POV - Ilia

"Master Schnee," the butler calls from the front.

"Yes," Whitley replied back simply.

"We have arrived at your destination," the butler said before getting out of the car to open the door for Whitley.

"Remember what where here for," Whitley asked me.

"Yup, a set of warm clothes for Atlas, and a pair of light clothes for Menagerie," I replied.

The butler open the door for us finally revealing Atlas in all it's glory. It was just as I had expected it, a giant concrete forest. Still looked pretty though.

"We can't take to long I need to be home soon or Father will get suspicions, just please be careful," Whitley said.

Whitley is a good kid, that's my decision. He scared me at the start but now I can tell he just wants to do what's right.

"I know I'll be quick," I said before leaving Whitley to find the clothes I need.

(Use your imagination here, I'm not a girl so I have no idea how they shop so yeah we're just going to jump to checkout, sorry)

Their I was waiting in line with the clothes that I was getting, but their was something missing, Whitley. Once I entered I went straight to where I needed to go, but it turns out that I lost Whitley in the processes.

"Hello Ilia, did you find everything you'll need?"

And speak of the devil.

"Yes I did, these are really expensive are you sure it's ok th-"

"It's fine you'll need them remember," Whitley said cutting me off once more, he does that a lot, it's kind of annoying.

We reached the cashier and I put everything up on the counter.

"We don't serve your kind here little girl read the sign," the Cashier said to me with spit.

"I'm sorry is their a problem with my friend here," Whitley said in what I can only describe as him throwing all of his Schnee weight at the Cashier.

"Mister Schnee I di- didn't s- see you th- their," the Cashier stuttered out, the poor guy was starting to sweat.

"Of course you didn't, now do me a huge favor and start scanning the clothes," Whitley said, I think he's starting to get mad.

"I'm sorry s- sir but I'm n-not allowed to s-serve any f-faunes," the Cashier replied.

"Oh is that so I guess I'll just have to tell my Father that this sad excuse of a clothes store denied me, his only son, the right to purchase some clothes for my friend," Whitley replied back smugly.

"WHAT IS GOING ON OUT HErreee...," a tall Man yelling came out how I could only assume was the manager.

"This fine young man is refusing to allow me to pay for some new clothes for my friend here," Whitley said calmly.

"Move out of the way," the manager pushed the now panicking Cashier away from the register, "I'm so, so sorry Mister Schnee, he's new and had no idea," the manager said trying to save his own skin.

"Oh I'm sure he had no idea about the number of sign that say 'no faunus allowed' or how ever single one of your store employee just so happened to glare at my friend here with utter disgust," Whitley said.

"I had n-"

"I wasn't done speaking, so please interrupt me one more time," Whitley said, I could see it now

He

WAS

PISSED

"Now I am only going to say this once, so listen, and listen well. You are going to allow my friend here to buy her clothes. Then you are going to tear down ever single one of those posters. After that I suggest you start looking into hiring new employees because I will be talking to my Father about this, and trust me no matter what you try to say it will not matter," Whitley finished.

I was surprised I know he was mad but I didn't think he was going to do that over a couple of glares and not being allowed to check out.

"Mister Schn-"

"I'm sorry but are you going to start scanning those items I wish to purchase or not," Whitley bit back and the now cornering ADULT man.

"Yes Mister Schnee, I'm sorry for the inconvenience," the manager said, clearly holding back tears.

'For a kid he sure knows how to make people do what he wants them to do. Probably something his Father taught him. Oh well.'

'The manager began scanning my items, shaking might I add.'

"That will be 9,420 Lien, I can lo-"

"Are you insinuating that I cannot pay for this," Whitley said in a annoyed tone.

"No sir I was just try-"

"To get me to not talk to Father, nice try but footing a bill doesn't change how I feel about the insults me and my friend have faced in this establishment," Whitley continued hounding and the poor guy.

Whitley enter his credit card into the scanner.

'Paying the same amount as a car for two outfits that wont even last me that long.'

(Narrator: Little did young Ilia know that the author is using a small piece of foreshadowing, cause no those clothes will last)

Whitley led me outside and ushered me into the limo.

