"Glad that's over! Now I'm about to order pizza and sleep. Don't bother me for any other mission." Shazam stretched and yawned, then inhaled deeply. "Ah man! I have that gross tar smell."
"Told you not to get so close." Superman said patting his shoulder.
"No one forewarned that ugly pile of slop was going to explode. And yeah, thanks Bats for causing it with that bat-grenade." He said sarcastically.
Batman narrowed his eyes. "You're alive. You're welcome."
"Grump."
"It's okay kid, just go bathe in tomato juice," Flash suggested.
Superman chuckled and shook his head. He looked around he noticed Wonder Woman had suddenly disappeared.
As the rest of the League was busy talking about bathing in tomato juice and the tar monster, Superman left to the quarters.
When he got to Wonder Woman's quarters, he knocked on the door.
"Diana? It's Kal."
Silence.
He concentrated his hearing through the door. He didn't hear a heartbeat nor the shower or anything.
"Athena's Wisdom."
Her door slid open.
"Diana?"
She wasn't there. He frowned pondering for a moment as he walked out her room. She left without saying anything?
He hurried to the transporter room.
"Hey Vic, did Diana leave?"
"Yeah, about 20 minutes ago."
"Alright, thanks. I can probably catch up with her."
Metropolis
Wonder Woman sighed as she flew through the evening sky.
As she flew pass Central Park, she smiled and waved at the civilians looking up with smiles and waving at her.
Superman spotted her, as she flew down to a remote area of the park. He tried to keep his distance for her to be unaware of his presence. He followed her down and landed quietly.
He hid behind a tree as he saw Wonder Woman walk to the edge of the lake dock.
He titled his head curious to what she was going to do.
She took off her tiara and gauntlets then bent over and unzipped her boots taking them off. She then reached behind her back unzipping her bodysuit.
At that instant, Superman thought to look away but he couldn't. And part of him didn't want to anyway. He was shocked to see her all in her naked goddess glory.
Superman stared after her, mesmerized by everything about her. She was perfect, and stirred up feelings within him that he tried to maintain.
He didn't know how long he stood there for, watching as she dived in, immersing herself in the cool water.
He shook his head and closed his eyes. What is happening? He thought. No, he thought sharply. He couldn't think such things. They were just friends.
Who was he trying to convince?
He wanted to take her in his arms and never let her go, yet at the same time he was afraid to touch her incase she disappeared, just a deisre of his imagination.
He should leave. No? Yes? Dammit.
"You know, I wouldn't mind if you would just join me instead of standing behind that tree the whole time, Kal-El."
His eyes shot open and his heart skipped a beat and sunk. Kal slowly walked from behind the tree.
Their eyes immediately locked as Diana's lips curved into a shy smile, feeling flattered by his gaze, yet at the same time a little nervous. No one had ever looked at her like that, with so much respect and kindness, and she realised that her gaze probably held similar feelings.
Kal mirrored her shy smile rubbing the back of his head nervously as he floated closer to the edge of the dock and kneeled down.
"Hi...Diana..."
"Hi, Kal."
At that moment, he wanted suddenly to kiss her, feel her soft skin against his lips, her silken wet hair against his arms. She looked so radiant, smiling widely, that he could only grin in return, mesmerized by her beauty.
Her dark eyes sparkled like the ocean, with hidden depths that Kal felt all too ready to discover.
"What are you doing?"
"Just relaxing."
"So that's why you left without saying anything?"
"I didn't think anyone was paying attention or even cared...worried about me leaving. But you, Kal. You were...worried about me?"
"Well, yes..."
"That's very sweet of you," she smiled. "So will you join me?"
"I..."
"Oh, come on. I've been here multiple times, stayed for hours. No one will come here and see us. If you are worried about being unclothed, you don't have to completely. It is better however. That's why I prefer it."
"No, I don't mind it."
"Would you like for me to turn around as you get undressed?"
"No...I mean, not unless you want to but..." he paused and sighed. "I saw you...getting undressed..." Kal's supersuit started to degenerate. "It's only fair." His face heated as he took off his boxer briefs.
Diana glanced off to the side and looked down for a moment biting her lip trying to hide her reaction of seeing him. She had always been impressed by him. But she was even more so now.
Kal stepped into the water. "Not bad."
"Of course not," Diana smirked.
"Why exactly here?"
