The Broken Boosted Gear
By Try Another Time
Long Ago.
Sealed in a room behind thousands of protective barriers lay a young goddess. Her room (prison) was packed with toys, food, and everything she might ever need. It was a lovely place if one ignored the fact that it had no windows to look into the outside and just two doors, one that led to the bathroom and the other outside.
"Never go through that door, Pandora. This is my order as your creator." Her creator had said shortly after her creation.
Since that day, she had been sealed inside this room with barely any interaction with other gods or living beings. The servitude only brought her food and cleaned the room. Her creator just came to check on her once in a while, and the other two gods she had seen said nothing to her.
She was lonely.
Then, a new face appeared. Someone opened the door one day, a young lady with lavender eyes. Her long purplish/ light blue hair was tied down in a single ponytail, and her attire was just a simple blue silk dress.
"We finally meet, young sister of mine." The lady said as she approached the child with a smile.
Pandora did not move an inch as she awaited what sort of action this stranger would take.
"Thou are similar to him in appearance but far cuter than any other child I have seen. What's the name given to you by him?"
"..." Pandora did not answer briefly as she examined the stranger. She was curious about what this female needed from her.
"Oh, is thou afraid of me? Be at ease; thou and I are family. The idiot with shining eyes is thy "father" and mine as well. I have waited for a chance to meet you, child. He kept a close eye to ensure I didn't enter but finally went off to screw one of his mistresses. He was trying his best to keep you away from me." Athena touches her head and starts to caress her. "My name's is Athena. Could you tell me thy name?"
Pandora's chest tightens as she feels the warmth of another being. It was the first time someone had been so friendly and welcoming to her. "Pandora… he called me Pandora."
Athena smiles. "Pandora, a beautiful name. The purpose for thy creation is a cruel one. Only Zeus would think about using his own family as weapons. I'll get you out one day. This room won't be thy eternal prison."
"Out? Pass that door?" Pandora's eyes shine with hope.
"Yes, one day. I'll get you out. I'll show you what lies outside." Athena embraces the young goddess. "I won't let that happen. The box will stay close, and this child won't suffer the consequences of opening such a nasty item."
Present day.
Lighting bolts stroke the areas surrounding Mount Olympus as Athena continues evading them all.
"My shield will get too damaged if I start blocking them now. Hestia and the others should have arrived at Hephaestus by now. I just need to wait until they depart-"
Suddenly her eyes capture the sight of a tall, muscular male before her. Long blue hair that resembled lighting, cold shining eyes that offered no mercy, a gold crown sitting on top of his head, and a matching toga that covered the lower part of his body.
"Are you thinking about escaping the mess you created instead of facing me?" Zeus appeared right in front of her before punching her with a gigantic electric fist.
Athena quickly lifted her shield to block as much damage as possible. Her body was sent flying down into the grown around the base of Mount Olympus at an impressive speed, yet she managed to stop herself from crashing at the last moment.
The firstborn of Zeus gritted her teeth as she turned her eyes toward him. "Thou will never change, an old man afraid of losing a throne of trash. You can't drill the idea that I care not a bit for thy crown into your head?"
"Says the child that threatens my crown. I should have killed you back then. You're a threat, and that's not going to change. For the sake of my position as the head god of Olympus, I will slay you." Zeus lifts his hand to the sky before a thousand thunderbolts descend straight into Athena's position.
The goddess quickly dodges the attack with her impressive speed. "Proud warriors, hear my call, Smithe mine enemies down with a million spears!" As Athena chants, an army of purple phantoms created by her powers arise from the ground and start their assault against Zeus.
Inhuman size power spears are shot against the god at immeasurable speeds. Zeus' eyes show concern about the spears, and he quickly disappears in a flash before showing up in a different location.
The spears quickly changed direction as they tracked him down.
"Those nasty powers of yours have always been annoying." Zeus tries to deflect one of the spears by punching it, but when the spear makes contact, it divides into smaller spears that pierce his body. The other spears follow suit, and in a matter of seconds, Zeus gets penetrated by an absurd number of spears.
Blood drips to the ground as the god becomes motionless.
