POV - Whitley

"Ready to go," Ironwood asked me.

"Yup," I said.

We both started walking in the general direction of Atlas.

"Kid wait," Schwarz yelled.

"Is their something else," I asked.

"Take this," he said throwing me a scroll.

"What's this for," I asked.

"You're the two clans mediator, we might need you to help solve some disagreements," he said.

"Alrighty then," I said before turning to continue our journey toward Atlas.

"So what did you say was our plan again," I asked.

"We're going to walk about an hour away from here and I'm going to shoot off a flair to indicate the search party of our location," he said.

"Sweet because these clothes aren't exactly clean y'know," I said.

"Good will make the idea of you surviving out here more believable," he said.

We walking in silence for maybe ten minutes before I spoke up trying to break said silence.

"So I learned something," I said.

"What's that," he asked.

"Jacques isn't my father," I said.

This caused him to stop in his tracks.

"Do you know who your father is," he asked.

"No I don't," I said.

"Never took Willow for a cheater," he said.

"Never believed Jacques' penis worked," I said.

Ironwood starting laughing at my comment.

"With how Winter is I never expected something like that to come out of a Schnee's mouth," he said trying to compose himself.

"Why thank you," I said.

We returned to silence for another 20 minutes.

"So what do you plan to do with your training," he asked.

"Give me a few months and you'll see," I said.

"Alright," he said accepting my answer.

We went back to not talking until we finally found a flat cliff where a Bullhead could land.

"This should work," he said.

"So what now," I asked.

"We use this," he said pulling out a flare gun.

"Oh, well don't let me stop you," I said.

He raised the gun into the air and pulled the trigger sending a red bulb of light jettisoning into the sky.

"Well what now," I asked.

"We wait 12 minutes then shoot it again," he said.

Not even 5 minutes after the first shot I could hear the sound of a Bullhead coming toward us.

"Well this went far better then I expected," I said.

"Was your first plan to just walk," he asked.

"Yes," I replied simply.

"That would have taken some time," he said.

"I'm aware," I said.

Soon after I Bullhead landed down on the cliff. The door opened to reveal my eldest sister Winter. Her face was calm for a moment before her eyes landed on me. Ears quickly filled with tears before she rushed me. She embraced me in a tight hug and didn't seem to have any plan of letting go.

"It's ok sister, I'm fine," I said finally returning the hug.

"We thought you were dead," she said shakily.

"I know I'm sorry it took so long," I said.

"Come on you two, let's get back to Atlas, Whitley can tell you how he survived during his time in the mountains when we're onboard," Ironwood said.
