The Broken Boosted Gear

By Try Another Time

*In your belief- Kaoru Wada*

The dark sky was usually a sign of bad weather in any civilization but this dark sky was much worse. Every human around the world was looking up towards the sky while shaking in fear.

"This isn't normal." Many humans told themselves that as they also saw the appearance of magic circles with the symbol of the ouroboros dragon surrounding the earth.

"You took them from me!"

The voice of a child reached every spot on the planet. A voice filled with grief, anger, and an uncontrollable bloodlust.

"You took my past. My life, my happiness. You took all of it and I won't let you do that again. I won't allow you to escape my vengeance!"

Very few people were able to move an inch around the planet as their fear of the unknown took over.

The situation was further worsened by the sight of burning children flying around the sky at high speeds while chasing after a mechanized being that kept running away while also shooting the burning children and another large target.

The children were copies of the same child. A small boy with its eyes shining with anger and pain. Their screams as they attacked their target were pure horror material as they called out for salvation. They also appeared to be crying as they chased after their target.

"It hurts!"

"Mom, Dad, save me!"

"I don't wanna die here!"

"I'm scared."

But the children were just one of the elements keeping humans frozen in place.

His crying eyes that matched those of the children lacked any mercy and only chased after vengeance.

His wings were engulfed in flames as they flapped around and protected the body from the attacks from the mechanized being.

His mouth shot massive beams of energy in all directions as the chase continued.

The Welsh Dragon was hunting and everyone was able to appreciate the incredible sight of a monster determined in killing whoever had wronged him in the past.

"Kokabiel!" The Welsh Dragon screamed his name once more before creating several magic circles which then released millions of kamikaze eastern dragons upon the world.

Humans fell to their knees as they expected their end and yet before any spear could ever hope to reach the surface of the planet, the power of a certain being protected the world from its sure destruction.

Millions of magic circles intercepted the attacks that didn't connect with the target and any explosion was swiftly contained by the same powers.

"Don't stop now, my sword. Focus only on the target in front of you and your vengeance. Burn him into ashes and get your vengeance. I'll make sure that this place which you call home is not destroyed." Ophis continued to boost the powers of the Welsh Dragon while also keeping a barrier that separated the fight from the rest of the world.

Everyone could see the massive fight.

Everyone could hear the explosions and screams but the attacks couldn't escape the barrier nor could Kokabiel run away.

Kokabiel's point of view.

"Dammit, all to hell!" Kokabiel continued to fly away as he was chased around the planet. "Why is the ouroboros dragon with him? Why is she helping him? Dammit, I was planning on using the damn humans as some kind of shield. Maybe even, use them to involve the other pantheons."

"You took them from me."

Kokabiel turns his face towards the left only to find the face of another burning child next to his. A spear was being held in his hands.

"My family."

Another one quickly shows up from the right.

"My life."

"My humanity."

"You took all of it."

"My burning body."

"The pain."

"My parents."

"My burning home."

"The charred scent of my skin."

"I won't forgive you."

"I won't forgive you."

"I won't let you escape!"

"You'll pay for everything that you took from me!"

The children surround him once more but this time they block all possible escape routes for him before they pierce his body from all sides.

"Aghh!" Kokabiel screams in pain before being destroyed by the burning crimson flames.

His eyes close for a few seconds before they open up again. He was now inside of a similar different body.

"Was this Kokabiel? The third body since the fight started? Are you really up for the challenge or do I need to take control? Maybe I need to bring my own toys to help you?" Mitsuya asks as the new body is brought into the real world from within Mitsuya's sacred gear.

"Stay quiet. I just need more information to develop a plan to stop him. That speed, power, and defense are far from what I remembered. How was I supposed to know that Ophis was with him?" Kokabiel says while checking his new body for a few moments.

"I'll give you that. I wasn't expecting this either. Maybe a thousand more copies would be enough to bring him down?" Mitsuya snaps his finger.

A thousand new copies of Kokabiel appeared alongside the main one.

"You can keep up with this many can't you?" Mitsuya asks.