Athena keeps her eyes on the porcupine she has created as her instincts tell her that the fight is far from over.
"How long has it been since I saw my own blood?" Zeus's voice is deep and devoid of any mercy. "Is it time to show you why I'm the head god of Olympus?"
A lightning bolt strikes his body.
Athena briefly covers her eyes due to the light before seeing Zeus's new appearance. A large electric halo rotates behind him, a large curve blade made out of electricity sits on his right hand, and several lighting eagles are flying around him. A crystalline blue chest plate now covered his bare chest.
"Today you die, Athena," Zeus says before he cuts the distance and tries to slash Athena in two.
The goddess evades the initial attack and quickly looks for weaknesses to use against him. The ground struck with the blade is erased due to the attack's strength but is quickly restored by the effects of the box that dwells deep down Mount Olympus.
"His strength and speed have increased. I shall be careful and avoid being pushed against the ropes by him." Athena tries to create distance between them, but the electric eagles make it hard for her to escape as they begin to track her and attack her with their claws.
"Get back here and face me like a true warrior, stupid child," Zeus says as he attacks again.
Athena blocks the birds before she plans a new strategy."Phalanx, now!" Athena shouts.
An army of Phantoms arises again and quickly lifts their shields to block the advance of Zeus.
"Punny puppets, get out of my way." Zeus lifts his blade once more before he tries to erase the phantoms with one single attack.
The blade makes contact with the shields, which creates a significant impact wave, and surprisingly the shields withstand the attack.
"How?" Zeus asks as he tries again.
The Phantoms used this chance to parry the attack and create an opening for Athena. Then, as the attack was repelled, the formation opened up, and Athena blasted the full power of Medusa straight into the eyes of Zeus.
Zeus screams in anguish as his eyes get turned to stone. Like a berserker who has lost eyesight, Zeus starts to attack in all directions, and his wide swings destroy the area around him before the damage is repaired. Lighting bolts hit the area around him, forcing Athena to create distance and evade the attacks.
The eclectic eagles pursued her as they tried to take her down. The beasts were feisty and determined to take a shot out of her face, yet she dealt with their attacks.
"Athena!" Zeus screamed her name. In his blind fury, he went on a rampage, trying to take her down with his curve sword and the constant lighting bolts that continued to fall from the sky.
"A beast that won't learn from the past or strive to become a better version of itself. That's all you are, and I won't put up with it anymore. I'm taking them with me to a better place." Athena started to look for a path to escape.
Zeus was now blind as the power of Medusa had taken his sight away. She only needed to get away, yet destiny had other plans in hand for her. Her instincts alerted her to the approaching danger.
The raging storm increases in severity as a figure descends from the skies. A tan-skinned goddess clothed in a deep blue dress with golden symbols makes her appearance. Her hands were covered in pure, godly energy capable of reshaping the skies into whatever shape she wished. "You couldn't keep your head down, didn't you? You just had to go ahead and incite his anger."
The sea's waters go wild as a figure emerges from the depths. His bare chest was filled with the scars of his many past fights. He had a large dark blue beard and long locks of wavy hair that resembled Zeus. A golden trident sat on his right hand while a blue cloth barely covered his lower half. "This was bound to happen, brother; It is the time to crush her. Niece, let's end this once and for all."
A large male clothed in Greek armor from head to toe descended near Athena. His stature was comparable to Zeus, which was already an abnormally large male. A Xiphos was being held in his right hand while his left had a small black shield suited for parries. A wide grin was visible behind his helmet. "Athena, you have finally crossed the line. After you're dead, I might get my chance. Can this lead to my awaited reunion with Artemis?"
Another male with his head covered by the skin of a lion descended not too far away from Athena. A large club rested on his shoulder. "I don't want to be a part of this, but there's no other way. Surrender now, and Zeus might forgive you once the waters calm down. Don't push me to do this, Big Sister Athena." The male said with a tired voice.
Athena looks at each of them with visible annoyance. "Hera, Poseidon, Orion, and Heracles. Five against one? The odds aren't on my side, but surrendering, I will not. I will face all of you if that's the only way out." A purple halo appears on Athena's back as she prepares to go all out. Her armor starts to shine as a ghostly purpure head arises and merges itself with Athena. Half of the goddess's face changes into that of a different goddess. "Let us fight together, mother."
