POV - Whitley
"So you survived through caves and the small villages further in the mountains," Winter asked.
"Yes," I replied.
"And you were trained by a huntsman in the mountains," she asked.
"Yes," I replied once more.
"Which is why you have those giant blades," she said.
"Yes," I replied again.
"And the bag has what in it again," she asked.
"Gifts from the village," I said.
"Their are holes in your story Whitley," she said.
"Forgive me if my memory isn't exactly perfect the main color I've seen for the past two years has been white, so everything kind of mixes together," I said.
"He has a point Winter, now please let the kid rest he's been walking for days," Ironwood said.
"Sorry Whitley," she said as she looked out the window at the passing landscape.
"You're good," I said as I laid my head back on the headrest.
Slowly I began to feel myself slipping out of consciousness, and before long my world went black.
(Time Skip to Atlas)
"Whitley wake up," I heard a voice say.
Slowly opening my eyes I saw that the person waking me up was Winter.
"Were almost their Whitley," she said.
"Thank you Winter," I said as I sat upon my seat.
"We'll be their in 1," the pilot said.
"Be ready for anything Whitley," Winter said.
Soon I felt us land. Standing up I followed Winter and Ironwood out of the Bullhead onto the Schnee Manor lawn. The door was flung open to reveal none other than my "Father".
"What is the meaning of th-
His eyes landed on me.
"Whitley you are alive," he said.
"Sure am," I said.
"This is a... welcome surprise," he said.
'Sure it is old man'
"Father may I go get myself clean so that we may have dinner as a family," I asked.
"Of course, you know where your room is," he said.
I started walking toward the door.
"James would you like to join us for dinner seeing as it was you who brought my son home," Jacques asked.
"That would be nice," Ironwood replied.
I made my way up the massive main stairs and turn left toward my room. It was strange being back here especially knowing what I know. Looking ahead I could see Weiss walking toward me. It appeared that she was only just seeing me because she was slowly picking up pace.
"Whitley is that you," she called out.
"Hello Weiss," I said as I opened up my arms.
She expressed me in a hug equally as tight as the one Winter gave me.
"They said you were dead," she said.
"That would be easy to assume when someone's Bullhead crashes in the mountains, but I lived," I said.
"Where did you get these weapons," she asked.
"I was trained by a huntsman that lives in a village in the mountains," I said.
"But the weapons, they're crafted so beautifully," she said.
"Their is a amazing blacksmith that lives in the mountains that offered to make me my weapons if I cleared out the mines with them," I said.
"What do you mean by cleared out the mines," she asked.
"The mine that the village gets its dust and ores from was filled with subterranean grimm," I said.
"And you fought all of them," she asked.
"Yes," I replied.
"I see," she said finally releasing me from the hug.
"Listen sister I really need a shower and I proper nights sleeps so if it would be ok, I would like to do that," I said.
"Ok," she said.
Walking past her I finally made it to my room where I found Felix dusting off my dresser.
"Hello Felix," I said.
"Whitley, that you kid," he asked.
"The one and only," I said walking into my room.
"Welcome back," he said.
"It's good to be back," I said.
"So what now," he asked.
"Let me settle in then we'll talk about the next step tomorrow," I said.
"Alright is there anything you need," he asked.
"All I want right now is to take a shower and go to bed," I said.
"Alright I'll leave you to it then," he said walking out of my room.
(Time Skip)
Waking from my sleep I heard a knock at my door.
"Whitley it's time for dinner," I heard the muffled voice of Felix say from the other side of my door.
"I'll be out in a moment," I said getting out of bed.
"I'll tell them you'll be down soon," he said before walking away.
'What to wear, what to wear'
Looking into my closet I was suddenly overwhelmed by the choices.
'What do I... wear'
Looking into the mirror I saw that I was wearing a decent pair of sleep wear.
'I mean I could... no that would make "Father" suspicious'
Looking back around me I noticed that none of the clothes even fit me anymore. Turning around I noticed that I had thrown my bag next to my bag. Walking out of my closet I walked up to the bag and saw my under shirt. Putting that on I had my top covered, now onto my pants. Digging into the bag I saw my sleeping pants.