"Give a million of those and I'll give you his corpse as a gift." Kokabiel grins as he sets out to face the inclosing dragon.

Ophis's point of view.

"Clones? What sort of allies does this fallen one possess?" Ophis, who's sitting on top of the head of the Welsh Dragon keeps analyzing everything happening around her and her sword.

This was the first time the Welsh Dragon was going all out after all.

How close to infinity could Ddraig get?

How much of her power could he control on his own?

What abilities could he use under this berserk state in which he was now?

Many were the questions of the Ouroboros dragon as the hunt continued but above the rest, she couldn't shake the feeling that this wasn't an enjoyable situation.

Her sword was screaming his heart out and he almost didn't sound the same as the one that would take care of her. A sense of sadness was making its way inside of her and she didn't know why.

"He hurt you and you have destroyed him at least three times but you don't seem to be enjoying it. Why? Why don't you smile?" Ophis asked herself.

While she was deep in thought, an attack from Kokabiel was about to hit her but before the attack could reach her several burning children protected her.

"... At least your mind is not completely gone. Good job my sword." Ophis says before turning her eyes towards Kokabiel. "Now eliminate him until there are no more copies left." Her eyes slightly shift to Mitsuya. "And that man as well. He is an ally of your prey after all."

Meanwhile, Yukime.

The youngest daughter of Tannin sights after finding a safe place for the group of humans that were left in her care. "This place should be good enough for all of you. You're far from the fight and any possible harm. Now don't make the mistake of ever trying to get help from Mitsuya and his group of associates ever again. That man is a menace to both humans and non-humans as well."

Yukime begins to turn around but her hand is grabbed by Irina.

"Why?" Irina asks.

"Why what child?" Yumike asks back.

"Why is Issei a dragon? Why is he involved with the alliance? Why….. didn't he look for me?" The girl's voice breaks down as soon as the last word escapes her mouth.

Yukime turns around. "... You can ask me but I don't have all the answers you might be looking for but I tell you this… it is not easy for someone who has changed so much to go back to a normal life. If there's one being to blame for all that has happened in his life is that fallen angel." Yukime then kneels.

Irina is crying right now and she doesn't know what to say.

"... If you want answers, then look for him in Kuoh but remember this" Her voice turns colder and sharper. "The Welsh Dragon is what he is and that won't change. If you dare to deny him and what he has become, I won't show mercy to you. Accept reality and don't cause trouble for us. His importance to both the alliance and those that are his family is one that you can't hope to understand."

Irina feels the intense killing intent that emanates from within Yukime but instead of being afraid her eyes show burning determination. "I will learn everything that I'm missing. I won't let go of him until I confirm everything with my own eyes."

Yukime smirks. "Then I'll see you in Kuoh. I'll be waiting child. Let's see if you can let go of the past and accept the present."

A magic circle then appears next to Yukime's head. "Yukime what in the name of great red is happening?" Tiamat asks.

"A lot has happened, my king. We started a mission to capture a criminal from Grigory and we ended up finding more than he hoped. Your mate has found his target and he is now hunting him down. He is going all out. Based on what I can see, Ophis is also helping in the fight. I will mobilize to see what I can do to help him." Yukime says.

"Dammit, why did it have to be now? Do what you can. Be mindful of his powers. If he overuses 'Infinity' alongside his flames, the whole planet might be in trouble and maybe even his life. I trust your abilities so don't fail." Tiamat sounds very serious and concerned.

"I won't." The magic circle disappears. Yukime stands up and spreads her wings out. "I'll be waiting child. If your determination is as strong as your eyes tell me we might become allies in the future."

Yukime flies away while leaving the small group of humans behind.

"We must inform the church heads about this." One of the group members says.

"... Yes, we do." Touji reaches out to touch his daughter but she pushes her hand away.

"You knew."

"Irina, he is-"

"You knew all along and stayed quiet. You kept it hidden from me all along. Every time that I said that he was alive and you denied it. How could you?"

"He is a dragon and he has killed humans before. He is a monster, an enemy of humanity."

