8 months since Whitley left Atlas

POV - Blanc

"So how good are you with daggers or knives," I asked Whitley.

"I'd say I'm above average," he said.

"Alright take out your knives and shows me whatcha ya got," I instructed.

He did just that, but he didn't move, he just stood there with his knives drawn waiting for something. It took me a few moments to realize he was waiting for my first move.

"Smart move kid," I complemented.

"I know if I attack you with just my knives you will have me on my ass in seconds, so I was waiting to see of you would attack me first," he said.

"Good, that means you have a good amount of situational awareness," I said.

(Two Month Time Skip brought to you in part by Rai- sh sh sh this isn't YouTube it can't hurt you here)

"Now comes the simple part wrist blade or wrist crossbow," I asked.

"Well both could do me a lot of good but I've got to think about my semblance and the blades I can summon already, so I want a crossbow on my right arm, but can I also get a blade for my left arm," he asked.

"You know that means more training right," I asked.

"I know but I need every advantage I can get to complete my goal," he said.

"Alrighty then," I said, "Follow me to the armory, we can get your measurements and get you the right hand fittings to control the crossbow." I said.

"So I'm finally going to see the armory ," he said.

"Yes is there anything else you might be interested in," I asked.

"Chained blades sound interesting and I might be able to use my semblance on them," he said.

"That's a good idea, I'll have to find someone to help me train you to use them though and you'll have to keep training after you leave," I said.

"I know that and I'm sure there will be some huntsmen out there who I can pay to train me," he said.

We rounded another corner and saw Madam Belyy talking with other higher ups.

"Madam Belyy," me and Whitley both say.

"Ah Blanc and Whitley just the people we were looking for, is it a good time to have a meeting with the two of you," Madam Belyy asks.

"We were on our way to the armory but I'm sure we have time," I said.

Looking back at Whitley I saw his head nodding yes.

"Good, just follow us to my office then," Madam Belyy tells us.

We did as we were told and followed her lead. Everything was going fine until I felt Whitley brush against my shoulder. In any other circumstance I would have brushed this of as an accident but I've come to understand that when Whitley does this he is trying to get attention.

"Something wrong Whitley," I asked quietly.

"Nerves, sorry," he said quietly.

"I understand," I said.

Really I did understand, he was surrounded by people who could kill him in a second if they wished to and it only got worse when we got on the elevator. He was practically glued to my side the whole ride. Once at the top, Madam Belyy entered and went to her seat before any of us were allowed in the office. We all entered and took our seats. Whitley silently stood next to me, shaking slightly.

"So how is his training coming along," Madam Belyy asked.

"It's moving along well enough a few hiccups as expected but beyond that he's moving through his trading smoother then most," I said.

"Good, and going by you said saying that you two were on the way to the armory you were about to get him his blades or crossbows," she asked.

"Yes, but he's getting a blade on his right and a crossbow on his left so that each tool will match the strengths of the arm it is on," I said.

"Interesting and you know that means your training is going to be a lot harder Whitley," she said.

"Yes Madam," Whitley replied.

"Is something wrong Whitley you're not acting like yourself," she asked.

"I did some digging like I said I would and I found a lot of spies in both the Creed and the Brotherhood Madam," he said.

"This is common knowledge to me yes," she said," but you're not telling me everything."

"Some of the spies are in very high ranking positions in both clans Madam," he said.

"You're telling me that someone in this room is a spy," she said.

"Yes Madam," he said.

"Do you know who it is," she asked.

"Yes," he said.

"Then take care of it," she said.

In a flash Whitley was in smoke form and on top of Mr. Wit.

"What is the name of this I have served Madam Belyy honorably for years," he shouted well trying in vain to get Whitley off.

"Yes you have but every time you go on missions you make sure that only you return and spew lies of how your fellow members died when in fact you would do everything in your power to make sure they all die," Whitley said.

"Interesting, how did you learn of this Whitley," Madam Belyy asked.

Whitley froze Wit to the floor by his wrists before grabbing something out of his trenchcoat pocket and pulling out a journal.

"How did you get your hands on that you aren't supposed to go into our rooms," Mr. Wit yelled out.

"I've looked into everyone's history that is in this room and they all have nearly spotless records in everything they do, but you don't, your history with the Creed is stained by the blood of our brothers and sisters, so I decided that I'd start with you," he said.