'He will just have to except this'
Putting them on I was quickly reminded of what I left to be back here. Pushing those thoughts aside J left my room ready to finally face the music. Walking down the hall I could here the sound of Winter and Felix talking.
"Hiw am I going to tell him Felix," Winter asked.
"Simple, just tell him," Fleix replied.
"That's helpful," she said.
"Tell me what," I asked making them aware of my presence.
"Um... what are you talking about," Winter asked.
I could only raise an eyebrow at her attempt to lie to me.
"'Sigh' I guess there's no hiding it now, when you were gone me and Felix became close, and over time developed feelings for one another," she said.
"Ok," I said.
"That's it," she asked.
"As long as you're happy I really don't care," I said.
"Oh, o-o yeah thanks," she said before walking away.
I waited a few moments before turning and giving Felix a questioning look.
"What, did I do something wrong," he asked.
"You know, when J said take care of my sisters I didn't mean that," I said jokingly.
"Well things happened ok," he said.
"Lets just go downstairs," I said before walking away.
"I'm right behind you boss man," he said before following me.
We started walking the never ending halls of the Schnee Manor, the white walls with hints if blue here and there, the carpets that seem to not end, and the eerie silence that seems to live permanently in every room.
"Hey kid," Felix said.
"Yes," I replied.
"You look... built... to say the least," he said.
"Well that's to be expected from a person who practically trained for about 14 months straight," I said.
"Yeah, fair enough," he said.
Not long after we were standing in the dining room. Looking around I saw the General and my mother were sitting next to each other with large loving smiles on their faces as they spoke to one another.
'Hmm, can't hide that from me Ironwood'
My sisters were sitting next to each other talking about training and other huntress things. Mother finally took her eyes off of Ironwood and looked at me. Her face paled as she took in my features trying to decide if I was really me or some allusion.
"Hello mother, how have you been," I said.
"Whitley is that you my little boy," she asked.
"Yes mother, and please, don't call me little boy," I said.
Getting out of her seat she pulled me into a hug equally if not harder than one Winter gave me.
"I'm sorry that I couldn't get back sooner," I said.
She remained silent well still holding onto me.
"I thought I had lost my son," she said.
"I know, and I'm sorry," I said.
She to a step back and looked into my eyes.
"None of that matters now, all that matters is that you're here," she said before walking back to here seat.
Taking a few more steps, I took my seat at the table.
"What would you like to eat," Felix asked me.
"Something simple with steak," I said.
"I'll tell them," he said before walking away.
I sat in silence for a few minutes waiting for someone to talk to me.
"So about your training," Wiess said.
"What about it," I asked.
"Are you going to do something using it," she asked.
"Might try to be a huntsman," I said.
"Really," she asked.
"I don't see why it would be a bad thing to use the skills I have now to do some good," I said.
"That's very noble of you Whitley," Ironwood said.
"Thank you sir," I said.
The door to the dining room suddenly opened revealing "Father". When his eyes landed on me his face quickly became one of disgust.
"What om Remnant are you wearing," he asked.
"I am wearing some clothes that were given to me during my time in the mountains because none of the clothes in my wardrobe fit me anymore sir," I said.
"Well that needs to be fixed quickly, Felix," he said.
"Yes sir," Felix asked.
"I need you to get Whitley's measurements and get him some proper clothing tomorrow," he said.
"It will be done sir," he said.
"Good, now let us eat," he said taking his seat at the end of the table.
It didn't take long for everyone else's food to arrive, but for some reason mine wasn't coming. After five minutes of waiting I heard the massive doors open revealing Felix, but I noticed that he didn't have my food.
"Is something wrong with my reques Felix," I asked.
"The chefs said that they wont waste their talent on something simple," he said.
"What do they mean by that exactly," Jacques asked.
"I don't know what they mean sir," Felix said.
"They had better feed my son or so help me I will ruin their lives," Jacques said.
