Chapter Two:
Three years later...
An alarm goes off in a teenage boy's bedroom waking him up and he reaches over and turns it off. Now awake, the teenage boy sees that he isn't alone for cuddled up next to him, in his bed, is a teenage girl with long black hair with split bangs wearing a white mid-drift tank-top with blue sleeping shorts sleeping soundly. But what stood out the most was the fact the this girl had a set of cat ears sticking out from the top of her head along with two black cat tails sticking out from the small of her back. The boy chuckles at of all the guys this girl could be with, she picked him. Granted, he wasn't complaining mind you. He's just amazed it happened. But right now they both had to get up for school.
"It's time to get up, Kuroka.", the boy said as he gently nudged the girl now known as Kuroka. "We can't be late for school.", he said as Kuroka's eyes fluttered open.
"Nya. Good morning, Marcus.", Kuroka said with a yawn as she sat up in the bed while stretching her arms.
"Good morning, Kuroka.", the boy know known as Marcus said with a smile as he sat up and stretched his arms. "So when did you sneak into my bed?", he asked with a smirk.
"A little after midnight.", Kuroka said with a smile. "As one of your top mates, I figured I'd give you a good morning kiss first. Nya!", she replied with a wink before giving Marcus a kiss that he returned."
"You didn't have to do all that just for a good morning kiss.", Marcus said as the door to his bedroom opened and Shirone entered the room along with Tosca who were surprised as well as upset that Kuroka was in bed with Marcus.
"No fair, Sis!", Shirone said.
"You promise that you wouldn't have sex with Marcus last night!", Tosca said.
"And I kept my word.", Kuroka said as she got out of bed to show that she had the same thing she had on last night. "I simply snuck into Marcus' bed last night to cuddle with him. No sex. Nya!", she said to which Shirone and Tosca pouted still upset just as another teenage girl with long black hair and violet eyes walked into the room wearing a robe.
"Morning.", she said as she laid on the bed with her head resting in Marcus' lap.
"Really, Akeno?", Marcus questioned with a smirk.
"Well everyone else is in here.", Akeno said. "I just wanted to join in on the fun.", she said with her head resting in Marcus' lap."
"I know how we can make it real fun. Nya!", Kuroka said with a smirk getting one from Akeno knowing what the Nekomata was thinking.
"As fun as that would be, we all need to get ready for school.", Marcus said. "We don't want my folks calling us if we're late for school.", he said getting out of bed dressed in a pair of sleeping pants. "Not to mention your folk as well, Akeno."
"Party pooper.", Akeno said with a fake pout getting a small laugh from Marcus.
Agreeing with Marcus the girls left his room to go take their showers and get ready for school. And with two bathrooms, it didn't take long for all of them to do that. Once they were cleaned up and dressed in their school uniforms, they headed downstairs to the kitchen to have breakfast that Marcus, Akeno and Kuroka fixed for everyone while wearing aprons. Once they had their breakfast, they grabbed their school bags and headed for school.
"So anyone from Gremory or Sitri's peerages still trying to get you to join their peerages?", Kuroka asked the others as they walked towards school.
"Someone from Sitri's peerage, named Ruruko, tried to recruit me again.", Shirone said. "It's getting old."
"Tell me about it. Katase and Murayama tried to seduce me into joining the Gremory Peerage, the other day. Kind of sad really. Cute, but sad.", Marcus said. "What about you, Kuroka?"
"Well Sona Sitri... I mean Shitori came to me about it yesterday.", Kuroka said. "Promising me that she'd help me find who killed me and Shirone's parents, but I told her no. I mean why would I work for a devil to find the one responsible for our parent's death?!"
"Well, Isaiah tried to talk me into joining Gremory's peerage as a Knight, but I turned him away.", Tosca said. "And before any of you say anything, I will not be calling him Yuuto. I know him as Isaiah, and that is what I shall continue to call him."
"What about you, Akeno?", Shirone asked.
"Gremory tried to get to get me to join as one of her Rooks, but I kindly turned her away.", Akeno said with a smile.
"Yeah! If by kindly turned away you mean threatening to zap her with some holy lightning after what she tried to do three years ago.", Kuroka replied with a grin getting giggle from the girls.
"Oh brother.", Marcus said as he rolled his eyes with a grin
Soon the group had arrived at the gates of their school. Thus starting another day at Kuoh Academy. Maybe I better explain things, when it comes to their living arrangements. A few months ago, Baraqiel was asked to go and investigate a possible rumor about a secret group that may be a problem in the future. But there was no way that Shuri was going to let him do this alone. Nor were Luca and Zalena. So, they decided to go oth him for back up. Which meant that they had to do something about the young teens and their education as well as finding a place for them to stay. Thankfully, Kuroaka was old enough for them all to stay in the same place together. So they found a house for them to stay. Only problem was that it was in Kuoh. But thankfully, they had a friend who would keep watch over them at a distance. So for the last few months, the five teens have been living together in Kuoh while going to Kuoh Academy, where Shirone is a first year, Marcus and Tosaca second years, and Kuroka and Akeno are third years. Now Kuroka would have been in college but when she took the placement test, she only scored enough to be a third year at Kuoh Academy. She wasn't to happy about it at first, but got over it seeing as she got to spend time with the others. The only reall problem is that Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri, and their servants, have been trying to get them to join their peerages when they sensed what they were and how much power they believed they had. Only to be unsuccessful. Out of all of them it's Akeno and Tosca who are the most annoyed by this. Akeno because of what Rias did three years ago and Tosca because of the fact that Isaiah, AKA Yuuto Kiba, is now a devil to get his revenge for what happened to their friends all those years ago. But that a story for another time. Right now, lets see how the five teens handle another day of school at Kuoh Academy.
"Are we doing any training after school, today?", Tosca asked.
"Not today.", Marcus said. "Why do you ask?"
"Well, Tosca and I plan on going to the candy shop for some gum drops and lemon drops.", Shirone explained.
"Knock yourselves out.", Marcus said. "Just be careful"
"No telling who Grenory and Sitri have watching us, looking for a chance to pull something.", Kuroka said.
"Okay!", Shirone and Tosca said smiling looking forward to going to the candy shop after school.
"So that leaves some alone time for us when we get home.", Akeno said in a sultry voice as she grabbed Marcus' right arm and hugged it against her chest.
