The Broken Boosted Gear

By Try Another Time

The Past.

Artemis and Athena were peacefully enjoying a day under the bright sun their realm provided them.

"Hey, sis," Artemis asks her sister.

"Yes?" Athena replies back with a question of her own.

"Why do you get involved with so many of our siblings? From Apollon and me to Persephone. You get involved in the lives of almost all of our father's children. Don't you get tired?"

Athena ponders about the question for a few moments before she answers. "I do because I worry for mine siblings. Our so-called father won't take responsibility for any children, and I fear for their fates. We're gods; we need to be careful about any descendants. They need guidance, and we're family. Also, Zeus knows that Hera will go rampant trying to kill any children, which makes her remember his constant escapades. I don't want my siblings to suffer because of his disinterest. When your mother sought help while Hera chased her, I couldn't ignore her. I knew that Zeus would be mad, but I interfered because I cared about the life of my siblings. So I went as far as to tell Leto to stay on earth to prevent Hera from getting to her. Thankfully, Gaia allowed her to continue to live on earth until she went to sleep for eternity."

"We thank you for that. Mom didn't want to see Zeus again after she gave birth to us. We truly have been blessed to have you and Hestia around." Artemis happily smiles as she thinks of the many times she was helped by her big sister.

"We shall always be thankful for Hestia, who has been there for us in our hardest times. As long as we stand together, everything will be fine." Athena says with a positive tone. "I just hope that Zeus stops fathering so many children. I have enough on my plate with the amazons and all of you. We might also need to keep an eye on Apollon."

"Right, his harem keeps growing. Thankfully he has learned to take care of his children and lovers. The question is, why does he have so many feminine men around him? Is that a thing that he got from Zeus?" Artemis asks as she questions her brother's unusual harem members.

"He said once, "If it acts a female and has the characteristics of one, then it is a female." Apollon might just have a thing for anything feminine enough; very beautiful and feminine, men included. We can't do anything about it and just keep watch. We should ensure he continues to take responsibility for every one of his lovers and children. I won't allow him to be like Zeus." Athena says with a serious tone.

"I heard you. It will be alright as long as Apollon takes care of them, but we should ensure he is not forcing anyone to join his harem. Hearing that my twin is a rapist will be a living nightmare." Artemis shrieks at the idea of her younger brother forcing women and men into sexual acts.

"Don't worry; Apollon knows better. Hestia and I had many conversations with him before. He knows what happened with Leto and wouldn't dare to follow in the steps of Zeus. Especially not after that event." Athena focuses her eyes on her sister. "Are you still having nightmares about it?"

"Once in a while. I wake up sweating as I remember Orion's eyes lusting after me or his hands reaching out to touch me. I killed him, yet Zeus brought him back to life; I fear the day I cross paths with Orion again."

Athena grabs the hands of her sister. "Is alright to be afraid. He tried to rape you. I'll make sure he never gets the chance to get close to you again, but if I cannot protect you at some point, make sure to shatter his soul. Shoot as many arrows as needed but make sure they finish the job, Artemis. Orion is not an ally or family to either of us; he's a threat that Zeus, Poseidon, and Hermes created. That "thing" threatens any woman that crosses him. So promise me that your arrows won't miss, Artemis."

Artemis eyes saw the determination behind her sister's eyes. "I…. I promise I won't fail. If I have to face Orion again, I'll finish the job with my hands."

Athena smiles as she pats her sister's head. "I believe in you, Artemis. You can do it, so don't back down if the time comes one day. Finish him once and for all."

Back to the present, Mount Olympus POV.

Mount Olympus and its surroundings were shaken to their pillars as the fights continued. Be it the clash between Zeus, Athena, and Michael or the massive attacks that Tiamat was creating, Olympus faced one of its biggest challenges in centuries. Members of the golden race, which called this realm home, moved back and for as they tried to keep a safe distance away from the battlefields with any methods available at the time.

Amongst all the chaos, a certain goddess and her descendants made their way out of the main residence of the gods as she tried her best to evade getting involved in the fights.

Aphrodite, continue to guide her sons and daughters to safety. Her ears heard the struggle between Artemis and Orion in the distance. With each second that went by, the sounds got closer.

"Artemis!, my sweet girl. Finally, we can get back on track with our relationship. I just need to hurt you a little bit, and you-" Orion's words were cut short as something made contact with his face again.

"You're one hard bastard to kill. How many times do I have to bury my stakes into your skull?" A voice asked.

