Halloween's events were so interesting,Jedayi laid awake at night in his bed thinking about why Wednesday took Augustus's place on Halloween during trick-or-treating. What made him even more alert was what he heard through his wall of his room. Augustus was on the phone with, probably, Wednesday, throughout the night into the next morning. Jedayi was exhausted and finally ready to shut his eyes. The sun was coming up and lighting up his room. By the time that the sun was up, his father, Augustus, was in the room waking his son up.
"Rise and shine buddy.",he whispered to him.
Jedayi had opened his eyes wide, focusing on the loving face of his Dad.
"Hey Dad.",mumbled Jedayi.
"Hey, get yourself together. Come on, you don't wanna be late to school, right?.",said Augustus.
He was already making his way to door, and ,so was Jedayi. As he was getting out of bed and followed his Dad out of his room.
Meanwhile ,downstairs~
Predictably, Augustus was in the middle of making breakfast for himself and his son,who came down in PJ's and joined him by sitting at the table and waiting for his father to be finished. The breakfast preparation followed a certain routine, taking so many minutes went past. Augustus loved cooking for Jedayi.
"Hey Dad.",said Jedayi.
Augustus turned to his attention towards his son.
"Yes?",asked Augustus.
"Whats going on between you and Wednesday, I thought you guys were just friends?.",said Jedayi.
"We are friends, Jedayi. What makes you say that?",asked Augustus.
"I don't know?.. just asking.",said Jedayi
"Okay, good! Well, bon appetite.",said Augustus.
He placed a bowl of pancakes on the table for Jedayi to eat . Augustus was getting everything back to where it belongs. He was still thinking,however, about what Jedayi had just said.