"You can change in here when you're done just knock on the window or open the door," He told me before closing the door leaving me alone.

"It's been years since I've been by myself," I said to no one in particular.

I began to change into what had to be the most comfortable clothes I had ever worn. They were soft and silky smooth. Warm to, which was a nice change from what could only be described as rags that they gave us down in the mines.

It took me a few minutes to finally change into everything but I managed to do it. So I knocked on the door, it open from the other side makeing one of Whitley's gorgeous light blue eyes.

"All good?," he asked.

"Yup, everything fits," I replied

He jumped in after I finished and settled back into his seat. I heard the driver get in and start the car.

"Shall we go home now Master Whitley?," the Butler asked.

"No, do you know any port that have ships that sail to Menagerie?," Whitley politely asked the driver.

"I don't know let me check... hmm... it appears that one is scheduled to leave in an hour, it is thirty minutes away," the Butler said.

"Would you like me to take you their?," the Butler ask.

"Yes please," Whitley responded.

The Butler rolled the window up once more.

"Are you excited to be going home Ilia?," Whitley asked. I could hear the curiosity in his voice.

"Yeah, it'll be nice to be out of the cold," I replied laughing a little at how different it's going to be once I get home.

"Ok well it'll only take thirty minutes so I guess all we have to do is wait then," Whitley said.

(Time skip again, sorry)

"Master Whitley we have arrived at your friends destination," the Butler said, before getting out of the car to open the door for me.

"Before I go," Whitley looked at me confused. Then I did something that surprised myself... I hugged him, "Thank you so much," I told him.

He returned the hug, "It was the right thing to do for you," he said.

The door to the limo open and I got out. I went up to the ticket booth and was looked at the price, that's when it hit me... how was I supposed to pay.

"You might need this," Whitley said from behind me before sliding a few lein cards to the teller.

The Teller counted the lien before giving me my ticket.

"I guess this is goodbye Whitley," I said.

"Yup, it was nice meeting you," he replied.

"Yeah, it was nice meeting you too," I said.

After that I left to get to the bout. I looked down at the ticket and that's when it hit me. He had paid for what would be a first class ticket on a plane so that I would have the best trip across the ocean. Just goes to show I guess.

I reach the captain of the ship, a faunus obviously, and handed him my ticket.

"You know," he said, "When I saw the Schnee logo on that car I was a little worried, but color me surprised when you, a young faunus step out, then surprise me again when the youngest Schnee steps out to pay for your ticket. Huh guess all of them aren't that bad after all," He finished.

He led me up to what was going to be my room for my trip.

"You think that's surprising, think again, he bought me two outfits, one for Atlas, and one for Menagerie. Got mad at the Cashier for not letting me check out, then made the Manager nearly brake down with how hard he hounded on him. Almost made me feel bad, almost," I told the now awestruck captain.

Dang should have asked for some money to pay off some debt I'm in for my kids hospital bills," the Captain joked.

That's when I felt a large lump in the bag that was holding my clothes for Menagerie. I looked in and saw an envelope.

I open it and saw two thing. One, a metric f ton of yellow lien cards, my guess maybe like 300 hundred of the things.

(I have no idea how lien card prices work but I've seen green, red, blue, and yellow, so I just going to make yellow be like 100 lien, again don't know if that's how it works, but oh well)

Second was a letter, I'll wait to read that till I'm in my room.

"Here," I said, giving the captain 20 of the cards.

I think his eyes would have bulged out of his head if they could have.

"Wow, guess he loaded you up their little lady," he said, gently taking the lien cards from me.

"Yeah he did didn't he," I replied.

That's when we made it to my room. He opened the door before telling me how "first class" worked.

"You will be woken up at 7:00 o'clock for a breakfest of you're choice, lunch is served at 12:30 p.m., and dinner is at 6:00. Their are a pair of slippers and pajama pants on the dresser for your own use. If you need anything just open the door and call for Lapis, she is the person that runs room service," he told me.

"Ok, thank you," I said.