"Shemhazai, keep at it. That bastard won't be able to use that stupid brain of his. I'll make sure he can't use his arms as well." Artemis said before several impacts were heard, shortly followed by the grunts of Orion.

"Get out of my way, fallen bastard," Orion shouted before he went on the offensive.

"Mother, we must move. If we wait any longer, we're bound to get involved." Eros told his mother as he dragged her along.

"... Yes. We need to leave this place until the fights settle." Aphrodite pondered everything that was happening until something came to mind. "Athena is leaving with her group; that would mean Eurydice will go as well." Aphrodite turns to her kids. "Kids, we must go somewhere before we're too late."

"What do you mean, mother?" Eros asks.

"If Athena is fighting Zeus, that means that they will depart from this realm. Eurydice will go alongside her father. I need to see her once before she leaves. If I don't do it now, I will likely regret it." Aphrodite's broken heart eyes were filled with sadness.

Her children were still hurt by her current status. Even after so long, her past self wasn't back. She was far more reclusive and submissive than before. It was as if she was a child that needed to be protected, for she couldn't do it alone. They had done their best to care for her, but Aphrodite didn't return to her usual self, no matter how many years passed. This also led to a goddess that was far more careful went it came to using her powers or interfering in the lives of her believers.

Eros saw the fear in her eyes. "You still want to connect with her even thou you can't feel anything." The winged god resigns himself to follow his mother's wishes. "Let's go. We have no time to waste if we're to meet them before they depart."

The other children resign themselves as well. They couldn't ignore her wishes as she had made theirs a reality while they were young and impulsive.

"Thank you, my children," Aphrodite said as she escaped alongside them.

Meanwhile, Shemhazai's POV.

The fallen angel faces the legendary hunter while Artemis continues to shoot arrows that pierce specific parts of his body.

Orion was a beast driven by his desires. Any other creature would have fallen dead after getting its head pierced by a stake, but Orion was not like any other beast. His armor was almost entirely destroyed, and his body was filled with arrows, yet Orion was still fighting.

"Damn fallen brat. Get out of my way." Orion left eye was utterly crushed, and one could see how the blood spilled from the eye socket. His head had been pierced several times, yet he still lives on, driven by his lust after Artemis. The gigantic hunter swings his sword once more against Shemhazai.

The fallen angel evades the attack by stepping to the right before he goes on the offensive once more before he uses the pile driver to bury the stake deep into the chest area of the hunter.

Orion spits blood from his mouth, but he still fights as he takes the chance to grab Shemahazai with his free hand. "Now I got you within my reach. I'm going to crush you."

The fallen angel shows no surprise or fear as the hand closes around him, for he knows who is right behind, waiting for the moment to attack.

An arrow flies past Shemhazai's right ear and into Orion's remaining eye. The hunter screams in agony as he is left blind. The veins around his face start to put up as something invades his bloodstream.

"You won't get your way, Orion!" Artemis screams. "Go and rip him to pieces."

Several giant energy bears appear next to Artemis before they lunge forward and attack Orion. Shemhazai wastes no time to get away before the bears attack him as well. The hunter is pinned to a wall and left at the mercy of the beasts as they claw and chew their way through the body of Orion.

"You should have stayed dead after I killed back then. Only Zeus would dare to bring someone like you back to life." Artemis says as she approaches the crying hunter.

"Artemis!" Orion stretches his right hand out to her trying to capture her, but Shemhazi stops him with his weapon.

The fallen angel pins the arm to the ground with the stake. "Shameless, aren't you? The lady doesn't want you, and you still try to get to her. Did nobody ever tell you that no means no?"

"Bas-" Orion's words are cut short as Artemis buries several arrows into his mouth.

The bears continue to devour his flesh as the goddess, and fallen angel watch the affair without showing a drop of mercy for the hunter.

"... Could I ask why he is so obsessed with you?" Shemhazai asks as he turns to the goddess.

"Long ago, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hermes created him to provide a certain king with an heir, but what they made was far from an adequate male. He's a lustful beast that, since a young age, caused chaos, whether by killing males or raping ladies that captured his attention. There was also the fact that he hunted all the animals within his "father" kingdom by the young age of 16. That same king asked Zeus for help as the boy was an uncontrollable mess. Zeus wanted nothing to do, but he couldn't ignore the problem, so he asked me to take him and teach him control. He expected Orion to learn self-control by hunting with my group and me. I initially wanted nothing to do with it, but Zeus promised that he would make one wish of mine into a reality." Artemis explains.

