Rey can't stop looking at the picture Ben sent. She giggles to herself as her eyes rove across every inch of his face. The smile and cute dimples on his face make her smile widely. Rey has always found Ben attractive but never wanted to ruin their close friendship they have. He means the world to her and losing him isn't an option.
When Rey wakes up the next morning, she is surprised by another picture from Ben. When she opens her messages from him, she smiles once again at the sight. Ben stands in her kitchen with his hands on his hips as he looks at one of her plant babies.
The three dots appear suddenly and Rey holds her breath in excitement as she waits to see what Ben writes. He writes, "Someone wouldn't take their daily Vitamin C so I had to give them a talking to." Rey giggles aloud and feels her heart beat quickly as she stares at the picture. Clearly a lot of thought and set up went into taking it and Rey can't help but blush. She tells herself not to get too giddy over any possible implications which may reside in this simple photograph.
Rey hearts the picture and giggles again as she gazes at it a few moments more. Before she heads out to her first conference of the day, Rey texts in return, "I knew I left my babies in good hands!" She almost writes out what a wonderful father he would make but decides against it. Just as she is about to erase the proposed text, the hotel phone rings. Looking at the clock on her bedside table, she realizes her first conference is about to start. Rey quickly grabs her phone with her messages still open and sends the text by accident as she heads out the door.
Back at Rey's house, Ben's heart races as he reads her response to his picture he sent. He had received a notification from her hearting his picture and he was happy she was able to see it. But he would never have expected the kind of response she sent. Him, a wonderful father? The only time Ben ever thought of possibly having any children was one time he spent with Rey at the park. A couple of kids had accidentally kicked their ball over towards them and Rey handed it back to them with such kindness. His heart swelled from seeing her tenderness and he thought she would make a great mother and thought of what a great time they would have together with kids of their own.
Reading Rey's response for the hundredth time, Ben finally decides to heart it and sends back a winking emoji. Later on in the evening Ben smiles as he hears the familiar ding of his phone. He sits on Rey's couch as he opens up his messages. Ben is greeted by a blushing emoji Rey has sent back and a gorgeous selfie of her with her hand over her heart.
With the picture Rey texts, "I hope the babies have been listening better to you." He chuckles and tells her they were perfect angels. They send a few more texts to each other with Ben asking how her first day of conferences went. Rey sends him a selfie with the caption "Me when the boss drones on for a 2 hour lecture with no breaks."
Ben chuckles at the face she makes and writes back hopeful words of a better day tomorrow. They wish each other goodnight and Ben's heart races yet again when he sees the hug emoji Rey sends. He sends one back to her and adds a heart, to which she replies with a heart in turn. Ben smiles as he gazes at her beauty through the pictures she's sent. She lights up his world and he can't imagine a world without her. He places a finger gently on the picture and traces it down her chin, hoping he could hold her and touch her for real. Little does he know Rey does the same with the picture he's sent her while she falls asleep in her hotel bed. This week can't end soon enough.
