A half an hour later...
Freefall sighed in both content and fatigue as he finished the meal and drink. He had explained to Alex all the events that had happened, as well as the new foe they were facing.
Alex: You did the right thing evacuating all the Rusherz in time.
Freefall: I know...but I have no clue where they are or where the six Guardians are Alex... It was all happening so fast and escalating. I woke up in the alley and have been searching for anyway to contact the others. I've been trying to use the NFLR communicator but i can't seem to reach them or even the HOK.
Alex: Looking at it, it might be caused by that 'storm' going around the United States. I bet this Sinous is blocking any easy accesses to the country.
Freefall groaned as he face-planted the table gentle with Alex patting his back, knowing that the Seahawk was extremely mentally and emotionally exhausted.
Freefall: I swear one of these days I'm going to have a conniption.
The bartender left and it was just the two of them when-
Splashdown: Freefall...Alex...
They jolted as saw on the NFLR the holo-Rusher looking at them.
Alex and Freefall: Splashdown.
Splashdown: It is good to see i have finally reached you. It took some tries but given we are near Scotland the connection was strong enough to contact you.
Freefall: Splashdown..are the others-
Splashdown: Joseph and Stephen had found Liberty and Swoop, they had recently joined up with Jack who has found Blow-Torch. They found Lasso just now and he's out of commission with an illness.
Alex: Dang...
Freefall: H-How are they?
Splashdown nodded in understanding his counterparts worries to no end.
Splashdown: Liberty had gotten a concussion with bruised and cracked ribs, as well as scraps and small laetions. Swoop has received a broken arm/wing after Sinous threw him by it to the tree. Blow-Torch has received first to second degree burns from Sinous fire magic when he nearly burned the Bird and Feline Rusherz.
Alex: My gosh...
Freefall slumped back, though shaken from the events he was stilled relieved too hear that none of the injuries where severe or fatal...yet.
Freefall: By the deities thank you...
Splashdown: I have a gift from the HOK regarding this.
Freefall and Alex got closer at this.
Alex: You mean-
Splashdown made the two shield coins appear, Alex immediately placing it in his NFLR. Freefall allowed it to float in his hands, confused.
Alex: I think this one is meant for you.
Freefall: What- why-
Splashdown: You are in need of this too. These shield coin are use to summon us Crusherz.
Alex and Freefall: Pardon we can do what now?
Splashdown: Summon us, and for you Alex, we can merge with your Guardian form and enhance the power.
Alex:..That is incredible.
Freefall looked at the shield coin in awe now.
Freefall: So, this is the power if a super bowl ring, trophy or anything close to them.
He let it go in him as suddenly a guy at the far bar slammed his empty glass.
Drunk man: COME ON-I-I can handle it.
Bar tender: Please sir, you drunk.
The drunk man responded by throwing the empty bottle away, hitting Freefall in the head. He grabbed it in pain, feeling a new wound form on his head. Alex gasped as the drunk man continued to yell at the bar tender.
Alex: Freefall you-
Freefall: *grumbles* This just keeps getting better and better huh.
Alex sighed calmly, as Freefall watched him get up, walk calmly over to the drunken man...and punched him right int he face making him fall. He got up in a drunken anger as soon enough, a bar fight had started between the two with Freefall and the bar tender watching with mouths a gap. The man tried to punch back but Alex grabbed the chair and bashed it on the man head, resulting in Alex getting lifted into the air and throwing him onto the table destroying it. Freefall in anger got up and roundhouse kicked the drunk man. The drunken man fell to the ground before Alex knocked him out. Panting, the two looked around at the damage. Alex went over and gave the Bar tender money.
Alex: For dinner and damages.
Bar Tender: Consider dinner free, this guy has been a nusience for the past few weeks so thank you for putting him in his place.
They nodded as they quickly left hearing the sirens.
Outside,
The night breeze was felt as Alex and Freefall finally were away from the bar. Freefall flinched at the feeling with his new head wound, which luckily was not severe nor large.
Freefall: Well, that escalated...
Alex: I know...hey, look...at the shore!
They both looked to the shore seeing a duckboat, and upon closer inspection they saw a familiar flame glowing in the distance...and that caused Freefall to from tears.
Alex: That's them all right...*to Freefall, gentle smile* Go, I'll catch up.
On the Shores...
Joseph: -and Splashdown said he had contacted them, telling Alex on everything.
Joseph and Liberty were on the shores while the others helped Lasso inside, planning their next move with the recent news of Splashdown getting contact with their two friends.