"So you accepted?"

"I sadly did. I took Orion in, and everything went according to plan for three years, but this lustful beast was reaching its limit. He the creation of three lustful gods who indulge in carnal desires without control, and expecting him to be different was too fullish, to begin with. Orion lusted after his fellow huntresses and especially after me, so one night, he tried to rape me while I bathed. He lunged from his hiding spot and pinned me to the rocks, threatening to take my purity away. It was the first time someone dared to do something like it, so I was forced to put him down." Artemis clenched her hands in anger. "His disgusting hands touched my body in places nobody ever did before. I was stunned and horrified. Went Zeus came to reclaim the corpse and his soul, he tried to claim that I was at fault for not offering mercy to him. He revived the bastard and sent him home as if nothing had happened; he even dared to raise him into a divine being. So much for my so-called father."

"I'm sorry to hear that." Shemhazai turns his eyes back to the dying Orion. "Dad might have taken his blessing away from us fallen angels, but he never did something so disgusting. A father who can't see his mistakes is not worthy of the title of a father."

"I know; Zeus has repeatedly proven that he's not a father anyone should trust. He cemented that with what he did to Callisto while disguising himself as me." Artemis makes her way to the dying corpse of Orion.

Barely anything remained as the bears moved away. "You should have stayed dead or left this realm, Orion. Now, you won't get another chance at life." Artemis sinks her hand into his chest and pulls his soul out from his dying body. Her hand is completely covered in the blood of the giant hunter, and her eyes watch the pale bright flame with total disgust. "Don't try to stop me, Shemhazai."

"I won't. This is your hunt, Artemis. I know the feeling pretty well; I would personally punish him for a few centuries, but you're free to do as you want with his soul." The fallen angel keeps a calm face as he bows to the goddess and awaits her choice.

Artemis continues to admire the soul for a moment before crushing it. "Become just another memory in my mind, despicable creation of Zeus."

The soul of Orion screams in agony as its existence comes to an end. One could hear the low voice of Orion calling her name until the last moment before the flame died.

Once the affair was complete, Artemis fell to her knees with tears in her eyes. "I did it…. I finally got rid of you…. But this feeling won't disappear that easily."

Shemhazai watched as Artemis touched her neck. "Some traumas aren't that easily forgotten. Even gods have scars that don't go away as quickly. If you want someone to help with that, I know a few who can help you. Treatment is a good way to recover."

Artemis turns to him. "A goddess getting some therapy?"

"Yes, getting some won't kill you. It seems to me that most of the members of Olympus need it. From getting eaten alive by their father to being forced into sexual relationships by others, all of you need help. So don't be afraid to accept the help." The fallen angel stretches his hand to her as a sign of friendship.

Artemis doubts about taking it for a few moments before she accepts it. "Never did I expect the day in which a fallen angel would offer his help to me."

"Expect the unexpected from now on. A lot awaits us, and if Athena agrees to join the alliance, your group will experience even more things on the road." Shemhazai says as he helps her to stand up.

"Thanks." Artemis smiles before she looks around the place in which they found themselves. "My old chambers. So ironic that it became where I put an end to Orion."

"If you need a minute or two to say goodbye, let me know, but we should join the others. It will be bad if Hades also shows up with his armies." Shemhazai says.

Artemis shakes her head. "There's nothing to say goodbye. Let's move on."

Yet before they could take another step, the room temperature rose astronomically for a few moments before the room's floor, and walls got turned to solid ice. As a result, the temperature quickly drops to inhumane levels.

"What in the holy Gaia is happening?" Artemis asks.

Then the ice is quickly melted into hot water and steam as the temperature rises just as fast.

"Don't move," Shemhazai says as he understands what is happening.

The switch continues for a few more moments.

"Shemhazai, what was that?" Artemis questions the fallen angel.

Shemhazai creepily smiles. "Just two girls beating a goddess into complete submission. Let's go out and see the aftermath."

Artemis takes a few seconds to connect the dots. "They did this?"

Tiamat's POV.

Her body was heavily injured, but she still stood up proud and confident about her win.

"Do you think she's going to get up after that?" Serafall asks as she takes a seat on top of Tiamat's head. The young-looking devil was breathing forcefully, and her body had also received some heavy attacks in the fight against Hera. "She was a hard granny to take down; maybe on my top 10 opponents at the moment."