"And you haven't done it as well?"

Touji is taken back by his daughter's words.

"I read the report of many missions. I know what the protestant church does. Nobody is a saint in this world. I also know about what happened to Masaomi-nii-san; it was you who did it, you were the one that killed him. Mom was right, you lie too much." Irina wipes her tears away. "If he is truly the Issei I know or not, the choice is mine to make. I will talk to my mother and if she can't help me I'll find another way. No matter how long it takes, I'll reach Kuoh."

Irina begins walking away before she pulls a scroll out from her hood. The scroll activates and in a flash of energy the child disappears without leaving any traces behind.

"Touji…. Your child is scary. Just what kind of child can say things like that and be so determined?" Another member of his group asks.

"A child born from my ex-wife and me. I messed up badly and I don't think I can stop her." Touji says as his fears become a reality.

First his wife and now his daughter, his family was falling apart without any way of repairing it. There are so many lies one could make before the truth comes out.

Meanwhile, Tiamat.

"So what's the situation?" Azazel asks.

"Kokabiel has shown up and my mate is going all out. We can expect a bloodbath or even worse. What's making me afraid is the fact that Ophis is helping him for some reason." Tiamat admits.

"She is actually doing something? She must be testing him." Raphael suggested.

"Most likely. She calls him her sword and we know that her goal is killing Great Red." Serafall joins in.

"Your group seems to be filled with unexpected members. Do you have control over Ophis?" Gaia asks.

"No, but she's usually inactive due to her unusual relationship with the Welsh Dragon," Azazel replies. "He doesn't ask her for help and neither do we. This is the first time she has actively acted since she "joined" the alliance. This is bound to attract the attention of many of the alliance's enemies."

"The Khaos brigade might make an appearance," Serafall suggests.

"Most likely." Tiamat joins in.

Echidna looks at the alliance members. "Just how many of these unexpected situations do you get."

"A lot but we adapt and take care of them. Gaia, we're not saying that we're perfect but we do the best that we can to protect this world and the other realms. Any help we get is more than welcome and yours is critical for the future. We have to secure the earth and its inhabitants before Trihexa comes." Raphael says while focusing his eyes on the goddess. "For the sake of this planet and many lives, help us."

Gaia ponders. "How can I be sure that you won't betray me? How can I be sure that all of you won't betray each other and go back to fighting once everything is set and done?"

"We're willing to put our souls on the line for it. Father discussed this with me before and he said that the time for the reconciliation between the factions was upon us. The path won't be easy and many will oppose it but we have to try." Ganesha says.

"Mother." Echidna turns to her mother-in-law.

"I know. I have been asleep for too long and I need to do what I can for the children on this planet. I failed to guide my first children and descendants but I can still do something for the ones on this planet." Gaia snaps her fingers and a certain scroll appears before her. "I can join you but I also require your help for something. Very few primordial gods remain but there's one that I wish to save. A certain group of Jotunheim giants left this scroll on my steps five centuries ago. They claimed that Ymir had reached out to them in visions and had asked for help. I haven't heard or seen Ymir since the fight with Odin and his brothers. I thought that he was dead but if there's a minuscule chance of Ymir being alive I want my brother back. If the opportunity shows up, rescue him and bring him to me. I only ask this of you."

Serafall stands up and takes the scroll. "If it's within our possibilities we'll make it happen."

"Good. Now let's continue to discuss the terms of our alliance and your plans for the future. After that, you're free to go and take care of Ddraig's problem. I'll even send Typhoon to help if I deem it necessary." Gaia smiles while she talks.

Echidna sighs in relief after hearing this. An alliance will prove helpful for her descendants in the long run.

Back in the underworld, Rias.

Her chest was hurting for some reason. A sensation that something really bad was happening. The young girl advanced through her house with tremendous speed, leading her to meet up with Shirone.

"Shirone, are you-"

"Feeling that something really bad is happening."

"So, I'm not the only one," Rias said.

"That would make us three, Rias."