"There's no need for that, I'm sure I can make better food anyway," I said standing from my seat.
"And what are you to eat," Jacques asked.
"I didn't survive my trek to Ironwood without food Father," I said.
"And who taught you to cook," he asked.
"The woman who trained me to use my weapons of course," I said.
"Your weapons," he asked.
"Again I didn't even get an hour away from the village without running into grimm, she trained me to kill grimm," I said.
"F8ne, go, make yourself something to eat and return I wish to learn more about this woman," he said.
Walking toward the door I turned to Felix and motioned him to follow me. After we were out of hearing distance I decided that we should start planning.
"How well do you know first aid," I asked him.
"Well I didn't go through 3 years of medical school for nothing," he said.
"That's helpful, next if I get to injured to a point where I cannot come home I'm going straight to Ironwood, but I'll need you to cover my ass here," I said.
"And how do you propose I do that," he asked.
"I'm going to take an "interest" in the mines and tell him that even though I'm not the heir to the SDC, that sister could use someone who knows the ins and outs of the mines, as well as someone who can find trustable business partners," I said.
"So sonething like you being invited to learn about some new dust across the continent," he said.
"Yes something exactly like that," I said.
"Question do you actually know how to cook," he asked.
"Yes I do," I answered.
"How, " he asked.
"The woman by the name of Blanc, who trained me in the ways of the Creed, taught me how to cook," I said.
"That's helpful," he said.
"Very," I replied.
(Time Skip to later that night brought to you in part by the author not really knowing how to cook anything other than smash burgers)
"So what mine are you hitting first," Felix asked.
"Mine 17," I replied.
"Alright first step in doing that is," finding someone to smuggle all of the faunus to Menagerie," I said.
"Do you have a idea," he asked.
"Yes infact I do, their is a large merchant ship owned and operated by faunus, I'll try to get in touch with the ship's captain tomorrow during it's next docking," I said.
"Alright, and how do we make sure that the world doesn't view you as someone who kills anyone working for the SDC," he asked.
"I'll do as much reconnaissance in the next month as I can do see how each and every guard and human employee treats the faunus, from thre I will make my decision on how J go about dealing with them," I said.
"Cool and what about the White Fang," he asked.
"What about the White Fang," I asked.
"They may not like someone else doing what you're going to do," he said.
"Of course they won't, I'm going to be using violence," I said.
"The White Fang has changed since you left," he said.
"What do you mean by that," I asked.
"The former High Leader Ghira Belladonna stepped down in order to become Chieftain of Menagerie and named Sienna Khan as his successor and not soon after she changed the White Fang to something akin to a terrorist organization," he said.
"How does this effect my end goal," I asked.
"I don't know, but it is something to keep in mind," he said.
"Alright it's time for me to go to sleep," I said.
"Goodnight kid, don't let planning keep you up all night ok," he said.
"I won't," I said.
He closed the door and walked away leaving me in my room alone. I tried not to think about what tomorrow will bring but failed. So my thoughts went to my real dad, Ironwood, what will I do with him, what will I do about my sisters. Do I tell them, do I not tell anyone, if I tell someone how do I know I can trust them.
'Stop Whitley, just breath'
I closed my eyes and breathed slow and deep breaths, and before long I felt my self, for the third time today, slipping into the world of slumber.
(Time Skip to Morning)
I was awoken by the sound of somebody knocking on my door.
"Time to wake up Whitley," Felix said from the other side of the door.
"I'm up, I'm up," I said as I slowly got out of bed.
"What would you like for breakfast," Felix asked.
"Somethung with a lot if protein, I don't care what it is beyond that," I said.
"Alrighty then," he said before walking away.
Knowing better then to look in my closet for clothes I scanned my room and noticed a neatly folded pile of clothes on my nightstand. Walking over I noticed notices ot had a note on it. Picking up said note I read it.
Went out and got you these last night, they should work for today so we can get you some clothes that you like
'Thanks Felix'
Putting them on they fit for the most part but I did feel restricted in certain area [Head out of gutter now]. Exiting my room I was meet by the distant figure of my older sister.