Tiamat eyes turn to the place on the surface where fire and ice meet. A large crater was slowly disappearing as Tiamat recovered her chains. Deep within the center of the hole, a single unconscious body remained. Her body had received severe burns, and her limbs were basically non-existent after being subjected to such extreme attacks.

Their teamwork utterly defeated Hera, and now she was at their mercy.

"I doubt she can get up after that. She won't die but will have a long recovery process ahead of her. Lost limbs are easy to recover for gods, but that defeat is something she won't ever forget." Tiamat says as she flies down. She quickly transforms into her human form and catches Serafall in her arms. "How you're feeling? Do you have in you for another fight?"

"I can make it work," Serafall says as her friend places her on the ground. "You want us to join him?"

"You read my mind; we can leave "Dear" on his own at times like this. He could place himself in a situation where he has to use Infinity, which I would like to avoid at all costs." Tiamat turns to the distance as she detects the scent of his blood. "Let-"

"Tiamat!" Shemhazai calls out to her.

The female duo turns their attention back to Shem and Artemis, who descends to their position.

"Holy Gaia, you two took her down." Artemis looks completely amazed. "She defeated me the one time I fought her one-on-one, and you two defeated her?"

"Artemis, it took two of us," Tiamat says.

"And Tiamat is a nasty fellow to fight. Let's just say that for every attack Tia received, Hera took three without a way to evade the damage. So don't sell yourself short." Serafall tries to lift her spirits. "What about your opponent? Is he still alive?"

"Orion is dead. Nothing else to say about it. What about Hera?" Shemhazai says.

"She's alive but won't have a good time after she awakens. We're going to go and join Ddraig. You two should go and join Athena." Tiamat says.

"Athena shouldn't have problems dealing with Zeus," Artemis argues.

"You can never be too careful, Artemis. An injured beast is far more dangerous than a beast in its prime; you should know this best." Serafall explains.

As soon as those words escaped her mouth, the realm was shaken to its core. A massive lightning bolt strikes the land near the base of mount Olympus while on an island farther away, a powerful fire blade attack splits the sky into two.

"Our luck has to be either the best or the worst ever. Shemhazai, Artemis, go to Athena now." Serafall spreads her wings and takes off alongside Tiamat without wasting another second.

"Artemis, let's go." Shemhazai spreads his wings as well and takes off alongside the goddess.

The group separates and departs for their next targets.

Ddraig POV.

The Welsh Dragon breaths heavily as he supports his weight with Ascalon, which is now stuck on the ground. His armor was damaged, but he was still alive. "If I got any farther with this fight, I'm bound to lose control." His eyes turned to Heracles, who had just lost his right arm due to his attack.

The god of strength now lay seated near a tree as the injuries he had received continued to bleed out. "When I got up today, I never expected to lose an arm while fighting the legendary Welsh Dragon. Talk about having a stroke of shitty luck." Heracles smirks as he tries to get up.

"Don't do it. Don't force me to end this in the worst way possible. Instead, let Athena and the others go in peace. You should know that Zeus will continue to make their lives a living hell if they stay, so stop now and let them choose a path away from all this." Ddraig tried to reason with Heracles.

The god laughs as he stands up. "You, of all the beings, trying to convince me to choose peace? Am I dreaming about this?" Heracles picks up his weapon with his remaining arm. "Come on, we both know you're not a hero of peace. You're Ddraig, the Welsh Dragon, killer of thousands, maybe millions of warriors; you don't care about peace at all."

"... I know, but I'm choosing a different path for the sake of others. I'm choosing to be better instead of just killing everything that moves. This life is not mine to throw away like back then. This life is the property of others and not just my own. If this fight continues, I'll be forced to take not only your life but that of others as well. You don't want me to go all out right now, so choose peace for once." Ddraig says as he pulls Ascalon from the floor. "I can't fall in this place, so walk away."

The Welsh Dragon points his sword to the god.

"..." Heracles looks at him for a moment in silence as he tries to understand everything happening and scratches his head in annoyance as he thinks about the whole affair.

"Heracles?" A voice calls out to him.

The god turns to his left and sees a pinkish eagle descending next to him.

"Hebe, honey, you shouldn't come to the battlefield. It is dangerous for you. I can't fight and protect you at the same time. Go back for now, and I'll be back when I'm done." Heracles says in a calm tone.

"Heracles, listen to him. I don't want you to die. You're the last god I want to see dying today. Let Athena go, and let's discuss what we will do after this. I fear this is the end of our pantheon." Hebe says as she transforms into a beautiful goddess who possesses the beauty of her mother and the hair of her father.