"Alone time is good.", Marcus said getting a smile from Akeno.
"I'd like to get in on some alone time.", Kuroka said as she grabbed Marcus' left arm and gave it the same treatment Akeno was giving his right arm.
"Decisions. Decisions.", Marcus said as he walked with both girls into the school with Tosca and Shirone walking behind them.
"Oh , brother.", Tosca groaned as she rolled her eyes.
"In my case it would be oh sister.", Shirone deadpanned before both girls looked at each other giggling
Now about a minute earlier, watching them from the window of the Student Council Office were Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri, who went by Sona Shitori in the Human realm. As they watched them head into the school, one thought went through their minds.
To make them a part of their peerages!
"If we can get at least one of them to join one of our peerages, the rest will follow.", Rias figured. "Only question is, which one? Kiba wishes for that Tosca girl to join my peerage as a Knight, like him. I have no problem with that, but she has made it clear that she wants nothing to do with us."
"If one of us were to get one of the two sisters, the other will give in and join the same peerage just to keep her sister safe.", Sona said. "But then again if we were to get Marcus Doragon to join one of our peerages, the rest of them just may give in and join our peerages.", she said as she saw how Akeno and Kuroka had grabbed onto Marcus' as they were walking into the school. "We just have to find an interesting way to pull it off."
"Everyone has a price.", Rias said. "We just need to find his."
Later that day during lunch, Tosca was heading outside to where the others were to have lunch with them when one Yuuto Kiba cut her off to talk to her.
"What do you want, Isaiah?", Tosca asked not wanting to talk to Kiba yet glad there was no one around to hear them talk.
"Just hear me out, Tosca.", Kiba said. "Please.", he pleaded.
"What's there to talk about?", Tosca questioned. "You became a devil to get revenge for what happened to you instead of trying to live a normal life. And now you want me to join you, as a devil, in your quest for revenge."
"After all we've been through. After all the friends we've lost, don't you want to get revenge?", Kiba questioned.
"Revenge, no. Justice, yes.", Tosca said. "For a while I did want revenge like you do now. But then I was taking in by Marcus' parents who helped me move forward and away from vengeance. Now, I only wish for justice for what happened to us and the friends we've lost. And I will not become a devil to get it. And there's nothing you can say that will change my mind.", she said as she began to walk away from Kiba.
"Please, Tosca!", Kiba pleaded as he suddenly grabbed Tosca by her arm startling her a bit. "You and I are that is left from the Holy Sword Project! We need to work together to make those responsible pay for what they've done!"
"Let me go, Isaiah.", Tosca said in a calm tone.
"Not until you listen to reason!", Kiba said in a demanding tone.
"I believe she said to let her go.", came a familiar female voice that Tosca was glad to hear.
"I'd do as she says before things get ugly.", a familiar male voice Tosca was also glad to hear.
Both Tosca and Kiba looked to see Marcus and Akeno walking towards them not looking to happy with the scene in front of them.
"Let her go, Kiba.", Marcus said as he narrowed his eyes at the blond teen.
"This has nothing to do with you, Doragon!", Kiba said. "This is between me and Tosca!"
"Are you finish talking with him, Tosca?", Akeno asked not taking her eyes off of Kiba.
"Yes. I am.", Tosca said as she yanked her arm from Kiba's grasp.
"Then let's go.", Marcus said as Tosca ran over to him and Akeno.
"Tosca! Wait!", Kiba yelled as he tried to grab for Tosca only for Akeno to strike him with a holy lightning charged slap that knocked him down to the ground stunned by the slap.
"Unless she wants to talk with you, stay away from, Tosca!", Akeno said with a look that told Kiba she was not one to mess around with. "Bother her again, and I'll do worse!", she said as she left with Marcus and Tosca.
Getting to his feet, Kiba brushed himself off before he touched the side of his face where Akeno slapped him winching from the pain of her power.
"That's got to sting."
Kiba turned around to see his fellow peerage member, one Issei Hyoudou walking up to him.
"That holy lightning must pack a punch.", Issei said.
"You have no idea.", Kiba said.
"Don't take this the wrong way, Yuuto, but I think you need to leave Tosca alone.", Issei said. "At least for now. She had made it clear that she doesn't want to be a devil. And you can't force it on her. So let her be for now."
"You're probably right.", Kiba said as they walk off.
"Don't worry to much about it.", Issei said. "Sooner or later, something will happen where you'll have a chance to change her mind."
"Maybe.", Kiba said. "Even during our days of the project, she has always been a bit stubborn."
"Well let's get going. Rias wants to have a quick meeting before lunch ends.", Issei said as they headed for their club, known as the Occult Research Club, or ORC.
'You will be joining us, one day, Tosca.', Kiba thought to himself as he walked off with Issei. 'Make no mistake about it.'
As for Tosca, she was now sitting under a tree with Marcus, Akeno, Kuroka, and Shirone eating her lunch glad to be away from Kiba.
"Are you sure you're okay?", Akeno asked Tosca.
"I'm fine, Ajeno.", Tosca said with a smile. "I just wish that Isaiah would just stop with trying to get me to join Gremory's peerage."
"Still at it, huh?", Kuroka asked getting a nod from Tosca. "This is getting real old, real fast! It makes one want to go to a different school!"
"Well we can't do that.", Marcus said. "But we can make it so that they back off and leave us be."
"And how do you propose we do that?", Shirone questioned.
"Still working on that part.", Marcus said. "Or should I say the elders are working on it."
"How close are they from getting it done?", Kuroka asked.
"From what Elder Talley said, in her E-Mail, pretty close.", Marcus said.
"Well let's hope it's soon.", Tosca said. "Then we can get Gremory and Sitri to back off for good!"
"Amen to that.", Marcus said as they went back to eatting their lunches while talking about other things.