"How much do you know about us," Mrs. Hvid asked.

"That depends how much do you think I know," he said.

"Do you know of how Blanc got here," Mrs. Hvid asked.

"Yes she is the daughter of Madam Belyy and Schwarz," he said.

"So you know that deep of a secret, you've done good then," Mrs. Hvid said.

"Thank you, now I can only think of one way to deal with y-

"Wait," Madam Belyy said.

"For what," Whitley asked.

"Let me take care of this," she said.

Upon her request Whitley got off of Mrs. Wit, summoned one of his shotguns, and gave it to her.

"Have you any last words Wit," Madam Belyy said.

"Yeah I do bitch, Salem will win, their is no stopping an immortal being, their is only holding them back, you have made yourself her enemy Schnee, so watch your back," Mr. Wit said.

"Are you done," Whitley said.

"Yes," Mr. Wit replied.

"Good," Madam Belyy said.

BANG

With that Mr. Wit was dead.

"Just through the gun to the side," Whitley said.

She did so and the gun slowly turned to smoke.

"Thank you Whitley please continue to investigate, your training should take priority though," Madam Belyy said.

"Yes ma'am," Whitley said.

"You two are dismissed," she said.

With that we left her office.

"So when did you learn about my parent's," I asked.

"Well Schwarz said he had a kid with a Creed member and I saw the little differences with how you and Madam Belyy interact compared to her and everyone else interacting. I also did a lot of research on everyone on the high council so that I would have a better understanding of them," he said.

"Interesting but also a little scary being as we have been trying to snuff out these spies for years and you found one in two months," I said.

"Thanks," he said.

"Now let's get back on track the armory is not to far," I said getting us back on track.

We finally reached the core of the mountain which had two towering doors with four guards before the entrance.

"Hello Blanc," Zuria said.

"Hello Zuria, how are you doing," I asked.

"Oh I'm fine, I hear you've been assigned an apprentice," she said.

"Yes, his name is Whitley we are about to get him is blade and crossbow," I said.

"Wait blade and crossbow, he must be talented," she said.

"I think I'm more of a quick learner is all ma'am but thank you still," Whitley said.

"Quick learner or not you are talented young man, but don't let your talent get to your head understood," she said sternly.

"Yes ma'am," Whitley said.

POV - Whitley

With that we were allowed entry into the core. Behind the door immediately led to a bridge over a massive chasm.

"What's down their," I asked.

"The mines where we collect all of the materials we use to create our weapons and base," Blanc answered.

"Cool," I said.

At the end of the bridge was a forge with three weapon smiths working on different weapons.

"Hello brothers I have brought with me a apprentice who is in need of a blade and crossbow," Blanc said.

"Both," I heard a gruff voice say.

"Yes," Blanc said calmly.

Out of nowhere a short man came out from behind a large blast furnace.

"And what makes you so special," he said getting in my face.

"Well Geal Stàilinn my idea to use both was because of how versatile having both would be and the chance to train more is something I won't turn down," I said.

"So you know my name then, is that supposed to scare me," Geal said.

"No Mr. Stàilinn it is not but I do know the real reason why you have that peg on your foot though," I said.

"Oh do you now, alright then tell me how did I loss my foot boy," he said the other three smiths had pit their tools down and were watching the display.

"If the story is really true then you lost your foot in a drunken bet with a fellow brother and lost it after a failed attempted to throw a axe which ricocheted off of the wall you throw it at and lopped off your foot," I finished saying to the now slack-jawed Master smith.

After a few moments the three smith's behind Geal broke into violent fits of laughter. Geal quickly pulled Blanc aside and I could see the two whispering something to one another.

"Alright kid you're good, let's get these measurements done then we can go over to design your blade and crossbow," Geal said to me.

"Lead the way sir," I said.

The measurements were done fairly quickly, which meant I could get straight to designing. All of the designs the Geal suggested look wonderful but reminded me to much of my last name.

"Geal do you by any chance have something simpler in terms of design," I said.

"Simpler, you want simpler," he said confused.

"Yes sir," I said.

"Alright, give me a second to get out my toolkit," he said before hobbling off to find his kit.

"Hey kid come over here I want you to talk to you about your personalized weapon," one of the other smiths said.

I walk over a saw him with the usual choices but nothing close to what I was looking for.