"You see how beautiful the atmosphere is with the sun setting. It reminds me of home. I used to spend hours at the waterfall. I was at peace and clearing my mind. I can't go to Themyscira every evening so this does just fine." She started swimming backwards. "Its a stress release for a particularly overwhelming day."
Kal did the same swimming backwards beside her.
It was incredibly soothing. Feeling the liquid tranquility envelop them, cradle them, carry them to nothingness. The air provoked goosebumps, but they only intensified the sensation of the water sweeping over their skin.
"There's a lake in Smallville but it's public. As a kid, there were town gatherings. Swimming, boat rides, fishing. I remember the first time I went fishing with Pa. I caught a huge one first try."
"Sounds fun."
"Yeah, it is. Maybe...well...there is something like that coming up. Would you like to go? I mean...I can bring a friend and only if you are interested but if not, I-"
Diana giggled at Kal's nervous rambling. "I would love to."
Kal smiled. "Ok. We will make that a plan."
They closed their eyes, allowing themselves to think about nothing yet everything at once. Inhaling deeply, loving the experience.
It was wonderful.
Every sensation was magnified. The air felt better, crisper. The water welcomed them even moreso than before, encouraging them to dive further into its depths.
They plunged under, opening their eyes, watching the low sun rays melt into liquid and sway. Gazing up while under, and realizing that there was something so beautiful about seeing the sky from its opposite point, from a place so faraway and so different but it still reflected its counterpart perfectly. The sky and the water, so opposing yet so utterly unified in perfect peace.
They glance at each other and smile.
They come up for air, still enjoying those unladen breaths.
Brushing her hair from her face, Diana inhaled again and smiled. Looking at Kal's glistening body, she tried to maintain herself. She could never deny the instant attraction she has had for him. He was so patient, kind and gentle. He treated her with the utmost respect. They've spent years working together and she has felt so open to him more than anyone else. All this time, she didn't know whether she was just infatuated with him or more but at this moment she knew it was more.
"You know I thought about going to go to one of those places that gives massages. They have a place in London."
"You mean a spa?"
"Yes. I mean having divine blood, I can heal but I wouldn't mind that." Diana rubbed the back of her neck. "I think I'll make an appointment some time soon."
Kal glanced at her. "You don't have to wait, Diana."
She frowned and titled her head. "What do you mean?"
Kal moved closer. "Here...um...I'll help you out now."
Diana smiled. "Really, Kal?"
"Yeah...I can give it a try."
"Ok..." Diana turned with her back facing him.
Kal moved a bit more closer. "So where are you feeling a little tension?"
"My right shoulder and down to the shoulder blade."
"Alright."
As Kal started to slowly rub her shoulder, Diana breathed out slowly and closed her eyes. She unconsciously let out a low moan. Kal immediately had an internal reaction but kept his cool.
"You have very gifted hands, Kal-El."
"Oh...umm..." he laughed nervously. "Thanks..." he cleared his throat. "Thanks, Diana."
His hands slowly went down to her shoulder blade then a little bit farther down. Diana let out another low moan.
"I didn't realize how much I really did need something like this."
"I'm at your service anytime."
Diana smiled. "Thank you."
Another moment of silence between them as Kal continued to rub her back. They were both so caught up in the moment, neither realized how close they had actually gotten until Diana felt something against her rear.
Her eyes shot open.
"Kal...you're..." she trailed off blushing.
Kal quickly moved away from her a bit.
"Sorry. I-" He looked down and closed his eyes tightly trying to calm down his excitement.
Diana turned around smiling and still blushing. "It's quite alright."
Kal looked at her blushing as well. "I truly am sorry."
"And I truly meant what I said about it being alright. But we can go ahead and leave."
"No. Wait..."
"Yes?"
Kal mind worked furiously to form words, something to say, anything but it seemed all to vanish into nothingness. He closed his eyes again to try and gather himself, realising too late that he had ruined the moment. When he looked again, Diana was staring down into the water, lost in thought.
Kal cleared his throat and she jumped, blushing again when she realised what she had been doing.
In that moment, Kal's heart pounding in his chest, needing to hold her and kiss her like he had never needed anything before.
"Diana," his voice hoarse with emotion.
Her eyebrows raised at this sudden gesture.
He moved back closer to her. "I...wanted to say...for the longest time...this might not be the best time given the circumstances..."
Diana smiled and bit her bottom lip which made Kal almost lose his train of thought.
Forgiving all sense of dignity or pride, he swept her into his arms and kissed her, and that was when he knew he would love her all his life.