After school Gremory's peerage met up in the ORC for their daily meeting about things. Now maybe I should explain how peerages work. First, each peerage can have a maximum of fifteen members. Each one is represented by a chess piece that grants them certain abilities. The King has great power and skill, while the Queen has the powers of the Rook, Bishop, and Knight without the weaknesses. Now the Rook is the tank of the peerage. Mad strength and defense, yet lacking in speed. If you're a Rook, you'll have to work on your speed along with getting stronger. Next is the Bishop, who has great mana yet is lacking in speed and strength. So that'll be something to work on for any who are Bishops. Then we have the Knight, who has amazing speed, yet is lacking in strength and defense. Again, something to work on. And finally, we have the Pawn. The Pawn... well the pawn has the power of promotion. Meaning, that the can temporarily have the skills of the Knight, Bishop, Rook, or Queen. Granted, they'll they can only do this during battles with the permission of the King or during rating games when they are in enemy territory. So that's how the pieces work.
When it comes to the Sitri Peerage, there are eight members while the Gremory Peerage has nine members. First, there's Rias Gremory, who is the King, of course. As well as a third year at Kuoh Academy. She has blue-green eye and long crimson red hair that goes down to her thighs. She cares for her peerage like they were family and wishes to have more members, yet is having trouble recruiting certain people she wishes to have join her. Her Queen is Issei Hyoudou also known as the Red Dragon Emperor or R.E.D. He is a second year at Kuoh. He has spikey brown hair with brown eyes. He has a Sacred Gear that grants him the power as the R.E.D. that appears in his left arm when needed. Thanks to a friend, of the family, Issei has trained to harness the powers of his Sacred Gear quite well. And thanks to Ddraig, the dragon who's in the Scared Gear, Issei has become quite powerful and a vital member of Rias' peerage. As well as having Rias as one of his lovers. Next is Rias' Knight, Yuuto Kiba who has bluish-gray eyes with short blond hair. He's a second year at Kuoh as well. He is a polite young man who care for all his comrades and will stand by their sides in any battle with his great sword skills. That along with his Sacred Gear, Sword Birth, make him a pretty powerful one man squad. Right now, he is Rias only Knight, yet is on the look out for another to make her peerage stronger. Now we have her only Rook, for the time being, Matsuda Tanaka. Another second year at Kuoh. He has a shaved head with brown eyes. He is not only part of the ORC, but the track team as well. Thankfully, there's no practice today so he can be at the ORC meeting. He has been best friends with Issei and Motohama Yagami for a long time. The three of them have had each others backs since junior high. When Issei learned to control his Sacred Gear, he showed Matsuda and Motohama who were amazed and wanted to learn more about it all. And thanks to Issei and Ddraig's help, Matsuda discovered that he as a Sacred Gear as well. It is known as Cavalier's Guard. It's an silver rectangle shield that is practically invulnerable and can also make a powerful barrier around him and those close to him. With his skills, in track, he more than makes up his lack of speed as a Rook.
Next we have Rias' two Bishops. Gasper Vladi, a first year at Kuoh and Motohama Yagami, who is a second year bespectacled young man with black hair and brown eyes. He is also one of Issei's best friends who has a Sacred gear as well called, Mimic's Eye that takes the form of a pair of gold rimmed glasses that allows him to copy just about any attack he sees with his Sacred Gear. The attack isn't as strong as the original, but it's still powerful. He also is well knowledged in making potions and salves from the many books Rias has in her personal library along with learing many spells. It was thanks to him seeing the weakness in Riser Pheonix's powers that helped Issei defeat him, freeing Rias from her engagment to the man. He one of Kuoh Academy's smartest students who also has a special ability. He can actually tell the measurements of any woman he sees just by looking gat them. And that was before his Sacred Gear awakened! Weird, yet interesting. Now we have little Gasper Vladi who is a first year at Kuoh. He is an anddrogynous-looking male with platinum blond hair in a bob cut with pinkish-violet eyes and pointed ears seeing as he is a Dhampir or Daywalker as some would call him. When Issei, Matsuda, and Motohama first met Gasper they were thrown for a loop when they saw that he was a boy who dressed like a girl. And to make matters worse, the poor guy was a total shut-in who was very timid and afraid to be around people! But it was for a good reason. He has a Sacred Gear called Forbidden Balor View, which allows him to stop anyone or anything within his line of vision. The only ones it didn't work on was Issei because of his Boosted Gear and how powerful it was and Motohama thanks to his Mimic's Eye and how he was able to copy the protection Issei's Boosted Gear gave him. And because of that, they were able to help him get better control of his Sacred Gear which also helped with their victory over the Pheonix Peerage. They, along with Kiba and Matsuda, also got Gasper to start dressing like a young man instead of a girl along with opening up more to everyone there. Granted, known of it would have happened had Rias not told Issei about Gasper in the first place and why he was locked in the room below the ORC. Once she told his about the little Dhampir, Issei took it upon himself to help him out. Thankfully, the others were there to help out as well. Now Gasper is a true member of the peerage.
Finally, we have Rias' three Pawns. Akia Kiriyuu, Katase Oyama, and Murayama Shido who are all second years. First we have Akia who is a bespectacled young lady with pink rimmed glasses. She has hazel colored eyes with brown hair that she normally has tied in two braids that go down a bit past her shoulders, but today she has let. She is as smart as Motohama and helps him in making his salves and potions. She even has a special skill like him, in which she can tell a guy's member size just by looking at them. Which she has used to put a lot of cocky guys in their place. She also has a Sacred Gear called Equus Castor that takes the form of two large black horses that can fight independently for Akia. The horses are shown to be extremely fast, able to move as fast as lightning, and capable of tackling through magic barriers or other thick barriers. And accorcing to Ddraig, and his history when it comes to taking on past host of Equus Castor, the Sacred Gear also possess the ability to turn into two swords, capable of discharging bright blue and violet flames in the form of shock waves. Something Akia has been working at unlocking. She and Motohama are also an item who care for each other very much. Next we have Katase who has brown eyes with short pink hair with a white headband in it. She and Murayama are best friends and they are good friends with Akia. Katase doesn't have a Sacred Gear, but she is a sword Mage. Bascilly, she can harness the power of the elements in her blade for even more powerful attacks. As well as use elemental attacks. Right now, she is good with wind and water. She and Matsuda got together about a half a year ago after they both confessed their feelings for each other. Finally we have Murayama, who has golden colored eyes and long brown hair. She wore bangs with long strands that hung down on both sides of her face. At the back of her head she had two ponytails that were held by red ribbons. She, like Katase are not only members of rhe ORC, but members of the Girl's Kendo Club. It helps them hone their sword skills as well as learn control over their supernatural powers. She is also a sword mage, like Katase. Only she is good with the lightning and ather elements. She is also one of Issei's lovers.
