POV - Whitley
Knock Knock
"Time to wake up Whitley," Felix said from the other side of my door.
"Come in," I said.
Felix opened the door and entered with a tray of food. Placing the tray on the small table near the door he closed the door behind him.
"Late night," he asked.
"You know it," I replied.
"If you want your food you're going to have to sit up," he said walking over to me.
Forcing myself to sit up I felt my side light up in pain. Laying back down I went to hold my side before stopping myself.
"What's wrong kid," he asked putting the food on my bedside table.
"Lucky bastard got a good hit on my side is all," I said.
"Is there anything I can do," he asked.
"Let me concentrate," I said.
Focusing on my aura I felt it's soft heat encasing my body. Focusing on my side I felt the heat centralize itself around the pain. Slowly the pain subsided as the small wound was mended by my aura.
"Are you good now," he asked.
"Yup," I said.
"Well here is your breakfast," he said.
"What is this special treatment for," I asked.
"A congratulations for a successful raid," he said.
"Thank you Felix," I said.
"No problem, message me when you're done," he said before leaving.
Looking down he had brought me pancakes and sausage.
'Guess this is my reward'
(Small Time Skip because there's nothing interesting about eating)
"What do you mean you can't find them," I heard Jacques yell from down stairs.
'Seems he's heard the news'
Going down the stairs I stood next to Winter.
"What made him this mad," I whispered to Winter.
"Somebody attacked Mine 17 last night," she whispered back.
"Who would do that," I whispered.
"No idea but I think the the General is going to put me on this case," she whispered.
"Why," I whispered.
"Because he said that the next case that opened up would be mine," she whispered.
"Huh," I whispered.
"Then get someone to look into it gaster," Jacques yelled before hanging up.
"What happened Father," I asked.
"It appears that someone has threatened or livelihood," he answered.
'Our?'
"What do you mean Father," I asked.
"Some faunus attacked and killed all of the guards and freed all of the faunus from Mine 17," he yelled.
"What do we do Father," I asked.
"We wait until the General and his men find and kill this delinquent faunus," he replied.
'Wonder how that's gonna turn out'
"Well I need to get going," Winter said.
"Yes yes, make sure you tell James to get to work on this," he said.
Winter left the house after this. Turning to leave I made my way toward my room.
"What are you going to do Whitley," Weiss asked from behind me.
"Train, would you like to join me," I asked.
"That sounds wonderful," she said before entering her room.
Walking toward my room I began thinking about what happened last night.
'I lost control, but how'
Reaching my room I entered and grabbing my training outfit. Locking my door I began to change. Stopping with my shirt off I looked at my reflection my chest was lightly scarred. Looking away I went back to changing my clothes. Once I was done I grabbing my weapons and made my way toward the courtyard.
"Hey kid, what's with the get up," Felix asked.
"Weiss invited me to train," I replied.
"Oh good," he said.
"Is that all," I asked.
"Do you know what your next step is," he asked.
"We'll talk about that later," I answered.
"Alright, enjoy your training," he said before returning to his previous task.
Reaching the courtyard I began stretching.
'I wonder how much she's improved since I was last here'
After a few minutes she still hadn't arrived.
'Guess I have time to meditate'
"You're early," Weiss said from the entrance.
'Nevermind'
"You're late," I said.
"Am not, you're just fast," she shoot back.
"Yeah yeah, just get ready," I said as I went back to stretching.
(Time Skip)
Entering my room I laid down on my bed. Grabbing my scroll I turned on the news.
"Good afternoon, this is Magenta Giel with Atlas News Today's big story is a graphic one, so please if you are young or have weak stomach, please change the channel," Magenta said.
'Time to see what they think'
"Last night you are all aware that there was a large explosion outside on Mantel, it originated from the SDC's Mine 17. When the Fire Department arrived they were greated by the site of 5 dead security guards on the ground. Apon further investigation the guards were not killed by the explosion but instead had been killed by blood loss from slit throats," Megenta said.
'Sounds about right'
Buzz buzz
I could hear The Scroll buzzing from inside my bedside table drawer. Opening the drawer I grabbed The Scroll and looked at the screen.
Incoming Call: Captain
Answering the call I put The Scroll up to my ear.
"Hello Brutus," I said.
"You sound younger then I expected," he said.
"Thank you, how are the faunus," I asked.
"They are doing well, how are you doing," he asked.
"I'm doing well thank you," I answered.
"Mind telling me what's next," he asked.
"I'll tell you the same thing I told the others I don't know just yet," I replied.
"Alright, get some rest," he said before hanging up.
'Yeah I'm not gonna be doing that'
"Hey kid, am I ok to come in," a muffled Felix asked from outside my room.
"You're good," I said.
He opened my door with a small small box.
"What's that," I asked.
"The object of my presence," he answered handing me the box.
Opening it I saw a small ring.
"My sister," I said knowing the answer.
"Yes, not any time soon, but I want to have someone in your families blessing," he said.
"My mother is not as blind as you two think," I said.
"What do you mean," he asked.
"She may be a drunk, but she still cares about the three of us," I replied.
"Then why doesn't she-
"Interact with us," I said cutting him off.
"Yeah, why" he asked.
"Because Jacques doesn't want her to," I replied.
"I'm sorry kid," he said.
"It's fine, go talk to her, you'll be surprised," I said.
"I will, but," he said.
"Yes you have my full blessing to marry Winter," I said.
"Thanks kid," he said before leaving my room.
Buzz Buzz
Incoming Call: General
Answering the call I once again put The Scroll to my ear.
"Hello," I said.
"Did you really need to be that violent," he asked.
"No, but it is how I was trained to kill," I replied.
"Can you try to take the violence down a notch," he asked.
"Would you believe me if I told you the ones inside I don't remember doing," I said.
"What do you mean," he asked.
"I caught one if the guards attempting to sexually assault one of the faunus and everything turned red afterwards," I replied.
"I see," he said.
"I'll try to take it down a notch," I said.
"That's all I can ask," he said.
"Have a good afternoon," I said.
"You to," he said before hanging up.