Both girls turned their sights towards the direction of the voice only to find Isaiah alongside Okita. The young blond-headed boy had grown a bit taller and the small scar on his left cheek was an obvious sign of his harsh training.

"My pupil told me about feeling something bad and I can't have him being distracted while practicing. Seems that he was right since Sirzechs-sama just called all of his pieces back to him." Okita explains while approaching the girls alongside the boy.

"Okita-san, could you tell us what's happening?" Rias asks.

"Most likely the Welsh Dragon if I had to guess. Problems come to him even if he doesn't want them. Let's meet with Sirzechs." Okita takes the lead and the others follow soon after.

The walk takes a few short moments until everyone reaches the place of the meeting. Everyone from Grayfia to the tiny form of Bahamut was present in the private office of Sirzechs.

"You were the last one we were waiting on Okita," Sirzechs said while he sat on his desk. "Rias, I don't remember calling for you but I imagine you must be curious about the current situation."

"I am, it's him, isn't it? He is in trouble?" Rias asks.

Sirzechs sights. "He found Kokabiel, or at least that's what the reports are saying. He is going rampant in the human world alongside Ophis. No human deaths have been confirmed due to Ophis's powers. There had been no damages either but the situation can take a turn for the worse at any time. Heaven has seen several "clones" of the targets and confirmed the presence of Mitsuya around the area. We're getting everyone available to move out and secure the safety of the Welsh Dragon while he finishes his target."

"So we won't stop him?" Beowulf asks.

"We can't. He is as angry as he could ever be. We could try calming him down but we know that it would mean death getting close to him while his crimson flames are running rampant. We need to be ready just in case outsiders try to interfere or use this opportunity to kill him. We can also use this chance to eliminate Mitsuya if the opportunity does show itself." Grayfia joins in.

"So, guarding the Welsh Dragon, even the strong need help sometimes," Beowulf says nonchalantly.

"Rias, you won't join this mission. We both know that this is not a child's play and you lack the experience for this kind of mission." Sirzechs says while focusing his eyes on her.

"I know. I won't argue against your decision Oni-sama, just keep him safe. I can't do anything for him right now since I lack power and experience but you can. Please, make sure he is safe." Rias says with all sincerity.

Sirzechs nods. "I will. He's our ally after all. We should depart soon. Rias, you and your peerage should either stay here or go to Grigory. A prisoner has been recently captured and she might hold information that could be very helpful to us. The choice is yours."

"We'll go. Isaiah, Shirone, let's go." Rias turns around and exits the room without looking back.

Isaiah and Shirone excess themselves before leaving as well.

After the children are gone, Okita turns his attention towards Sirzechs. "Why did you send them there? They won't change anything by going there."

"It will give them experience in regards to what our enemies are capable of. If what Grigory sent to me and the rest is true, Mitsuya is far more insane and dangerous than what we initially thought." Sirzechs admits.

"What do you mean?" MacGregor, a young fit man with wavy long blond/brown hair asks.

"That man has no sense of morality or mercy inside of him." Sirzechs takes out a report and gives it to his peerage.

The disgust in their faces was almost instant.

Grigory, Research and Containment Area-1.

A large group of researchers moved back and forth as they followed the orders of Shemhazai.

"Come on, move it. Secure her and make sure she doesn't get a way out. You, tell me what the scanners are showing." Shemhazai orders the researcher closest to him.

"The initial scanning process shows an unknown alloy composition covering most of her crucial body parts and skeleton. There are also many signs of organ replacement around critical areas such as the heart." The researcher informs.

"Organ replacement, talk about going the extra mile for the sake of creating a weapon. What about her soul and brain?" Shemhazai continues.

"... Her brain has been altered severely. Is going to take us a long time before we can even understand all that has been implanted and why so many components were added to her brain. Her soul is a delicate affair, the initial scan shows that it has been damaged due to an unknown cause. We don't know if her memory and former self are even there anymore. We're still trying to figure out how a human was able to do this." The researcher admits.