The room was gorgeous, it was painted a dim shade of blue, the bed had beautiful silk sheets and blankets, the aforementioned dresser and bed stand was built from Mistralian Blackwood. It had black carpet on the floor that made it feel like I was stepping on a cloud. Their was a bathroom attached to it. It was painted a very nice shade of white where it wasn't blindingly white but at the same time not dark, their was a double sink with marble counters, it had a spotless mirror hanging right above, and what I can only call the crown jewel of this bathroom, the jacuzzi bathtub.

'Oh I'm going to love that.'

I went straight for the bed. The moment I laid down I felt like I was in heaven, but I can't lose myself to sleep just yet I still have a letter to read. I got back off the bed and bulked the letter out. This most have been what he was writing when we were in the limo.

Dear Ilia.

I hope you actually read this and didn't just see the money and through this out, but never mind that. I want to wish you the best and give you a few suggestions. One their is this faunus rights group called the White Fang. It is led by the chieftain of Menagerie, Ghira Belladonna. When you get to Menagerie I suggest you get that money into an account immediately. Please Ilia be safe, I have a feeling that we'll be seeing each other again and I would very much like to catch up in what we have missed. I never did say but your scales are really cute. Never hide what you are behind a mask or hood. Being a Faunus is a gift, never, and I mean never, forget that.

From: Whitley Chornyy Schnee

At that point I was crying and not in a pretty way at all. All at once the exhaustion hit me and, well still holding the letter I fell asleep.

(Time skip to 7:25 a.m., what, you thought I was going to talk about her sleeping, y'all weird if that's what your looking for)

I was awoken from my sleep by a loud knock at my rooms door.

"Breakfest," came a sing song voice of a women.

I looked at the clock and panicked. It was past 7:00. I scrambled to the door and just about through the thing open.

"I'm so so sorry, I was way more tired then I thought I was," I apologized to the maid.

"It's no problem at all dear, my name is Lapis, and I will be serving you your breakfast because the others got tired of waiting for you to answer the door," The now named women told me with a kind smile.

"I haven't had any real food in years is their anything you would suggest," I asked Lapis.

"Oh you poor thing, I think I know just what your looking for," Lapis said, "How does some light oatmeal and some berries sound?," She asked.

"Good, it's a bit strange but ok," I replied.

Definitely strange if some of the foods I'm smelling are to be believed.

"Well dear you see when you don't eat properly for extender periods of time your body is used to not getting all the nutrients it needs, so to get back into eating properly you should eat watery foods or things like berries, noodles, or rice," Lapis told me.

"That makes sense, thank you Lapis," I said.

"It is no problem dear," the kind old lady said before closing the door.

'Guess I should go take a very much so needed bath and maybe call room service to see if I can get new sheets. Yeah I like that idea.'

"Ladies and Gentlemen this is your Captain speaking were are about 13 hours out from Menagerie, so please entertain yourselves with some of our on board games," Spoke the Captain from the speakers.

I can tell that today was going to be a long day.

(One last time skip sorry)

I decided I should go topside and see about those activities that the Captain had mentioned earlier. They were fun but the anticipation of seeing Menagerie was killing me.

"Land ho!," someone shouted put from above me.

I looked forward and their it was, the homeland of the Faunus, and the one place that all of us are safe. It took another maybe, 10 to 15 minutes for us to dock and be aloud off. The first thing I noticed about Menagerie is just how crowded it was. But it wasn't to crowded to the point wear I couldn't move at least. I gripped my items to my chest and started walking. Then I walked into what could only be described as a living brick wall.

"Oh, sorry little one it's hard to move right know," he said in a deep booming voice.

"It's ok sir," I said meekly.

"Where are your parents little one," the man asked.

"Killed," those were the only words I could muster when thinking about them.

"I'm... I'm sorry dear, how did you get here," the now sad sounding man asked.

"Atlas, I was rescued from one of the SDC dust mines sir," I told him, not really lying to him, just not telling him the whole story.

"I see well why don't you follow me to my home and I'll help you get connected to the White Fang," the man said.

"Thank you... uh," I said trying to ask for his name.

"Ghira, Ghira Belladonna," he replied.