But right now, they are having a meeting about what to do about getting a certain group of supernatural teens to join their and Sona's peerages.
"No matter what we do, they're not going to give in and join us.", Akia said in a bored tone as she sat with Motohama on one of the couches that were in the room.
"How about we challenge them to a rating game?", Gasper suggested. "I can then freeze them allowing you all to attack them hard and fast."
"Easier said than done, Gasper.", Rias said. "You need to have pieces to be in a rating game unless you get special permission."
"And I don't see them accepting the challenge to begin with.", Kiba said. "It was a good idea though."
"Then how about having Issei fight Doragon in a dual.", Murayama suggested. "And when Issei wins, then they'll have to join our peerages."
"Simple and to the point.", Matsuda said. "I like it.", he said with a smirk.
"It is a good idea.", Issei said. "But there are two things we have to think about."
"And what's that?", Katase asked.
"One, will Doragon accept said challenge?", Issei questioned. "And two, can I take him?"
"Of course you can, Issei!", Gasper said. "You're the Red Dragon Emperor after all!"
"He's right, Bro!", Matsuda agreed. "I mean you beat Riser Pheonix, man!"
"Only after Motohama discovered his weakness.", Issei replied. "If he accepts said challenge, Doragon isn't going to waste time and allow me to find his weakness. He'll come at me in full force determine to take me down! Hard and fast! And when he wins, he'll want us to leave him and his friends alone."
"It's what I would do.", Akia said as Issei's Boosted Gear appeared on his arm..
[I would advise that you all leave the Doragon lad, and his friends, alone.] Ddraig said.
"What's bothering you, Ddraig?", Issei asked knowing that something was up.
[There's something about him that feels... familiar.] Ddraig said. [I can't put my claw on it, but I have this feeling that I've seen his type of Dragon-Kin before.]
"I agree with Ddraig.", Aika said. "We've only seen his wings and tail. And from what I've read some have a powerful transformation. One that we don't know if Doragon can do nor how powerful said transformation is."
"You make a good point, Akia.", Rias said. "So until we know what we're dealing with, we leave them alone. Understood?", she questioned getting nods from everyone. "Good. Now if any of you have contracts, go complete them. Kiba I need to speak with you, before you head out.", she said stopping Kiba while all but Issei left.
"Yes, Rias?", Kiba asked.
"I know you wish to have Tosca join us, but from what you've told me, she has made it clear that she doesn't wish to be a devil.", Rias said.
"Yes. She has.", Kiba said.
"Maybe it's time to move on and let her be, Kiba.", Rias said with a sad smile. "At least for now."
"Once we now how powerful Doragon is, we can go from their with Murayama's dual idea.", Issei said. "I'll be more than powerful enough to take him and then Tosca will become a Knight along side you."
"But until then...", Rias began to say.
"Leave her be.", Kiba said. "I understand."
"Good. Now go complete your contracts for the day.", Rias said before Kiba teleported away. "That went pretty well.", she said with a smile.
"For now.", Issei said. "We still need to find out how powerful Doragon is. And that will not be easy."
"I know.", Rias said. "He's not going to accept any challenge that may cost him and his ladies to be servants."
"And to be honest, I'd rather not go through all that trouble.", Issei said. "Besides. Something may come up that will give us the chance to make some, if not all, of them a part of you and Sitri's peerages."
"Maybe, but for now, we let them be.", Rias said.
"Agreed.", Issei said before he reahed out and pulled Rias towards him with a smirk. "Now how about we make use of our free time together.", he said getting a sultry smile from Rias before they shared a kiss.
Issei then scooped up Rias and carried her to her private room where they have their fair amount of "fun" from time to time. Meanwhile, Tosca and Shirone were walking home from the candy after getting the candy they wanted along with some things for the others. Both were happy with what they got and looked forward to having some when they got home. Which didn't take them long to do with the route they took. But once they got to their home, they saw a familiar face they haven't seen in a while walking up to their home. She was a teenage girl with blue eyes and blonde hair in twin-tails dressed in a pair of black shorts with a blue shirt and white sandals.
"Mittelt?!", Tosca questioned getting the girls attention.
"Tosca! Shirone! Are the others home?!", the girl now known as Mittelt asked with a worried look on her face.
"Yeah. Sure. What's going on?", Shirone asked when she noticed the red make on her left cheek showing that she had been slapped and slapped hard. "What happened to you?"
"I need you guys help!", Mittelt said.
"Come on in.", Tosca said as the three of them headed inside.
Once inside, the others were surprised to see Mittelt with Tosca and Shirone, yet knew something was up by the worried look on her face.
"Hey, Mittelt. It's good to see you but what's brings you here?", Marcus said before Mittelt ran up to him and hugged him while she began to sob. "Mittelt?"
"Please help me!", she cried softly. "Please!", she pleaded before Marcus pulled away from Mittelt and looked at her with concern.
"What happened to you?", Marcus asked.
A few hours later, Marcus was laying on his bed letting everything Mittelt told him and the girls sink in. And it was a one heck of a pill to swallow.
(Flashback)
"What happened to you?", Marcus asked.
"Can I have something to drink first?", Mittelt asked.
"Of course.", Akeno said as she went and got Mittelt a glass of water.
About a minute later, she returned with said glass and gave it to Mittelt who drank some water before sitting the glass on the coffee table so she could tell her story.
"It all started about a couple of weeks ago when I was assigned to watch over a teenage nun, named Asia Argento who was excommunicated from the church.", Mittelt began to explain. "From what I was told, I was to watch over her until it was time to bring her here to Kuoh for protection. At least that's what I was told, by Dohnaseek."
"What do you mean?", Kuroka questioned.
"A couple of hours ago, I learned the horrible truth!", Mittelt said sadly as her eyes began to water. "They're going to remove Asia's Sacred Gear from her!", she said earning gasp from the others.
"That's not good.", Tosca said knowing full well what will happen to the girl once her Sacred Gear is removed from her seeing as she too has a Sacred Gear of her own.
"No it's not.", Akeno said. "Who is with Dohnaseek on this, Mittelt?"
