Joseph sighed as he stared out to the ocean. He missed her so much, it pained him and the others when she left.
?: Hey bro, you doing alright?
Joseph turned to see a teen walk over, his bright auburn hair and green eyes looking him over.
Joseph: *Smiles sadly* Hey Stephen, didn't here you over there.
Stephen walked over placing his hand on Joseph back, a comforting smile on his face.
Stephen: It'll be okay man...lots of fish in the sea.
Joseph: I know...it still hurts.
Stephen: Will hurt for a while, but you still got us.
Joseph had to give a huge thank to Stephen. When Kristie left the team due to personal obligations and moved away, everyone was heartbroken especially him. He and Kristie were so close and yet... It wasn't until Stephen moved to Canton that things go a bit better, even becoming a Guardian after he manage to stop an Anticorian attack at a Browns/Washington game he went to by distracting them before those three were in a literally sticky situation after he went behind the counter by pushing a large tray of melted cheese to the ground. Since then, he has been with the team. He had definitely helped with the after all the madness everyone had gone through in the past given, especially Liberty given he is also a huge fan of the team helping him with planning and organizations with gusto. Though the pain of losing Kristie was still strong, Stephen arrival was a step close to healing for the team.
Stephen: Besides, we're in London...close to Paris the city of LOVE...Sooo-
Joseph brought him into a head noogie laughing. They piratically bonded into a brotherhood after he started training under him, as well as share the same classes at high school.
Joseph: Alright alright...lets head back to the-hey...look..on the beach shore.
The two looked onto the beach, and froze. The two ran onto the beach and the the two figures shielding eachother, gasping at the burned and bloodied breathing bodies of-
Joseph (Stephen): *shock* SWOOP (LIBERTY)?!
Hotel...
Lib...Lib...Liberty...
Liberty mouned as he slowly opened his eyes. The world was a blur of warm colors as it blended together and he was staring at Stephen, Joseph and Swoop. Swoop arm was in a sling, relief on his face as he hugged him.
Swoop: Thank goodness your awake.
Liberty: I, what, where-
Liberty looked at the gaze around his chest, head (a headache still swarming) and the wounds around him. He sat up a bit wincing, seeing that they were in a hotel room and night outside.
Stephen: Got us worried there Lib, not everyday you see your friends laying on the beach near death and not sun tanning.
Liberty: I-Swoop, you-
Swoop: Arm broken, bruised up...You got it the worst.
Joseph: Liberty...What the hey happened? How did you and Swoop get to London?
Liberty eyes widen as the memory rushed back to him and gasped in horror. He turned to Swoop in horror, who nodded sadly to explain the situation.
Liberty: Joseph, Stephen...please sit down, this will be alot to take in.
They did just so, Liberty sighed, as he explained what had happen to the point Lord Zatu head was thrown to them.
Liberty: I-woke up after seeing the head.
Flashback, To that day...
Liberty was pale and looked sick as Ash tried to calm him, Marty managing to call in the other Rusherz minus Soar, who was sent to a different location as he was still hurt. They too had the same reaction seeing what was shown to them.
Ish: WHAT THE HEY IS WRONG WITH YOU!?
Bolt: Ish...this-this is fake right. This-this guy is just-
Marty: It's real...
Pillage: This guy... He's crazy, just plan psychotic.
Sinous: Now then...do i make myself clear...
Ash: Clear on what?
Sinous: The charges...the Megacores and core, for the safety of your lives.
Troy: And have you destroy others?!
Needless to say they were not moving. Liberty pointed his torch at the monstrous 'guardian'.
Liberty: Like we're going to negotiate with a Genocidal Murderer!
Freefall: Your wearing a armor of fakes, you might look like one but you certainly are NOT a Guardian!
Sinous:...No, I'm not a Guardian of the core...
Sinous appeared behind them in a flash before whispering..
Sinous: I am a guardian of death.
Present...
Liberty shoke his head sadly.
Liberty: That's all i remember-
Swoop placed his healthy arm on Liberty's shoulder.
Swoop: You were the first to be taken down Lib, your head and chest wounds are proof. All madness broke lose then and there. We fought until Sinous, don't know how or where, sent the other Guardians somewhere...as for us, given we hide the Megacores from site except for the one he had, in a flash he took us out, tried to kill us. Thank goodness Freefall made the quick move and separated us from him...though in different locations.
Joseph and Stephen were speechless.
Joseph: Sinous...
Stephen: I'm guessing by your reaction he's new right?
Joseph: Yeah...and now i wish I have not heard of him at all. Do you know where-
Swoop sadly shoke his head.
Swoop: All i know is Soar was hidden during all this due to his injuries. As for the others, i don't know.
Stephen: Well then we got to find them and get to the other!
?: But you must do it without grabbing his attention.
Joseph turned to Swoop's NFLR, Harpy face showing on it surprising Stephen.
Stephen: Still surprises me.
Harpy: I am happy to see you two being found by Joseph and Stephen, I will make sure RZ is aware of this as he wanted to see if you have met with any of the missing Rusherz.
Joseph: *Nods* Anything else?
Harpy: RZ wanted me to tell you that he is sending you special shield coins, shield coins containing the power of the Super Bowl rings and those related to them. He has found a way to make them but to utilized them is up to you and the others.
Joseph: Thanks.
Harpy nodded before, to their surprise, four shield coins formed above them.
Liberty: W-Wait...Harpy, you accidentally gave us four shield coins.
Behemoth appeared at that.
Behemoth: We know...those are for RUSHERZ only those two.
Liberty and Swoop eyes widen, as did their Guardians. Stephen gave a thought before snapping his fingers.
Stephen: Joseph, look carefully at the shield coin for them.
Joseph nodded and looked at them. Instead of the usual NFL logo, there was a blue logo of their respected team in their. While both shield coins had a brighter shinier silver to them than the usual ones, the Rusherz had a blue sapphire insignia of their team in the middle.
Behemoth: These shield coins will help you and the Other Rusherz as well.
The two nodded and the Guardians placed the sheild coins in their NFLR, while the two Rusherz took a deep breath before have the coins absorbed in them. This act surprised the two Guardians present.
Joseph: How-worry about that later. Right now we have to find the others.
Swoop: Right.
Liberty: Harpy, Behemoth, can you see who is the closest Rusher and/or Guardian?
Behemoth: Ireland is close by, so Jack is the closest.
Harpy: With that in mind Blow-Torch must be there as well.
Stephen jumps up ready.
Stephen: ALRIGHT THEN! Let's go and get them!
Joseph touched his friend shoulder making the quiet symbol, pointing to the now exhausted and sleeping Rusherz.
Stephen: Or...we wait till tomorrow.
Joseph: yeah, as much as we are facing against this new foe...we have to make sure our friends are healing and rested.
Stephen nodded as the two pull the blanket up on their friends and went to go to bed themselves, planning on their journey while also keeping an eye on their two sleeping friends...praying the others were alright.
