Not long after, her ability got awakened. She wondered if that blue butterfly is the one that give this power to her. Or did she always have them?

Omega World-line(ω)

Her power is useless. Arcadia Bay or Chloe. Why must she choose between those two? Chloe's death cannot be averted. Even with her power.

No, she can, but in doing so, she condemned thousands of lives to their death. No, if she wanted to save both Arcadia Bay and Chloe, she mustn't use her power. None at all. The cause for the storm is her first-ever rewind in the school bathroom after all. What she needs is a way to use her time power, more specifically her time travel ability, indirectly. Only with that, she can save both Chloe and Arcadia Bay.

For now, she needs to let Chloe be killed.

Alpha World-line(α)

At this time, SERN just assimilated Hawaii to their list of conquered land. 70% percent of the world is now in the palm of SERN.

She never thought someone other than her have the ability to travel back in time. Even though they need a time machine to do it.

Because of that, no one can resist their world domination and dystopian world. Each and every attempt to rebel against the dystopian world get squashed almost immediately. No one could.

Except for her own group and one other group that has been labeled as a terrorist group by SERN. She heard SERN's time machine wouldn't be completed without the betrayal by one of the core members of the other group. She heard the other group even have their own time machine!

All core members of her group and that group are now listed as the most wanted people in the world. Especially the leaders of those two groups, aka herself.

Their modus operandi is almost identical, save for a few minor differences. If her group is specialized in an ambush that is always successful, courtesy of her power of course, the other group is specialized in unconventional warfare with 90% certainty that their attack caused a severe blow to SERN's resources, despite their abilities to travel through time.

The elusive leader of that other group somehow always planned one step ahead of SERN and made SERN look like a fool trying to catch him. It's like he knows what will happen... Just like her, the leader of that other terrorist group, Maxine.

Valkyrie, huh? It's probably time both Maxine and Valkyrie combine their efforts to liberate the world from SERN's dystopian clutches.

Beta World-line(β)

When World War 3 started, she is on vacation near Akihabara, when the first missile exploded on the top of the Radio Kaikan building, signifying the start of World War 3.

The resulting chaos and hasty running to safety have caused her to miss a man wearing a black shirt, who's just running beside her. If only she were more observant that day, she can meet him. The mysterious man she met before at the empty world.

Gamma World-line(γ)

Hmm. The Committee held another meeting? What a pain...

It has been 3 years since she becomes a dictator of North America under the name of Noir Angel. All of it. Many of the members tried to protest at first, but all of them mysteriously died because of sudden cardiac arrest and a knife through their throats. Of course, this make her the prime suspect and many ordered her to be killed. Since they don't have the ability to control time like her, it's pointless trying to assassinate or outright kill her. After all their plan has been thwarted by her, with the help of the sole member that strangely doesn't want to kill her, Hououin Kyouma, they grudgingly give the entire North America to her.

"Tell them I'm busy today."

Yep. Life has been good.

Delta World-line (δ)

Ugh, why does she have to stay in Japan?

She now staying at Akihabara to further her studies in photography, recommended by Mr. Jefferson's friend, Professor Leskinen from the University of Viktor Chondria. Mostly because he doesn't want one of his peers, Miss Maho to live here alone. Fortunately, Maho didn't have a stick up her ass like certain people. Plus, her stay in Japan is half-funded by Professor Leskinen himself, and she needs to be the photographer for all his and Maho's lectures.

She now currently searching for a camera shop. Unaware of her surrounding, she bumped into someone, causing the bundle he carrying to fall to the pavement. She kneels down, trying to help while apologizing for bumping into him. Wait, is that film roll? She needs those!

"Is that camera film!?"

"Uh, yes." He said, in a broken English accent.

"Can I ask where you bought these rolls?" She switched to Japanese. He seems surprised, but he hides it quickly.

"Uh..."

"Ah, my name is Max. Maxine Caufield. Or is it Caufield Maxine?" She smiled and introduced herself. It seems rude to just ask him when they just met. She holds out her hand.

The man in the white lab coat looked at her and smiled too. "Nice to meet you, Max-san. My name is..."

Epsilon World-line(ε)

"Hmm? What this?"

"What happened?"

"I dunno, I got these weird messages from another country." She showed the said messages to Chloe.

"Huh. That is weird. Even for you."

On the one of the Stein;Gate-like World-line...

"We finally met. Properly this time."

"Yeah."

"My name is Maxine Caufield. But you can just call me Max."

"Oh, my name is Okabe Rintarou."

She finally met the mysterious man from the empty world she met a long time ago. Here, at this bar, in the middle of nowhere.

"Nice to finally meet you. At least here, not in that empty world."

"Ah, R World-line."

"R World-line? You named it?"

"Ah... Not me... Someone that came from the future told me its name."

"Future? What do you mean?" Time travel? Did he have power like her too? Did he suffer great consequences from...messing with time too?

"Ah, you see..."

And thus the odd friendship is born, forged with the burden of power and the consequences of using that power as the basis of their friendship.