Zeus stops moving as his ears are drawn to Athena's voice. "There you are!" The god lifts his sword and prepares himself for a thrust attack.
Before anyone could make a single move, a lone arrow impacted Orion's chest. The impact of the arrow sends him crashing into the mountain.
The eyes of those present turned to the source of the arrow.
"Sis, I brought some help!" Artemis says as she arrives with the members of the alliance.
Athena's eyes widened at the sight of the alliance members.
"What? How? Where did they come from?" Athena questions the presence of the alliance for a moment.
Michael smiles at the goddess as he descends beside her alongside Artemis. "Call it being at the right place at the right time, as we didn't expect to come here today and find out you were facing Olympus on your own."
"We were planning to call you after we finished recruiting Hephaestus, but it seems you started a fight all on your own," Ddraig says as he sees the opponents they have around them.
"Athena, we have many things to discuss after this. So let's finish this as quickly as possible." Shiva says before he descends closer to Poseidon's position. "This one is mine."
Poseidon stares at him with the desire to kill.
"Go ahead, Shiva," Tiamat says while she takes her position next to Ddraig. "Athena, is there no way we can evade a fight with them?"
"Thou can ask, but the answer will remain the same," Athena replies.
"Zeus and members of Olympus, back away and let us leave. Athena hasn't killed any of you yet, but blood might be inevitably shed if you continue," Shemhazai says coldly.
"Choose peace today or face the consequences." Serafall joins him.
Zeus grows silent for a second before he chuckles. "The Yggraddsil Alliance dares to come into my realm and tell me what to do? You know no shame. That wretched child has rebelled against me time after time. She had gone as far as trying to steal my creation from me, and now she had taken my eyesight. There's nothing to say; Athena will die today alongside any who dare to stand with her."
"Artemis!" Orion screams her name as he comes out rushing after his target. His lustful eyes were driven mad by her sight.
"You wretched rapist!" Artemis shouts before she starts shooting the giant.
"Shemhazai help Artemis. Shiva, Poseidon is all yours. Ddraig, Heracles is your target; be careful and don't push yourself too far. Michael stays with Athena. Serafall, Hera is ours." Tiamat orders the group as she develops a strategy on the spot.
"Understood." Everyone says.
Shiva quickly grabs the head of Poseidon and drags him away from the rest. One could hear his screams on the horizon as he tried to get away from Shiva.
Shemhazai pulls out his pile driver before he uses it to stop Orion's charge against Artemis. The fallen angel charges the pile driver and uses it to connect an attack straight into Orion's chest, sending him flying into the principal residence on Mount Olympus.
"After him, I'll make sure he doesn't get revived again," Artemis says as she takes flight.
"Alright, let's do this." Shemhazai follows after her.
Ddraig and Heracles stare each other down before disappearing in a flash to start their fight at another location.
Tiamat and Serafall take off to meet Hera in the eye of the storm.
This leaves Michael and Athena against Zeus. The duo stares at the blind god whose eagles are spinning around him.
"I'll follow you'll lead, Athena," Michael says in a low voice.
Even his low tone makes Zeus react. The god transports itself to his position before trying to slash the seraph in half with his sword.
"Die!" Zeus says as his mighty weapon descends.
Michael's body reacted on time, although he was visibly surprised. The Seraph flies away while the eagles chase after him.
Athena joins him and blocks the eagles with her shield. "Don't speak; leave the eagles to me, and watch out for the lightning bolts."
"Got it," Michael replies. The Seraph quickly summons a pair of holy scimitars, which he then uses to block the incoming attack of the blind god. Michael grits his teeth as their swords clash due to the apparent difference in strength. "This is bad; I can't face him head-on."
Athena wastes no time to come in and kick the god back to the ground before she is forced to battle eagles again. "Damn birds."
Michael sees this and decides that it is time to bring the heavy guns. "Golem, hear my call and arise once more from within me." Michael's eyes turn cold and devoid of mercy as the imponent weapon takes shape behind him.
