(Whitley POV)

"Alright kid it's time for your first mission, after this you will be made a member of the Dark Brotherhood," Schwarz said.

"Well then let's get to it," I said not hiding my excitement at all.

"Excited, good you should be after all you work hard to get to this point," Schwarz told me.

"Anyway your first mission will be on the Sanus continent," he told me.

"Sanus," I said.

"Yup, reports of a deranged scorpion Faunus out ther," Schwarz said.

"How dangerous are we talking," I asked.

"A serious challenge for sure," he said.

"Ok then," I said accepting my fate.

"That's the spirit," he said.

I turned to leave before Schwarz interrupted me.

"Also grab a vial of scorpion antivenom before you leave the temple," he said.

"Yes sir," I replied.

(Summer POV)

[I know she was supposedly killed when Ruby was like 2 or 3 but I don't care]

'After this mission I'm absolutely retiring'

It was a cold snowy winter day and I was exhausted from all the grim killing. I was so ready to just go back home and cuddle up with tai and the girls but I needed to get back to the village and tell them that I was done. They won't even know what the entirety of that statement is, I'm done hunting, I'm done training, and I'm done fighting Salem.

"And who do we have here," a voice said from behind me.

I turned and pulled my weapon without thinking twice. The owner of the voice was hidden out of sight by the shadows that the moon casted down, but I didn't need to see him to know who the voice belonged to. It was Tyrian Callows, one was Salems agents.

"Tyrian," I said, venom lacing my voice.

"Oh she even knows my name, even better," he said in his crazed tone.

Moments after that he pounced at me. I used my semblance to dodge and countered with a sideways swipe with my scythe.

[I know we don't actually know what weapon she used, but I like to think Ruby didn't just get the idea to use a scythe from Qrow]

It connected and I quickly pulled the trigger unloading a point blank blast from my shotgun into his back sending him toward a tree, but instead of slamming into it he jumped off of the tree like it was a spring board. He reached put and activated his semblance, as he made contact with my shoulder I could feel the little but of aura that I had left leave me.

"Oh what will you do now," he taunted.

"Keep fighting," I said confidently.

In a flash his stinger was in my left shoulder, I could feel all of it, and it hurt like hell. After a few seconds he launched me back toward the cliff that we had been fighting on.

He cackled before saying, "What will the little rose do now."

I was going to say something when suddenly I heard someone running at us, looking to the left I saw kid running at speeds that could rival Qrows. Tyrian to lost in his own monologue didn't hear him coming. The kid leaped up an slammed feet first into Tyrians head. He took a quick look at me before throwing a vial of a strange purple liquid at me.

"Take this it's antivenom," the kid told me, "After that I want you to call for help got it."

He didn't give me the time to respond before running at Tyrian reaching toward his hips like he was going to draw a gun. Suddenly two shotguns formed in his hands which he aimed directly at Tyrian and fired, hitting Tyrian two times my would be killer was sent flying back this time though he wasn't given the chance to bounce back as the kid keep the heat in Tyrian. Looking down at the small vial before unscrewing the top and downing its contents, it tasted disgusting, but it worked. Next I pulled out my scroll and called the last person I ever expected to call again.

(Raven POV)

'Why did I leave Tai again'

Not the first time I had thought that sentence since I left 12 years ago.

'Why would any of them call me'

I looked up and saw the small box I keep my old scroll in, and sure enough it was vibrating. I got up and grabed the box from the shelf it was on.

Opening it I got another surprise.

'Caller: Sum'

'That can't be good'

Quickly I pressed answer.

"Hello Summer what do you need," I said in as dead of a tone I could trying to hide the worry.

"Ra I need to use my one save card," I heard.

"What's wrong," I asked not hiding the worry anymore.

"Dont ask, just get here now, I need out," Summer said, Oum she sounded exhausted.

Without another word I ripped my sword out of its scabbard and opened a portal to Summer. Looking down I was met with a strange sit, Summer lying on the ground half awake.

"Take me back to Patch, please," she begged.

Looking up I saw something more confusing, what appeared to be a kid was holding his own if not beating Tyrian Callows. That didn't matter though, I once again sheathed my sword and readied my semblance. Slashing at the air a portal opened up to my old home in Patch, and their I saw Tai.

'God he looks as handsome as ever, gah get your head out of the gutters Raven'

I stepped through and quickly put Summer on the couch.

"Hi Ra, mind telling us why your here," my dear brother said.

"Bit the time, young kid fighting Tyrian Callows, help," was all I could say before Tai ran straight at the portal to try and help, but something happened, something very bad happened.

Tai couldn't go through.

'Oh no'

Standing up my fears were made a reality when I saw the kid holding my sword.

[I don't think this is a canon thing, and I dont think Raven would ever leave her sword anywhere]

The two rushed at one another. Tyrian activated his semblance and tried to drain the kids aura, but he quickly spun behind Tyrian before grabbing his tail. Out of nowhere Tyrians entire tail froze and in one movement Tyrians tail was no longer attached to his body, but this didn't put Tyrian down at all. Tyrian grab my sword and ripped it out of his hands. The kid turned trying to throw what was probably going to be an uppercut, but instead was met with a sword through the gut.

"No," I heard Tai yell.

At this point I was panicking, yes I had seen kids die before, but none of those kids saved Summer's life.

Tyrian activated his semblance and tried to grab the kids head but was met with a frozen hand which seemed to hold off Tyrian's semblance. The kid started to laugh before kneeling Tyrian in the hand that was holding my sword. My blade shattered and slowly the portal began to close. Tyrian had recovered from the hit, and the kid was still standing tall. Both drew their weapons, the kid wielded a one-handed shotgun, and Tyria had his wrist blade. Tyrian leaped and the kid, and in response the kid raised raised his shotgun. That's all we saw before my portal fully closed.

"We need to get Summer to the hospital, Qrow I need you to call.Oz and tell him to send people to that cliff than to meet us at the hospital, Raven go grab Yang and Ruby please," Tai said before picking Summer up.

I didn't even argue with him because he was right. After all I can't keep running from the things I'm scared of all my life.