"Hebe, are you sure about this? This realm is our home, and Zeus is our leader. If we betray him, where are we going? What are we doing after? I'm a killer, and nobody will accept us." Heracles explains.

The goddess caresses his face. "We'll figure it out together. Although you're a hot-headed idiot, you got me to balance your idiocy. Not everything involves swinging a club and killing monsters. We can speak and resolve things through dialogue. I just hoped that father had tried to listen more to others before we ended here."

Heracles grows silent as he listens to his bride. If he wanted to call Ddraig out for his past mistakes, he had just as many faults as him. Legends surrounded his mistakes, and yet Hebe had accepted him with all of it. "What should I do?"

"Listen to your wife, child of Zeus. I'll interfere if you take that club and swing it again against my student. If you truly wish to die today, I'll make that dream a reality, but I won't allow you to take Ddraig down, " Shiva says as he appears.

The god drops from a tree nearby.

"Shiva? How long have you been here?" Ddraig questions the approaching god.

"A large chunk of the fight. Good job, my student, but we might have to chat afterward." Shiva turns to Heracles. "Well, what is your answer?"

Heracles sights. "I know better than to continue. Hebe grab my arm, and let's go."

Hebe happily grabs the bloody arm without any disgust.

"Good choice. If you need a place after you figure out what to do, join us in the alliance. I'll take you two under my service. I never took a vanguard before, but the god of strength might be a good choice. Parvati would also enjoy having someone like Hebe around, so give it some thought." Shiva says as he offers a hand to Ddraig.

"Are you joking?" Heracles questions Shiva.

"Boy, I don't joke about things like this. I don't care about your past. I'll take you in as long as you promise to serve alongside me. I need allies, and if Indra took Sun Wokung, why can't I take the famous Heracles as my vanguard?" Shiva says in a cheerful tone.

His words surprised the duo as it felt like the blessing they needed.

"Give us time to think about it," Hebe says. "Heracles, let's go."

"...Alright." Heracles departs alongside Hebe.

As the duo left, Tia and Serafall arrived. Their eyes were quickly drawn to Ddraig's condition.

"Dear? Are you okay? " Did you go too far?" Tiamat asks.

"Do we need Phoenix Drops? I might have one or two that I can use right now," Serafall says as she starts looking in her uniform pockets.

"Is okay, you two. I'm just going to need a good nap after-" Ddraig's eyes slowly closed as he lost consciousness. The strain the fight had on his soul had put him out. His bright horns settle down as his powers go back to zero.

"He did well for someone that was in a critical state not too long ago. We should get out of here before things take a turn for the worst. Here you go." Shiva passes the unconscious body of the dragon to Tiamat.

"Dear…" Tiamat caresses his sleeping face.

"I'll grab the sword," Serafall says. As she picks up Bloody Ascalon, the sword starts to growl. "Is alright. I'm taking you home, so don't get angry at me. Be like the spear around his neck. There's no need to be aggressive."

Ascalon quiets down after a few seconds and allows itself to get transported.

"Good sword. Should we depart?" Serafall asks.

"You two go ahead and join Hephaestus and the others. I'll ensure that Athena and the rest are safe," Shiva says.

"Very well. Serafall, let's go." Tiamat departs with the sleeping body of her mate in her grasp.

Serafall follows after her while Shiva takes off to join the remaining fight.

Moments before Athena's POV.

Lighting bolts continue to strike the area around them as they go against Zeus; the blinded god slashes away against them while being guided by sound.

The duo of seraph and goddess continue to fight hand in hand to take down the god.

Neither of them exchanged words as Zeus' ears tracked each of them down by the minimum sound they made. Instead, they only transmitted their plans to each other by barely looking at each other or using their intuition to decipher what the other wanted.

Yet even without this lack of communication, they worked fantastically together.

As the golem continued to shoot at the god and his minions' birds from a safe distance while being careful not to get taken down by a lightning bolt, Michael and Athena got close to fight Zeus within close reach of his blade.

Athena continued to block and parry many of his wide swings with her shield while Michael took the chances offered to him to attack Zeus. Each new slash although small and barely effective against his chest armor continue to debilitate it.

When they switched their roles, Michael used all the strength he could gather to block the massive blade, which was starting to electrocute him more and more each time their swords made contact. So while Athena's shield could block such an effect, the seraph didn't possess such luck, yet the seraph pushed on.