Diana's heart skipped a beat. Her eyes went wide and her body tensed but then she relaxed into the kiss, closing her eyes and brought up her hands, laying them gently on his shoulders.
They stayed in each other's arms for a time only the gods could determine.
Finally Kal spoke, and what he said confirmed Diana's own feelings.
"I know we have only been working partners for a very long time. You are kind, loving, honest and so beautiful. My feelings have evolved into something more. Diana, what I mean to say is... I've fallen in love with you." He rushed on to explain his feelings before she spoke. "I want you to know I'm fine and do understand if you don't feel the same way, but I've wanted to tell you and just wanted to be honest."
He didn't know what he'd been expecting, whether she'd turn away and reject him completely creating this forever awkwardness or would she respectfully want to remain friends still with awkwardness looming but it was none of that.
His lips were met in a drowning kiss as Diana surrendered to the love that filled her soul. When they broke apart, she studied him silently for a moment.
"Kal," she whispered, "my feelings have evolved too. From the moment we met and from this amazing friendship and partnership we've forged, I knew you would be the man I would give my heart to," she smiled, her eyes revealing the depths of her soul to the man she loved.
Kal cupped her cheek with his left hand and stroked it softly with his thumb before he leaned in and kissed her warmly. As Diana's hands moved to lock behind Kal's neck, his right hand pulled her closer to him. Diana instinctively gasped when she felt her breasts press into his chest and his arousal against her thigh. Kal took the initiative and deepened the kiss.
Kal shifted his hands to her rear then to her thighs, lifting her up a bit, positioning her. Diana wrapped her legs around his hips and he nipped at the silken skin of her throat. Feeling his arousal pressing into her as he brought down slowly, she let out another gasp. Kal met her mouth with his and took advantage of her slight gasp to dip his tongue between her swollen lips where it danced softly with hers. Diana rose up and sank back down, enjoying the velvet feel of him.
Kal locked his gaze on her beautiful face. His eyes were sharp and content. The water around them added a new dimension to their lovemaking. He moved slow but deep, making soft moans escaped her parted lips.
Diana threw her head back, her long silky wet tresses cascading down her back and lustful cries filling the air. With every thrust, Kal's body would cause a wave to ripple over her breasts, and that, combined with what his tongue was doing on her neck, was intoxicating her more and more.
Kal kissed the soft curve of her breast eliciting a soft gasp from the woman who held his heart.
Diana moaned, holding his head to her chest, encouraging him to keep going.
Kal kissed his way up her neck nipping at the skin in time with his thrusts. He kissed his way along her jaw line until his gaze fell upon her tightly clenched eyes. Her held firmly to Diana's thighs, his thrusts driving hard, he could feel her shivering with pleasure as her orgasm began to pick up.
Diana moaned, forcing her eyes to open as the orgasm raked through her body. Kal intensified his rhythm and his continuous hard deep thrusts brought her to the edge again.
Diana couldn't see straight. She hadn't even had time to recover from the first orgasm and here Kal was bringing her back again.
"Kal-El...oh...Gods..."
Kal watched Diana's face in earnest…reading every nuance, to give Diana exactly what she liked.
A long, loud moan was the only noise she was capable of making as it bubbled over, filling her with warmth. Kal kissed down her throat and grazed his teeth across her supple skin before nipping it sharply, causing Diana to snap her hips forward sharply and cry out his name. A few more sharp nips and Diana came forcefully again, a silent scream in her throat, her sex clenching Kal tightly, milking him.
"Di...ana..."
She grabbed a hand full of his hair, pulling his face to hers and kissed him hard. Kal bit down on her lower lip gently as he came inside her, his fingertips digging into her hips as he exploded. He held her to his chest.
Diana let out a satisfied sigh and Kal pressed a tender kiss to her shoulder. Kal's lips crashed on to hers. So much passionate emotion was forced in to that one kiss. Diana responded back with the same force.
When they pulled away slowly, silence washed over them as they stared into each other's eyes, sealing the bond between their hearts.
"I'm glad you followed me."
"I'm glad you asked me to join."
Diana grinned as Kal kisses the tip of her nose lightly.
Kal then rested his forehead against hers as they began to sway together to an unheard tune, occasionally kissing and whispering sweet words of love to each other, otherwise silent in their embrace. They were overtaken by the sheer emotion of finally sharing themselves together, fully.
