Heroes Vs Predators Chapter 2
The students belonging to Class 1A at UA High School can't believe their luck.
After all the high schools and class levels that had been put in the lottery for this opportunity, they ended up getting the luck of the draw.
…Not!
One minute Class 1A is on their way to the secret location for the summer training camp and the next they're hit with a new blinding flash of white light that comes out of nowhere, knocking them all out in a flash.
The next thing Izuku Midoriya can recall when he returns to consciousness in the land of the living is falling and a sharp roaring whistling noise as rapid windfall rushes past his ears in the drop.
Izuku opens his eyes to find himself tumbling downward over hundreds of feet much to his alarm with the ground rapidly approaching at every second.
Izuku shrieks in fear, terrified, giant tears streaming from his eyes as the ground continues to get closer and closer.
Echoing screams are mirrored around him. Turning his head rapidly in all directions Izuku can see his classmates in the same state as him. All dropping through the air at insane speeds with little to no chance of stopping.
Izuku doesn't know how he or any of them are going to be able to get out of this one with their lives intact. Hell, he doesn't even have a clue how he's even gotten into this.
They never covered any of this in class.
With his heart racing and plummeting throughout his chest Izuku is starting to think death is going be inevitable the most astounding and unexpected happened.
Out of a device that hadn't been on his chest previously emerges a parachute. The sudden launch harshly yanks his body in the air into a slower descent. Far enough away yet close to the ground at this point that it was still lacking an easy landing of sorts.
The drop is broken by various trees and branches, but it is not enough to bring it to a halt entirely.
Izuku's shrieks are abruptly cut off, landing harshly on his stomach, the breath knocked out of him.
Doesn't matter where you come from or what kind of stuff you're made from, that is always going to hurt.
Taking a moment to catch his breath Izuku groans, checking all his body parts in order to make sure nothing is broken, and shakily rises to a standing position. Coughing Izuku scans the terrain around him to see that he's currently in a jungle and not one he recognizes.
Izuku calls out the names of his classmates, waiting to get a response and receiving none.
Finally, someone answers him back.
"Midoriya!"
It's Shoji.
Izuku spins around to see Shoji rushing in his direction with Tokoyami accompanying him.
Izuku releases a huge breath of relief, running to meet them.
"You guys alright," he asked.
Nodding, Shoji said "Nothing more than a few scrapes."
"Dark Shadow helped to break my fall. Made it a soft landing," said Tokoyami, Dark Shadow hovering at his shoulder.
Wrapping arms around his stomach to keep the nausea down, eyes watering from sheer stress, Izuku whispered "That was so scary."
"You're telling me. I get that Aizawa-Sensei wants to put us through intense training, but this is just ridiculous," said Shoji, incredulously.
Their bedraggled and disheveled appearance is a testament to that.
"No argument there, Kid," said Tokoyami, arms crossed, Dark Shadow bristling next to him. "I don't know about you, but that was the craziest thing that we've ever done, and we've been through quite a lot since starting at UA."
"I don't recall a training session that calls for us to be air-dropped while unconscious. I get that Aizawa-Sensei has unusual methods when it comes to training us, but I really do think he'd mention something about us being unceremoniously dropped from a plane," said Midoriya, eyes narrowed as he attempted to remember what caused them to be in that situation to start with yet not coming up with anything. "Did you see the others?"
"Not after landing, but I could see and hear the others screaming as I know you did. They have to be scattered around here somewhere," deduced Tokoyami.
Dark Shadow lightly hums, nodding in agreement with his host.
Speaking of which…
"Help!"
That's Aoyama.
The three of them then head off in the direction where they can hear Wrecker's voice coming from. Shoji is leading the way. There they find Wrecker hanging upside down in a tree with Ashido and Tokage underneath struggling to reach him.
The others hear Aoyama's cries from wherever spots they landed and come running. Some in groups and others by themselves.
Kirishima takes initiative. He climbs the tree to where Aoyama is stuck and cuts the lines keeping him there with his hardened skin.
Shoji, Koda, and Sato have their arms linked together in order to catch the flailing boy safely. Aoyama is terribly shaken and in shock, but otherwise safe and uninjured.
"Is everyone alright," said Ida, doing a quick headcount of Class 1A.
One by one each classmate voiced their status. Ida in particular is disquieted that their teacher is the only one of their number that is not presently in attendance.
As they congregate together, struggling to shake off the shock of the frightening experience that just occurred to them they'd do best not to linger in one place for too long as they debate on what to do next, contemplating if this is some sort of test.
Little do they know that none of them are going to have the privilege of waiting for help from their teacher or any of the heroes to arrive.
Unbeknownst to them they're being watched.
By ones that brought them here eager for the hunt.
Authors Note:
For those of you on fanfiction I'm sure you've been facing the many unwanted ads when you're reading a story. Well, yesterday, I finally had enough, and I got an adblocker app. It worked! No more ads on any level! The one I got is Adblock Pro: Safari Ad Blocker. It really works. Just follow the instruction video that it attached to it.
Heads up everyone there's someone on fanfiction you need to seriously watch out for. Early a couple of months ago after I woke up I was checking my email and I saw I had a new guest review on my A Dog's Purpose Is Strange Magic 2 sequel. I took a look at it and got a very big shock. Some random person I've never spoken to before on here or anywhere else in my life was basically threatening me. Intimidating and practically ordering me to write a threatening letter to someone on their behalf, telling to stay off of for life or else they and everyone else close to them would be killed, disgustingly telling them to kill themselves. And at the bottom of the message this crazy person wasn't done. Warning me that if I don't send the letter then they would kill me and for confirmation to email them to make absolutely sure I complied with their demands. Of course I did nothing of the sort. Instead of doing what they wanted I reported them to the website, sent copies of this deplorable guest review message to police officer cousins of mine so they could have it on file, and I went to a nearby police station and reported it.
When I spoke to the police officers and they checked everything on the message they saw, that while the address and names of business were accurate the people and their names were not. They agree it was more than likely a scam because of the email address on the bottom in order to perhaps get access to personal information or potentially hack my computer. Despite that I'm still very happy they took it seriously as I showed and told them everything. All the same I'm still very happy that I brought this to the attention of law enforcement. Even though the entire thing might be fake I'm still very happy to have brought this to the attention of those who can do something about it if it was legit in some way. This may have been a scam, but it's obvious these people are beyond irresponsible if they try to goad people into sending death threats to random strangers just to get access to info.
Be that as it may if this does unfortunately happen to you do not send any messages to the email addresses they put down and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you bring the message to the authorities immediately whether it is legit or not.
Because it's a guest review it might not be visible for a couple of days as it loads if it is sent to you. But when it does you should definitely pressing the report abuse button and send it to the email that leads to the support staff that is available.
Just a heads up to those of you who aren't aware of this yet, Email alerts for this website are now only active if Email opts is enabled in account settings.
I hope you all like this one! I certainly did while writing it for your vast enjoyment! ;D
For those of you just starting out with my stuff there are other works on my profile that may catch your interest. I highly recommend you take a look as soon as the opportunity presents itself to you. Who knows, you may be pleasantly surprised by what you discover.
Stay safe everyone. Especially with all of these crazy natural disasters occurring a lot lately due to global warming and climate change everywhere for sure. I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.
So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.
I know I am. ;) See you guys next time.