The humanoid giant bears its fangs as his multiple guns start to take aim. "My orders Michael?"
"Michael?" Athena watches the golem from the corner of her eye.
"Scorched earth. Destroy all of those birds and go full assault on Zeus. Anything that threatens Athena or my life should be eliminated. Don't stop until Zeus has been immobilized." Michael orders the golem.
"Understood." The golem opens fire. Millions of projectiles are shot in seconds against the birds and Zeus.
Athena watches as the birds, which shouldn't be tangible, are shot down by the holy power of the seraph.
"Athena," Michael calls out to her.
The screams of Zeus are heard as the golem continues to open fire against the god; although each shot is far from enough to take him down, each projectile is as painful as being shot by explosive rounds.
"You won't die here. I won't allow it. I want to talk to you again and see the future ahead together. So let's defeat this god and return to the alliance." The Seraph says with cold eyes yet a welcoming voice. His hands clasped the scimitars with all of his strength.
Athena's heart beats faster after hearing those words. "Very well, my fellow seraph. Let's go together!"
The pair moves on hand in hand to fight the head of Olympus together. A spear born within Olympus and a couple of Scimitars born within Paraiso are now fighting as allies.
Meanwhile, Ddraig and Heracles.
"Welsh Dragon."
"God of Strength."
Both adversaries continue to look at each other within this new battlefield. They found themselves on a different island devoid of life.
"Is the first time we met; I have heard about your legends for a long time. The one that burns the gods to a crisp with his crimson flames, the beast that challenges death itself, an enemy that few could ever defeat. I never had the pleasure of facing you in my youth. You could have been one of my 12 labors if things had been different." Heracles says before he rushes to attack Ddraig with his club.
Ddraig blocks the attack with Bloody Ascalon and counters with his own attacks. "If things had been like that, you would have died. The "me" in the past would have killed you in seconds. I'm not the hydra; I'm not the Nemean lion; I'm one of the true dragons born within Gaia's embrace. Before you, many tried their best and fell to the "me" back then."
"Does that means I have a better chance now?" Heracles questions him.
Both adversaries exchange blows back. Heracles was giving his all; a yellow halo floated behind his back while Ddraig pushed himself to give a bit more of himself with each second. His crimson crystal horns started to shine each second as the flames that created them began to revive.
"Is this all you can do?" Heracles questions Ddraig as their bodies continue to dance on the battlefield.
"..." Ddraig said nothing and only continued forward. "I can't die here. Let me go farther; the end is not here." The voices of the husks incite him to go all out once more.
His powers began to arise as he pushed on. Heracles was taken back by the increase of power behind his adversary.
"Wow! Are you taking me seriously? Is there more? Am I an adversary worthy of facing the legendary dragon?" Heracles asks.
Ddraig eyes turn cold. "I'm not looking to prove anything. I don't want to test my strength anymore. I have a mission that I need to accomplish, expectations to meet, and a family to protect. What lies ahead is a path for survival that I believe in, one that even Shiva is following. I'll do what's necessary to continue on and see the advent of a new era with them, especially with Issei."
Although cold, his eyes held hope in a dream that Heracles had seen a few times.
"Those eyes…. What do you know? What does the alliance know?" Heracles feels that something is off.
"Find the answer by getting out of this realm and seeing the outside. If you stay here, you won't see what lies ahead. Uniting, we'll survive, but alone we'll all die." Ddraig lifts his sword. "Ascalon, let's go all out. This kid needs to test defeat."
The sword growls as its teeth start to rotate at full speed.
"Ddraig!" Heracles loses his cool after hearing Ddraig's words.
The adversaries clash once more.
Tiamat's and Serafall's POV.
The duo clashed against Hera with the full intent to defeat her.
"Bastards. You dare to come here and help that wretched child?" Hera questions them.
The goddess was put against the ropes by the combined assault of the alliance members.
"You wouldn't understand why we fight even if we told you," Tiamat says. She had transformed into her proper form. Her true form was that of a sapphire humanoid western dragon with broad wings, dual iris eyes, a sharp tail, and several chains tied around her limbs.