"Like anything you see," he asked.

"These look good but I have better ideas that involve my semblance like something with a chain," I said.

"Chained blades perhaps," he said.

"Yes," I said.

"How big of a blade are we talking," he asked.

"Show me what you've got," I said.

So we can do a small dagger that we can make detach and explode or do something like a clever so that it's not ginormous but it's not to small," he said.

"Can we go bigger," I asked.

"Sure we can," he said.

He pulls out a blueprint of a blade about 3 quarters the length of my arm.

"It's longer then a dagger but shorter than a sword," he said.

"That looks good," I said.

"The chains will attach to the pommel and have about 10 feet of chain," he said.

"Sounds good can you make it look good but not so good that it looks like only a rich person could buy it," I asked.

"Sure so sleek black matel with white accents," he said.

"Sounds like a plan stan," I said.

"I'm back kid," I heard Geal say behind me.

Not wanting to keep the old smith waiting I quickly made my way over to him. He had his toolkit sitting in the work bench along with a dark wooden chest on the floor next to it..

"Knowimg now that you're supposed to be the person that heals the rift between the clans I figured I should at least give you the good stuff," he said before clicking open the chest.

Inside were some of the most beautiful metals and woods I had ever seen.

"Theirs more of it back in the masters vault this is just the samples box for things like this," he said.

I couldn't help but stare at all the glistening metals in the chest.

"Alright quit your gawken let's talk about what exactly your looking for in terms of metal first," he said.

"I would like it if the metal ends up white to help with blending in," I said.

"Ah so your talking a strong metal with a white powder additive so that it comes out white, I can work with that," he asked.

[I am well aware that you can't just add something to metal and boom new color like that... well for the most part you can't anyway...]

Yes sir," I replied.

"Easy enough, next what type of wood are we talking. Wait let me guess, it's going to be a white wood," he said.

"You already know me so well," I say jokingly.

"Alrighty lassie you know where the training blades and crossbows are so go ahead and teach the kid how to not cut his hand wide open or put a bolt through his hand when using is new toys," Geal said.

"When would you like us to return," Blanc asked.

"Give us two weeks, but bring the kid back every day at about 12:30 in the afternoon that we can teach him how metals work so that he can make bolts and repairs on his weapons," Geal said.

"Yes sir," Blanc said.

After that we began our journey back over the bridge but instead of leaving the core we took a right down a path leading down toward the bottom.

"Where are we going," I asked.

"We're going go to get your training weapons," Blanc said.

"Ok ma'am," I said.

(Two Week Time Skip brought to you in part by the authors will to live not being horrible)

"So how do they feel kid," Geal asked.

"Feels like I've been missing something my whole life," I joked getting slight chuckles out of the four smiths.

"Jokes aside is their anything wrong with them," Geal asked.

"I've got no complaints," I said.

"Good, as you know your personal weapons are almost done they are just going through the final tests to make sure their are no problems," Geal said.

"Alright do you know when they will be ready," I asked.

"End of the day they should be ready go ahead and go get used to them," Geal told me.

"Yes sir," I said before turning to leave the core.

I exited the door to see Blanc and Madam Belyy speaking.

"Madam Belyy," I said with a slight bow.

"Ah Whitley I've been told that you now have you wrist weapons," she said.

"Yes Madam," I said.

"May I see them please," she said politely.

"You ask like I can tell you no," I said sarcastically before deploying them both.

She took a few step closer to get a better look at them.

"Beautiful," she said.

"I take it you aren't just hear to admire the work of Geal are you," I asked.

"As astute as ever I see," she said, "You are correct though, I wished to speak to you about how your spy hunting is going."

"It's going great I've found a few spies in both clans," I said.

"Good, follow me so that we may speck more of these spies in my office," she said.

"Yes ma'am," Blanc and I said in unison.

(Time Skip To The End Of The Day)

"You ready for your personal weapons," Geal asked.

"Yes sir," I replied.

After that I was passed my chained blades and boy were they something special. He nailed the aesthetic I was looking for where it looked good but didn't look like it costed me a fortune to get.

"Thanks so much you three for everything," I said.

"It's no problem lad," Geal said.

"Well I guess I'm off to start my training with these," I said.

"Good luck to ya lad," Geal said before I left the core once more.

Once I was out I started to make my way to where Blanc had told me to meet her for training.