"Wiess," I called out.
"Yes Whitley," she replied.
"Wait there I want to talk," I yelled before running to her.
"What did you want to talk about," she asked.
"What did I miss in your life when I was gone," I asked.
"Not much I think I've decided which huntsman school I wish to apply to," she said.
"I'm gonna take a blind guess and say it's not Atlas," I said.
"You would be correct, I wish to apply to Beacon," she said.
"Ah the crown jewel of Vale," I said.
"I'm hoping to get away from Father," she said.
"Trust me I've only been back for a day and already wish to run back into the mountains," I said.
She giggled in response. Joining her I began giggling as well, and in no time are giggles turned to laughs.
'This is what I was missing'
We calmed down after a minute of laugh to catch are breath.
"Thank you Whitley, I needed that," she said smiling a real smile.
"It's what I'm here for I guess," I said.
"Yes, so what are you getting for breakfast," she asked.
"Not sure, all I asked was that it had a lot of protein in it," I said.
"Why is that," she asked.
"The only why I'm gonna keep this body is if I work for it," I said.
"You have a point I guess," she said.
"Let's not keep Father waiting any longer," I said as I started walking toward the dining room.
"Yeah, it's to early for one of Fathers lectures," she said agreeing with me.
"I guess I should ask you what you're getting for breakfast shouldn't I," I said.
(Time Skip cause the author is a little to poor to know any high class breakfest items)
"So where to now Whitley," Felix asked as we got in the car.
"Clothes shopping," I said.
"Right away," he said.
"So how did you and my sister become a thing," I asked.
"Well I'll tell you what I was definitely drawn in by her beauty, but after you left the your sisters fell apart. I did my best to hold them up, but Klein is definitely better at handling Wiess-
"I'm talking about my eldest sister right now," I said trying to get him back in track.
"Right sorry, anyway as I was helping her out she began to... observe me per say. After about 3 months she asked me to go into town with her, Oum you should have seen the news. Anyway, she ends up taking to the edge of Atlas and tells me that she would like to go out for lunch the next day," he said.
"And it just went from there," I said.
"Yup," he replied.
"How close are you two," I asked.
"Very," he said.
"Interesting," I said before looking the scroll Schwarz gave me.
I saw five preset contacts on it, reading them I smiled knowing that I could call those I could trust with a press of a button. Looking out of the tinted window I could see the many buildings of Atlas passing by as we headed toward a suit tailor. Looking a to time on my scroll I saw that I had five hours until I needed to meet the boats Captain. The car slowed as Felix parked the car.
"We're here kid," Felix said as he got out of the car.
Opening my door I saw that we were at a simple tailor shop. Stepping into the building I saw a wide selection of material's, ties, jackets, and more. It was a little overwhelming to be honest. Walking over to the counter I saw a small bell that I could ring to get the tailor's attention. Apon ringing the bell I heard something's crash behind a wall to my left.
"Comeing," I assume the cause of the crashing said.
A small wolf faunus emerged from behind the wall and stopped in her tracks when she saw me.
"Hello I'm here to get a suit tailored," I said.
"At a tailor run by a faunus," she asked suspiciously.
"Does it make a difference who runs the shop," I asked.
"No, I guess it doesn't," she said before stepping behind a counter.
"Do you know your measurements," she asked.
"No I haven't had a suit for about two years now," I said.
"Ha ha, now what are your measurements," she asked again.
"Ma'am I just came back from being stuck in the mountains for two years, none of my old clothes fit me anymore," I said.
"Wait what do you mean," she asked.
"Did you not know," I asked.
"I don't pay much attention to the news," she said.
"Probably for the best, I'll just say that I had an accident when in a bullhead traveling over the Atlas mountain's and didn't find my way back till yesterday," I said.
"I see, sorry to hear that," she said.
"I really don't care any more, I'm here now," I said.
"Well then let's get you measured," she said grabbing a measuring tape and walking toward a another room.
"How much business do you get," I asked.
