Here's chapter 3 everybody.
Chapter 3: A Trap.
Danny, Dani and Kayla arrives back at Fenton Works with one of Clockwork's books. Danny then open the book to page 78 before Dani activates a scanner from the many Stark designs to scan the page before it shows a holographic projections of the page.
"Alright, we gotta explain this fast cause time is critical." Dani said.
"Before we started, where's Manfred?" Danny asked.
"He's still on his way?" Venus replied.
"Should we get Jazz's help?" Sierra asked.
"No. Due to her pregnancy, I'm not taking any chances. Want to make sure her pregnancy goes well and eventually meet my future nephew or niece." Danny said.
"I heard she has a scheduled ultrasound soon so we'll hear from her and Wes on the baby's gender." Dani said.
"Good. Okay, anyway, back to the matter at hand." Danny said.
"Anyway, this is the Staff of Reality. It works just like the Reality and Universal Gauntlet's, but it only needs the Gem of Infinity." Dani explained.
"We believe Dan and Dana re going after it now that they have the gem." Danny said.
"Did Clockwork told you where the Staff is located at?" Jacob asked.
"He did." Danny replied.
Dani typed something on the Ghost Zone monitor before a holographic projection of the Ghost Zone is projected in front of everybody.
"Clockwork told us that the Staff is located on a floating island close to Pariah's Keep. Once we see Pariah's Keep, we need to make a slight left turn and then fly straight. It will lead us to it." Danny said.
"So what's the plan, sweetie?" Maddie asked.
"Well it's quite simple. We need to get there before Dan and Dana get their hands on it first." Danny said.
"Once we get the Staff, we'll heavily secure it until Dan and Dana are captured again." Dani said.
"One more thing." Danny said before pressing a button on the wall to open a compartment, showing multiple bracelets. "Ever since last time when Dan and Dana kidnapped Sam and Tucker, I want to make sure that doesn't happen again. So, I ask Mom and Dad to create these specially designed bracelets. They work like the Specter Deflector, so Dan and Dana won't even try to think of doing kidnappings again." Danny said.
"I suppose they're not harmful to you or Dani?" Tucker asked.
"They won't harm us. However, it can harm, Kayla. Your Highness, be sure not to touch us. We don't want to hurt you." Dani said.
"No worries, Dani." Kayla said.
"We'll be sure to include your ecto-signature once this is taken care of, Your Highness." Danny said.
"Thank you, Danny." Kayla said with a smile.
"Glad to have you with us, Your Highness." Valerie said.
"I think some of us should stay here just in case we need to defend Amity Park." Jack said.
"Great idea, Dad." Danny said.
"So who's staying here and who's going to the Ghost Zone?" David asked.
"Sam, Tucker, Kayla, Jacob, Valerie, Dani and myself will go. Dad, you, Mom, Victoria, David, Trevor, Sierra and Venus will stay here just in case if Dan and Dana decides to attack Amity Park and Earth." Danny said.
"Alright, we can take care of that." Trevor said.
"We also need you to also protect Manfred as well as Siv, Grabacr, Ofnir, Halvar and Ragnar until they can get healed." Dani said.
"You all are brave warriors. Even without our help, I know you all will prevail against the Dark Phantoms." Grabacr said.
"I couldn't agree more." Kayla said.
"Alright, let's go get this Staff." Danny said.
After waiting for Manfred to arrive and briefed him on the situation, Danny, Dani, Kayla, Sam, Tucker and Valerie heads out into the Ghost Zone in order to locate and retrieve the Staff of Reality, with Sam and Tucker flying the Specter Speeder, Valerie flying her hoverboard, and Danny, Dani and Kayla flying on their own. The group then noticed Pariah's Keep coming up.
"To think, Queen Annaya's father is this Pariah Dark. Hope he never gets released. He reminds me of my father in many ways." Kayla said.
"Definitely. He was tough for Danny to beat last time he was released." Sam said.
"Anyway, Clockwork said we need to make a slight left turn over Pariah's Keep and then to keep going straight ahead." Danny said.
The group then made a slight left turn before flying straight ahead. After a few minutes, they noticed a large floating with a castle-like structure. The group landed at the floating island before entering the structure. After another few minutes, the group noticed a set of stairs leading up to the Staff of Reality, which was floating.
"There it is." Sam said.
"Well, that was easy." Tucker said.
"Don't taste victory yet. Anything can happen." Jacob said.
"Jacob's right. We're not done yet." Dani said.
"You think there could be traps leading up to the staff?" Valerie asked.