"Kalawarna and Raynare.", Mittelt said. "Along with some mages and a former exorcist named, Freed Sellzen. Guys a total nut job!"
"Lovely.", Kuroka deadpanned. "I take it that all this is going to happen soon."
"Tomorrow night. Raynare said something about a full Moon being the right time to pull it off.", Mittelt said. "I tried to talk them out of doing it, but they're dead set on going through with it. They said that it was Kokabiel's orders."
"Kokabiel?!", Akeno, Kuroka, and Marcus questioned.
"Yeah.", Mittelt said. "When I told them that we should go to Azazel and talk to him about it, Raynare decided to get rid of me. It was then that I knew something was off. I then made a run for it, only for Freed to chase after me. I was lucky to escape with a light bomb and go to where Azazel was staying at, here in Kuoh. But when I got there, I found that the place was totally empty except for a note saying that he was out of town to handle something important.", she said as she took out said note and handed it to Akeno who read it. "It was then that I came here, to you guys, for help."
"Kuroka! We need a barrier to hide Mittelt!", Marcus said.
"Already on it!", Kuroka said as she erected a barrier to block Mittelt's presence from her former allies. "There. If they were looking for you, they won't find you now so long as you stay in the house."
"Thanks.", Mittelt said with a smile. "But what about Asia?"
"We'll rescue her and bring her back here.", Marcus said. "We would go tonight, but..."
"We're having a surprise visit from someone from the school board of Kuoh Academy.", Kuroka said.
"How do you know that?", Tosca asked.
"I may have overheard some of them talking about it while I was coming to meet up with you guys for lunch, today.", Kuroka said with a sly smile. "Point is, we have to be here when they come for their surprise visit."
"Why don't some of us go help Mittelt rescue this Asia girl?", Tosca questioned.
"Because the one coming here is in league with the devils.", Kuroka answered. "If one of us isn't here when they come, they'll think I'm not a reliable enough to be watching over you guys and have us put in those apartments where Gremory and Sitri's peerages live."
"Which will make for all kinds of problems.", Akeno said.
"So for now, we stay here and strike tomorrow.", Marcus said just as a knock came at the door. "Now I wonder who that could be.", he sadi having a feeling of who it could be as he headed for the door.
"Come here, Mittelt!", Akeno said as she had her sit in a chair that she put in the corner in the corner. "Sit here and don't move. I'm going to put up a cloaking barrier around you so our "guest" won't be able to see or hear you.", she said as he put up said barrier. "Stay here until they leave."
"Gotcha!", Mittelt said with a nod understanding the situation.
As for Marcus,he had answered the door to see a woman who was in her mid-twenties with long black hair and gray eyes dressed in a brown female suit with black shoes and black rimmed glasses and a clip board in her hand.
"Hello, Mrs. Hoshi.", Marcus said with a kind smile recognizing her from school.
"Mr. Doragon.", Mrs. Hoshi said. "I am here for a surprise visit to see how things are going with you all."
"Come on in.", Marcus said allowing Mrs. Hoshi inside.
Once inside, Mrs. Hoshi began her inspection of the house hoping to find any problems that she might be able to use to have the school board force them into moving into the apartment building where the Gremory and Sitri Peerages lived. For you see, she along with some of the Kuoh Academy school board are in league with the devils. Not all of them, but some of them. The ones who aren't don't know about the supernatural. At least not yet. So Marcus and the girls have to be really careful as well as be on their P's & Q's so they can live in the house they're in now. They have a back-up plan just in case, but for now, everything is all good.
"Well, it seems that everything is in order.", Mrs. Hoshi said as she finished looking through the house. "You all are doing a good job living here without any adults. Which shows how mature you all truly are. And you, Miss Toujou, are doing a good job as the acting legal guardian of your friends. Even though you are going to school as well."
"Thank you.", Kuroka said with a smile.
"But, the school is watching you all.", Mrs. Hoshi said. "We only do this for your own good. We want all of our students to be safe both in and out of school. If I am to be honest, I would like for you all to be staying in the apartment building where some of our other students, who have no legal guardians, live."
"Thank you for the concern, Mrs. Hoshi, but we're doing just fine here.", Tosca said with a smile.
"That mey be, but there are those that are concerned about four teenage girls living with a teenage boy.", Mrs. Hoshi countered.
"Mrs. Hoshi, we've been through this before.", Marcus said. "My parents took in Kuroka, Shirone, and Tosca years ago and we've all gotten along quite well.", he said as Shirone and Tosca stood next to Marcus. And Akeno's parents are okay with her living with us here as well. So what is the problem, here?"
"For now, nothing.", Mrs. Hoshi said. "Let's just hope it stays that way.", she said as she got ready to leave.
Once Mrs. Hoshi left, Akeno dropped the cloaking barrier around Mittelt allowing everyone to breath a sigh of relief.
"Wow! She was really looking for a reason to have you all live in the apartment building, she was talking about.", Mittelt said.
"That's cause it's where the Gremory and Sitri Peerages live.", Tosca said. "Not a place we wish to be living."
"No kidding.", Mittelt said. "So what now?"
"Now we have dinner and get some rest.", Kuroka said. "Cause tomorrow night, we have a nun to save.", she said to which everyone agreed.
(End Flashback)
"If it's not one thing, it's another.", Marcus said to himself when a knock came at the door. "Come in.", he said at which the door opened to show Mittelt dressed in a pair of teal sleeping shorts and a white mid-drift tank-top. "Good evening, Mittelt."
"Can we talk?", Mittelt asked as she walked into the bedroom.
"Sure.", Marcus said as he sat up on his bed while sitting sideways allowing Mittelt to sit next to him. "So what's up?"
"I know that this may be asking a lot but... Tomorrow, when we go rescue Asia, can you... Can you spare Raynare, Kalawarna, and Dohnaseek? I know it's weird of me to ask after they tried to get rid of me, but I still see them as my friends. Plus, I know that Azazel will be hurt if Raynare were to be killed..."
"Seeing as she's his kid.", Marcus said understanding where Mittelt was coming from. "I promise you this, Mittelt. We'll fight them and defeat them and do our best not to kill them. Okay?"
"Okay.", Mittelt said with a small smile before kissing Marcus in the cheek. "Thank you.", she said as she hugged him.
"You're welcome.", Marcus said returning the hug.