"Enough to keep my store running and my stomach full," she said.
"Let me guess, bad reviews for good work from humans," I said.
"Yup," she replied.
"I'm sorry for my own races prejudice," I said.
"It's funny hearing that from a Schnee," she said.
"Well get used to it because the only reason this Schnee is alive is because of a faunus village in the mountains," I said.
"So you look at the faunus in a good light," she asked.
"Pretty much," I said.
"That's good to hear," she said.
"Alright stand here," she told me.
Standing in the center of the room she crouched down and began taking my leg measurements.
"So how long have you been doing this," I asked.
"23 years and counting," she replied.
"Have you always done it alone," I asked.
"No, back before your father took over the SDC I worked with four other faunus and two humans, together we ande some of the best suits Atlas has ever seen," she answered.
"You miss them," I asked.
"I miss the faunus for sure, the two humans come by and help when I need them to," she said.
"Did something bad happen to the faunus," I asked.
"Thankfully no, they returned to Menagerie," she said.
"Thats good," I said.
"So mind telling me why you're muscles are this large," she asked.
"I was trained by a huntress in the mountains so that I could make my why back to Atlas," I said.
"So let me get this straight, you got in a Bullhead crash, were pulled of said Bullhead by faunus, brought into their town, and trained by who assume is the only huntress in the village," she said.
"Yup," I said.
"You boy, are gonna have some good stories for your grandchildren," she said.
"Thanks," I said.
She stood and raised my arm.
'If somebody does this to me again, it will be far to soon'
"So where are you going after this," she asked.
"Probably another clothes store to find clothes for training," I answered.
"How many suits are you getting," she asked.
"Five from here," I said.
"Five, I haven't had an order that large in awhile," she said.
"Well as you said I'm a Schnee and Father tends to throw a fit if his children aren't dressed up nice," I said.
"I see, how bad are these fits if you don't mind me asking," she asked.
"Weiss' and mine tend to be verbal," I said.
"And the eldest," she asked.
"I don't know," I said.
"Physical," Felix said from the door.
"You could call the general, he is a close friend of your mother," she said.
"I know, but I have a feeling that Father will get what's coming to him soon," I said.
"What do you mean by that," she asked.
"It's just a feeling that someone is going to come along and correct Father's wrongs," I replied.
"Huh, well here's to hoping," she said as she put my arm down before pulling the other up.
'Oum why'
"So that's your plan for school," she asked.
"I was trained by a huntress to be a huntsman and I will be one," I replied.
"What academy," she asked.
"Mostlikly Atlas," I answered still not entirely sure if that was true.
"Close to home," she said.
"Yeah," I replied.
She put the measuring tape around her neck, she looked over her notes once more.
"Alright now we get to look into fabrics," she said.
Leading me out of the room she directed me toward a corner with a desk. Sitting down she started typing away on the computer.
"I'm gonna assume that you're gonna need shades of light blue," she said.
"Oh you know me all to well," I said.
"Are you gonna want five of the same kind of suit or five different kinds of suits," she asked.
"Five different suits," I replied.
"Alright now are you just looking for blazers, vests, or are we talking full sets," she asked.
"All three actually," I said.
"Alrighty now onto the color," she said.
"Well what do you have," I asked.
"Well I have a couple shades of blue that I think you'll like," she said standing up and walking over to a wall with dozens fabrics at up like a bookshelf.
"There's navy blue, bright blue, royal blue, and deep sea blue," she said
"Let's look at bright blue," I said.
She grabbed the fabric I asked for and it look good.
"Can you grab a white that works well with that," I asked.
"Sure thing," she said.
She reached up and grabbed a smooth white fabric.
"This is a nice one, but I don't think the price will bother you to much," she said.
"It is nice, can you also grab a black to match," I asked.
Grabbing the black, she took a minute to observe it before putting it on the table.
"Ok can I have a vest in the blue, a shirt in the white, and a pair of pants in the black," I asked.
"Sure thing, now that covers your vest outfit, now the three-piece," she said.
"You said something about royal blue," I said.