"One way to find out. Keep a eye out." Danny said.
Danny walked up the flight of stairs that leads to the staff. With no traps, Danny made it to the top and now stood next to the Staff of Reality. Danny then went to grab the Staff, but instead of grabbing it, his hands phase through the Staff. Danny tired again but still his hand still phases through the Staff. Suddenly, the Staff dissolves in a yellow mist, making Danny realized what is happening and flew back to his teammates.
"It's a fake guys! They already have it!" Danny warned.
Suddenly, evil laughter from Dan and Dana began echoing around them as the entire structure began to dissolve in a yellow mist, revealing a burning wasteland.
"Well, well, if it isn't our hero selves." Dana said, not seen.
"And still pathetic as they are the last time we fought." Dan said, also not seen.
Suddenly, Dan and Dana reveal themselves as they walk past the flames, with Dan now holding the Staff of Reality, with the Gem of Infinity glowing brightly. The gang, including Kayla, look at them with horror.
"Is that... them?" Kayla asked, in shock to see Dan and Dana for the first time.
"They are, Your Highness. Meet Danny and Dani's evil selves from two different timelines." Sam replied.
"And it seems once again you two fail to learn your lesson the last time we fought." Danny said.
"Please, Danny. It seems you and Danielle failed again to keep us contained." Dan said.
"Or the fact that you two failed to take action to secure the Ghost Zone ever since that dusting 7 years ago." Dana said.
"We could have destroy you and Dani during that time, but that wouldn't be no fun." Dan said.
"Doesn't matter. It's been 8 years since last time and you two have no idea what you're up against." Dani said.
"Please, Danielle. You really think 8 years make a difference? You really think those thermoses would keep us trapped again? No and this time, Dan and I will assure this time that you, Danny and the rest of your family and friends will be destroyed and everything you hold dear will be gone and we'll rule your world forever! By the way, nice flaming hair. I see you have some of my influence." Dana said.
"In your dreams, Dana." Dani said.
"And what better way to ensure our goals are met this time then by getting my Gem of Infinity back and retrieve this Staff." Dan said, showing the Staff. "You may have destroy my Universal Gauntlet and destroy most of the Reality Gems, but I always and will find a way to control reality as Dana and I desire." Dan said.
"We won't let that happen." Danny said.
Danny and Dani then flew at top speed towards Dan and Dana. However, Dan fired a beam from the Gem of Infinity towards the ground before a rock fist came to life and gave a massive punch to Danny and Dani, sending them back towards the others.
"Oh, I should remind you all that they also want a little revenge." Dan said.
Dan then use the Staff of Reality to extinguish the flames, revealing Fright Knight, Prince Aragon and his henchmen Archer and Executioner Ghost, Undergrowth, Vortex, Hotep-Ra and Nocturne, outnumbering the team.
"We're outnumbered!" Jacob said.
"This was a trap. We fell right into it!" Valerie said.
"Indeed, Valerie., And now you all shall die!" Dan said.
"Not on my hands!" Kayla said.
Kayla then proceed to use her deadly telepathic powers against Dan, Dana, Fright Knight, Prince Aragon, Archer and Executioner Ghost, Undergrowth, Vortex, Hotep-Ra and Nocturne. They all heard the high-pitched sound and started to scream in pain, causing Dan to drop the Staff and making Kayla smirk.
"Everyone, gather around me. I'll teleport all of us and your Specter Speed back to Fenton Works." Kayla said.
Danny, Dani, Sam, Jacob, Tucker and Valerie gathered around Kayla before using her powers to teleport everyone and the Specter Speeder back to Fenton Works. Once they were gone, Dan, Dana and the rest of their allies grabbed their heads in pain before Dan grabbed the Staff and faces Fright Knight.
"Fright Knight, who was that?" Dan asked in anger.
"I don't know, but her ecto-signature is familiar to me. She's a Custodi ghost." Fright Knight said.
"A what?" Dana asked.
"She's a Harvester ghost. Just like Hertha." Fright Knight replied.
"A Harvester ghost allied with those losers? That's impossible." Dana said.
"If you want your lieges, I can learn more about and even destroy her." Fright Knight offered.
"Save that for later. Let's head back to our lair. It's time Dana and I finally enact our revenge on Danny and Dani Phantom." Dan said.
Dan, Dana and their allies then flew off to head back to their lair, ready to take their revenge to the next level.
And that's the end of the chapter. Well, things are definitely not looking good for the team, despite Kayla's support. And Fright Knight seems to be familiar with Kayla's ecto-signature.