"Can I... stay with you tonight?", Mittelt asked. "I don't want to sleep alone right now."
"Sure thing.", Marcus said as they got under the covers of his bed ready to get some sleep. "You became good friends with this Asia girl, didn't you?"
"When we first met, she didn't see me as a Fallen.", Mittelt said with a smile thinking about Asia. "She just saw me a a normal teenage girl she could be friends with. Which we did. During those few weeks, we had all kinds of fun hanging out before we had to come to Kuoh. Had I known what Raynare and the others had planned for her, I would have taken her straight to Azazel and told him what Raynare, Kalawarna, and Dohnaseek wanted to do to her."
"We'll get her back, Mittelt.", Marcus said before kissing her on the forehead as he held her close. "Good night."
"Good night, Marcus.", Mittelt said as she snuggled up to Marcus getting comfortable.
Slowly, but surely they fell asleep knowing that they had some work to do the next day. Morning came and everyone was up and got ready for the day. After eating a good breakfast, they headed for the forest to do a bit of training like they normally do on the weekends. Once in the forest, they paired up to begin their training. Kuroka and Shirone paired up to work on their senjutsu and youjutsu along with their touki while Tosca paired up with Marcus to work on her sword skills. And finally, Akeno and Mittelt paired up to work on their Fallen powers together.
"You know, it feels good to train with a fellow Fallen.", Akeno said as she summoned her light spear, which was white.
"Well glad I can be of help.", Mittelt said as she summoned her light spear which was pink. "So when did toy get your light spear?"
"When I turned fifteen.", Akeno said as she threw her now glowing light spear at one of the dummies they had set up with a bullseye target on it, hitting the bulls eye. "My father trained me how to use it pretty well."
"Nice throw!", Mittelt said as she did the same with her spear only at another dummy hitting the bullseye. "Sweet!"
"Now let's try moving targets.", Akeno said as she walked over to a nearby rope that was tied to something and pulled it.
Once she did this, ten logs on ropes began to swing back and forth in frint of them. Each one had a bullseye target on them for Akeno and Mittelt to hit.
"Aw, man! This brings back memories!", Mittelt said with a nervous smile getting raised eyebrow, from Akeno that she noticed. "You're father, Baraqiel, trained me in how to use my light spear the same way like this.", she said with a grin getting a giggle from Akeno as they went back to their training.
After their morning training, everyone took the rest of the day to get some rest for what they had to do later that night. Meanwhile, the ORC had gathered together for an emergency meeting.
"What's going on, Rias?", Katase asked.
"It has come to my attention that there may be some Fallen here in Kuoh.", Rias said surprising all but Issei, Kiba, Motohama, and Akia. "And they've been here for a few days now."
"That's pretty bold seeing as this is you and Sitri's territory.", Masuda said.
"When did you find out about it?", Murayama asked.
"Well, Akia and I detected them the other day, but decided to look into it more just to be sure.", Motohama said.
"Once we were sure, we came to Rias about it.", Akia added.
"I then had Issei and Kiba check things out.,", Rias said.
"And that's when we discovered some Fallen lurking around that old abandoned church along with some mages.", Issei said. "What they're doing is beyond me."
"Whatever it is can't be good.", Kiba said.
"I agree.", Rias said. "Which is why we're going to go and take care of it later tonight."
"I say we strike around midnight.", Katase said. "No way they'll see us coming!"
"Good idea.", Rias said. "Midnight, tonight, we'll go after the Fallen and the mages with them.", she said to which everyone agreed.
"I'd also like to know why they're here, knowing that this is our territory.", Issei said.
"We can let one of them live long enough to ask our questions.", Rias said. "The main thing is to stop them from doing whatever it is they have planned."
"Agreed.", Kiba said.
"And here I thought this was going to be a boring weekend.", Akia said with a smirk looking forward to later.
Soon it was around 11:25 P.M. and Marcus and his group were ready to go and rescue Asia, dressed in what they wanted to wear for the upcoming fight. Kuroka was dressed in a a black kimono with a yellow obi, a set of golden beads, and a headband that was ornately detailed along with black sandals. Her kimono was opened at the shoulders showing the red interior as well as showing off her cleavage to distract any male opponents. Shirone was dressed in white yukata kimono that had light blue patterns on it with a light blue obi around their waist and a pair of dark blue shorts with black boots and black fingerless gloves and her kitty cat hair clip. Tosca was dressed in a black shirt and skirt with black short shorts with matching boots with woman's silver chest armor with a women's silver tassel belt along with silver gauntlets with fimgerless gloves, greaves, and a white headband with a sword strapped to her side. Akeno was dressed in a shrine priestess outfit with the top being white and the pants being red with brown sandals. Mittelt was dressed in a black dress with white frills, a large black bow on the front, and a green jewel embedded on the collar, wtith white thigh-high socks and a large bow on her hair. Now instead of shoes, she now was wearing black boots that went up to her knees along with silver round shoulder pads, a small silver breastplate with a women's silver tassel belt, silver greares, and gauntlets with black fingerless gloves. And finally, Marcus was dressed in a pair of black pants with matching boots and a gray t-shirt and brown long coat with matching fingerless gloves.
"Everyone ready to go?", Marcus asked getting nods from everyone. "Then let's do this.", he said before Kuroka formed a large enough magic circle to teleport everyone close to the old church.
About a minute later they were standing close to the church ready to go and rescue one Asia Argento. Wasting no time Shirone and Tosca knocked out the two mages standing guard at the doors to the church. They were about to head inside the church when suddenly two Fallen landed behind them. One male while the other was female. The female had a buxom figure with sharp hazel eyes and blue hair that wen down to her rear with some covering her right eye. She was dressed in a maroon trench coat-like top with a wide collar, with a matching miniskirt, and black heeled shoes. The trench coat top was open at her chest giving Marcus, and anyone else who saw her, a good view of her cleavage. She also had a white shirt underneath her top, which can only be seen from the bottom of the top. As for the male Fallen he was a tall middle-aged man with blue eyes and black hair. He was wearing a pair of black pants and dress shoes along with a gray trench coat and matching fedora hat with black gloves and a white dress shirt.
"Well, well, well. Look who's back, Dohnaseek.", the female Fallen said. "It's little Mittelt!"