"That sacred gear has to be the reason. There's a lot we don't understand about the capacity of Innovate Clear. Its potential seems almost limitless on paper. Keep scanning her and remove all weapons and non-critical equipment. Block all signals as well. We don't want her to get out."

"Understood." The researcher walks away.

Shemhazai approaches the pair that brought this living weapon to them. "Raynare, you heard them didn't you?"

"I did." Raynare replies. "I still need to try."

"I won't stop you. Just remember that the result might not be the one that you want. Give us 5 more minutes and you can start with the questions. Keep it together and remember that the Welsh Dragon is still fighting out there. Any information can help him." Shemhazai explains.

"I know. I'll do what I have to." Raynare replies.

"Very well." Shemhazai walks away.

Kuroka, who has been keeping an eye on the prisoner behind the protection glass, then takes the chance to ask a few questions herself. "Are you really ok?"

Rayanare keeps watching Mittlet. "Why wouldn't I?"

"Ray, we have been allies for almost two years. We have been on several missions together and I can tell when you're stressed out just like you know when I'm close to losing it."

"Like with the Nebiros traitors that we hunted down not too long ago?"

"Exactly. You know me as much as I know you. Tell me, are you keeping it together or do you need someone else to take over?"

"I don't know. I want to punch her so bad right now but now that I don't even know if she is the same Mittlet I don't know what to do. She betrayed me; do you know how much I've been wanting to get revenge for that?"

"I know. I killed my former king because of his actions against my sister's safety. I totally get you."

"But now I have to deal with the fact that she might not be the same fallen angel I used to know and that her last memory is asking me for help as she was "erased." This is too much to take in a short period."

"I can tell. If you need a break, someone else can take your spot. Don't force yourself."

Before anyone can continue, one of the fallen angels working under Shemhazai interrupts them. "Raynare, she's secure. You're clear to start."

Kuroka focuses her sight on her ally. "The choice is yours."

Raynare doesn't move or say anything for a few moments before she begins to walk towards the door that leads to the containment area.

The cyborg fallen angel was chained from head to toe while her limbs were secured in place by what seemed to be technologic handcuffs. There were also several runes put in place to prevent her escape.

Raynare looks at the being before her with a mixture of anger and sadness. "Deep breaths, Rayanare. We need information before anything else." The fallen angel gets her emotion under control before she begins with the interrogation.

"Are you really Mittlet? Or are you some kind of copy?"

"This body is that of the fallen angel that was named Mittelt. This is not a clone or a copy. Yet the mind and memories of that fallen angel are no longer inside this body nor its soul intact."

"How and why did that happen?"

"My memory banks possess the records of the project that was initialized 1500 years ago."

"1500 years? Kokabiel disappeared for less than 4 years."

"Time moves differently on the other earth. The fallen angel going by the name of Kokabiel alongside his allies meet Mitsuya Kanzaki and followed him into the world he created thanks to the Longinus: Innovate Clear. In that world, Mitsuya Kanzaki offered Kokabiel the opportunity of making him and his allies into stronger versions of themselves."

"So you're telling me that Kokabiel took all of you and dragged you into this for power?"

"Yes. For the sake of power Mitzuya and his followers had developed many ways in which to make any living being into stronger versions of themselves. Be it through mechanical implants, genetic altering, or soul experiments, Mitsuya has been able to create many ways in which to achieve his goals. The one which was used on this body is called "The Slayer Project." By taking fallen angels as materials, one can create weapons with certain specific alterations capable of eliminating a specific target. This unit was a prototype specifically developed for human extermination and as a prototype anti-angel unit."

"... Then why did you lose all of your memories?"

"The process is not "humane" nor the safest and as the name implies I was the first one to be created. Kokabiel offered "Mittelt" as a test subject. "Mittlet" fought back and tried to escape but was quickly captured and forced through a process that would make her into a docile subject."

Several gasps are heard outside the containment area as everyone hears the interrogation.

"... What about the others? What happened to the other traitors?" Raynare decides to keep it together for the sake of information.

