"Alright Kira we'll only have one shot at this. We can't afford to mess this up." Came Jarek's voice through Kira's ear piece. Kira was walking down a dimly lit hallway. She was dressed in a dark blue Special Forces outfit with a brimmed hat to match. Her dark, auburn colored hair was extremely noticeable, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

"She knows that you bloody imbicel! Kabal's under heavy lockdown just upstairs. Two guards are watching his cell, guns in hand. You gotta find a way to distract them. A fire alarm might do the trick." Kano also came through on the ear piece.

"Right, you still got a hold of that handcuff key we slipped you?" Jarek asked. Kira moved a hand to one of her pockets and reached to feel the small key within.

"Bingo." She spoke quietly into her ear piece.

"Good, set off the fire alarm, and run back to Kabal. They'll no doubt release him from his cell, and evacuate him from the building as a safety protocol. Meet up with him, and slip him the key. Mate will know what to do with it. When that's all done, confiscate a car, and meet us out of town so we can pick you two up in the helicopter." Kano informed.

"Will do. Meet you there." Kira spoke semi confidently, as she continued walking down the halls. Kira was trying her hardest to keep her composure. Inside she felt an extreme amount of anxiety. She had never been in a situation like this ever before. She was starting to resent herself for volunteering for this mission. What Kano said back at the Dragon Tooth bar was beginning to ring true in her mind. She was no Black Dragon, and maybe she was a complete idiot for even thinking that she could do a job as nerve racking as this one. She knew how vital Kabal was to the Black Dragon. From how Kano put it, Kira seemed to believe that Kabal was the most levelheaded member of Kano's small circle of friends. In her opinion Kano was the hotheaded one, Jarek was the clumsy one, and Tasia was the jealous one. She had paid close attention to Tasia's envious glances as she, and Kano went over their plans for the breakout. Kira could understand why she'd be jealous too. Kira had noticed that Kano was showing her a lot of attention lately, mostly concerning her safety. Something she doubted he did with Tasia when she was left to run the Black Dragon in his absence.

Kira made her way up a long flight of stairs, and from a distance she saw two Special Forces officers with assault rifles placed firmly in their hands. They were standing with their backs turned to Kabal's cell. She couldn't get a good look at him from down the hall. She did however hear one of the guards turn around, and speak clearly to him. "You should eat. Starving yourself is doing nobody any favors. You know Sonya will force it down your throat when she gets back." Kira heard a faint, tired voice answer from the other side of the cell. "I'll break her arms if she tries it again." The guard laughed at this response.

"Then we'd have to execute you for harming an agent." The guard chuckled.

"You think I'm afraid of death?" Kabal's voice echoed grimly. Kira wondered how she would pull this off. Kano, and Jarek had mapped out the perfect day for this mission. Sonya, and Jax were nowhere to be found. Rumors Kira had overheard by some of the guards suggest they both were out taking care of personal business. They haven't been back at the headquarters in a little under a week. Kira studied the two guards carefully. She noticed that they were firmly stationed in front of Kabal's cell, and that was it. The other cells, which were filled with dozens of other nameless faces remained free from view. Why was Kabal such a high priority prisoner? Did they fear another Red Dragon raid, or did they expect Kano, and his crew to come bust him out eventually? Maybe they feared both? Either way Kira had to act. She could sense Kano's anxiety all week, and she figured the sooner he was back at ease the less reckless he would be. Kira made a left down the hall out of sight of the guards, and found a switch connected to a wall. The fire alarm was easy enough to reach, but getting to Kabal would be the hard part. Kira reached her arm out, and pulled the switch quickly, and got the hell away from it.

The sounds of ringing filled her ears, as she made her way back down the hall towards Kabal's cell. The two guards instantly flung open Kabal's cage, and locked a pair of handcuffs tightly around his wrists. This was Kira's first good look at him. He looked different than what she imagined. Kano's stories left her picturing a lean, and fit man, but this clearly wasn't that same man Kano remembered. Kabal's skin was an unhealthy greyish tint, and his body was boney, and slim. His face appeared gaunt, and his hair was a matted mess. His eyes were almost blackened from sleeplessness. He seemed sickly at best. "God damn alarm's fuckin' acting up again!" One of the guards bellowed in annoyance.

"When the fuck is Briggs gonna fix that fucking thing?" The other asked as he escorted Kabal from his cell. Kabal kept his head down, and stood in silence. Kira saw that this was her chance. She approached them swiftly. One of the guards took note of her, and called out to her. "Hey! Go downstairs, and let Gillian know that our systems acting up again!"

"Gillian gave me orders to see if the prisoner had eaten today!" Kira called back over the loud ringing. The guards looked confused at her statement. "What do you mean? Gillian is only the janitor!" One shouted out before he noticed that Kira had pulled her handcuff keys out of her pocket. "Oh fuck she's-" The other guard gasped before steadying her gun. Kira sprinted at them, and Kabal looked up at her as she did so. A sound of a single gunshot echoed off of the walls. Kira had slid between the guard's legs, and stood beside Kabal. She placed the key into his hands, and pushed him away forcefully. Kira was no trained combatant, but she sure as hell was nimble enough to evade the strikes of the two Special Forces operatives. She delayed them long enough for Kabal to slip out of his cuffs. He grabbed the two guards by their heads from behind, and bashed them together, knocking them both out simultaneously. Kira was impressed. A man so small, and meekly possessing enough strength to knock out two highly trained guards at the same time was a remarkable feat. Kira watched on without a word as her, and Kabal locked eyes. She could sense the emptiness inside of him.

"It's about time they sent someone to get me." Kabal spoke emotionlessly.

"We shouldn't keep them waiting." In the same time as he sifted his gaze away from Kira, and directed it down a hall that was filling up with guards who had begun frantically releasing prisoners from their cells. There was so much chaos, so suddenly that the other guards hadn't even noticed that Kabal was uncuffed. Kira, and Kabal managed to avoid detection, and sneak their way to the outside, and down an alleyway where the getaway car had been stashed. After some time Kira had driven them across the town, and to the meeting point. Kabal had sat quietly the entire ride, and didn't speak once. They both slammed the car doors behind them as they got out to see the helicopter lowering towards them. A long rope was flung down from it's open side, and Kira, and Kabal grabbed ahold, and were lifted up into the helicopter. The first person either one of them saw was Kano, who was smiling widely as he pulled them both aboard. Kano wrapped Kabal in a warm embrace, and Kabal hesitated before returning it.

"I was beginning to think I'd never see your sorry ass again mate!" Kano shouted over the propeller blades whooshing.

"Good job Kira, I knew you'd do well!" Jarek told her after patting her on the shoulder proudly.

"So what happens now?'" Kira asked not wanting to ruin the reunion, but she still wanted to know what the plan was for dealing with Mavado, and Daegon.

"Mavado dies!" Kabal bellowed in absolute hatred.