It took many tries, but after a while, the chest plate covering Zeus' chest came down, which offered them a clear place to attack as his head seemed way too robust for even the golem to pierce with its projectiles.

"If you think I'm going down that easily, you're a pair of idiots!" Zeus says as he creates a second blade.

"Danmit!" The pair curse their luck as one blade is hard enough.

Zeus jumps into the sky and slams his blades into the ground creating waves of electricity that traverse the land in all directions. Athena and Michael are forced to the sky as the ground becomes a dangerous place to stand.

Yet the sky wasn't safe either as the lighting bolts continued to fall in all directions. Instead, it forced the duo to fly around while being careful not to get taken down.

Amongst all the chaos, Athena could only ponder why it had to be this way. "Why did you have to do this? Why is it so hard to understand that I care nothing about your throne? Why couldn't you be a normal father to all of us? Why are you like this? Why?" Athena's eyes saw the injuries Michael had gained due to the fight for a moment. "Michael…."

Each one was due to him trying to help her to defeat her "father." Her anger was rising and reaching a boiling point.

One more push was enough to drive her over the edge, and it finally came in the form of one single moment.

"Athena!" Artemis called out to her as she approached the battle.

"There you are!" Zeus attacked the source of the voice with one of his lightning bolts.

Artemis and Shemhazai received the full impact of the attack before they could evade it; their bodies fell motionless into the waters below.

"No!" Athena felt how something broke inside of her.

Her body didn't react; instead, her eyes watched as Michael rushed to aid their allies.

"Did I finally take your stupid ally down, Athena?" Zeus asks while ignoring that he has just attacked his daughter. The god starts to laugh maniacally.

Any self-control Athena had during the fight was thrown out the window as her anger went past the limit. The goddess slowly turned around with eyes devoid of any mercy.

*Divine Retribution- GOW III Ost*

"Zeus!" Athena screamed his name.

"There-" Zeus didn't get the chance to finish the sentence as Athen's spear pierced his guts. Instead, his body feels the approaching bloodlust as Athena grabs the spear, lifts him, and easily smashes his body into the ground.

An earthquake shakes the entire realm as Athena brutally beats Zeus with her bare hands, and lightning strikes her body, yet she doesn't feel a thing.

Each hit expands the crater as Athena continues the assault. The oceans go wild as Athena pummels the god into mush.

"Why? Why? Why are you like this?" Athena screams as she punches the body of the god with strength comparable to Shiva.

The crater is stained by blood as the assault continues, Zeus tries to lift his hands, yet he cannot as he is one-sidely beaten up to a pulp.

"Why did you have to rape my mother?"

"Why did you rape so many women?"

"Why Callisto?"

"Why, Leto?"

"Why did you eat me while I wasn't born?"

"Why did you father so many children and ignore them?"

"Why so much hate against me?"

"Why did you make your family suffer so much?"

"Why couldn't you hear me and treat me like a father?"

"Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?"

The assault continues

Michael's POV.

The seraph swims to the surface with both bodies, and as soon as the golem sees him, it moves and picks everyone up, offering Michael a decent surface to give both first aid.

Michael quickly checks the vitals of Shemhazai before he tries to resuscitate him. "Come on, Shem, wake up; I can't lose you, brother." Michael compresses the fallen angel's chest while using his powers until his heart starts beating again.

Shemhazai opens his eyes wide open as he gasps for oxygen.

Michael wastes no time and starts doing the same to Artemis. The seraph ignores what's happening with Athena as he focuses on reviving Artemis. "Don't die. Athena needs you. Open your eyes!"

Michael pushes himself to create a miracle as he gathers all of his power in his hands.

Shiva finally shows up and watches the scene in shock, and his mind takes seconds to connect the dots about what is happening.

Shemhazai barely turns to the side, only to watch Michael do the impossible.

The halo on top of his head starts to spin faster than before, and his wings shine as bright as the sun. Light gathers around the seraph as he brings Artemis back to the land of the living.

Artemis finally opens her eyes and starts to cough.

Michaels sighs in relief.

"Michael, go back to Athena now. I'll take these two back to the others." Shiva tells him as he gets closer to the injured.

Michael takes a second to realize what is happening. His ears are the first ones to notice the screams of Athena before he retakes flight. "Golem, help Shiva with them."

The Golem and Shiva depart with the injured, leaving Michael to stop whatever is happening. As he approaches the area, his eyes grow wide in fear as the blood bath becomes visible.

