wanted to help, why didn't she reveal herself?
"What are you thinking about?" The Genie said, next to her suddenly, exalting Kairi who hid herself completely between the bubbles. Genie soon caught on to what was happening. "Oh, I'm sorry!" He said turning around with one of his hands on his head in shame.
Kairi raised her head above the bubbles, glaring at the Genie. "Can it be known what you are doing here? Shouldn't you be, for example, watching the city if they attack again?"
"Don't worry, if something were to happen, we would find out on the spot. I have set alarms and watchtowers around the city," The Genie said without turning around. "If one of those things comes close to the city, it can already be considered history!"
"Well, did you know that they can appear through portals within the city, without having to approach your perimeter?" Kairi asked.
Genius tried to reply, but then an anvil with the words "common sense" fell on him and he prepared to leave immediately, dressed as a military worker. "Right now I have to prepare the interior of the city and-"
"First of all..." Kairi cut off. "Do you know anything about seals?"
"Yes, I know everything you need to know about all kinds of stamps, up to where they originally came from," Said the Genie.
"Well, right now I have one on the back of my neck," Kairi said and stood up just a little so that the back of her neck could be seen, and pulled her hair back, showing the seal.
Genie turned and took a look at the seal, dressed as a scientist in a white coat, observing it even with magnifying glasses and microscopes, and even magnifying glasses, investigating it. "Hmm, yes, this is a defensive seal, designed to repel certain things," He said he and kept looking. "From what I see, I think it was designed to repel the physical incarnation of Death. A very strange thing, in my opinion, " He explained and kept looking. "The funny thing is that they seem familiar to me, but I don't know from where. They look like… "The Genie said exploring the seal, but suddenly he turned pale," By all the stars! ", And jumped back, slamming himself against the wall, being a bit stunned by the impact, while sticking out his tongue with a wooden bird in it.
Kairi turned around, always staying inside the tub to see what was happening. "What's happening, Genie?"
Genie appeared in front in a black mourning suit, as if to deliver bad news. He massaged his opposite arm with his hand looking at the ground. "Kairi, it's hard for me to say this, but ..." Then he grabs Kairi by the shoulders and looks her face to face in the eyes. "That seal is demonic!"
"WHAT?!" Kairi asked, leaning back to the other side of the tub in shock.
"I recognize those marks anywhere!" Genie said, soon transforming into a blue demon with horns on his head. "That seal was created and designed in the most terrible place one can go, the Abyss itself!"
"The Abyss?"
"It is the place where the cruelest and perfidious souls go when their time comes!" Genie turned into his normal form. "It is the least pleasant place in the universe! To become a Heartless or a Nobody is a thousand times better than ending up there! It is the place of torture and eternal punishment, without turning back!" Then he approached her, "Kairi, where did you get that seal?"
Kairi explained the event in Radiant Garden, mentioning that she was totally unaware of the identity of his attacker.
"I understand. In any case, we must be careful, we do not know exactly who of the four designed the seal. " Genie said.
"Four?"
"Yes," Genie created a floating painting showing a painting with four silhouettes, while Genie pointed to each of the silhouettes. "Laharl, the Demon King of the North; Amduscias, the Wise Devil and Infernal Artist of the West; Luxuria, the Serpent Lady of the East; And Orlox, the Vampire Count of the South. The Four Abyss Lords," Genie listed. "Each one of them controls a section of the entire Abyss, and it's his job to make sure he makes his 'guests' pay dearly for their crimes. They aren't people who have to be an ally."
"And is it possible that good people end up there by chance?" Kairi asked.
"That's right, but pray that doesn't happen, or it would be much worse," Genie said. "That sometimes happens by accident, but it is rumored that one of the four likes to catch good souls without warning, drag them down and have fun with them. I don't know who is, but I have several suspects. "
"And they may be in league with the Fallen," Kairi thought.
"No! They do not take sides in any dispute!" Genie said but then he got thoughtful. "The question is… which of the Four Lords is interested in your being safe against the specter of Death?"
That, of course, was the million-dollar question. Who was the woman in red robes? And most importantly, which of the Four Nether Lords is interested in her safety?"
In a hidden area in the desert, a huge metal structure with steam escapes from some areas of the place was erected, hidden from the gaze of the people. The place was fully guarded by a large number of scarab robots and several armor-type Fallen. In the highest tower of the place, a man in red Greek clothes with a white tablecloth, black hair, black chin hair, and a robotic eye where there should have been a normal eye; he was with a rag doing a general cleaning for what looked like a laboratory. While he was cleaning, he came across a creature, half man half black cat that roared at him, but it only glared.
"Move! Move!" The man said, shooing the cat-man away with his hands, while he cleaned up where he was. "My dear, you could get these things cleaned up a bit now. All I do is clean everything they get dirty!"