Liberty: That's-good...You said he had manage to contact them from here, does that mean they could be close.
Joseph smiled, knowing full well how close the Giant and Seahawk Rusherz were.
Joseph: I do believe-
LIBERTY!
Liberty froze in place as he turned slowly seeing Freefall running over.
Liberty: Freefall...
Liberty shoke, before he started running to him and the two met in a warm hug letting their tears fall. Joseph smiled, waving over to Alex who waved back as he came over.
Freefall: *tears* Thank goodness...y-your-
Liberty: *tears* S-Same..*sees the new head wound; shocked* WHAT HAPPENED!?
Alex: Ehhhh Bar fight, long story...
His eyes were opened, he thinks...but it was dark. Was it still night...no, he could hear voices.
?: looks like their alright, just a scuffle.
?: Yeah, how's is he doing?
He felt something on his head.
?: Still bad, looks like he's still out through.
With that he shut his eyes and let the darkness sooth him to sleep.
Meanwhile...
Freefall: Hmmm, Seems like Lasso is out for a while with his illness. From what i found out *takes stethoscope off his ears* this is a virus, nothing too severe for medication. He just needs some stress...though, given what's has been going on it would be hard.
They nodded, relieved that the illness was not as serve as thought.
Freefall: You said you found him in the ocean?
Swoop: Yeah, and Stephen jumped in to get him.
Freefall gave a shocked look at him.
Liberty: Already talked to him about that.
Jack: Yeah, let's just be glad he's gonna be alright and we found you two-
It was the Lasso jolted up and quickly took out his shooter, his eyes pin-pricked and shaking as he aimed at the group. They noticed this and the way he reacted, so Joseph took the wheel.
Joseph: *Hands calmly up* Lasso, it's us. Your safe.
He shoked as he lifted the shooter to Joseph forehead as he got closer to him, still calm at the situation.
Joseph: You recognize me right Lasso, Joseph.
Lasso was silent, till he said-
Joseph: Remember when Kristie left...you were upset and hid your own worries to help us, you helped me when she left regardless. You were hurting yourself yet you choose to help us instead.
Lasso had tears forming in his eyes as his arm with the shooter shoke. Joseph went in and hugged him tight but gently. That was the moment Lasso broke from his state and the shooter fell to the ground, with him hugging Joseph back and letting his tears and emotions out.
Lasso: J-Joseph...I-I'm so sorry for point t-that at you I-I thought-
Joseph: It's alright, you were in a state of panic waking up after a battle like that...I'm sorry for bring that day up though.
Lasso shoke his head and chuckled.
Lasso: Don't be, you help me there.
Lasso and Joseph broke the hug as he looked around, seeing the state of the Rusherz present and the four Guardians present.
Lasso: Where are we and how in sam hill did you four get here?
Jack: Well, you better relax cause this will be a long one.
Unknown maze...
The six sighed as they sat on the ground in a safe location from any bots or borgs. Another say had gone by and so far no exit.
Troy: This is insane...Where even are we?
Ish: I'm not sure myself, but we have to still be on earth. This guy wouldn't just sent us to a place now run by Balin.
They sat in silence for a while...
Ash: If possible, do you think one of us may have a chance to beat him?
They turned to the red head.
Ash: I mean let's look at this statistically. Ish has a good chance given he's the first Guardian and he defeated Sudden Death the first time around.
Ish nodded in agreement.
Ash: Ricky has a good chance cause you almost defeated Wild-Card on your first day.
Ricky shrugged, not knowing how he would do alone.
Ish: Your a good chance given you face Endgame and defeated her.
Ash nodded back remembering that fight.
Ash: Out of the three of us if there was ever a time, one of us would have to face him sole.
Tua: I hope that day doesn't come with how he moped the floor with just us.
Thinking, Marty piped up.
Marty: What about Joseph?
They all turned to him.
Marty: Joseph survived an explosion, was able to break out of corruption, took on Barron, and, this is just a theory, he might be rounding up the others as we speak. Do you think he has a chance against this guy?
This got all of them thinking, knowing there was also the possibility that they might not make it out in time for the final battle with Sinous.
Ash: That, is also a good possibility.
Ish: I trust Joseph if he's the one to face this guy, he's a really good leader to the others when we're not around.
Troy: I trust him too.
Tua and Marty: Same.
Ricky: Ditto.
Ash: Me too...And let's just hope RZ manage to find something regarding the rings and those close in power to it to combat Sinous.
They all nodded as soon, making sure they were safe once again, went to sleep.