"Yes I did, not many get it," she said grabbing the color.
The color could be described as a deep and vivid blue.
"It looks good," I said.
"So what are we doing with this one," she asked.
"Can I get that color with a gold trim," I asked.
"Little fancy," she said.
"I'm sure Father will find it as a way to show off how well he's taught his son style," I said.
"It feels like all that man does with you three is show you off," she said.
"Because that is all he does with us," I said.
"I'm sorry that your mother was forced to marry such a horrible man," she apologized.
"You have nothing to apologize for, Father is a worm who forced himself into a high seat in the SDC which made my grandfather marry my Mother to him instead of the person who he wanted her to marry," I said
"Who did he want her to marry," she asked.
"The general, who might I add was dating my Mother at the time," I said.
"Really, huh I wonder how that would have turned out," she said.
"Far better," I said.
"Heh, probably," she said.
"So that covers your three-piece," she said.
"Now I think I'll do a simple navy blue two-piece," I said.
"Alrighty, now what do you want for the other two," she asked.
(Time Skip)
"That went well," Felix said as we reentered the car.
"Yes it did," I said.
"So how are you going to get to the captain," he asked.
"Well he should be heading to his cabin now so I best get changed," I said.
"I'll head as close to the edge of Atlas as I can," he said.
"Thank you Felix," I said.
"It's my pleasure kid," he said.
Driving through the busy Atlas traffic I saw only dull colors.
"Something wrong kid," Felix asked.
"No, I'm worried," I replied.
"Why," he asked.
"What if he doesn't want to help," I answered.
"Then we'll find someone who will help," he said.
"You're right," I said.
"I know," he replied.
"Ok smartass," I said.
"We're almost there so get ready," be told me.
Grabbing my bag I looked through it and made sure I had everything.
"We're here kid," he said stopping the car.
Getting out I saw an old warehouse. Running in it looked just as bad inside as it did outside, the whole building was falling apart. Putting down my bag I pulled my pants down and changed into the Brotherhood pants. Next off was my shirt feeling the cold Atlas air against my skin reminded me of the mountains. Throwing on my shirt I reached down into the bag a grabbed my vest and looked at it for a second. Thinking back to yesterday I started laughing about what Madam Belyy said, putting it on I clipped the sides to gather. I grabbed my wrist weapons a attached them to my wrists. Crouching down I pulled out my coat, examining it I saw no holes. Putting it on I zipped it up and floded over the zipper cover. Last to come out were my mask and necklace. Sliding my necklace on I tucked it into my coat. Looking at my mask I took a minute to think about what is to come, sleepless nights, scars, killing, and the freedom of the faunus. Putting on the mask, I hide the duffle bag under a old machine.
Turning into smoke I flew out of the old building and into the Atlas sky. Turning to the right I saw the edge of Atlas in the distance. Speeding over to it I took a deep breath a stepped over the edge. Falling off wasn't the bad part, it was the bullhead's in the sky that I had to worry about. Turning back into smoke, I barely avoided hitting the top of one.
Looking around I saw I faint outline of a cargo ship. Heading toward it, the outline became less and less faint by the second. Looking down I saw the city of Mantle, it looked different. Speeding up I spotted the captain getting on the boat. Getting above the boat I stopped and landed on the boats top. Sneaking through the boats halls I found a map.
'That's convenient'
Searching the map I spotted the captain's cabin. Heading upstairs I turned to smoke a went into the air ducts. Traveling through them I made my way toward the cabin. Entering I heard the sound of a shower running. Sitting down in the chair that was in the corner. Waiting patiently I heard the shower finally get turned off. The door to the bathroom opened and reveal a salt water crocodile faunus. Walking into his room he grabbed his clothes.
"Hello," I said making my presence known.
He spun around and showed his teeth.
"What are you doing in here, who are you, answer me" he demanded.
"I'm someone who wants to see Jacques Schnee fall," I said.
"So you're some White Fang recruiter, well I'm not joining cause if you haven't noticed, I've got something going for me here," he said.