Michael slowly descends near the area and sees Athena punching the motionless body of her father.

Her eyes shone angrily, and the calm goddess he once knew was nowhere to be seen. Her whole body was covered in the blood and guts of her father. Zeus was barely alive at that point.

Michael takes a second before he rushes and grabs her from behind before he drags her away from Zeus. "Athena, stop!"

"Zeus!" Athena tries to release herself from his grasp to continue the assault.

"Athena!"

The goddess ignores his pleas. Zeus had finally pushed her over the edge, and the anger that had boiled inside her was finally released.

She wanted blood, and nothing was going to stop her.

"Athena, stop this madness. Artemis and Shemhazai are alive. You're not like this. Stop this; the prophecy is not your destiny." Michael tries to reason with her.

Athena wasn't listening at all.

Michael didn't know what else to do until one idea came to mind. The seraph grabs her face and kisses her.

Athena becomes motionless as her lips meet those of Michael.

Several seconds go by in which the kiss continues until Michael finally releases her.

"Athena, are you back to your senses?" Michael asks her.

Athena says nothing as her eyes looked the bloodbath she has created it. "I… did this." Her hands shake as she realizes how she went too far.

"Yes. You did. I feared this would happen one day; thankfully, I was present to try to stop it." Michael says as he grabs her hands to try to calm her down.

"I-"

"Is alright. Zeus is still alive. You didn't go past the point of no return." Michael embraces her. "You let your emotions go rampant after too much resentment got accumulated. I'm not judging you; this is due to his actions and is not your fault."

Athena's eyes start to water within his embrace.

"Is okay to cry. I'm right here." Michael offers her all of his support.

The pair stays like that for at least 5-7 minutes.

Zeus POV.

The god started to gasp for air as he regained consciousness.

"You finally wake up," Athena says.

"Athe…na."

"The fight is over. This will be the last time we ever talk to each other."

"You…. acursed….. Child."

"I'm not going to kill you."

"Lies…."

"I care anymore if thou doesn't believe me. I never wanted the shitty crown. Thou has always feared me and never showed me any affection. Since before my birth, thou feared me without any reason."

"... The prophecy."

"All in your head. As the head of the pantheon, thou should know best that a prophecy can be misinterpreted. How many legends have been written about those trying to stop prophecies, and yet thou never took a second to think."

"The fates…."

"Zeus, thou will never change. I have grown too tired to try anymore. I try my best to be a better child. I cared for many siblings when thou didn't do anything to take for any of them. I was cleaning after thee time after time, yet thou never learned—just a horny teen with too much pride and lust to see the bigger picture. I'm leaving with "my family." Keep this mess of a pantheon and never reach out to any of us. I care no more for Olympus or thee."

Athena starts to walk away with Michael. Zeus can hear their steps disappearing in the distance.

"Athena….. Athena… don't leave…"

His voice couldn't reach her anymore.

Too late to fix something that should have mattered more than a crown.

Now he was a king of nothing.

Eudydice's POV, moments before departure.

"Alright, everyone, get inside. We will depart as soon as Athena and Michael get back." Eurydice said.

The alliance members were carefully treating the injured with the help of some of the followers of Athena and the rest. Between Shem, Artemis, Tia, and Ddraig, the group was already busy enough.

Shiva was carefully keeping guard. Suddenly his eyes capture the approaching group of Aphrodite. "We have visitors."

"Oh, not them now," Hephaestus says as he sees who they are.

"Dad, go inside the ship with the rest. Mom, keep him there." Eurydice says as she approaches the group alongside Shiva.

"Alright, Hephaestus, you're coming with me." Hestia quickly grabbed one of his ears and forcefully dragged him into the ship. Pandora was a bit confused at his anger.

The alliance members and the rest carefully moved the injured inside the ship, thus leaving Eury and Shiva alone with the visitors, plus Michael's golem.

"Thank you for staying, lord Shiva," Eury says as she stands beside the god.

"Is alright. We're allies, so I'll protect you." Shiva says.

Aphrodite's group tries to keep a reasonable distance not to anger Shiva. Aphrodite is the only one that dares to take a step forward.

"Eurydice."

"Aphrodite," Eury replies coldly. "What is your purpose?"

"I…. came to see you one last time."

"... So you know. Very well."

Aphrodite looks at the girl from head to toe for a few seconds as she admires the goddess she has grown into. Her looks were comparable to hers, yet her appeal was close to an amazon's. "Athena has trained you well. You can be confused by one of her amazon warriors."