"Each one was turned into a different unit with a specific function. Some were made into prototype god slayers, while others were made into anti-Yokai, anti-vampire, and other extermination weapons. Kokabiel was made into an anti-dragon unit. His original body was dismantled and used as material to create an army of clones capable of eliminating any dragon. The other units that were alongside "Me" are clones that were made as test subjects for this type of tactic."

"Stop, go back to Kokabiel. You're telling me that Kokabiel was made into an anti-dragon unit?"

"Yes. On that earth, Kokabiel fought the imperfect copies of many dragons that were made by Innovate Clear. He lost many times to each of them until he became the ultimate anti-dragon unit. He's capable of slaying any dragon if given enough time to analyze its target. No matter how strong they are, Kokabiel can kill anything as long as it is a dragon. He has killed the copies of all the dragon kings and both heavenly dragons."

Raynare's face grows pale after hearing that. She rushes outside the room in a matter of seconds.

"We need to go now!" Raynare screams.

Everyone snaps out of their surprise and begins to move. Shemhazai is the first to drop his papers and run out of the area.

Raynare rushed out of the area alongside Kuroka without realizing that Rias and her pieces had arrived not long ago. The trio of kids had heard enough information to put things together.

"Issei…" Rias said as the sensation she felt before in her chest became even stronger after hearing what Mittlet said.

Shirone and Isaiah were in the same state but the boy wasn't going to allow this sensation to stop him from doing something.

"Rias, don't lose hope. Master and the others will do something about this. We need to use this chance to get as much information as we can from that thing while everyone else is rescuing Issei." Isaiah says while keeping a calm attitude.

"How can you stay calm in a moment like this?" Shirone asks.

"Because he and the others won't allow him to die. I believe that master and the others will protect him." Isaiah admits with confidence as he moves closer to the containment area. "We got to do our best while the adults are fighting."

Rias and Shirone turn to each other for a few seconds. Both girls nod and follow Isaiah soon after.

Meanwhile, back on the battlefield.

The situation wasn't getting better for Kokabiel or Issei. Clones of the fallen angel were being destroyed left and right by the rampant dragon. The massive beast wasn't an easy target as its claws, tail, and mouths eliminated any clones that were unlucky enough to find themselves near its path.

But even with all of those dead clones under his belt, Issei wasn't saved from getting injured by Kokabiel. One of his eyes had been shot down by one of the clones. His body was starting to get cuts and deep injuries in many places and even his wings were getting severely damaged by the fallen angel.

His state of mind wasn't helping either as he wasn't thinking rationally. His powers were being wasted in blind attacks that were being guided by fury and grief.

"My, my, even an army of copies is not enough to take you down, Welsh Dragon. Your grieving roars and fury are delightful but I think that we need to get serious." Mitsuya thought as he evaded the fire children thanks to a bionic exoskeleton that covered his whole body. The exoskeleton offered him the ability to fly and protected him from most forms of damage while also boosting his fiscal abilities. "Kokabiel is time to bring the big guns. Get ready, I'm letting you use that one unit."

"Perfect." One of the copies said as he picks Mitsuya up. "I can wait to see his corpse."

"Well, Mr. Welsh Dragon, I think it's time to put an end to this game. Let me show you true annihilation." Mitsuya claps before him and the clone is absorbed by a portal.

"Where did they go?" Ophis asks as she looks around.

"I was trying to save this one for later but I have no other choice but to use it against you now. Open up Welsh Dragon, taste this." The voice of Mitsuya is heard by everyone on the planet from an unspecified area.

A massive energy beam pierces the clouded sky with incredible speed. The beam is bigger than Issei's body.

"Move!" Ophis screams as her instincts react to the imminent danger.

The dragon reacts to the voice of Ophis and moves away from the path of the beam.

"That won't help you," Mitsuya says before the beam begins to move and chase after the dragon.

"Don't let that thing hit you," Ophis says as her instincts continue to scream to her to get away.

Issei begins to fly around while evading the attack of his enemies. The beam continues to follow him while the clones try to shoot him down.

The fire children prevented them from getting close to Issei but their long-range attacks were still reaching him.