"No, I want your help smuggling faunus out of Atlas," I said.
"What do you mean, there's is no way you could get all of those faunus through the inspectors," he said.
"That's why you wont be docking on the pier," I said.
"Oh yeah, and where will I dock then," he asked.
"You won't be, you will stay away from land I will get them on your ship," I answeres.
"Why are you doing this," he asked.
"Because I saw the truth of what's going on in those mines and want to stop it," I replied.
"And how do you suppose you'll do that," he asked.
"I'll do it the right way," I said.
"Are you sure that none of my crew will be in danger," he asked.
"I can promise that if anyone so much as gives one of your crew a paper cut, that they wont be heard from again," I said.
"Fine where do I need to be," he asked.
"Take this, open it later and follow the instructions," I said.
"When should I expect to hear from you," he asked.
"Just read it later and you'll know everything you need to know," I said.
"Alright," he said turning back around.
With his back turned I made my escape back through the air ducts.
"So this is a...
(Time Skip)
"Now to the mine right," Felix asked.
"Yes," I said mentally preparing myself for what I might see.
"Alright remember, be back here before 8," he told me.
"I will be, also can you pick up the clothes," I asked.
"Sure thing kid," he replied.
Heading toward Mine 17 I readied myself for the long flight ahead of me. After a few minutes snow started to fall lightly at first, but soon turned into a full blizzard.
'Well isn't this helpful'
Landing above the entrance of the mine I began counting guards. Two ranged guards stood in watchtowers and four guards armed with rifles walked the grounds. Looking around I saw a small building which had to be a observation room. Turning into smoke I went into the room. Staying in smoke form I saw the camera operator looking at something. Peeking over his shoulder I saw what he was looking at. He had is scroll out and was looking at child pornography. I wanted to kill him there and then but I couldn't.
Making my why back out of the building I waited for one of the guards to go in so that I could snatch the code. It didn't take long for one of them to go in and the code was simpler then I thought it was going to be, 1937. With this I entered the Mine and was immediately reminded of Ilia.
'I wonder how she's doing'
The gray walls of the mine was all I could see. Looking down I saw the dust and smoke on the floor. Using my smoke form I blended right in, moving forward I began counting the guards again. 25 guards total, not counting the guard that entered the mine, walked the inside of the mine, none of which were worth sparing. One was far to touchy toward the female miners, some enjoyed beating miners who did nothing wrong. None of them were going to wake up in three days.
Leaving the mine, I flew away as fast as I could. Checking the time I saw that it was 7:30.
'I've got enough time'
Speeding up I felt the snow hitting around my eyes through the holes in the mask.
'Well that went as bad as I expected, 34 total guards total, not bad'
Flying back to the floating city of Atlas was easy it was landing. Getting back to the old factory I changed back into my clothes and called Felix.
"What's up kid," Felix asked.
"Can you come and pick me up at the spot you dropped me off the change," I asked.
"On my why now," he replied.
Walking out of the factory I took a deep breath.
'That's step one complete'
Seeing headlights in the distance I slowed down and landed on the ground. Pulling up I opened the back door and jumped in.
"How'd it go," Felix asked.
"I'm killing all of them," I told him.
"Alrighty then," he said before putting the car in driven and driving us home.
"What now," he asked after a few minutes of silence.
"I need to make a call," I said pulling out The Scroll.
[For context The Scroll is the scroll given to Whitley by Schwarz, I just don't feel like writing 'the scroll given to him by Schwarz' every time he uses it]
Selecting the contact titled Captain I waited for him to pick up.
"So soon," he said.
"Tomorrow, also seeing as we will be working together for the foreseeable future I should probably know your name," I said.
"The names Brutus, and what do I call you," Brutus asked.
"Death," I replied.
"Little edgy don't ya think," he said.
"It was the name given to me by the Dark Brotherhood," I told him.
"Alright Death, I'll see you tomorrow," he said.
"Yes tomorrow," I said before hanging up.
"We're about half way home kid," Felix said.
"Good, I'm ready to go to bed," I said.