"And it looks like she brought some old friends, Kalawarna.", the one known as Dohnaseek said with as smirk.
"And one of them is Baraqiel's half-breed brat!", the one known as Kalawarna said with a sinister smirk.
"Nice to see you two, too.", Akeno said with a sarcastic smile.
"Only warning, you two.", Marcus said. "Give up and walk away."
"Please stop this, giys!", Mittelt pleaded with those she still called friends. "Help us save Asia! Please!"
"Just when we're close to having one of the most valued Sacred Gears in the world?!", Dohnaseek questioned. "You must be joking!"
"You're pathetic, Mittelt!", Kalawarna said with a sneer. "You could have been a part of something great, but instead you turn on your own kind just to save a weak little Human!"
"That Human is my friend!", Mittelt cried out as she glared at her two former friends knowing that she had to fight them.
"You guys go save Asia.", Akeno said as she stood with Mittelt. "We got these two."
"Good luck.", Tosca said as she headed into the church with the others.
"Do you honestly think you stand a chance against the two of us?", Kalawarna questioned with a smirk as she summoned her light spear which was yellow.
"Only one way to find out.", Akeno said with a wink and a smile as she and Mittelt summoned their light spears.
"I don't care who your father is!", Dohnaseek snapped as she summoned his light spear which was blue. "No half-breed is going to best me!"
"We'll see about that.", Akeno said in a serious tone as the four Fallen began their battle.
As for the others, once they headed inside the church they found that there were a good amount of mages there along with a young teenage boy that had white hair dressed in a pair of white pants and shirt with a black long coat woth matching shoes. In his left hand he had a gun while in his right hand he had a sword.
"Well look at what we have here!", the man said. "Some lambs to the slaughter!"
"You must be Freed Sellzen.", Kuroka said as she narrowed her eyes at the boy who smirked.
"That's my name, and who might you be?", Freed said.
"I don't give my name to guys like you.", Kuroka said. "Mittelt said you were a nut job. Looks like she was being nice."
"Where is that dirty little crow? I owe her a bullet.", Freed said as he cocked his gun.
"You'll have to get past me first!", Kuroka said with a glare.
"Fine by me.", Freed said just as Kuroka and Shirone whipped out their ears and tails surprising Freed. "Nekomata, huh?! I always wanted a pet kitty! Looks like I'll be getting two, tonight!"
"Not going to happen!", Shirone said.
"I'll handle Freed! The rest of you go and save Asia!", Kuroka said as she began to use her touki to cover herself in an aura of ki. "I'm going to enjoy this.", she said with a smirk.
"You heard the lady!", Marcus said as he, Tosca, and Shirone headed on to fight off the mages.
"Good luck, Sis!", Shirone said as she left with Marcus and Tosca.
"You're going to need more than luck to beat me, pretty kitty!", Freed said with a smirk.
"We'll see.", Kuroka said as she and Freed charged at each other.
But before Freed could make a move, Kuroka struck him in the gut with a powerful right fist knocking the wind out of him as he was knocked back a few feet coughing.
"Why you mangy, skanky, little-Oomph!", Freed said before Kuroka kicked him in the gut shutting him up.
"Oh yeah!", Kuroka said witha smirk. "I'm REALY going to enjoy this!"
Now it didn't take long for Marcus, Tosca, and Shirone to make short work of the mages with their skills and power. Soon they were heading down to the hidden chamber of the church where they knew Raynare was with Asia. Once in the chamber, they saw a small group of mages along with Raynare and a teenage girl, who they figured was Asia, chained to some strange structure dressed only in a white nightgown with thin straps that went down to the center of her thighs crying out in pain as Raynare was doing the extraction of the girl's Sacred Gear. Raynare was dressed in black strap-like objects around and under her breast with a thong-like piece held around her hips by three thin straps, gloves that ran right up her arms with small lengths of chains hanging from them, shoulder guard-like objects on her shoulders with three large spikes sprouting from right shoulders, and black thigh-high boots. Seeing all this, Marcus, Shirone, and Tosca got to work taking down the mages which was quick and easy. Hearing the noise, Raynare stopped doing the extraction to see what was going on.
"What in the...?!", Raynare questioned as she turned around to see Shirone, Tosca, and Marcus standing among the defeated mages. "NO! What are you three doing here?!"
"Rescuing the nun there!", Marcus said before Shirone moved at incredible speed and punched Raynare in the gut knocking the wind out of her followed by hitting her with an uppercut knocking her out cold.
With Raynare out of the way, Tosca went up to the structure Asia was chained to and used her sword to cut the chained freeing the unconscious nun who began to fall to the floor only for Marcus to catch her in his arms.
"So what do we do about Raynare?", Shirone asked.
"Bring her with us.", Marcus said as he carried Asia out of he hidden chamber. "Maybe Kalawarna and Dohnaseek will stand down when she her defeated."
"Maybe.", Tosca said as she and Shirone dragged Raynare along with them.
Once out of the hidden chamber, Marcus along with Tosca and Shirone saw Kuroka standing over a beaten Freed who tried to get to his feet only for Kuroka to crack him in his jaw knocking him back down.
"I'd give up if I were you, Freed.", Kuroka said still ready to fight on.
"Forget this!", Freed said as he saw Marcus holding an unconscious Asia. "I'm out!", he said as he pulled out a couple of smoke bomb and used them to escape.
"Crap!", Kuroka said as she used her fam to blow the smoke away to find that Freed was gone. "The little snot got away!"
"Forget about him.", Marcus said. "We have to go see if Akeno and Mittelt need help."
"Ha!", Kuroka said as she walked up to Shirone and Tosca and fung Raynare over her shoulder to carry her outside. "Ten to one, they've beaten Dohnaseek and Kalawarna!"
"You might be right.", Marcus said as they headed outside.
Once outside, they saw that Kalawarna and Dohnaseek were indeed defeated with lightning crackling around them from Akeno's holy lightning with Mittelt and Akeno keeping watch over them.
"Told, they'd beat them.", Kuroka said as she laid Raynare next to Kalawarna and Dohnaseek.
"I didn't know I was that strong.", Mittelt said. "Granted, Akeno did most of the work."
"Hey, now. You stunned them long enough for me to hit them with my lightning.", Akeno said with a smile. "It was a team effort.", she said getting a smile from Mittelt.