After a few moments, the attack finally stops. The clones of the fallen angel then keep their distance from him as they await orders.

"Just what is that thing?" Ophis asks. The Ouroboros dragon uses her power to get rid of the clouds covering the sky before her eyes grow wide with surprise.

The humans on the surface look into the night sky only to find another reason to be afraid.

"Welsh Dragon, I present to you the end of your life. The anti-dragon annihilation gun and the tenth fleet of my armada. I will bring the end of this planet, humanity, gods, non-humans and you're going to be the first one." Mitsutya said from within his seat on top of a massive spaceship.

Around him were many other spaceships but in the center of all of them stood a structure.

It was a weapon with the size and shape of a moon but it had a mouth. That same mouth was shooting the same ray that was trying to eliminate Issei at that same moment.

Issei roars and begins to charge an attack while he continues to evade.

"I won't allow that. All ships open fire on the Welsh Dragon. Kokabiel, you better get him this time." Mitsuya orders. All ships obeyed the orders and began to shoot every weapon on board at the same time. The clones join in as well.

The fake moon continues to track the target.

The dragon's eyes grow wide as he sees so many attacks coming in his direction. With his size, he had almost zero chances of evading all of those attacks.

Time slowed down for him as he saw no way out. His remaining reason told him that he needed to protect Ophis at all costs. His energy began to concentrate on a shield around Ophis.

He prepared himself for the worst.

"I won't let you die. Your life is not yours to throw away." A voice called out to him.

The attacks made contact with something. A massive explosion occurred around the area in which the Welsh Dragon was.

Mitsuya waited patiently for the dust to settle. He was expecting a corpse but instead, he found something much different.

"I won't let you die. She told me to protect you and I'll make sure of that. So forget about dying on this day, Welsh Dragon." Yukime said. Her whole body seemed to be in some kind of intangible form. It was similar to a ghost who couldn't be touched by normal means.

Le Fay and Elaine had their hands on her back. They seemed to be tired.

"What are you doing Issei? This is not the dragon I know!" Le Fay said.

Issei's body seemed to be affected by the same power as well. "Yukime? Le Fay?"

"Get your emotions in order. If you continue like this you won't be able to protect anyone. This is not the dragon that I'm interested in so go back to your normal self. Issei Welsh come back to us, to the present, and let the past go." Yukime said as she focused her sight on the enemies. The power vanishes and everyone goes back to normal.

"So what are you three going to protect him all on your own?" Mitsuya asks.

"They don't need to do that." Another voice said. A portal opened up next to the Welsh Dragon and a large figure appeared alongside many monsters. "Mom told me that I might have some fun doing this. Let's see what you got." Typhoon said as he made his presence known.

The monsters that were following him growl and awaited their orders.

Other portals began to appear shortly after as well.

Soldiers and members from the alliance made their appearances as well.

"Sorry for being late," Michael said as he stood with his troops.

"We were getting our remaining troops ready for this." Sirzechs joined in. Devils from all parts of the underworld were present which included the Phenex and Siri clans.

"I brought everyone as well." Tanning says as he gets ready for the fight. His sons and daughters were ready for the fight of a lifetime.

"Mitsuya! Is time to end this." Tobio said shortly after showing up with his own team.

Shiva appears on top of Issei's head. "Ophis, time for games is over. The time for the real fight is now. My student, the one that you want must be inside there but in this state, you won't reach him. Get a hold of yourself now or you'll let him escape." His finger points at the fake moon.

Issei stays silent as his eyes focus on the fake moon.

Mitsuya began to laugh. "Is this all? Do you really think this is enough to take me on?" Mitsuya snaps his finger.

More spaceships begin to appear alongside what appear to be robotic units. Their numbers exceed those of the alliance by a large margin.

"I have been preparing myself for way too long and none of you are going to stop me. I will punish humanity for their sins. I will slay the gods for their indifference and lack of care for their believers. I will eliminate every life form within Yggrasil and from the ashes, a new world will be created by me. I am the chosen one." Mitsuya screamed.

