Peck slowly turned around to see Joseph, still in armor, sitting Jack and sleeping Swoop and Blow-Torch leaning on them.
Peck: What the-*remembers* oh...Oh, Joseph I'm so sorry for getting you stuck in this position with the suit.
Joseph: It's alright, I'm just happy your safe. The others told me the precautions you guys took in case this happens. I should be first asking if your alright, you were the one being hunted like a bird in a cat store.
Peck nodded.
Peck: I just-it was a slaughter forest...Sinous kept killing and killing and so much blood. Not to mention I'm worried about Ricky and the others. But-*sighs and forms a weary smile* Seeing you four and some of the Rusherz is really comforting.
Stephen: *A far* Breakfast is done!
This got Swoop and Blow-Torch up quickly with Jack joining and running over to the table, Joseph held in a chuckle seeing the drool fighting to come out of the Cardinal's beck.
Joseph: Let's get some food, I know Ricky and the others are safe and strong wherever they are...if anything even more reassuring, Arron is back in the states-
So he's got the home front in his vision.
HOK...
Arron: Warren, can you hand me that new wire?
Warren: Yes.
Warren handed Arron the wire as he replaced another burnt one. Joseph was right, Arron was visiting the HOK when Sinous attacked, causing the huge amount of energy clashes between him and the Rusherz escapes to overheat the base and RZ to disappear. With six Guardians missing, the Rusherz not responding, and the rest of the Guardians out of state Arron was in a state of disarray, till he remembered the Crusherz. He sent a message with Cimarrón, who was as fast as Steed, to Warren. He immediately came and thus here they were.
Warren: Any change?
Arron: Well, on the plus side, nothing important was damage, and i got word from a few of the Crusherz that Joseph, Stephen, Jack, and Alex have been located and found, which by the way good idea with that duck boat idea.
Warren: And how are the Rusherz present?
It was then the HoloRusher, Red Crest, appeared.
Red Crest: Red Crest, report set and ready.
Arron: Right on cue. Red Crest, proceed with report.
Red Crest: Very well...well, Joseph is stuck in Guardian mode-
Arron and Warren: Pardon?
Red Crest: Apparently, it is indeed possible to get stuck in that mode. Though, the Rusherz added precationaies just in case this does happen. The reason for this was a good cause, as Joseph defended Peck who was on the run from Sinous. Sinous left a trail of dead animals and blood.
Arron: *disgusted* Ewwww...
Warren: Disgusting...I never thought there would be such a being of destruction.
Arron: Don't mean to open old wounds, but he's making you guys from the past look tame...well, before Endgame that is.
Warren nodded.
Warren: Anything else, can we speak to them?
Red Crest sadly shoke his head.
Red Crest: Negative, still only HoloRusherz are capable to breach this electric interference caused by the confirmation.
Arron groaned.
Arron: Yeesh, what did they all do to cause this. It's going over the entire county.
Red Crest: Shall me and the other HoloRusherz investigate this?
Warren: Don't worry, the Guardians present need you the most right now with the new upgrade. Me and Arron will investigate this, as well as try to get RZ back online.
Red Crest:...Shall we tell them how you two are doing?
Arron: It might bring them some comfort, yes.
Red Crest nodded and vanished.
Arron: And we'll also pray the others out there are safe as well.
?: Vomiting again?
He heard them, his throat, wherever it was on this kind of body, felt like it was on fire.
?: Blood again?
Not to mention the taste of copper in his mouth. Least the burning in his eyes making that blindness was gone. Just how long were they going to be...he hoped the doctors would tell his friends the situation too. For now, this was HIS battle and he wasn't going to lose or go down without a fight.
Meanwhile, at the Duck Boat...
Peck sighed in both relief, and a bit of pain from his bruised shoulder as Stephen and Lasso did the dishes. Freefall and Alex just relocating his shoulder after his run in with Sinous and near death experience.
Peck: I just...it was pure luck that what i jumped on was your vehicle.
Joseph: *Leaning on the wall* Well, we're glad your safe. How long were you running?
Peck:...I actually lost track of time. I couldn't fly with this dislocated shoulder, not to mention he nearly got me a few times.
It was then Red Crest appeared, looking around then smiling at seeing Peck.
Red Crest: It is good to see you Peck. I wish to tell you some news.
Jack: What's up RC?
Red Crest: Arron and Warren Zimmer are actually at the HOK, apparently whatever happened at the battle has caused the HOK to be on the fritz.
Alex: So, that'd why I didn't hear from RZ about all this.
Joseph: It does explain why we have not heard from him or the others.
Freefall: And why the portals are not working, i tired that before heading into the village where you were Alex.
Red Crest nodded.
Stephen: What else?
Red Crest: They are currently now also investigating the disturbance. As for your suit problems Joseph, it might be a few days till that returns to normal.
Joseph: Well, that good news.
The map pinged, showing that they had arrived in France, and even more good news it seemed to be secure and cleared of any problems they might face.
Stephen: Thank gosh, a country to pause and breathe for a bit.
Everyone smiled.
Lasso: Maybe we can come up with a game plan to fight Sinous, or at least find a weakness.
Meanwhile in Germany...
Jessica: I just can't understand what made Zatu think making such a deadly being would be a good idea. I mean, of course he would revolt! I just...-sighs- Least Freefall got the Rusherz out of there, the Guardians OGs are powerful so they should be able to break out of wherever they are, and Freefall sent you to me...i-be it on top of the roof of the motel and causing a crowd at the bottom, and the firemen to have to retrieve you. But...*smiles warmly* I wouldn't have it any other way, Peg-Leg.
Peg-Leg chuckled, sitting on the chair as the tow ate in the cafe. His peg-leg was missing, his nub noticeable.
Peg-Leg: Aye, me too...And hopefully the others will join us soon.