"I enjoy it. Being an amazon would have been good, but my talents lay elsewhere."

"Your father's….. Is he alright?"

"Much better now. I still hope he finds a wife. He and mom will never be a couple, so I hope that he can open up to someone and try again."

Aphrodite's heart aches as she accepts that Eury only sees Hestia as her mother. "Hestia…. Has been a good mother?"

"She has. Since day one, she gave me the love and attention I needed, just like dad. I never felt unloved by them. It has been a good life alongside them. I hope that when I have my own children, they will advise me on how to raise them. My powers were a bit troublesome, but thanks to them, I learned how to master them."

Aphrodite's eyes get wet as each of her words cuts deep into her.

"Don't cry."

"Eh?"

"I know, you can't hide emotions from me. I know you tried, but you couldn't. You are still a broken goddess. You hurt dad the worst way possible and paid the price. The current "you" still need time to heal. Time to rethink what a goddess of love should be. What is love? What is lust? How should onen't play around with the emotions of others? You have time, so you'll get there, at least I hope that. All of them should also do the same." Eury signals all of her siblings. "You should all take care of yourselves and stay out of trouble. I don't want any of you on a battlefield so stay away from wars. Take care of each other and look out for her."

Eury approaches Aphrodite and gives her one hug. "Thank you for giving birth to me. Take care of yourself. One day we might see each other again."

Aphrodite breaks into tears as she feels the warmth of her daughter. "I….."

"Is alright. Hey Eros, come and pick her up." Eury releases her as she calls her older brother.

Eros approaches her.

"Eros, dark times will come, so do what's necessary to keep them safe. Don't get involved in trouble." Eury says.

"I understand." Eros grabs Aphrodite and backs away.

Eury turns around and goes back to the ship alongside Shiva.

Athena's POV.

The goddess finally arrived at her new home alongside Michael. The pair traversed a few hallways until they finally reached the command center.

Many of those present bow their heads to her as the leader and captain of the ship.

"Mommy!" Pandora reached out to her for a moment before looking disgusted at the sight of her bloody attire.

"Take this towel," Apollon says as he throws one to Athena.

"I should have changed before I came here." Athena cleans herself of the blood on her hands and face before approaching Pandora. "I'm sorry for looking like this. Mommy was fighting gramps to keep you safe."

"Gramps? Did he hurt you?" Pandora asks her.

"I'm alright, my sweet girl. Now is the time for us to go." Athena walks towards her seat.

"Everyone to your positions." Athena orders.

Everyone quickly takes their seats and starts to give status on all the systems.

Athena places her hands on two light spheres in front of her. "Alright, Unicorn. Time for us to take flight. Takes us away from this realm and towards a new path."

The goddess puts all her energy into the spheres, and the ship reacts to her. The energy powers up the ship's core, and before long, they depart.

A goddess and her group take off into the skies, away from their former home.

A new lord of the heavens has finally taken off from her nest.

Notes of the author:

And the small Olympus arc comes to a closing. The prophecy did become true, but not in the way Zeus expected. Anyways, what's next is the preparations for the infernal train to Asgard. I will take it slowly to give the characters time to enjoy peace. Anyways see you next time.

Omake #1:

As Athena took her seat in her ship, her eyes saw Michael standing a bit away from her.

Her mind had ignored the kiss for a while, but her emotions ran wild now that the fight was over and they were outside the realm.

"Oh holy Gaia, he kissed me! Michael kissed me. Not even in my wildest dreams I expected something similar. I can't talk about it. Is he alright? Is he falling from heaven?"

The goddess turns to Michael briefly to check if his halo and wings are alright.

"He seems okay. Does that mean we can be a couple? Can I get married to him? Gaia, please hear my prayers. Please don't let this be a dream."

While Athena had her internal emotions going everywhere, Michael had a mental crisis.

"I kissed her….. I kissed Athena…. Am I going to fall? Yes, I'm a sinner. I will fall, and my siblings will judge me for it. I need to start praying for forgiveness. I'm a lustful degenerate for doing such a thing."

Michael continued to torment himself for no reason as he forgot his father's teaching.

His actions weren't driven by lust but by selfless care for another. Yet like any child experiencing such acts for the first time, he took it out of proportion.

Yet unknown to either of them, a particular young goddess was widely aware of the emotions of these two.

"So that's what's happening, young love in the making." Eury smirks as she watches over the couple from the shadows.

As their non-official wingwoman, she was going to watch over them.