"Don't worry, dear Mecanicles, it is their nature," Said a blonde woman with a single piece of blue clothing that covered her torso, leaving visible her breast and arms without clothes, a long blue skirt tied at her waist, a blue cap with a bent peak on her head, blue boots, and with a broom with a purple crystal on one end of the said broom. "Also, you should focus more on your experiments and creations, rather than cleaning everything up."
"I just hate dirt! It distracts me from my duties!" Mecanicles yelled as he continued cleaning.
"Whatever you say," She said looking away.
"But that's the only way I have to vent myself. That genius is a complete problem! Agh, if I could get rid of him! " Mechanicles said angrily.
"Well, I suppose things would be easier without that genius in the middle, I admit that," Said the witch. "I think he's going to need me to pay him a visit," She said and got on her broom and flew off.
"Don't forget cleaning supplies!" Mechanicles said, but she just ignored him.
At night, Genie and Razoul were sitting on a couple of chairs playing a game of chess, although of course, Razoul was not very amused.
"I still can't understand how you could convince me for this nonsense," Razoul said, complaining when he saw that he lost all the games. "Didn't you took charge of security outside?"
"Yes, but I realized that they could just appear inside the city. And since we have a special guest..."
"How special?" Razoul asked. "You mean the girl?"
"Well yes, that same one," The Genie replied.
"Well, in my opinion, she doesn't seem so special to me. She is nothing more than a child that can use a rare weapon, nothing more," Razoul commented.
Genie looked from side to side and thought about saying what he saw on the back of Kairi's neck, but then something caught his attention.
"Shouldn't you be sleeping at this hour, youngsters?" they found the witch in front of them, landing on the ground with her broom.
"And who are you?" Razoul asked drawing the sword from him.
"Hehe, if you want to know," She said smiling. "I am Salome, one of the 'Three Dark Wives'."
Genie stared for a moment and got startled, soon pulling out a radio from who knows where. "All units, code red!"
Suddenly an army of genies dressed as SWATs began to appear everywhere trying to surround her, while Razoul slapped himself on the face when he saw the ridiculousness of the situation, while the genies kept repeating the same phrase, code red.
"Let's go, guys! Follow me! " Said a Genie dressed as a Scotsman, soon followed by several lines of Scots geniuses playing Scottish bagpipes.
"Cavalry, charge!" He ordered a Genie dressed as a cavalryman, soon followed by more Genie soldiers on horses.
For no apparent reason, a plane flew over the place from where several paratroopers jumped. "Geronimo!" "Arapahoe!" "Navajos!" "Pocahontas!" She released the last Indian princess dress.
Soon the SWAT Genies surrounded the witch, as she stared at them impassively, she was soon targeted by countless submachine guns.
"Don't move or we'll shoot each other!" Said one of the SWAT Genies.
"But what the hell is wrong?!" Razoul asked on the ground with his hands on his head, confused.
"Move aside, Razoul! This chick is a thousand times worse than Jafar on a day of a thousand hell!" The nearest Genie warned.
"Well, thanks for the compliment," She said and with her broom she created a magical wave that vanished all genies, leaving only the original... and in his underwear. He covered himself with his arms, embarrassed with a silly smile.
The Genie soon retrieved his pants back and faced the witch. "Get ready, because I plan to finish you!" He then disguised himself like Rambo and began to shoot bolts of magic at her, covering her in an explosion of smoke.
Genie shook his hands in the normal way of him smiling, as Razoul stood up. "Don't worry, everything is done."
Then they heard a laugh from the smoke and it was seen that she was still intact, as if nothing had happened.
"Do you want to try again?" She said with a bow.
Razoul hid from the shock he got.
Soon Salome and the Genie faced each other in a magical duel between the genie and the witch, but unfortunately, Genie was unable to defeat her, and he ended up being locked in a crystal ball.
Genie watched with contempt as Mecanicles began cleaning a stain on the crystal ball, inside the lair, while Razoul screamed angrily, chained to the wall.
"You will pay dearly for this outrage!" Razoul warned. "As soon as the Sultan hears about this, heads will roll!"
"Be quiet!" Salome said to Razoul's face. "You're lucky I didn't decide to give you my husband... like food," At that Razoul gulped in fear.
"What do you want?!" The Genie demanded, trapped.
"You should have an idea by now if I work with Mechanicles, Genie," Salome said and walked over to him. "It's a shame. If you were a genie with a lamp… Maybe you could have beaten me. But of course, genies never kill," She said and laughed at the irony about the Genie.
"Do you want to get Jasmine? Or Kairi?"
"Yes, I am interested in Kairi... but not because of her heart of pure light," She said, picking up a fork near a plate of meat, and suddenly she drove it into the meat as if stabbing it. "But her life!"