Tiamat was injured, yet those same injuries made her strong.
"An idiot will stay an idiot no matter what," Serafall says while several parts of her body where covered in ice. Her eyes glared at the goddess.
"You damn whores, I will take you down and then rip the hearts of those alongside you." Hera threatened them. Her hands accumulate a lot of energy before she fires a beam against them.
Serafall quickly hides behind Tiamat. "All yours, Tiamat."
The true dragon king smirks as she takes the attack head-on.
As soon as the attack makes contact, Hera receives her punishment for her careless attack. Several symbols appear around her body before her body gets blown to kingdom come. Her dress is in shambles after the explosions, and her whole body is even more damaged than before.
The goddess's eyes grow in shock at what's happening. "What is happening to me?"
"You know, this ability of mine is a nasty one. Albion has a poison that kills god, Ddraig has his flames, and I have "True Karma" at my disposal." Tiamat says as the dust settles.
Her body was more damaged, yet that damage had made her even stronger.
"Any form of damage that I receive is triple and sent back to my targets; got to thank Great Red for the upgrade. So be it in the form of explosions, internal damage, or any other shape, a fight against me is one fated to be a gruesome one. Nobody can evade "True Karma," not even gods." Tiamat says with a relentless voice.
Hera is in shock. Her body feels the weight of her mistake. "This is impossible. That means-"
"Any attacks against her will lead only to your demise," Serafall says as she appears before Hera's eyes.
"How-" Hera was cut short.
Serafall sank her fist deep into Hera's belly before she kicked toward the ground. "Take this with you."
A large town of ice gets dropped on Hera's position. The goddess gets buried under tons of ice.
"She won't die with just that. Let me make sure she doesn't get up that easily." Tiamat begins to charge one of her own attacks. Flames accumulate in her mouth at a fast pace.
A second later, she drops what could only be described as a blue nuke on steroids on top of Hera.
Both members hear her screams of the alliance for a few moments before they watch as a burned goddess arises from the debris.
"You whores." Hera looks at them with pure rage. "I'm going to kill you two."
"We'll see about that!" Serafall says before she goes on the attack once more with Tiamat.
Poseidon's POV.
"Why?" Poseidon asks as his body is thrown to the ground, barely alive.
"Why what?" Shiva asks as he cleans his hands.
"Why are all of you here? Why have you invaded our realm?" Poseidon tries to reach for his trident.
"Kid, this is not an invasion. We're only here for our allies. You are still kids thinking about thrones and who owns what. I totally understand being young and trying to prove something or being afraid of losing what little power one has gained, but you have grown stale. You haven't changed anything since the war. How many children did you lose? How many lives have you destroyed with your actions? Are you trying to protect what remains? Are you listening to your believers? Are you trying to fix the broken pantheon you live in today?" Shiva questions Poseidon.
"..." Poseidon remains silent.
"I killed one of my sons once, and Pavarti almost left me after that. So I strived to protect them and never make a mistake like that again. I followed Hindra into the war; I lost two arms, and my sons almost died. Since then, I have sought a path to evade such a gruesome end. I promised Pavarti a future in which Ganesha and Kartikeya or our descendants won't face such a war ever again. So I'll continue to move and guide the alliance to a future in which pantheons are united, in which mortals can live to see another day, a future in which that curse that we gods brought upon ourselves is no longer a threat. I will use these eyes, these hands, and all of my body to achieve that goal. If you and Zeus want to stay here while continuing to indulge in your desires, go ahead, but we will take our allies back to continue forward. Ragnarok will come, and nobody can stop it."
Shiva turns away and leaves the broken god alone with his thoughts.
Cronus killed Uranus back in the day. The Olympians defeated the titans and sealed their father in the depths of the land of death. Yet no matter how much time passed, Shiva remained the strongest god with the destroyer title.
The primordial destroyer who know continues to walk a path toward the future.
*Notes of the author: Another one is done. This small arc will only last until the next one, as Asgard is our primary goal, but we will have a few things to take care of before that. Expect Kyoto soon enough and something extra as well.*