"And who decided that?" A loud voice with the strength of millions of thunders called out to Mitsuya. A portal opened up and a long reptilian body came into view of Mitsuya. On top of its head, a group stood ready for the fight with a tall red-headed man with a hammer as its leader. "For the sake of our believers, I will stop you."

A small group of armored ladies was right behind him alongside two muscular men who were similar to their leader.

A golden western dragon was also alongside them.

Rain began to fall from the sky. "It seems that this child needs to be taught a lesson. I might be a bit rusty since I just got up from my slumber but it is going to be enough for you." Another voice said. A black-haired man with a sword guided his group into the battlefield. A mask covered the top part of his face for some unknown reason. "I am the storm that brings the end of any menace."

A beautiful lady who was wearing a kimono and holding a mirror stood right next to him.

The sound of wings flapping and a loud growl grabbed the attention of everyone as a feathered being joined the fray as well. "Those who know nothing about the past shouldn't assume things." Along the length of its body, thousands of humanoid figures wearing tribal armors awaited their orders. "Allow me to show you the power of a primordial god."

A jade Asian dragon flew into view as well before taking its place alongside Tannin and his group. Tannin turned his attention to the jade beast for a second. "I didn't expect you to show up."

"If it is to defend Gaia, I'll do it. Nobody gets to threaten her and get away with it." The jade dragon admitted.

The loud cry of a falcon was heard before a golden sky ship appeared. A tall bird-headed being stood on top of it with its troops. "If you dare to hurt Gaia, I won't turn my eyes away. I'm the sun that won't disappear."

A flaming beast appeared shortly after while being followed by many creatures. "You're a menace to our home so we won't let you do as you please." The beast said.

An army of beings covered in dark armor showed up as well. A crown sat on top of its leader's head. "We won't hide either. This is currently our home as well and no fake god will destroy it." The voice was that of a lady.

And finally, a lone figure who wielded a shield and spear appeared with her small group. "Thou who dares to make such claims should be ready to pay the price for thy words."

Mitsuya couldn't believe what he saw. "... So you finally dare to show your faces. After so many years this is when you heard the pleads of humanity? So be it. I will see how you fare against my army. Be it Olympian, Egyptian, Shinto, Mesoamerican, Aesir, Yokai, Vampire, or dragon nobody will stop me. All units attack!"

Everyone moves to attack except for the Welsh Dragon. Yukime stood right in front of him alongside the witches. "Not a single step. Not until you're back under control." The frozen beauty approaches the head of the dragon alongside the witches. "Lord Shiva, we'll take care of this."

"He can't fight in this state. We'll keep him safe." Elaine says before she starts setting up several magic circles around the dragon.

Shiva nods before joining the fight.

Yukime and the girls drop on top of his head.

"Yukime-san, will this truly help?" Le Fay asks while doing the same thing as her teacher.

"... I don't know but I have to try. Issei, I'm going to invade the deepest part of you. We need you under control. This anger is not helping you at all and you'll get yourself killed if you fight like this." Her eyes turn to Ophis. "He won't be of any help to you in this state."

Ophis stays silent for a few moments. "Do what you have to do. I'll wait to see the result."

Yukime takes a deep breath. "Realm Invader." Her body goes back to the ethereal form once more before she goes inside of Issei.

A trip to get the normal Issei back had just begun in the middle of a battlefield.

*Notes of the author: Hi…. I apologize it took so long. Elden ring came out and any free time has gone away. The game is too good. Going back to the story, we have begun to learn how far Mitsuya has gone and as you can see many have taken his threat seriously. I decided to use this chapter to introduce a few of the factions that we'll see later on and some of the major players. You might know all of them but go ahead and leave any questions. Also not an avengers reference, most of these groups are not on the best of terms with the alliance, they showed up because each had their own reasons. The next chapter will mostly focus on Yukime's trip through Issei's/Ddraig's mindscape. If Elden Ring frees me from its shackles I might have the next one ready for next week. We'll see what happens. See you next time."