"Oooooh! What hit me?", Raynare said coming to.
"I did.", Shirone said getting Raynare's attention as she tried to get up only for Akeno to hit her with a small thing of lightning stunning her.
"Aaaah!", Raynare cried out as she fell back down.
"It'll wear off in a couple of minutes.", Akeno said. "After that, I suggest you three leave Kuoh before Gremory or Sitri get a hold of you."
"You'll pay for this!", Raynare said as she glared at Mittelt. "You traitor!"
Saying nothing, Mittelt stood with Marcus and the others as Kuroka teleported them al back to their home leaving the three defeated Fallen alone seeing as all the mages left a long time ago after they were beaten. And like Akeno, told them, the effect of her lightning did were off in a couple of minutes. But instead of leaving town...
"I say we go find them and take them out!", Kalawarna saisd as they got to their feet. "No way they'd see it coming!"
"I agree.", Dohnaseek said. "We can still get Twilight Healing from the girl if we hurry!"
"Let's go!", Raynare said when they were suddenly surrounded by Rias Gremory and her peerage. "Crap! We so don't need this!", she said as they tried to escape only for Motohama to throw a small metal ball at them that sprayed a green smoke that weakened them greatly as they dropped to their knees.
"What did you do to us?!", Kalawarna questioned as she tried to move her wings but couldn't.
"That was a special gas I made that paralizes your wings.", Motohama explained.
"Basiclly put, you three aren't going anywhere.", Akia said.
"Now tell me, Fallen. Why are you here in Kuoh?", Rias asked as she narrowed her eyes at them.
"I suggest you talk, before things get ugly.", Issei said.
"We have nothing to say to you, devils!", Dohnaseek snapped.
"Is that so?", Rias said as she formed a ball of destruction ready to use it.
"Wait! Wait! WAIT!", Raynare said thinking fast. "What if I told that our leader was here in Kuoh and has been here for a long times now?", she questioned surprising the peerage.
"You're lying!", Rias said. "There's no way Azazel would be that foolish to come here!"
"Oh but he is here.", Kalawarna said smirk knowing that they would check it out for themselves.
"I'll tell you where he is in exchange that you let us go.", Raynare said with a smirk.
"Why betray your leader?", Kiba asked.
"We have our reasons.", Dohnaseek said.
"Tell us the address and we'll go check it out.", Rias said as she recalled her power. "If what you say is true, then you'll be free to go. But if your lying... well you know what'll happen."
"Very well.", Raynare said as she told them the address where Azazel lived.
"Go check it out.", Rias told Matsuda and Kiba.
"Right.", the two said as they teleported to the address as close as possible.
"For your sake, he better be there.", Akia said.
"He will be.", Raynare said.
Minutes passed, and boy did they feel long. But soon Kiba abd Matsuda teleporteed back not looking to happy.
"Well?", Issei asked.
"The place is empty!", Matsuda said surprising the thre Fallen.
"What?!", Raynare questioned.
"There's no trace of anybody living there.", Kiba said. "It was totally spotless."
"Oh boy! This won't end well for you three.", Katase said with a smirk.
"No wait! We're telling you the truth!", Kalawarna said.
"You must believe us!", Dohnaseek pleaded.
"No more lies!", Rias said as she formed a ball of destruction again. "This is the end for you three."
"Mind if I get in on this?", Issei asked as he stood next to Rias.
"Dragon Shot of Destruction?", Rias questioned with a smirk.
"But of course.", Issei said as they stood back to back with Issei's aiming his gauntlet covered left hand at the three Fallen while forming a red orb of energy while Rias had her right hand aimed at them with her ball of destruction primed and ready.
"That is going to hurt!", Motohama said.
"Big time.", Akia said.
"Dragon Shot of Destruction!", Issei and Rias shouted as they merged their attacks and fired them at the three Fallen who cried out in pain once the attack hit them.
But for some reason, their bodies vanished in three flashes of light, surprising everyone there.
"Didn't see that coming!", Motohama said. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say that they were somehow able to teleport before the attack did it's thing."
"Granted they did feel some pain from their cries.", Akia said. "But they did teleport away."
"That may be, but they're in a world of hurt.", Issei said. "But do you think they were telling the truth about Azazel being here in Kuoh?"
"If he was, he hid himself well.", Rias said. "We'll check into it later. Right now, I want to know why they were here."
"It looks like a fight broke out here.", Matsuda said. "And it goes inside the church."
"I don't sense anyone inside.", Issei said. "Whoever was here is long gone."
"We can come back here and check things out later today.", Rias said as she checked her cell phone and saw that it was 12:27 A.M. "Right now, lets head to our homes and get some rest. It's been an interesting night."
Agreeing with their leader, everyone teleported to their homes for some sleep leaving Rias alone.
"What is going on here?", she questioned before teleporting to her apartment.
Now in some part of the world, we have a man in his thirties with violet eyes and black hair with some blond in the front. This man is Azazel. Leader of the Fallen. With him are other Fallen who are investigating something he has been looking into for a while. As this was happening, three figures teleport in front of him surprising him and the other Fallen when they see that is is Raynare, Kalawarna, and Dohnaseek badly injuryed from the combined attack from Rias and Issei.
"Raynare?!", Azazel questioned surprised at the state she was in.
"F-F-Father.", Raynare called out weakened before going unconscious.
"Permune! Help me get them to our main medical center!", Azazel said as they teleported them away.
Soon they were in some kind of medical center where Fallen doctor got to work doing what they could to save the three Fallen.
"I need you send word to Le Fay Pendragon and have her come here ASAP!", Azazel said to Permune. "She has what we need to find out what happened."
"Yes, Sir!", Permune said before teleporting away.
"What happened to them?", Azazel questioned worried about his daughter and friends.
Morning came and one Asia Argento woke up, in a bed, confused and wondering one thing.
"Where am I?"

A/N: Talk about your interesting turn of events! First, Mittelt goes to Marcus and the girls for help who help her rescue Asia while Rayenare, Kalawarna, and Dohnaseek get wiped out only to end up at the feet of the last person they'd thought they'd see. What will happen next? Will Azazel be able to save the three Fallen? What will Asia do when she meets her rescuers? Will Gremory and her peerage discover what was going on at the church?
